Marginalizing AfroAmericans by replacing with other groups has been underway for a few years now. The Hispanic population already outnumbers AfroAmericans before immigration. By 2045, the US population will be: 190,000,000 White 94,000,000 Hispanic 50,000,000 Black 30,000,000 Asians 15,000,000 Other White folks will make up the majority in terms of race and still run everything but they will be the minority-majority with all other races aggregated. As a result, the political parties will go after the Hispanic and other votes. That's the future targeted voting block. This will keep white folks them from having to depend on the Black vote. More importantly, it will keep them from having to do anything for Black folks in order to get their vote.

Artificial Intelligence Continues to Amaze (and Scare) Me

@Troy, until brotha Del feeds information into an algorithm, AI cannot do anything with it. -
Gov. Walz just went back to his regular job as Minnesota governor after they lost the POTUS election. Elected Democrats have 2-3 months to do whatever they can until it's time to deal with POTUS OJ's administration.

Right. She'll do private speaking engagements and make money. She might keep her finger on the political pulse.

https://apnews.com/article/tim-walz-presidential-election-2024-01f76023f34f2936770ba74ea544951e Gov. Tim Walz vows to keep up the Democratic fight. He's still using the same talking points "meaningful work, safe neighborhoods, good schools, affordable quality health care." The Democrats need to start talking more directly about how they're gong to put more money in pockets.

Artificial Intelligence Continues to Amaze (and Scare) Me

Sure. Technology is highly beneficial both directly and indirectly. POTUS OJ definitely benefitted from social media. He also did 900 rallies en route to getting back into the White House. Creative people are born that way. Technology allows then to express their creativity in different ways. A creative musician can compose a hit song using their instrument. They don't need a studio full of equipment. OTOH, there are people with a room full of the latest technology who cannot compose anything. dple. a regular pianophotographer can take beautiful pictures with a Technology can increase productivity. It doesn't make people creative. Just facilities it. In a capitalistic environment, those who exploit technology and sell it will reap the riches. -
The same way they found and groomed POTUS Obama back in 2004. By 2008, his charisma and oratory had America eating out of his hands. VP Harris doesn't have the aforementioned qualities as former POTUS Obama. As mentioned, VP Harris is a woman. White America isn't ready for a female POTUS. Right now, I believe California Governor Gavin Newsom will be the Democratic nominee in 2028. If Gov. Newsom isn't interested for one reason or another, current Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro might be courted. These dudes are currently on the Democrats candidate wire. Between now and 2.5 years from now, another shining star could show up in the party. Spoiler alert...it won't be Governor Tim Walz.

The Black and Hispanic men who voted for POTUS OJ claim it was because they had more money in their pockets during his last term. I just hope they're nottreferring to those little funky azz stimulus checks that were being handed out during the pandemic. Seems like his misdeeds were perfectly acceptable to the majority of people and others. Like a crime scene with the yellow tape...nothing left to see here. Bag it up. 10-4. I'm glad you're still here to witness this f8ckery. Easier to digest when you can find humor in it. As a wee lad, myy parents used to tell me "everything ain't funny". My response was always...yes it is. Over a half-century later, I can still get a chuckle out of d8mn near anything.

That's true. There will always be a few who want something different. -
I thought Q's secrets would go to the grave with him. Keep in mind what I wrote about the entertainment industry in other threads. Jaguar Wright isn't too far off the mark in spilling tea on the business. I do wonderwhat Jaguar Wright is getting out of airing Black folks' dirty laundry though.

Exactly. Unfortunately, the world will become increasingly comfortable with the homogenization of everything including ideas. Creativity and originality i.e. flavor will be replaced with the generic and disposable which of course has little or no value. -

I still believe whenever AI fully *matures* it won't make too much of difference in the lives of Gen-Xers and older folks. Most of us will be retired or expired. For example, how tech savvy do folks have to be in the generation of our current POTUS and POTUS elect. The most those old cats are doing with computer technology is sending emails and text messages. POTUS PJB is getting ready to bump back down to a flip phone as soon as he lands back in Delaware. He'll be propped up behind a desk with a fake red phone. He'll be yelling at spam callers. Otherwise, every iteration of AI will give younger folks an opportunity to make life easier for themselves. Better remains to be seen. -
America has been patriarchal evee since it broke away from the crown of England. The Founding Fathers of America didn't have any women sitting at the table. Nor did they consult them when it came to establishing this country. White women in America are perfectly fine with patriarchy too.. Surely, a few white women stood up for suffrage and other women's rights. For the most part, white women are silent. They follow the lead of white men. You will never see white women berating white men. Even in disagreement, there's a certain level of respect. When white women are reminded of POTUS OJ's sexual assaults, they'll shrug their shoulders and say, "boys will be boys". They will vote for whoever their husbands support. That's why Democrats resorted to putting stickers in women's bathrooms telling white women not to be afraid. In the voting booth, their husbands wouldn't know for whom they were voting. Despite the narratives about non-white men being violent, white women aren't afraid of that especially when the majority of them do not live in those environments. Look at the electoral map. That swath of red states are made up predominantly of white folks. They don't have to fear minorities. Like every other group of people, white folks mainly criminalize each other. Watch Dateline and First 48. White women think just like white men when it comes to non-white people. They're on code.

I don't predict the Democrats will win the next election. They have a lot of work to becoming a stronger party.

Rashida Jones wrote a letter to The Source magazine when the late Tupac had negative things to say about her dad and their family. Tupac ended up dating Kidada Jones who is also Quincy's daughter. Pac met the family and apologized to all of them. Before his murder, Pac and Q were cool.

VP Harris went as far as America was willing 2 let her go and they shut the door.

The election is a wrap. POTUS OJ will be back in the White House in January. Yet, nobody is asking white women why so many of them still voted for POTUS OJ despite his offenses against their own gender. If that 46% of women who voted for POTUS OJ had ridden with VP Harris instead, she would have easliy won all swing states and flipped a couple of red states too. Never while berating Black men was it brought up that white women should have been voting against POTUS OJ considering his baggage.
-
The next 4 years will be similar to POTUS OJ's 1st term from 2016-2020. Hopefully, there won't be another pandemic. However, POTUS OJ may have a few scores to settle during his grievance tour. He's not above pettiness. His narcissism will definitely scorch earth. Those who sought to accuse, indict and convict him of anything will need to avoid being hauled into court for one reason or another. Of course, the public officials who will definitely have to get new jobs. Not hard to do in private industry. White nationalism will be supported and celebrated. Wealthy folks will make more money. The status quo will remain unchanged for Black folks and the poor. Life won't get any better or too much worse.

They Should Have Convinced and Ran With Michelle
ProfD replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
I remember when as FLOTUS Michelle Obama, she tried to encourage children heathier eating and physical fitness. White folks lost their minds. How dare FLOTUS tell them their brats ate ate too much and were overweight. I believe Honey Boo Boo was still on TV too. Nevermind that the Obama family looked like models in family pictures. White folks didn't care. They just saw FLOTUS wagging her finger and telling them what to do. White men do not want women to be in charge of anything. They don't want women telling them what to do. Especially women of color. it's easy to see in management positions. There are plenty women in leadership positions. White men tolerate it. In the same way they deal with Black folks. White men are not ready to allow their wives to see themselves as POTUS. That's not how the Founding Fathers set up the program. -
Popular vote doesn't win POTUS elections. It's all about the electoral college. POTUS OJ lost the popular vote in 3 election cycles. This is the 1st time POTUS OJ has actually won the popular vote. Well, if you don't believe America is a sexist, racist, patriarchal country, just like racism white supremacy, believing anything else will only lead to confusion. Every generation of AfroAmericans has understood what America is and many of us have faced those obstacles and hurdles and been successful in spite of it. The current generation of AfroAmericans will also figure out how to thrive and survive in America too. Anything is possible. POTUS Barack Obama is proof. If/when another charismatic Black man comes along with similar credentials, he could potentially move the crowd. She never really stood a chance of winning as long as America has its flaws.
-
Both. The Democrats strayed too far from the Left and propped up a weak candidate. The Democrats have always been spineless. However, in this case, they lost so badly there's nothing to contest.
-
I only heard a portion of VP Harris' speech but she did seem gracious in conceding defeat. She vowed there would be a peaceful transfer of power. VP Harris also plans to keep fighting for the campaign issues. Don't know in what capacity she plans to stay involved in politics when she leaves DC.
-
I believe both lost because they're women. America isn't ready. Sexist and racist. POTUS PJB still a white man in charge. White voters were fine with a female of color being VP. 2nd in command. Only takes over if POTUS becomes incapacitated or dies in office. The media tried to sell VP Harris. Clearly she was not gaining popularity to the extent they claimed in polls. VP Harris had 4 months to campaign. POTUS OJ had been in the media for 8 years.
-
POTUS OJ has been a constant presence in the media for 8 years. VP Kamala Harris showed up on the scene in relief of POTUS PJB in July 2024. No way she could make up enough ground in 4 months. The Democrats should have groomed a candidate 2 years ago to take over for POTUS PJB. POTUS PJB hamstrung the Democratic party during the mid-terms when he decided to run for re-election. The Democratic party played the wrong game and lost.

The Democrats have plenty time to retool and become stronger. We'll see if they groom former FLOTUS Michelle Obama or a dude to run for POTUS in 2028.
