  1. No. AfroAmericans who identify as FBA/ADOS. Maybe that more directly answers the poll question again.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. She looks like Foxy Brown to my old eyes.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. Clearly, you overlooked the word rhetorical in my post above. Maybe you haven't read my posts well enough to know that I believe the system of racism white supremacy has made white folks enemies to Black folks here in America and all over the planet for a very long time. On more than one occasion I've addressed the issue of your opposition to and how you expect others to respond to your narratives and questions based on your firmly entrenched biases and points of view. Again, I'll mention that on a discussion forum folks are free to provide their thoughts, views and opinions on a given topic. As evidenced by your own selective use of research and statistics, there's a reasonable amount of latitude in how one chooses to respond to a topic. Never assume what someone else does or does not know solely based on their responses to topics and questions in a discussion forum. A topic of discussion isn't always static or binary. There's room for tangential discourse. It can make the subject more enlightening and entertaining. My brotha, you may want to lighten up in your expectations and/or confirmation bias when it comes to discussions.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. The NYPD did not force Black folks to sell drugs to their own people. The mafia consisting of white immigrants who had little or nothing when they processed through Ellis Island built their wealth in major cities throughout America. The mafia had *rules* and a code of conduct for how they managed their operations. One of the codes was they wouldn't sell drugs to their own people. The rhetorical question becomes what kept Black people from getting in on the action when it comes to building wealth. To build anything anywhere requires codification and cooperation among the group of people in order to be successful.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. One of the reason I *know* I'm a dinosaur man is because in my opinion online dating looks lazy and lame. While online dating would never be a consideration or option for a guy like me but I do wish that I had invented it.๐Ÿคฃ If folks live a lifestyle that is too busy to meet other people in the wild then they don't really have time to date either. ๐Ÿค” I recognize that for certain groups of people and personality types, online dating provides them with access to a pool containing their preferences. The *problem* with a profile is that it cannot capture mutual attraction and chemistry. People give off vibes in passing or on a dance floor or in a meeting place that cannot be populated into a computer. I've met women while I'm out and about; in certain settings and places where they would not have caught my attention otherwise. As a relatively tech savvy person, I know the internet and AI will alter the landscape of how human beings conduct business and interact with each other. Again, I'm just glad to be old skool in everything I do. I'd give up my smartphone if it wasn't for conducting business.๐Ÿ˜ Hopefully, I won't be around long enough that I have to adapt and/or be affected by this new-fangled sh8t.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Doubling down on dumb, the former POTUS son (Don Jr.) has come out with an equally ridiculous claim that African-American men hail him as their hero.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. I voted no. AfroAmericans do not have a Mardi Gras/Carnaval that unites us. I think it's cool that Caribbean folks and other Black people have cultural ties that include annual parties and celebrations. For AfroAmericans, maybe Juneteenth will become a bigger celebration over time.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. @richardmurray, I was referring to the American political system (Democrats and Republicans) as two sides of the same coin. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. The edited video doesn't help the former POTUS nor does it hide his racism. He said Black folks spend $19 on t-shirts bearing his likeness and millions have sold. The man is a clown and a comedian rolled into one.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. The false equivalence blares like a neon sign. ๐Ÿคฃ Every time the former POTUS tries appealing to Black voters it's from a position of condescension. The 1st time Orange Julius told Black folks they might as well vote for him because Democrats haven't done anything for us. Black folks should absolutely call a blatant racist out everytime they come with that BS. Especially if that particular racist wants to run the country. Silence is complicity. As Bumpy Knuckles aka Freddy Foxxx would say..."No, I ain't wit it".๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4487980-byron-donalds-defends-trumps-remarks-on-black-voters-this-is-something-similar/ The latest bootlick to emerge in defending the former POTUS is Rep. Byron Donalds (Florida). Former POTUS made a comment suggesting that because of his four criminal indictments empathic Black voters are more likely to support him. Neither former POTUS Orange Julius nor bootlick Rep. Donalds realizes most Black voters aren't felons or ex-convicts. It's rumored that Rep. Donalds could be a potential VP running mate. Just like Sen. Tim Scott, Black folks can see the shoe polish around these dudes lips. Both Rep. Donalds and Sen. Scott are from the south. That part of the country seems to breed a special kind of bootlick. Doesn't matter to the former POTUS...he will break those tools like #2 pencils when he's done using them.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. Agreed. Black folks shouldn't be waiting on reparations but we d8mn sure should be demanding it front and center. At the same time we're demanding reparations, we should also be building a Black economic infrastructure to reinvest that money so that it never leaves our community. Done properly, we can Black-owned everything imaginable and that which hasn't been done yet.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. True. Problem is Fani's fanny is getting up there in years. Also, she's living in a city where men are slim pickings. If she's too busy with her job to find a partner, close to home will have to be good enough. The words are true. Dad guided her well. Fani doesn't need a man for security. Apparently, the money doesn't take care of whatever is going on with Fani's hormones though.๐Ÿ˜ When Fani needs an oil change dad's teaching amd guidance flew out the window.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. Younger Black folks are increasingly becoming disenfranchised with Democrats and the current political system. I believe it's just a matter of time before the Independent movement becomes a lot stronger. It will produce 3rd party candidates.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. It's already happened to a degree with integration several decades ago. Most intelligent Black folks do not live among the riff raff elements of our race. They've moved to middle-class and better suburbs and other enclaves of well to do Black folks. The *problem* is that those same intelligent Black folks who've *made it* aren't concerned about reparations of any kind and dismantling the system of racism white supremacy.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. @Pioneer1, definitely gotta have top flight security on deck when there's a free party open to all.๐Ÿ˜ Both men and women might turn up when someone is bumped or foot is stepped on accidentally.๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. Some businesses can only flourish online. In other words, it wouldn't make sense to lease, rent or pay mortgage on a physical space. A brick and mortar establishment only succeeds as much as the community in which it serves and foot traffic allows. The internet is a great way to reach a global customer base. We need both online and brick and mortar businesses working together.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. True. Integration lulled Black folks into a false of complacency that they were moving on up like The Jeffersons and racism was almost dead. Those folks are living off their retirement and social security and shrugging their shoulders because they made it and the future generations need to figure it out. You'll find many of that generation taking bus trips to casinos as one-armed bandits sitting at a machine trying to get paid, er, win more money. Drugs devastated Black communities on a number of levels. One level was many of those integrated, hardworking Black folks had offspring who fell into drug addiction and lost everything their families had built. As I mentioned in another thread, Black drug dealers should have sold dope exclusively to white folks and used their money to build Black wealth.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. I think it's only a matter of time before there's a movement against the current political system which is two sides of the same coin.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. It's true. Black folks are their own worst enemy from all sides when it comes to aiding and abetting the system of racism white supremacy. A sellout preacher misleading his congregation with lies is no different from the drug dealer who chooses to sell dope in his own community. They're both working for the same enemy. Black drug dealers should have sold exclusively to white folks and used their money to build Black wealth.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. Just as our generation overcame whatever the previous generation felt we lacked, the future generations will figure it out. As humans, they will realize their is more to life and living than being in a silo. A failure to connect on a personal level would mean the end of human existence. That's never going to happen. 8 billion people in the world and counting. Sure. Every generation faces the same challenges and uncertainties especially with emergent technologies. Starting in the 1980s, computers dramatically shifted the way we work and play. In the 1990s, the World Wide Web opened up a global marketplace. As you mention in the video, Smartphones put a computer in everyone's pocket. IMO, Artificial Intelligence (AI) will put a lot of people out work especially in white collar jobs. Rich and power white folks are doing whatever it takes to put more layers between themselves and those who have to work for a living. However, people who have the ability to build, fix and produce with their hands will always be able to make money. As I alluded above, human beings are social creatures. Biologically, computers (social media or AI) will not prevent them from doing what comes naturally. In my eternal optimism, the kids (future generations) will be alright.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. @Troy, great job on the video. Interesting information and perspective that needs to be shared. Hopefully, the video will help others to understand their consumption of social media and technology in general. Kudos mayne.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฟ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. Yep. Between the media attention he gets and debating Gov. Ron DeStupid, I believe Gov. Gavin Newsome is being groomed by Democrats for a promotion within the party. Whatever excitement we had for our 1st female VP and a woman of color, the wind has been blown from our proverbial sails as she's done nothing to show leadership capabilities. Temperature is definitely rising.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. https://foxsportsradio.iheart.com/content/2024-02-21-kansas-city-chiefs-parade-shooter-told-police-he-was-just-being-stupid/ Unfortunately, in an episode of dumb sh8t n8gglets do, a 23-year-old Black man decided to pull a gun and start shooting at another group of dudes with whom he had words. The shooter claimed he pulled his gun because he feared the young woman with him might get shot by someone from the other group. Reads like he was showing off. The argument stemmed from the shooter looking at the other group. That's dumb n8gglet sh8t right there. A set of eyeballs should not lead to shots fired. Further down the road of stupidity these idiots pulled guns in the middle of a parade consisting of about 800k people celebrating the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory. One person was shot and killed, several children were shot and many folks were injured trying to get out of harms way. Needless to type, the state will bury these n8gglets in prison. The 1st shooter didn't fire the shot that killed someone but I'd imagine they'll find a way to give his dumb azz a life sentence. I know @Pioneer1 will have a field day with this thread. ๐Ÿคฃ I'm pro-Black to the core but it doesn't stop me from calling balls and strikes when it comes to our people no differently from attacking the system of racism white supremacy. White folks had nothing to do with setting these dumb azz n8gglets off. That's a separate issue we need to fix.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/young-black-voters-2024-biden-1234965054/ Democrats may have problem with Black voters in 2024. Black voters especially under 50 years old are 1) questioning what Democrats have done for them and 2) threatening to vote for the couch. Black folks have mostly voted Democrat for decades knowing Republicans weren't going to do anything for us. The Boomer generation is fine with the status quo comfortable with retirement and social security checks. Gen-X has just enough access to employment opportunities, capitalism and gross materialism to be complacent with the status quo. However, they're uncertain about the future of their retirement and social security benefits. Millennials and Gen-Z folks do not have the same outlook. Fewer employment opportunities especially as technology takes over and student loan debt and most importantly, 1) no Black economic infrastructure and 2) no generational weslth or inheritance to prevent them from starting at ground zero. The question for Black folks becomes what's the purpose of voting for either of these parties when the old folks running them don't give a d8mn about Black folks especially the younger folks and they're not providing tangibles. It doesn't help that two old azz white men are running for POTUS. Each has his own issues. The one thing both leading POTUS candidates have in common is neither one gives a f8ck about Black folks.๐Ÿ˜Ž
