  1. LOL You know, someone should do another interview with YOU about your experiences growing up in Harlem in the 70s and your journey through college, corporate America, and on to your passion and involvement in Black literature. I can see the book cover now: 2 pictures side by side eachother...... One picture is of a little Black boy sitting on a curb next to a fire hydrant on a trashy sidewalk/ the other picture is of you in your office today grinning. ** **If you go with that idea...I DO expect to be paid a royal percentage for each book sold. I'm serious. No...really....I'm serious....I'm NOT playing. I'm trying to get PAID, my dude!
  2. Troy I have to remind myself periodically to accept the fact that some people will never about others. And also check in with my thread about how some of our people just don't care from time to time: Just Admit You Don't Care: The Indifference of some AfroAmericans to eachother's pain...... Daniel It was probably more the stress from the lockdowns. If he owned a restaurant as Troy's post suggests, I'm sure the stress of the massive shut downs in New York weren't helping. But deaths from Covid 19 are pretty CLEAR CUT as having a physical causes and "stress" alone won't do it. It's been my observation in Michigan and a few other states I've visited and MOST of the stress from the supposed lock-downs aren't from the actual isolation itself but from the LACK OF proper government preparedness and conflicting and confusion information. CONFUSION is what stresses people out the most! Most of the stress from the lock downs don't come Are you two talking about the same individual? Did the classmate YOU speak of die or something?
  3. Troy If he had a high profile job with Fox News or some corporation I might agree with you, but he go canned by PBS Caucasian media is Caucasian media regardless of the titles and supposed political leanings. Besides, PBS brands itself as being very pro-LGBTQ and pro-feminism. They most likely have a very low threshold for any type of sexism or perceived mistreatment of women by a man. for Christ's sake. You didn't learn to use that term in Harlem. You picked it up from going to college and working with those White New Yorkers....lol.
  4. Nnamdi @Nnamdi Azikiwe Well brother the ORIGINS of the Caucasian race isn't the Caucasus mountains. They came into being somewhere else but were DRIVEN into those mountains about 6,000 years ago after causing trouble among the original peoples in Africa and the Middle East.
  5. Troy True Breaking News: It seems that now even the White House PRESS SECRETARY has contracted Covid-19! Kayleigh McEnany
  6. Troy Lol....... Well if you don't know what he actually did or the details of what he's accused of, how can you make the argument that he should face jail time? You're condemning the brother on mere speculation. Him being a high profile AfroAmerican man in a racist dominated industry like the mainstream media.....it seems to me you would actually give HIM the benefit of the doubt and presume his mistreatment. You should presume that not only is he innocent, but that he he is a actually a VICTIM of racist targeting and a shake-down for money by disgruntled opportunists.
  7. Troy I've heard the same thing about Tavis. I've heard he was arrogant and aloof. But MOST professional Black men are that way because a lot of us feel like we aren't as valued by society as we SHOULD be. I'm not saying this is the case with Mr. Smiley but a lot of professional and intelligent successful AfroAmerican men have reconned that with all of the brothers out here who aren't going to school, aren't working, aren't taking care of their families, and living a life of crime and degradation.....those of us who ARE successful should be almost worshipped and adored for the successes we are. This is some of the reason a lot of AfroAmerican men who are successful feel they are ENTITLED to a lot of sex. They feel they deserve it as a reward for being a "good brutha". I feel the same way some times. Now whether that's right or wrong I'm not sure, but that's how a lot of us feel. Come on man Obama isn't even a genius few people are. The idea that you would attribute "charisma and social intelligence" to Trump is mind blowing. Hearing 45 speak off script is very revealing. Despite access to every conceivable advantage 45 communicates like a child. I don't know what 45's IQ but I'd be willing to bet it is below the median (100). Troy...... The man's a real estate mogul and (or was) a multi-billionaire. Do you think he got to that position with Down Syndrome? He's not very articulate or scholarly, but these are more academic attributes. He's a master MANIPULATOR when it comes to human emotion and "selling" people on ideas....which takes a lot of intelligence. Intelligence.....like energy....can be manifested in different ways. Much like a person with a lot of energy can be a football player or gymnast depending on their innate talents; a person of high intellect can use it to further their academic education or use it in business or even use it on the streets to be a big time dope dealer. He talks TO HIS SUPPORTERS like little children because that's what THEY understand. Another sign of an intelligent person who knows how to relate to his target audience. But don't confuse articulation (or the pretended lack of it) with intelligence. BTW, homeboy (President Obama) was President of the Harvard Law Review. He was certainly GIFTED if not an actual genius. The reason he didn't seem like the typical genuine geniuses you've probably encountered (as few of them as there are) is because..... Not sure how much you know about psychology and IQ but certain exceptional abilities will "throw off" your personality unless you have other exceptional abilities just as high to "balance" them. Obama did. Have you noticed that when your ideas are challenged to then take them to an extreme case. Well you're very observant (a sign of intelligence... ..lol). I often use more extreme examples and analogies so that my points are clearly understood. Not that the subject should be considered as extreme as the example I give.
  8. This happened MONTHS ago. Has there been any considerable repercussion from it? You say Google is fanning the flames of racial strife as if those flames weren't ALREADY stoked by your commander-n-chief and the others who came behind him. I'll tell you the same thing I told FAS..... Collectively speaking, what can racist Caucasian groups do to Black people that hasn't ALREADY been done on a slower scale? Black Americans are already being targeted and killed through disease, police brutality, criminal activity, ect..... So if they got together and decided to stop wasting time with slow acting weapons and do a MASS GENOCIDE that would be over in a matter of weeks, would it be THAT much worse? A man get's diagnosed with HIV at 25. He can either: - take his chances and live many more years and likely die a suffering death from AIDS. * Or - he can go home, enjoy a pizza, and grab a gun or take some pills and kill himself right then and there. ** The question is why would he risk years and years of suffering just to meet the SAME fate? The point I'm making is, IF*** genocide is the destiny anyway, then why waste time and take the scenic route to it (FAS...lol) ? What's the purpose of delaying it and keeping them on "stand by"? * assuming he doesn't die of other causes ** assuming there is no punishment for suicide *** I say "if" because I believe it won't happen but we as AfroAmericans will actually come out on top.
  9. Troy CLEARLY Tavis was forcing himself on the women or men. Otherwise we would not be having this conversation. Well, we COULD be having this conversation because someone LIED on him. You know that DOES happen to Black men from time to time, lol. However that aside....... Unless it was physical (which would be criminal and he was never accused of that), explain to me HOW he "forced" these able bodied adults who weren't being held captive and could presumable leave the area to have sex with him? Help a brutha out.....lol. At least they did not toss Tavis' behind in prison the way they did Dr. Cosby. That's because Tavis wasn't accused of doing WHAT Cosby was accused of doing! Dr. Cosby was accused of RAPE. Whether he actually did or not, he was accused of drugging and INCAPACITATING women before having sex with them which basically means it was against their will! I haven't read anywhere where Tavis was even accused of that.
  10. Troy I haven't met Tavis personally, I only know of him based on what I've seen on television and radio but I would say YES he's a gentlemen. Why? Because he carries himself in an intelligent and respectable manner. He's not a brute, savage, or thug. He's intelligent and articulate and knows how to dress, talk, and behave (atleast in public) in a professional manner. This makes you a GENTLEMEN......whether you're morally good or morally bad. Further, I don't believe you fake intelligence unless you're doing it on a heavily edited video or something. What I mean by that statement is that if you're STUPID you can't fake being highly intelligent. You just don't have it in you. If a man is so intellectually slow that he could never learn to read and can barely even count he's not going to all of a sudden come on a show and and correctly quote the Gettysburg Address word for word and start doing Calculus just to impress people. A person can HIDE their abilities, but they can't DISPLAY abilities that they don't have unless they're being coached on a heavily edited video where the source is hidden. As far as Trump...... He's not a genius but he's far from stupid. He may not be as academically inclined as Obama but he has a wealth of charisma and social intelligence that he uses to manipulate people.
  11. Troy he must have done some serious shit. Unless he actually ASSAULTED someone (rape included) there is nothing that "serious" he could have done to warrant trying to take all of that man's money like that. He's being PUNISHED for being Black and successful. If you want to defend everything short of rape that is cool. Tavis could have found someone else besides a subordinate to screw (he obviously was not making love). Come on man nearly 75% of White couples found eachother ON their jobs! Now how in the world do these couples who were first working together even became involved with eachother in the first place unless they broke their own rules and someone made a sexual advance to the other? These hypocrites (Caucasian authority) are running around lecturing people on work-place relationships and telling people they shouldn't do this and shouldn't do that but THEY are in the back rooms and basements screwing the hell out of eachother. Outside of CERTAIN situations like the military, police, academic institutions, medical profession, and the like......I say if a Black man wants to screw a co-worker as long as he isn't forcing them to he should GO FOR IT. Screw the "rules" or some silly policy if he didn't help make them. Get your freak on bro!
  12. Troy Either Candice is a lady or she sleeps with white men to get ahead -- which is it? What I say often SEEMS contradictory to you because you don't understand the analytical way my mind works and my moral code which is different than most people's. But if you line up what I say you will find definite consistency. She IS a lady in the fact that she knows how to carry herself in an intelligent, classy, well mannered, and feminine demeanor. It's how she acts in PUBLIC that determines how classy she is, not how many men she sleeps with or for what reason. I doubt Cardi's private persona is the same as her public one. Perhaps....... You can fake stupidity but you can't fake intelligence.
  13. Not sure HOW much money it would take for me to be "happy" living in NYC. I don't really find the city very appealing for residential purposes. Long Island....yes.....the City....no. Long Island has a million little villages with funny ass names that have what you need and want to relax and enjoy yourself. You can drive or catch the LIRR to get into the city to take care of any business or attend any event.......and afterwards get back to your nice quiet "funny named" hamlet. Speaking of being happy....... I almost forgot what I was going to say about the original topic of delayed gratification. One of the reasons so many AfroAmericans would rather "eat the desert first" is because so many come from such unstable environments that they don't know if they're going to LIVE long enough to see the results of their efforts. If you grow up in a ghetto hearing gun shots every night and bullets coming in through the windows and half of your friends you grew up with are killed before 25.....why would you "wait" to have fun? You'd want to have as much fun in this life as you can because you never know when you'll meet your demise.
  14. I think entertaining the idea that his behavior was somehow criminal is a little extreme. It's not like he raped or assaulted anyone. From what I understand of the matter it was completely CONSENTUAL between all parties involved. Again, a completely ethical issue and a matter of poor judgment. Not a crime or evil. As far as work-place relationships, It's complex. You shouldn't just have BLANKET policies and rules for every job. Every institution should have different standards and even different standards based on the department. For examples: If it's the military and a person must be qualified to achieve certain positions. Then it should be policy that those of a lower rank not have relationships with superiors. If it's an academic institution where a student relies on their teacher to grade them and pass them, again there should be a policy against sexual relationships there. But if this is the Home Depot and you have 2 co-workers who find eachother attractive...what's wrong with them having a relationship?
  15. Troy I used to see more attracted people get a pass when they should have been fired. Then you had the same observations that I had. This is why I said most very attractive people don't get to develop OTHER skills like intelligence or articulation. They don't have to. Kind of like how most really really giant dudes never really learned how to fight like a smaller guy. They didn't have to. You are, pardon the expression, a classic "dog" LOL! I used to be very inconsiderate. But not on purpose. I didn't realize (because I wasn't taught) that women usually put more "feelings" into sexual relationships than men do and didn't realize the pain I caused seeking what I thought of as recreational pleasure. As I've gotten older I fond it more difficult to sperate what I think of a person from how sexually attracted I am to then. If I find your behavior revolting I'm not sure I'd be able to get it up for you. That is not to say that I physical attraction is not part of the equation. It s not an either/or proposition, it is both. I don't really care about a woman's politics when it come to sleeping with her. To me, a woman's BEHAVIOR or her femininity and classiness matters much more than her politics and even her Black consciousness. This is why I'd choose Candace Owens over Cardi B....lol. Cardi is ghetto and trashy. Candace is a fucking sell-out and probably sucked more White $%&@ to get where she's at, than a little bit. But she knows how to carry herself like a lady! I could actually TAKE Candace SOMEWHERE. I could have her on my arm at an event and she could hold a conversation with people without embarrassing me and herself. Imagine if you went out with Cardi B and took her to some sort of academic event around other professors and teachers...lol. ((said in a Puerto Rican accent)) "I like deez nails but..... When dey are deeees long you know...... It kinda hard to clean yo ass after you use dee john You na'da mean?"
  16. Troy Given your statements @Pioneer1 I can see why these training course are required. LOL.....man shut up! One of rules is that professors can not have sex with the students -- consensual or otherwise. This is obvious to me, but I can see, now where people like Pioneer would see no problem with this and really do need to have someone explain to them why this is just a very bad idea. Perhaps I didn't make myself clear in the previous post. There's a difference between ETHICS, MORALS, and LEGALITY. Look...... I wouldn't do it (if I were a professor or owner of a business) and I don't think it should be done. I agree there should be a policy against it! But this is a matter of ETHICS....not morals. And there shouldn't be any LEGAL repercussions to it like being sued or facing jail time. Understand me clearly...... It IS an unethical thing for a professor to sleep with his students! Yes. But he shouldn't go to JAIL for it or have to pay a FINE for it! The loss of his job under private agreement to the policy should be enough and his punishment should END THERE. You don't go physically harming or locking up people or suing them and taking away their money for consentual sexual behavior.
  17. Most AfroAmericans aren't destitute but most ARE POOR....relatively speaking. I used to do a lot of community work with the homeless and abused peoples so I learned the differences. Destitute means you can't meet 2 or more of your basic needs. Poverty means you can meet them, but barely. The United States tends to provide enough assistance through government and charitable organizations to keep most people out of sheer destitution. But POVERTY is very high and is growing at an exceedingly fast rate. So is actual destitution, by the way.
  18. Troy I actively try not to do it, which is why I'm sensitive to it when i see others do it. Perhaps. But I'm inclined to believe that you've become sensitive to it because you're not used to SEEING it much in this society anymore. When we were growing up and especially before we were born, men would OVERTLY comment on a woman's looks and routinely used words like "sweetie" and "toots" when talking to women and would objectify and sexualize them. It started getting stamped out in the 70s and since then whenever you hear or see a man doing it on television or professional society you're taken aback because it's so UNusual to see it in public today because of the potential repercussions. .....hearing a man say this is like hearing a Caucasian man call you a "negro" in the course of a conversation. You didn't expect that he'd still say that because it hasn't happened for so long, lo. I noticed you did this with Candice Owens too, as if her a relative attractiveness should have some bearing on her intelligence. For me the converse is true; intelligence has a great deal of bearing on one attractiveness. I'm not sure if I understand you, can you explain a little more? I consider her sexually attractive PRIMARILY because of her looks and the feminine way she cares herself. Not because of her political ideology which is rabidly poisonous and treasonous. Her high intelligence and articulation are also attractive but it's not the primary reason. But I understand that not everyone can separate one from the other. Further, I would not try to make a determination about the sister's intellect based solely on what she said (or read) in the video. How could one possibly do that? I've followed the sister for quite some time. She's a lawyer as well as an activist. I suggest that you stop considering how attractive one is when hearing what they have to say. I have a very analytical mind. I can separate EACH of a person's qualities and weigh each of them in making a determination how valuable they are to my principles as well as if they are an ally or adversary. I could bang the hell out of Candace Owens' little sell-out ass and the next day dog her out so badly in a televised debate that she'd be ashamed to show her face in public for another 5 years....lol.
  19. Troy Man..... Now you know good and well you posted this thread JUST to rile me up.....lol. He could not keep his d*ck in his pants for 5 minutes? Why should he? He's a professional heterosexual AfroAmerican man who has a successful career and is good at what he does. Why shouldn't he be rewarded with all the sex he wants? Why is he sexually harassing people? I followed the story somewhat. From what I've heard and read I don't believe he actually "harassed" anyone. People just think it's inappropriate because he was in a position of power over those women and they saw it as taking "advantage" of them. I don't look at it that way because I don't see sex as harm or necessarily as exploitation. I've helped women out for sex and/or sexual favors. I see no problem with it. You want me to shovel your snow, paint your house, help mentor your son or help get him out of trouble? You don't have any money, can't cook, but offer me SEX instead? OK In many cases I'd do it for free as a favor but in some cases I won't do it UNLESS you pay be back with a sexual favor. It just depends. Women have been using SEX to get favors from men since the beginning of humanity. Now many of our people would be SHOCKED to hear that...lol. Because of their twisted morals....they see that as "taking advantage" of someone rather than seeing it as a form of trade or bartering. Tavis is not a married man and didn't take a vow of celibacy. I have no problem with him screwing all the women he wants for whatever reasons he chooses or they choose....as long as it's not forced. My question is why in the HELL is PBS.....a network that promotes homosexuality on a regular basis....having "morality clauses" in their contracts and trying to govern a man's sexuality?????
  20. Troy Man when you say it like that you make it sound like an it is unusual for an attractive sista to speak intelligently. It's not the norm. She not just attractive, but STEREOTYPICALLY attractive....like she could be a model. Although most very attractive women are of normal intelligence, it's been my observation (so far) the most of them aren't very articulate or very smart because they haven't had to develop those skills to be successful in life as...say....an UN-attractive woman would have to. They were used to relying on their LOOKS to help them with success in a male-dominated society, so unless they were aiming for a profession that requires a great degree of academic smarts like medicine or law....they didn't develop their abilities like that. More importantly, why do we care what she looks like? You know women tend to largely be judged (by men atleast) by their looks. The first thing we notice about a sister is how good she looks BEFORE we notice how well she speaks, her moral character, or intellect.
  21. Some people don’t want America to exist as it currently does. They don’t recognize what we have here. Unity with them would be counterproductive. And some people don't have any imagination or vision BEYOND the society that Caucasians have constructed for them to live in. For a dog or a cat........ Eating nasty food and sleeping on the floor is MUCH better than having to live outside in the elements and fight other animals to survive. And on the occasion that the "Master" tosses it some scraps or allows it to sleep in the same bed with him.....oh man...they think it's "heaven" and thinks it don't get much better than that, lol. Why? Because (like that cable bill commercial that shows the hamster chewing on money....lol) they're ANIMALS and their intelligence is limited and their vision is limited so they don't have enough sense to imagine anything better than what they already are getting from their master. A lot of our people are the same way. They think THIS society we currently have is as good as it gets.....lol. The idea that WE (as AfroAmericans) could actually build something bigger and better that would put this current world to shame is beyond their scope of imagination. Most AfroAmericans hadn't IMAGINED a kingdom or even a city bigger than New York until the movie "Black Panther" came out.....which shows you how limited many of their minds were. Like that old House Negro When another slave comes to him and says "Come on man, let's go and leave this place........." He stands there looking at him crazy and says: "Go? Go where? Nicca you must be crazy! You don't not recognize how good we GOT IT HERE! Ain't nothing better than this here! You can go if YOU wanna go.....but I love it here!!"
  22. FAS Maybe like Daniel says I use too many words to make a simple point. My point is............. I predict that Trump's current moves are setting the stage for something that will become much bigger and better (for us) than he or the other White Supremacists anticipate so I prefer HIM to remain in office for however long he's got. (I just can't bring myself to actually vote for him) Those racists militias and their "attempt" to execute Black people outright (as opposed to the covert operations they've been engaging in against our people for decades) is PRECISELY one of the things that will lead to OUR victory as AfroAmericans....if you only knew. Trump is bringing everything out in the open. All of the hatred. All of the corruption. All of the wicked genocidal plans. He's exposing it all.....and our people are WAKING UP as a result. But you prefer Biden/Harris. Who will just calm things down, so that everyone can hold hands again. KEEP those racist militias on "stand by" for just a little bit longer, while the more refined racists put more of our people BACK to sleep. Gives White Supremacy more opportunity and time to inflict shame, suffering, and death on more of our people for I don't know how long. No. GET IT OVER WITH. I don't have a "death wish" as you put it.....LOL. I have a VICTORY WISH. However, even IF I was wrong about our predicted victory (and I don't believe I am).... And even IF the racist militias were successful (and I don't believe they will be)..... I don't know about you but I believe in an Afterlife, so wouldn't a quick fast death over in a matter of weeks be much better than a slow torturous one by another 400 years of disease, police brutality, and defacto slavery through more mass incarceration? Again, Trump and his OVERT calls to White Supremacists to war.....is still prefered.
  23. This beautiful (and surprisingly intelligent) sister explains why you should NOT vote in this current system and give it credibility..............
