He's having his name removed from the ballot in 10 battleground states. In what should not be a shock or surprise, RFK Jr. is throwing his support behind former POTUS Orange Julius. After masquerading as an Independent candidate, RFK Jr. has fully revealed himself leaning to the Right. It has been said that RFK Jr. may be looking for a seat in the administration if former POTUS OJ wins the election in November. The reality show that American politics has become is in full swing.

Two things will remain true, 1) Democrats will continue sending US dollars to Israel and Ukraine and 2) VP Harris has already stated that she won't do anything to help Black people specifically. IOW, under a new administration, the status quo will remain unchanged. Just a different person sitting in the Oval Office.

Well, if Africa is any indication of Black folks being in control and superiority, we can clearly see how it looks. Black folks aren't a monolithic group. We have many tribes amongst us. Unfortunately, Black folks do not have a level of communication and unification among our people to break the chains of racism white supremacy. Regardless of the Black tribes and who’s speaking for it, that system definitely affects each and every last one of us throughout the planet. I realize it's easier to find a relatively safe spot on the prison yard and chill or be given just enough crumbs to feel a sense of freedom. The smoke snd mirrors provide the illusion of inclusion. The reality is that here in 2024, Black folks still aren't totally free from the system of racism white supremacy. There's no good reason why we as people shouldn't live under a system of justice. "Life isn't fair" is a cop out. Right up there with believing a sky fairy gonna solve all problems here on earth.

Not surprised this murder hasn't been solved. The case will fade to black. Folks will move on with their lives until it happens again.

Black folks have never wanted to control America nor has Black supremacy been codified. Some Black folks do want to replace racism white supremacy with a system of justice.

Rev. Al Sharpton and exonerated men from the Central Park 5 were at the DNC tonight. Somebody needs to tell Sharpton he has already won the Ozempic Olympics. Nobody else gonna lose as much weight. He also needs to give his head a chance to catch up with the rest of his body.

You definitely have not missed anything. The coverage is enough. A cascade of speeches and musical entertainment.

The DNC is a political pep rally. It's a well produced show to celebrate members and entertain the base and try to pull in independent and undecided voters.

No different from white conservatives who want to roll the country back 100 years. Black folks have suffered under the system of racism white supremacy for more than 400 years and counting. This country was built on racism. Impossible to get around an incontrovertible fact because it is ongoing. Politicians on both sides of the aisle pander to the Black vote. Not Asian or Hispanic or other. They specifically want to know what they can do to get the Black vote. Black folks should not pledge allegiance to either political party. We need to define our interests and support politicians who can deliver on them. Black folks need to 1) form our own political party and 2) get something tangible for our vote.

Big money pulls the strings on the whole political system. Very few politicians are exempt.

Many of us have always believed neither political party has served Black folks well. Abraham Lincoln didn't free slaves because he cared about Black folks. The racist LBJ signed the Civil Rights Bill but he didn't give a d8mn about Black folks. Both political parties only do that which is politically expedient when it comes to Black people. The primary objective of both political parties is maintaining the system of racism white supremacy. The warped aspect of it is that both political parties can get Black folks to serve as wardens, officers and trustees in the prison. Black folks need to break from the status quo and form their own political party.

The Obamas gave excellent speeches in support of nominee VP Kamala Harris in her bid for POTUS. I believe former POTUS Bill Clinton will be the keynote speaker tonight.

The DNC didn't steal the nomination from POTUS PJB. They saw him struggling in the ring after his debate performance and a few missteps. They correctly pulled him out of battle and promoted a stronger alternative. The DNC crowd is highly energized in standing behind POTUS PJB as he continues to do the job and passes the torch to VP Kamala Harris as Democratic nominee. IMO, the DNC redeemed themselves very well compared to where they were a month ago.

@aka Contrarian, figured you relatively close to the action. Far enough away to not be impacted by traffic and tourists and protesters. Very cool that your daughter will be in the mix at the United Center. Hopefully, she can catch some tea to spill. After speaking past midnight, POTUS PJB hopped on a plane and landed in Cali early this morning for a vacation. The Obamas will be among the speakers scheduled tonight. Of course, I'll be tuned in to hear them sell the program.

If the Biden administration had established the police accountability commission as mentioned when they were campaigning in 2020, that devil may not have been in a police uniform.

The 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) is being held in Chicago this week. The DNC will officially nominate VP Kamala Harris to run for POTUS. POTUS Joe Biden will pass the torch. Plenty folks will speak to support the nominee. The DNC starts with Pro-Palestinian protests outside the United Center. They are demanding a cease-fire in Gaza. Doubtful anyone will make such an announcement this week. I know our very own @aka Contrarian lives in the great state of Illinois. I'm wondering how far she lives from the windy city. Otherwise, it would be great if we had a boots on the ground correspondent at the DNC reporting whatever we don't get to see and hear on TV.

Happy belated b'day to @aka Contrarian who celebrated yesterday. As I've mentioned several times already and as always remember her, Cynique makes hanging out here a total blast. We don't always agree but I enjoy and appreciate her contribution to the discussions. Thankful to the universe allowing her to see another b'day.

Gotcha. There's enough brilliant Black folks among us to prevent the same mistakes. The question is 1) what will take to motivate Black leadership and 2) are Black folks willing to listen and follow.

Many Black folks 50+ are looking and feeling better in part because they're not working as hard as those who came before them. Also, access to better food and healthcare helps too. That being written, the pendulum can swing wildly. In our 20s and 30s and even 40s, most folks seemed to age at the same rate. However, the other side of 50 is a trip. Some folks still look great and have no medical issues. OTOH, there are others who look aged and/or they're broken down like an old Volkswagen. I've missed every reunion for one reason or another. I'm kinda glad because I really don't want to see how the folks with whom I grew up have aged and whether or not they're still among the living. Thankfully, I was born with decent genetics. I've alway been an old man in younger body. But, glad to still look good and be in great mental and physical health.

Seems like that dude has been in the news ever since he left the White House and before he was Republican nominee. I wouldn't be surprised to find out former POTUS OJ still has a room in the White House.

Facts. Africans are beyond ridiculous when it comes to time. It's nothing for them to start or show up several hours late for some sh8t they planned. If Africans tell you it starts at 3 pm, the people aren't showing up until 6 pm. We need to hear from the b'day lady @aka Contrarian herself. I know it's near if it hasn't happened already.
