Rather than saying a lot of "women" thought Prince was very attractive, it would be more appropriate and specific to say a lot of "AFROAMERICAN women" thought Prince was sexy and very attractive! What do I mean? I'm almost certain that most women around the world, including most African and Caribbean women WOULD NOT find a feminine damn-near woman looking man "attractive" and sexy. They would think you were joking if you even showed them his picture and asked them. Hell, even most White women in the U.S. probably wouldn't. But because Prince was light skinned and kept his hair straight most of the time..... And because a lot of AfroAmerican women have been conditioned to subconsciously see White women as the epitome of beauty AS WELL as find light skinned men with straight hair attractive......then THEY find Prince attractive and sexy. Although I love and respect my sistaz......let's remember that AfroAmerican women aren't the ONLY women on this planet so what THEY find attractive doesn't always line up with what MOST women find attractive. Generations of conditioning have twisted the priorities of a lot of our sistaz to the point that what most women traditionally find attractive in a man.....muscles, deep voice, strength, etc....has been replaced by light skinned, straight hair, hazel eyes, and high pitched voice (Prince). Which explains why many prefer a PRETTY man over a MASCULINE man....a pathology.

The Office only had one woman of color on that show and that was the Indian girl Mindy Kaling. She was the "stand-in Black girl". Back in the old days they used to get that ONE token Black person on a virtually all White show to fill the spot so there weren't too many complaints. Since the 80s, they've been replacing the token Black person with token Asians, Latinos, and Indians.....most of whom don't mind BEING tokens. They don't mind being used, as long as they get a chance to snuggle up next to Caucasians.

ProfD I'm going to say something that you may think sounds silly at worse, and simply non-productive at best. It may make some of the most PRO-Black people's blood boil..... I don't call Kamala Harris "Black". Racially speaking, she's mixed. However I DO consider her and AfroAmerican ethnicly. And as long as she doesn't do anything in that office HARMFUL to AfroAmericans.....she's fine. ....as far as I'm concerned. I would LIKE AfroAmericans in positions of power to use those positions to help our people. But as long as they aren't HARMING our people, in my mind......just HOLDING an office is a victory in and of itself.

Typical right-wing Conservative trick. Take a Liberal or Progressive principle and ADD to it and convolute it to the point that it's reputation is ruined. Turn the public against it....that's the tactic. See.... No one would be against the original meaning of the term "woke" or "wake up". It simply means open your eyes to what's going on.. Who would be against that? Woke was a term that came from AfroAmericans which meant conscious....aware of the racism that exists in this society both explicit and institutionalized. Racist operatives who POSED as Liberals took the word, co-opted it...and started using it for every ridiculous cause they could dream up in order for their racist Conservative allies operating on the other side to justify smearing the image of the term. Just like they took Welfare and turned it into a "government hand out" insult. Or took Universal Healthcare and turned it into "Socialized Medicine". Brother Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X ) warned us about how slick these devils were and how they could use their media to make wrong seem right and right seem wrong. Make up seem down and down seem like up. Now they're figured out a slick way to put the masses BACK to sleep by making them cringe at the term "woke".

Troy When you factor in mass incarceration, the very high homicide and very high suicide rate in the United States compared to 1923 and especially 1823.....you have to wonder HOW MUCH progress has really been made in terms of poverty, famine, and disease. They claim the poverty rate was higher 100 and 200 years ago, huh? Well how about the HOMELESS rate? How many HOMELESS people are around today....even when the increase in population is factored in....as compared to 100 and 200 years ago? Infact, how many homeless people even EXISTED in America in 1823??? Certainly less people are DYING of diseases today than in 1823....but how many people are GETTING diseases today compared to that time? A far higher percentage of people have gotten cancer in the 1990s than in 1823. A far higher percentage of people have gotten AIDS and other stds than in 1823. Far more people are depressed, bi-polar, and schizophrenic than in 1823. So really.....has THAT much progress been made?

We BEEN known this fool was a problem, but the White folks support and protect him to push their agenda. I too am curious about what the women think, however I wouldn't be surprised if most women supported him. Not just because women tend to be more tolerant; but a lot of women in this society have been conditioned to prefer dealing with a FEMINIZED Black man over a MASCULINE one. Not all, but many. You see it at work, on the street, on television, etc....

This is where CREATIVITY comes into play. AfroAmericans are some of the most Creative people on the planet, when we don't limit ourselves. What Black mayors and politicians period need to do is study the problems and use their CREATIVITY to come up with viable solutions for them instead of following the script handed to them by their Caucasian counterparts. Most White politicians know the solutions to most social problems, they PURPOSELY play dumb and ignorant because they don't really want to solve them. They maintain their system by keeping people of color in a state of constant chaos and confusion.

I wish Detroit would elect another Black mayor and send that White outsider BACK outside to the suburbs where he belongs. Chicago, like a lot of large northern cities....is suffering from Black BRAIN-DRAIN. A lot of the smartest and most educated Black youth are leaving the city and heading down South to places like Atlanta, Charlotte, and Houston.....and out West to a lesser extent to places like Las Vegas and Phoenix. Black youth need to see a vibrant future for themselves in cities like Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and Milwaukee.

And ofcourse he WASN'T cuffed....and DIDN'T spend a week or even a damn NIGH behind bars. They didn't even put HANDCUFFS on the man for ceremonial purposes. Didn't even PRETEND to treat him like the average person. In the old days, they used to atleast PRETEND to treat these elites and big shots like the average citizen. Put a pair of cuffs on a person just for a photo-op.....show him with his hands raised in a suit. When the press leaves, they take them off of him. Now, they don't even do THAT. "Look at all of this love! The police love me! Hey! I keep tellin' you.....I can shoot a guy on 5th Avenue and won't spend a night in jail. What does it take for you guys to believe me....lol"

Now it's reported that the man had seats to some sort of MMA fight....LOL UFC fighter absolutely bashes Joe Biden, praises Donald Trump (msn.com) Hit with 34 felony counts....but doesn't spend a NIGHT in jail. Doesn't even get house arrest. Hit with 34 felony counts....but he can go around giving inflammatory speeches and attending entertainment events enjoying celebrity status. This entire thing is a JOKE.....Trump is obviously being built up to be the next President and the "powers that be" he's always railing about are the very ones BUILDING HIM.

They simply aren't intelligent enough to know and understand how certain behaviors effect their community and ultimately them. Which is why White folks, Arab, and other groups constantly take advantage of and exploit them. Most AfroAmerican men simply DON'T CARE.....until it's too late. Are you suggesting the Lord's jealousy stems from "fear" or "inadequacy" as you claim? Hurt and Pain are real that cannot be denied....Jealousy and Resentment are Emotions to be Overcome. If the Lord is perfect, then why would His jealousy need to be "overcome"? I understand it is your opinion, but it is also an idea and ideas are often times more dangerous than we would want to accept. The idea of keeping Black women with Black men is ONLY "dangerous" to those who wish to keep us separated. Such ideas lack only Support Means and Opportunity. Christianity stood the test of time simply because people could just CALL themselves a "Christian" despite not really believing. The AfroAmerican community is being attacked physically, psychologically, economically, and academically. Protecting our women and children should be among the top priorities. Does that mean we should take the money and resources meant for housing, education, food, and raising our children....and divert it to helping Crack heads and give them better coping skills in life? Or rather HOW MUCH of the money and resources should go to them? Yes those are most in need and pose the greatest threat to our community.....Malcolm X was once one of them Correct, Malcolm X was ONE of them....one in a MILLION. There are MILLIONS of them who end up UN-REFORMED and dying in the miserable degraded condition they lived their lives in. Again, using one or two exceptions DO NOT justify or make a point. I hope you aren't trying to make a case for us wasting time and energy that SHOULD be going to building and progressing our community on reforming and helping those who CHOSE to destroy their lives and could care less whether they live or die....or YOU live or die if you have some money in your pocket. So according to reports, Trump is supposed to be "arrested" and arraigned Tuesday. My question is, if he's planning on making some sort of speech Tuesday night he either: 1. Doesn't truly believe he'll be arrested or 2. Believes he'll be arrested but for some reason immediately released; which means his arrest was just a formality. I wonder is this the typical treatment of the "average" citizen who is formally charged with the same counts he's been charged with?

I'm not sure how strong the desire is at this point among our people to even build such a community. I want it, but i don't know too many others who share that same dream. Even most of the religions people, who sing and pray about how they can't wait until a "New Heaven and New Earth" is established....seem to REALLY be content with the world the way it is now.

However as a community we need to focus most of our energy and attention on building our community up and helping the decent righteous among our people FIRST and if we have any energy left....we can use it to help those who chose to destroy their bodies and minds through foolish decision making like smoking dope and gang banging. Last time I checked, both crack-smoking and gang banging were CHOICES people made. No one was forced into it for the most part. If you want to spend most of your time and energy trying to reform them, go right ahead...I won't stop you. But that's NOT how I choose to use mine. We should focus on helping all... I disagree. I WILL NOT waste my time, energy, or resources trying to "help" my racist open enemies, pedophiles, serial killers, and other detriments to our society. Another discussion is the fact that there is a difference between UGLY and UNATTRACTIVE. There are plenty of women I've seen that I considered ugly, but I was highly attracted to them. I work with a woman right now who....when I see her she reminds me of J.J. Evans with a purple wig on...lol. But when you look at her actual body and after about 15 seconds of conversation with her.....you start seeing how you could "tap" that if the opportunity presented itself, lol. And SHE has plenty of kids by different baby daddies....lol.
