@aka Contrarian provides an excellent peek into the window of someone who doesn't have to work.🙂 It doesn't matter that she did X number of years in the trenches to afford her a generous pension. The fact is that she has not atrophied or turned into a menace to society because she no longer has to punch a clock and labor.😁 Evil and greedy people have always used the cheapest form of labor to enrich themselves. Slavery is the best and worst example of it. In the modern era, there are many countries throughout the world providing a cheap labor force to enrich the most powerful countries. Humans have been inventing and using some type of machine to work for them simce the beginning of civilization. AI is a part of the same continuum.😎

Black folks have no friends when it comes to other groups of people. Non-Black folks should be treated like associates. We should only deal with them as it benefits our permanent interests. These kids were only doing what white folks have been doing for 100s of years. Mocking and making fun of Black folks isn't new. Yet, the minute anyone utters a word Jews don't like or if they don't fully stand with Jews with trumpets blaring, they're quickly labeled antisemitic. Every now and then, someone will mention civil rights and protests and ask why Black folks aren't lending their voices to support one side or the other in these conflicts. It warms my heart that for the most part, Black folks have stayed out of the business of these conflicts. Simply put...it's not our fight. Black folks should remain silent for the same reason that other groups of people are doing so whether it's race, religion, sexual orientation, political affiliation, or favorite sports teams, etc. Black folks do not owe the Jews or anybody else our support in their struggles to be free or their desire to oppress. Throughout history, any support other groups of people have shown Black folks has been opportunistic and/or parasitic. Support and solidarity are utilized to serve permanent interests. Black We folkd should be operating likewise.😎

Sure. There is plenty technology in transportation vehicles. For now, in most commercial transportation, a human still sits in the driver's seat. Just in case a manual override is required.😁 Same here. People like us have always been around. That won't change especially when it comes to work that can only be done physically.😎

Right. But, a lot of so called work doesn't really produce anything tangible. Many jobs are the equivalent of a daycare center for adults. Designed to keep people *busy*. As I mentioned above, there are many jobs that could disappear and society would not fall apart. OTOH, there are many jobs that are necessary. Blue collar jobs where people make, build and fix things. Service industry jobs where people provide products, goods and entertainment. Transportation-related jobs are vitally important to an economy. Entertainment is a job. The pandemic actually showed that people could work from home instead of commuting back and forth and causing traffic jams. In most white collar jobs, 60% of the work involves a computer and the other 40% is meetings. In the future, many of those computer-based jobs will be replaced by AI. Higher unemployment. It is true that many people who are accustomed to the routine of being a hamster on a wheel when told to get off don't know what to do with themselves. Some of them atrophy and die. I know a whole lot of people who have been retired the majority of their lives. Never really worked anywhere. Most wealthy people and their families don't have to work. They aren't running around committing mass suicide either. The number of people who can be supported by one person with millions or billions of dollars is exponential. The same applies to countries with countries with socialist governments. There's a reason we hear talk of reducing the number of hours per week that people work. Provide more free time in an effort to increase quality of life. 😎

Bingo. Always in effect. Amazingly, too many Black folks either want to 1) pretend that it doesn't exist or 2) afraid and/or too lazy to fight it or 3) anesthetize themselves through escapism and gross consumerism.😎

For those so fortunate, every day will be like the weekend or whatever day folks don't have to do physical labor in order to survive. Already, there are many jobs that are glorified welfare. IOW, the world would not stop spinning if nobody sat in that office or cubicle. AI will allow those people to literally sit at home and collect their UBI (Universal Basic Income). It will be very similar to retirees, folks on worker's compensation, disability and welfare, etc. . There is always a few billion people on the planet who have never had to work a day in their lives. We call them children.😁 As I mentioned in another thread, most people in oil rich countries don't work to survive. The job is more of an avocation. Civilization will not collapse just because a few billion people are on permanent vacation. There's no shortage of real work that has to be done. No way to outsource it. Not even technologically. 😎

Politicians and pundits are showing their Pro-Israel support from funding to showing up on campus to stand with the Jews. Of course, these same folks are calling for the university president to be fired for failure to control the campusc e.g. shutdown protest. Since 1948, Israel has been a US protectorate in the Middle East. The Jews playbook could be a case study in nation building.😎

My vehicle of choice is a truck but I'm not a truck driver by profession.😁 I realize AI is being used to produce content right now. I'm looking at a future of AI lawnmowers. A higher tech version of that Roomba vacuum cleaner.🤣😎

I'm curious to see how long it will take before AI can relieve me of having to do yard work, fix things and knock out home improvement jobs just to name a few.😁😎

The US has a military base in Niger mainly to launch drones. Niger wants us out of there. Not to be undone, the US wants to *negotiate* favorable terms to maintain a presence there. 😎

There are a couple reasons but 1) white folks can never be on the bottom and 2) money. Drug addiction fuels the economy in many ways just like cancer and every other incurable disease or condition.😎

Survival mode has become status quo. Socialism in the form of a UBI (Universal Basic Income) is inevitable as technology wipes out more jobs in America. Of course, we already have an idea of how UBI will be distributed based on the current system.😎

I hope that AfroAmericans find themselves and realize their true potential and real power. Millennials and Gen Z won't be condescending as it relates to any generation preceding them because 1) they're absorbed in social media and their present and 2) Black history is being whitewashed. No offense intended. I have much reverence for the pioneers who led the movement and paid the ultimate price with their lives. The beneficiaries of the struggle...we need to talk.🤣😎

I still hope that Black America will become united in 1) having more love for each other, 2) creating opportunities to build generational wealth, 3) coming up with interests to which politicians can be held accountable, 4) demanding reparations and 5) replacing the system of racism white supremacy with justice. Again, I know its a tall order. But, it's the only way we're going to overcome the racism that affects all of us.😎

If Africa was allowed to control its natural resources, it would be one of if not the wealthiest continents on the planet. 😎

Drugs were dropped into Black communities on purpose. The war on drugs criminalized everybody involved in one way or another. Interestingly, crystal meth and opioids are supposedly a *problem* in white communities. Yet, there is no war on them. The punishments aren't the same either.😎

Right. We've been splintered. The common enemy of racism white supremacy doesn't tie us together. We definitely won't get it if there's no demand. The US doesn't seem to have a problem sending billions of dollars from taxpayers to foreign countries. Just today, congress passed a $95 billion foreign aid package to provide money and weapons to Israel, Ukraine and Taiwan. I've heard charity is supposed to start at home. I guess it only applies to certain conditions.😎

I believe it will take a miracle in the form of a catastrophic event or natural disaster to solve the problems between humans. I doubt that we'll be around to see it happen. In the meantime, for those who still have the energy, we can discuss and debate and offer solutions to anything including lost causes. The record could survive the wreckage of such an event or disaster in the form of our digital footprint. That record could help a future generation. Hopefully they will already be on code in terms of taking care of each other. At best, the record will be unnecessary but they'll know we were thinking about being better humans.😎

@aka Contrarian, asking for legislation Liberals have passed specifically for Black folks (AfroAmericans) is legitimate and not intended as a smoke screen. I provided the example of the anti-Asian Hate Crime Bill. There are bills specifically for the alphabet soup community covering hate, gender neutrality and marriage. There are bills that allow the children of illegal immigrants to stay in the US. There are no bills or laws on the books that specifically provide AfroAmericans with reparations or anything I've listed. Diehard Liberal loyalists don't want to hold them accountable for anything. It doesn't matter that they haven't produced tangibles specifically for Black folks. To be clear, Conservatives haven't provided Black folks with anything. They don't pretend or pander to us either. I'm not bad mouthing either group. Merely stating facts as it relates to the tangibles I listed above. Dr. John Henrik Clarke brilliantly stated that as Black folks "we have no friends". In that regard, it doesn't make any sense for AfroAmericans to reach out to any other group of people to support us. Brown and yellow and other Black people are trying to assimilate into the fabric of whiteness. They just want to be here and tap into whatever goodies, guarantees and giveaways this country provides. No other group of people have a claim to stake in the US as it relates to the original sin of slavery. Native Americans have their own claims to stake. Taking the reservation deal put them in a box. That is their business to unpack. I don't look at it as a crusade or leading a movement. I've laid out what I think would begin to pay the debt that America owes to AfroAmericans. Realistically, I'm aware that reparations is a nearly impossible lift for two reasons: 1) Old AfroAmericans have given up. They took the bait of Civil Rights and affirmative action as compensation. 2) History is being whitewashed in such a way that the current and future generations of AfroAmericans will be left to settle for the status quo. Thankfully, I'm very fortunate that I personally don't need anything from Liberals or Conservatives. That won't stop me from calling balls and strikes as I see them. It would be irresponsible of me to stay silent and not fulfill my duty as an AfroAmerican spokesman.😎

France isn't fooling anybody with that BS excuse. Only reason France reinvesting in their military is to crush opposition in their colonized countries. I saw this move coming down the pike when Niger asked the French to leave last year.😎

@aka Contrarian, I notice you didn't list any legislation Liberals have passed specifically for Black folks.😉 The reparations package would be expansive enough to cover several things but to name a few: Free healthcare Free higher education Zero interest housing loans Zero iinterest business loans Land Stock Repeal unfair sentencing guidelines Repeal laws that disproportionately affect Black folks As two sides of the same coin, both political parties have handed out the similar patronage jobs and other crumbs to Black folks. Conservatives had Condie Rice, Colin Powell, JC Watts, Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas and others. I'm not affiliated with either party so I do not parrot their party lines. I call balls and strikes as I've seen them over the past several decades.😎
