I did not but I will on the strength of your suggestion. -

I'm slightly jealous because I don't have these types of experiences. As far as I'm aware, none of my dead family members and friends ever checks on me. They don't provide knowledge, wisdom, advice, lottery numbers, etc. If another realm exists, maybe my former peeps are having way too much fun to revisit me. -
A Short History of Hair Discrimination-- Bad Hair

The question to ask is why are non-Black folks attending HBCUs in the 1st place. Non-Black folks don't need to be educated in our schools in order to get a job from the dominant society. But, I can think of several reasons for their enrollment. It's definitely not to help us. -
When I read @Pioneer1's post that green eyes were exclusive to Caucasians, I could not help but to wonder what he found so attractive about that particular limb.
-
Absolutely not. Education and logic are relevant. However, it seems a steady diet of BS definitely generates cash flow.
-
@Pioneer1, you're asking all of the *right* questions as it relates to these events. The answer is solving the mysteries of historic events won't change anything. instead, academics and TV show producers use historic events and mysteries as an industry to sell books, magazines, movies, documentaries, merchandise, etc. Every few years, it seems we get new movies and documentaries about wars, assassinations, engineering disasters and UFOs/UFAs and other science fiction. There's no money in curing diseases or solving mysteries. It's all about maintenance.

Reads like the kind of meal that would keep folks from getting the -itis and falling asleep during a heavy conversation. There's a whole lotta Black folks on the planet. Tribe or Edom or Jacob won't make any difference in breaking out of prison.

Education runs parallel to parenting in human development. The majority of Americans are educated in public schools. Despite the statistics, the majority of our people do not have bad parents. Financial literacy would be more productive than social engineering. It's unfortunate to think the worst of our people. Nope. Our community rose up out of it's lowest point. Obviously, we can improve through codification, education and empowerment. Only a minority of the community is suffering to that degree. Even those conditions would change once those reparation checks are cut.

Violence in all forms is a necessary evil among human beings especially when it comes to protection and survival. That's why some folks teach their kids how to fight. Same reason militaries exist.
-
That definitely wouldn't happen around here without consequences. Somebody's manhood would be in the dirt. Most folks are going to spend the money and give back to white folks and others. We have to create enough of economic infrastructure and financial education that encourages vertical integration among Black folks.

Innocent people have to die. An evil man started the world war when he decided to exterminate another group of people. The US and its allies had to get involved to stop the axis of evil. The evil that was slavery led to a Civil War. War is a necessary evil in order to protect peace.
-
Right. Starting a war is evil but amazingly, people will justify and support it. The US is sending billions of dollars to support wars that are kiliing more innocent people than combatants. The American taxpayers aren't enraged about it. White folks start wars to put the world on notice and remind them that death and destruction is child's play when it comes to maintaining power.

Air. Force. Roger. Fortson. Murdered
ProfD replied to harry brown's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Charges are filed based on intent. I can imagine the Florida DA figured it would be easier to prove manslaughter than murder in this case. A warrant for arrest of the deputy has been filed but he hasn't been picked up yet. Surely, the police know where he lives. In these cases, we have to watch the following outcomes, 1) jury verdict and 2) judge sentencing. Justice isn't served until the defendant is found guilty and punished accordingly. -
Gotcha. I was mainly referring to the 1980s/1990s from a music listening perspective. Most people gravitate towards the music they listened to during their teen through young adulthood. Case in point. Music made in the 2000s didn't necessarily cater to folks from the previous generations. We only controlled our music and anything else we produce up until the point when the dominant society sees that its profitable. Young dudes do not have a monopoly on that type of behavior. There are old fools are doing the same thing. The laws protecting women from harassment weren't created a few years ago. They've been around for several decades.
-
War is a necessary evil among human beings as long as they have to protect themselves for survival. Evil intentions lead to wars. An individual or group of people decides they want to destroy or oppress other people. A fight ensues. Regardless of "winners and losers", there's dead people on both sides. Eliminate evil intent. Practice peace, love and harmony. That's universal.

There's no difference between a house and field n8gga in the grand scheme of things. Black folks need to get off those plantations. Butter biscuits aren't nutritious.
-
Tariq Nasheed's comedic timing is very good. In between chopping up game, he will roast folks in NY minute. His impersonation are funny as h8ll too. He gives folks the business.
-
A country of 335 million people would disagree. Specify the community to which you're referring. Reads like some warped form of eugenics. The same Black folks who can’t get Reparations should tackle social engineering. There's a whole lot of slippery slopes in your thesis. As Randy Jackson used to say on American Idol, "that's gonna be a no for me dawg".

A Short History of Hair Discrimination-- Bad Hair
ProfD replied to Chevdove's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Despite anti-discrimination which were enacted for the very same reason, US companies and businesses have forever been making the same considerations when it comes to customer facing jobs. Right. There's a reason we didn't see plus sized airline stewardesses for a long time. Appearance is still a consideration in many jobs. That's why there are dress codes and uniforms too. -
That means you're willing to suffer the consequences of your actions or inactions too. Some dudes believe their woman is personal property. They will do whatever it takes in defense. Considering there's no shortage of women available, I really don't see the point in lusting after a woman who's tied up with someone else already. Seems akin to waiting on a particular urinal instead of using a functional one that's already available. No real or potential issues.

More Black supporters may be riding with him on the naive belief that he'll fix immigration. He won't and can't. That's why the wall was never really built. Most Black conservatives were on the team before immigration became a political football. They have been led to believe in the same Right wing agenda as poor whites, racists and rich white folks. From a comedic perspective, I'd love to see how those same conservative Black folks react if they found themselves back on the equivalent of a plantation.

That might be true of an atheist. Human beings seem to be the ultimate authority of what happens among them whether it's good or evil. Human beings volunteer to do things that make life better for others. Human beings start wars leading to death and destruction. Which is good or evil, both or neither? IMO, a personal decision that doesn't adversely affect the lives of others isn't a matter of good or evil.
