  1. Man Delano ! What's up with all this magical and astrology talk.....lol. If you're an expert in magic then I wish you'd moved to Washington D.C. and focus on driving the evil forces out of the government. But to answer your question: I believe in cause and effect. I believe every effect has a cause. My beliefs are similar to Troy's with regard to magic. In the physical world when we KNOW the cause...we call it "science". When we DON'T know the cause we call it "magic". It's like a little kid who believes that Santa Claus is the one who is bringing the gifts UNTIL they're old enough to realize the truth of who's REALLY bringing the gifts. However I also believe in a spiritual world, and I've had spiritual experiences But I don't consider this "magic. I believe effects in and from the spiritual realm also have causes....known and unknown to us. I guess the real reason I hesitate in using the term "magic" is because of the origins of the word. Actually when you study religion, the word "magic" comes from the word "magi" who were members or priests of the religion of Zoroastrianism of ancient Persia from which Christianity derived some of it's teachings. In the Bible it talks about the wise-men from the east coming to see baby Jesus bearing him gifts. They were also known as the "Magi" and used astrology and observed stars to find the place of his birth. They believed his birth would herald a new "age".

  2. Today on a whim I decided to see how much effort it would take to compile a list of all the Black writers to win a Pulitzer Prizes in the book-related categories. My list even includes the awards for drama, since all of the plays are available in book form. Since they have been giving the award away for a century, I figured this effort would take considerable effort to complete. Sadly, it took a few minutes—a slight exaggeration—but far less effort than I expected because the list so short. It took over 70 years for the to award to be given to more than a handful of Black writers. It is possible I may have missed a few. If anyone notices any omissions please let me know. I also included Lin-Manuel Miranda, but I don't actually know if he self-describes as "Black," or of "African descent." At any rate, the books that have won at all worth checking out. Although Manning Marable's book got a lot of hate from some critics. You just can't go around writing about Malcolm X's sexual relationship with some a white dude and not expect some blow back...

  3. The astrology practiced in the West is mostly entertainment based on mythological misunderstandings. However the REAL astrology as practiced by ancient cultures was based on the gravitational pull of planets and stars on human chemistry and how it affected moods and behaviors. Extremely high science when practiced in it's true form.

  4. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/brown-girl-magazine/nonblack-people-of-color-_b_14434776.html The article is basically a call for non-Black people to thank us for paving the way for them in America, to apologize for their roles in perpetuating White supremacy not only against us but against their very own selves and self interests, and to start supporting Black people and organizations more instead of avoiding us. For years I had hoped that other people of color would one day wake up and "see the light" and finally recognize the truths of what those of us who've been here for generations before them already knew. And lo... Donald Trump comes along and stand before them with a big ass flashlight in his hand SHOWING them what's up. In Trump's America there are only 2 races.....White and "Other"....lol. Thank You President Trump!

  5. This morning before dawn, I had a dream of a talking rat who was exposing what was supposed to be hidden. Not sure of the context but I remembered Chinese New Year. (01/28/17) - Welcome the Year of the Rooster!
