  1. Thoughts do exist just follow the pebbles. The apple of one's eye weighs heavily on the sun. 2 riddles or "koans" to be deciphered.......hmmm...................
  2. What's next? Are they going to issue a warning for Black folks to stay out of the United States all together? I can't believe this punkafied GARBAGE. See THIS is one of the reasons (just one of many) why so many people from other nations have such little respect for Black Americans when they come here. Instead of telling Black folks to GO to Missouri in mass numbers and FIGHT and DEMAND respect and justice, they're telling Black folks to run and hide. Be scared. Be afraid. Duck and dodge and avoid any confrontation at all costs!!!!! On top of that...... Did whoever came up with this memo even stop to consider the hundreds of thousands of Black people who ALREADY LIVE in Missouri in cities like St.Louis and Kansas City? What are THEY supposed to do? Pack up and leave? Hunker down, stop driving, and be quiet? What about South Carolina where there were 2 high profile racist killings of Black people? Are they gonna send out a memo on that state next? This is an absolute shame and embarassment that so many goddam punks have positions of leadership. Sorry ladies, I don't mean to sound sexist but this is what 40 years of the Black family being raised primarily by single mothers have done to the Black American community. Many of our men no longer think like men, but like women....abused and victimized women at that.
  3. Frederick Douglass said he prayed for 20 years but got no answer until he prayed with his feet! I strongly believe in prayer, but I also strongly believe in taking action. Actually, I practice both on a daily basis. Cynique Would it be inappropriate to ask, what exactly were you WEARING when you were doing all this crawling around, rattling doors, and climbing through windows?
  4. Total eclipses like this are supposed to herald major changes on this planet and among humanity.
  5. I don't want to say Kaepernick put himself in the hole for nothing, he obviously stood up on his principles and took a stand for what he believed in, however......... What exactly was his point? What did he hope to accomplish by refusing to stand and pledge allegiance? Now hold on (Cynique) I'm not saying the man SHOULD have pledged allegiance. It's his right and I respect it.....infact I don't even remember the last time I stood or said the pledge of allegiance. But I'm the type of person who makes GOALS and has a VISION of the desired outcome of most things before I start them. I don't just get in my car to ride around town wasting gas. I have a DESTINATION I'm trying to get to and you better believe there is something I'm trying to do when I get there. I may or may NOT always accomplish what I want to do, but you can best believe I certainly know WHAT I want to do! What was Kaepernick's plan or purpose in refusing to stand....... What he hoping other players would follow suit and take a knee with him? Was he hoping those in the audience and across America would? Was he hoping that police brutality would stop? If he goal was JUST to bring attention to the problem of police brutality or American injustice....then WHO was he trying to get that attention from? Hell, White people in America already KNOW about the injustices they commit, so was he trying to alert other AfroAmericans? I've said since Kaepernick started his protest that his goals need to be clearly laid out, else much of what he did was done in vain or even worse done at a cost to his career. How terrible it is for a man to put his life or career on the line for people and end up losing everything only for the people he actually fought for to turn around and unassumingly say: "Ain't nobody asked him to do that"
  6. Cynique Who says that music videos can't be political and provocative ??? It can. Infact, race and sex are often intertwined anyway. However, if the video IS political.....exactly what type of message is it trying to send? Troy Sure Pioneer the video sends all kinds of crazy messages. I completely understand why the Hotep crowd, the religious right, and prudes would be taken aback. This is Viola Davis time cover taken to another whole 'nother level. But Maybe it is just a fun video and ain't all that serious... How would you make the video differently? Would you have Minaj wear a burka? No. I have no problem with her sexuality. She could get butt naked in the video and I'd love it....I watch porn from time to time myself, lol. And even ENGAGE in it occasionally.....lol. My questions were simply why does she have WOMEN looking at her in a seductive way and why are Black men being attacked and beaten up by non-Black police officers for no apparent reason. Both This is one of the problems I have with a lot of these AfroAmerican artists and entertainers who try to make political statements. You can't figure out what the hell they're trying to say. Even with Colin Kaepernick, or Beyonce.....you get the feeling that they're trying to "stand up" for something or "speak out" on something but they are so confusing and vague and symbolic you can't figure out what they're trying to say or what they're trying to accomplish. Like Beyonce and Bruno Mars' performance at the Superbowl the other year. It was supposed to be some sort of statement about police brutality, but it didn't actually tell the public what they should do about it. I'm not the biggest fan of Kanye West but one thing I LOVE about the brother is he tends to speak his mind regardless as to how crazy he sounds.....instead of speaking in garbled and coded language. He came right out on live television and said George Bush doesn't care about Black people.....straight up. There was no confusion or vagueness about what he was saying and everyone could understand it and most agreed with it. But this video......what the HELL was the point in showing a bunch of Black men holding eachother back while slobbering over Nicki and then later on getting beat up and arrested by cops? What???? I admit, I'm not the smartest man in the world so help a brother out. What was the PURPOSE of that scene....somebody tell me.
  7. Del I was just messing with you bro, I have very little PRACTICAL knowledge (meaning experience) of either Wall Street or Real Estate. Although I do have a few friends who dabble in real estate and are quite successful and give me advice from time to time.
  8. Linda Ummmm folks betta leave Cyn alone LOL Maybe we should leave her alone and start on YOU....lol. Welcome back by the way. Did your surgery go well?
  9. Del How many years did you work on Wall Street or in Real Estate. If I told you, you probably wouldn't believe me. So I might as well not even bother telling you. My first full time job was being the profit and loss accountant for a $2 billion portfolio at Drexel Burnham Lambert on Wall Street. LOL....is the fact that you had to run off to Australia, "lay low", and get into astrology indicative of what you were doing there? @Pioneer1 can you go into more detail how Wall Street works from your perspective? Look at who Wall Street gave us.....Donald Trump. That should tell you all you need to know. Lol. Cynique in answer to your second silly question, a question indicative of how your mind seems incapable of processing no matter how many times i explain it to you, Reggie Lewis is an exception to the rule, a perfect example of a black man who succeeded in spite of the odds being stacked against black people because he was an extraordinary individual with a brilliant mind. Has the gist of this answer registered with you yet or do i have to look forward to another silly example of your need to bring me down to your groveling level of loving this wunnerful country. i don't give a damn whether you love amerikka or not so why are you so determined to convert me into giving a damn about this bull shit bigoted country whose idiotic president exemplifies half the population but who, nevertheless, is obliquely approved of by you on a regular basis. SMH You're a moderator now.....you're moving up in the world baby! You're in upper management so you need to use more restraint in your emotions and be easy on the abusive language, lol.
  10. Troy and Mel Honestly, I have very little evidence to support this belief (or their belief) other than visual inspection and knowledge of geography. I'm not familiar with the scientific details of genetics and to be honest, White people made much of these terms up and they are the ones who REALLY understand it. Many of us are just parrotting what White geneticists are saying or what we read of what they found, and it's the same with archeology. How much research have BLACK SCIENTIST actually done to confirm these genetic and anthropological findings that White science puts out? I personally go with what makes sense me, and claiming White people came from African Black people just doesn't make sense from my limited perspective. But what the NOI teaches DOES. And Mel, I'm not sure if you mentioned it before but did you say you DIDN'T have any White ancestry by way of slavery? I know you said your lineage was East African, but still most Black Americans who are descended from slaves still have some White and Native American ancestry. Are you saying you don't?
  11. Hate to piss on the praise parade but................ This video is a bit disturbing for a number of reasons: 1. If you notice, why do they have so many WOMEN looking at Nicki's body in a sexual manner? Even the hotel maid takes a look at Nicki and looks like she's getting hot as she whips out her hair. 2. Besides Future, why are the ONLY Black men in the video being chased down and beat up by NON-BLACK police officers? (right around the 2 minute mark) What's up with that? What kind of message is that sending, that Black men who look at a good looking woman must be chased down by the police and beat up? Or when you see Black men being beat up by the police you should just walk by looking sexy like Nicki did as if it's a common everyday thing? What's the message? 3. Finally, it's not the biggest deal but...... Nicki is an attractive woman but she doesn't really represent "Black women" or the way most Black women look. So constantly praising women who look like HER or BEYONCE or AMBER ROSE and talking about how beautiful they are really tells darker skinned Black women with more African features how UNattractive they are. But again, what's up with all the women lusting after Nicki and what's up with the brothers being beat down by non-Black police?
  12. Cynique No i'm not insinuating that there was some sort of conspiracy involved in his death. Any other silly questions? Yeah. America made this brother rich. Why do you diss a country that produces rich Black folks? Answer me that....and I'm good, lol. Del and Troy They say that Johnny Cochran was constantly on his cell phone, and HE TOO died of brain cancer. Man Pioneer most people don't have the focus or drive to work with any of those cats. They are on a next level. Most people can't alk for ten minutes on any subject. Although I am pretty sure you could. And I am not being sarcastic or ironic. It's focus, drive, discipline but also a strong dose of intelligence or good old fashioned MOTHER WIT. Reginald Lewis was a lawyer before he got into real estate so he wasn't an idiot to begin with and like Cynique said he was doing impressive things even as a child. Also when it comes to "people" industries like real estate where you really have to sell items or ideas....CHARISMA plays a huge role in your success. I think Reginald....like Oprah....had a lot of this. Unlike the stock market where you can be successful by studying trends and patterns, in sales and marketing you have to know how to make people trust and like you enough to buy from you. Hell, even if you're a stock broker you have to do have this ability until you reach a certain amount of success. Some people just can't do this despite their high level of intelligence. They don't have the charisma or likeability to gain the trust of people. When I go to the local universities in my region and look at many of the young people, they may be very smart with numbers and facts and can regurgitate a lot of information....but when it comes to "reading" people and basic human psychology that some people learn in the 6th grade...they're complete failures.
  13. Del Naw the P is on some next level type shit. He is in a class by himself "The P"......I like that....lol. Troy Actually I think he would admit that he is. Sure "The P" would admit it....if you paid him to, lol.
  14. Troy The origin and migration patterns of humans that you are attributing to the NOI run counter to the to the commonly accepted understanding that humanity (including Black people) originated in and migrated from Africa But the commonly ACCEPTED understanding of the origins of humanity run counter to COMMON SENSE, lol. 1. The theory that Europeans came out of the Asian/Indian Blacks makes more sense when you look at the ENTIRE phenotype of Europeans including there hair structure and facial structure. There are far too many physical diffrences between most UNMIXED African Blacks and most UNMIXED White Europeans to believe that Whites came from them. 2. Africa is less densely populated than either Europe or Asia. Does it makes sense that the continent with the oldest human civilizations to be less dense? Africa should be saturated with old cities, settlements, and ruins from coast to coast.
  15. Troy Is there any proof that thoughts can exist beyond our physical being or outside a suitably powerful computer? Wouldn't wireless internet and television signals be an example of this? Ofcourse they are generated by computers (or stations) but from the time they leave the transmitting agent to the time they are picked up on the other end by the receiving agent they would have to "exist" somewhere intact in space. Mel This would appear to be redundancy - sort of like mixing flour and water together and then adding another mixture of flour and water to the original batter. Although this does happen, for example my ex-hubby is european (French-German mix ) ...Together we have a set of twin girls. Although they may display his phenotype - they carry the mtDNA of the first woman of our lineage from East Africa 80,000 - 104,000 years ago. From what I've read, so far using rCRS and RSRS (revised Cambridge Reference Sequence & Reconstructed Sapiens Reference Sequence ) to determine ancestry - the difference between someone from East Africa and someone from Europe is where there's a mutation point (s). Not really........ I'm not educated on genetics enough to follow you with the scientific names and details of specific genes but I can say the "Black" people that Europeans came from were NOT African Blacks...be they South, West, OR East Africans. I know some archeologists call East Africans like Somalis and Ethiopians "Caucasian" because of the shape of their skulls and some aspects of their genes but this is a fallacy because it's based on the assumption that Europeans came up out of Africa THROUGH the East Africans. I believe East Africans are closer to Europeans than West Africans for 2 major reasons: 1. There was a much larger and older influx of Caucasian (not necessarily European but Arab, Semitic, Persian) blood in the East African population as various Caucasian tribes invaded or settled into the area as they entered Africa through Egypt. 2. If the NOI theory is correct, East Africans (even those without Caucasian ancestry) are still closer to Europeans for the simple fact that they represent the Blacks who are closest to their Black family in Asia (the Blacks who Europeans actually came from) as they had just arrived in Africa before they went Westward and South. But again, the Black people that I believe Europeans came out of are ASIAN Blacks like the type we find in India....like the Dravidians. So a more appropriate analogy would be more like mixing flour and water together and then adding graham crackers (a product of wheat that is related but not exactly the same as the flour) crumbs to the batter.....lol. Meaning, if you DID have genetic memory of Rome from ancestors who were there....there's not much of a chance of it coming from your East African ancestors because THEY aren't the ones who went to Europe. It would have to have come from your White American ancestors whose line went back through their respective European countries back to the Roman Empire. For those who can't follow what I'm saying about Asian and African Blacks I'll illustrate it with these pictures: Asian Black man from India. African Black man from Ethiopia African Black man from Ghana The first man is a DRAVIDIAN man or Asian Black man from India whom the NOI teaches were the first people of this planet. It is also the people whom they teach White people came from. The second man is an ETHIOPIAN man representing East Africa. Again, the area of Africa that I believe Asian Blacks migrated down through before migrating to other parts of Africa. The third picture is of a GHANAIAN man from West Africa....from whom most AfroAmericans are descended. You can see that despite similar complexions, there phenotypes are clearly different but you can see a gradual change in our physical features as we traveled out of Asia into Africa from Eastern Africa to Western Africa over time. I did answer but you and I speak a different language ... sort of like what @Troy just referenced when he compared debate vs fight ... I will be mindful of that. But my family calls a debate "fighting" and we literally debate everything... even the content of the cereal lol But I digress. "Hitting on" is physical in my dictionary - it assumes that I'm an object to be obtained. I didn't have that problem and neither did the Asian Flight Attendant I was with, meant Italian men didn't objectify us ... I used her as a measuring stick. If they didn't "hit" on me ...that didn't necessarily mean they weren't brutish - but when I noticed they didn't "hit" on her either, then I assumed they had respect for women. Same as how they are here in the states. Every Italian men I've dealt with or dated was respectful. Well, that is, except Victor in the 4th grade. He called me the N-Word. I guess I have to get into Lawyer Mode, lol. Since we may differ on our understanding of what "being hit on" means, let me re-phrase the question. When you were in Italy....... Do you remember how many times Italian men GAVE YOU SIGNALS (whether in words, behavior, even gestures, ect.....) that they were interested in you sexually? Lol. Because almost every Black woman whose been overthere has told me that the men are aggressive in their approach toward Black women.
  16. A lot of people have been saying the same thing about Scaramucci. They're saying he's so charismatic and his personality is so big that he's gonna out shine Trump....something quite threatening to a narcissist. But with all of the NEGATIVE attention Trump is getting, I don't think he'll mind another guy getting a little shine and taking the heat off of him for a while. I personally don't believe the Republicans EVEN WANT to replace Obama Care. Most of them are owned by Big Pharma. And Obamacare is basically a give away to the Health Insurance industry. With the passage of the Affordable Care Act, the government basically FORCED 22 million people to do business with Big Pharma and even guaranteed that the premiums they pay will be subsidized by the government when their customers can't afford to pay them! How could big business and those who represent them REALLY be against that? Imagine if the government made a law that forced everyone to buy cars and even promised to subsidize their car notes? Do you think automakers would be against that?
  17. I have never once needed to touch a single thing Cynique has ever posted. Obama never had to "touch" Bin Laden. But I digress.....lol.
  18. Troy and Del I found both of your encounters (or proxy encounters) with our brother Reginald interesting if not slightly fascinating. When I read his book I wished we had Black men like that in every major city, it would have been very inspirational. Sure Troy, most Black people would never become a Reggie Lewis. Hell, most White people would never be. That man had the brains, the charisma, and happened to be born in the right place at the right time to do what he did. But what he could have done is TEACH what he did know so that those few who DO have his talents and abilities can learn and not only do what he did but build upon his work and exceed it......and so on and so forth one generation after the next. Cynique Yes I knew of his untimely death. I declined to mention it but I figured it would come up eventually if the conservation about him continued. Ofcourse dying of such an illness is a bad thing in and of itself, but for a Black person that was so young with so much wealth and potential to succumb to it makes it even worse. When you speak of the irony of his death and his smarts, are you insinuating some sort of conspiracy?
  19. Cynique Whenever i see Vice president Pence, a staunch bible-thumper, i just want to bring him down The problem with removing Pence is the same problem with removing Trump. Republicans have set things up in such a way that if you remove ONE you end up with another MUCH WORSE....lol. If Trump gets impeached and removed....PENCE takes over. But if for some reason PENCE get's impeached and removed.....PAUL RYAN takes over! Mel A few points........... -Ofcourse you're right that most AfroAmericans have ancestry from West Africa, but whether one's ancestors are from West, East, or South Africa originally.....the vast majority of us STILL have large amounts of European and Native American ancestry mixed in as well. Which means that that European ancestry theory of genetic memory is still valid. -I hear what you're saying about the West Africans being the original or first people. Perhaps Western science makes this claim and people are going with it, but I don't believe it. Although I'm not 100% sure of it, the Nation of Islam's theory that Blacks actually originated in ASIA and MIGRATED into Africa seems to make more sense to me personally than all of the so-called "evidence" White scientist produce to say otherwise. I know as an educated woman you probably think that's silly, but my intution is telling me that this theory of the NOI is probably closer to the truth than what Western archeologists are telling us. For one, thing when you listen to the stories of African "tribes" (for lack of a better term) that migrated, the vast majority of them claim to have come from the North and East of Africa GOING South and GOING West. And when you look at East Africans like Somalis and Ethiopians and Nubians they look more like Indians or "Asians" and the further South and West you go in Africa the kinkier the hair gets and the more Congoid the features get. I say all of that to say that I believe the West Africans CAME FROM the East Africans, rather than the other way around. - Finally, another theory that comes from the Nation of Islam that I also agree with is that Caucasians came from Black people. However, they didn't come from AFRICANS. The Nation of Islam teaches that White people came from Black people of Asia. Again, though I'm not a scientist and not too educated THIS THEORY still makes more sense to me than what White archeologists and anthropologists claim with the "out of Africa" theory because the difference between Caucasians and Africans are more than just skin color but hair texture and facial features. But when you look at the Blacks of INDIA...the Dravidians.....they basically look like dark skinned Caucasians. So much so that they are even CLASSIFIED as Caucasians racially. But the fact is, I believe....like the Nation of Islam....that it's the other way around. I believe that White people actually came from THEM. So in a nutshell....... I believe that BOTH Black Africans AND White Caucasians are the offspring of Black Asiatic people like the Dravidians of India. Is this belief backed by Western science? No. But I trust my instinct and observations sparked by the teachings of the Nation of Islam more than I trust Western scientists and their constantly changing "facts" on the origins of humanity. You shouldn't be too suprised at your experience with the woman in Peru. Like I said before, most of us have Native American ancestry and it often shows in our phenotype as well as genetic memory. By the way.... I didn't ask you if you had a problem with the men in Italy, I asked did you get hit on by them. I know you said your Asian friend didn't get hit on EITHER....but still, the question wasn't actually answered.....lol. You know most of the White Argentinians are actually of Italian descent right? Italians and Germans were brought into Argentina in mass numbers to "Whiten" the population, lol.
  20. I think Scaramucchi is an interesting character....lol. He has that eastcoast Italian "mafia boss" persona that many Americans respect and some even love. Knowing that most mobsters have nicknames, even calling himself "the mooch" plays into this stereotypical image. It's a shame that so many Italians who themselves weren't very welcomed in this nation for so long and in many circles aren't even considered WHITE....frequently throw their lots in with racist Republicans and Conservatives. Most Italians have a working class unionized history in this nation, but their desire to be bonified "White people" and be well accepted by the W.A.S.P.s forces too many of them to make fools of themselves and overcompensate by doing things like supporting the Republican party and being overtly racist towards Black people.
  21. Troy Know what? Perhaps you should have kept Cynique on as a GUEST poster.....lol....that way you can first carefully examine and then DECIDE whether or not some of that silliness she writes should be viewed by the public. Remember, George W. Bush said: I'm the "decider"...lol.
  22. Troy Yeah, I noticed it too. I was wondering if I went to the wrong site for a second. It reminded me of one of those google "cache" settings where everything is a skeleton of what it should be....lol.
  23. Troy We were all destined to work for companies with the same demographics and sensibilities. Some Black men thrive in this environment I was not one of them. Sure i did my job and often enjoyed it, but I always felt like an outsider, as if I did not belong. This could be me projecting my own bias as well, but the reality I grew tired of "Frontin." And this is the very thing I tell a lot of Black students who go to these major universities. Whatever they're going through in college, I told them to magnify it by 10. There's a certain foul spirit or "off" demeanor in corporate environments that turns most Black men off, especially straight and masculine Black men. The business world was designed by White men for White men, Black men tend to have the most success when they venture off and get their own businesses. One of the books I like to read is one by a brother named Reginal Lewis: He talks about the problems of Black men working in corporate America and how he decided to venture off and get his OWN enterprise going. Cynique English is an international language which does not exclusively belong to America. Ofcourse not.. Just like diamonds, gold, oil, or anything else of value....it's popular and in high demand so it gets exported, lol.
  24. Mel You're basically saying the same thing I told Del concerning reincarnation. I told him: "Ever thought of the possibility that you were actually recalling the genetic recordings of your ANCESTORS' LIVES that was encoded in their DNA and passed down to yours but when you recall them you mistake them for your own? " And you're saying the same thing. Concerning your trip to Italy.......... If you're like most Black Americans I'm sure you have Caucasian ancestry and that genetic memory could have been traced back to the Roman Empire and it would explain your knowledge of Rome. Your genes traced back through your European ancestry. BTW.... Did you get hit on by a lot of Italian men? They love Black women overthere and every Black woman I've met who's been over there tell me how big of a fool they act....lol.
  25. That's how "they" get you. The Federal law says one thing and the State or Local law says something else. But if you notice, very few laws are mandatory to be enforced.....meaning each jurisdiction can literally pick and choose WHICH laws they choose to enforce and bust people on and which laws to ignore and let people slide. This is a pretty slick move because it allows the Feds and the State to have contradicting laws but by allowing themselves the option not to enforce them they can stay out of conflict with eachother WHILE arresting whom they choose. So theoretically you can have 5 Black men with weed shops and 5 White men with weed shops all operating in states where selling weed is legal. But if the feds decides to bust the Black businesses and ignore the White ones, they are pretty much within their legal right to do so because selling weed is still a federal crime. See my point? There are many many laws like this that contradict the state, federal, and local penal codes and I believe they are designed on purpose for this very reason. But it goes back to what I was saying about Black people who are in charge and have to opportunity to change things but refuse to take advantage of that opportunity. I doubt most Black people even think along those terms that I just laid out about the contradicting laws being designed to trap them.
