"Gambino’s lyrics state, ‘this is a celly, that’s a tool.’" I think you're right that my age and experience could be playing a role as to why I'm not receiving the video in the same way perhaps the younger generation is. Many of them see it as some profound work of genius. But more so than being jaded with the issue Gambino is trying to portray, as I alluded to earlier I actually think he's being COUNTER PRODUCTIVE by drowning so many real issues that should be confronted and discussed directly with all of this symbolism and disassociative dancing. One of the reasons Trump was so successful with the base was because he spoke to them PLAINLY and DIRECTLY. He didn't speak in metaphors and symbols and didn't get on stage dancing around in circles doing the Irish River Dance...... as a way of expressing their frustrations. Trump said THIS IS THE PROBLEM AND THIS IS THE SOLUTION.....simple, straight forward, and his base got the message. For a 30 something year old man (Gambino) to make some silly ass video of him dancing around while violence and mayhem is going down in the background; and where nearly all the victims AND villians of the video are Black and calling it "America" is not only pointless but makes Black people look like a bunch of irrational fools in the eyes of many people.

As I've said before, I don't believe the original Israelites (if they even existed) were Black. I believe that they symbolized the White or Caucasian race. Most of those people overthere don't know their OWN true history. They just end up arguing with eachother over myths. Who's the "seed" of who and who's from the "line" of who.....arguing over mythological characters they read in some religious book who never existed in the first place. As far as the Arabs living in the Middle East not having the same mentality as the ones here in America.....I don't know. I haven't been to the Middle East so I can't argue you on that. But many Lebanese and Palestinians have gone to many African, Carribean, and South American nations and have set up businesses in this nations among the Black and Brown indigenous peoples and have exploited them. The Arab men typically marry and have sex with the indigenous women but forbid THEIR women from marrying and having sex with the indigenous men. It was brought to my attention a couple days ago that the Lebanese have been in the African nation of Liberia for decades owning businesses, exploiting the native population, and marrying the women forming caste systems. Remember that ARABS....like JEWS.....aren't a race but an ETHNIC GROUP. The Arabs for the most part are the offspring of the Caucasian men who came down out of the mountains and mixed it up with the Black women of the civilizations they conquered in that region. Although most Arabs are mixed, many of them are Black and many of them are White and are just as racist and oppressive as a racist European. Even many of the Black and dark ones have the same anti-Black and anti-African mentality as White Arabs.....take a look at how the dark Arabs of Sudan treat other non-Arab Africans. And ofcourse the Black and African Jews of Israel are on the lowest rung of the ladder and face all types of oppression and discrimination from the White Jews of Israel. Many Black Israelis aren't even recognized as being Jewish. My point of that picture wasn't to say that Abbas and Netanyahu were identical twins and bosom buddies.......but to say that they were of the same race with the same mindset. They may PRETEND not to like eachother or oppose eachother but at the end of the day they are on the same team and feel the same way about Black people....including the Black and dark skinned among the Palestinians.

THIS IS AMERICA So many people are going crazy over this video and talking about how "deep" it is and all of the hidden and symbolic messages it contains. I admit I'm not too smart, so I'm not ashamed to say I just don't see the significance of it. Outside of his portrayal of America as a violent place.....what exactly are the messages Danny is trying to convey? Too me, this video is borderline DISGRACEFUL and an EMBARASSMENT to Black America for a number of reasons: 1. The only person I noticed committing acts of violence in the video are BLACK.....namely Danny (Childish Gambino) himself! 2. There is too much pointless dancing and swaying for any message he's trying to send to be taken seriously. 3. Why did he portray the Church massacre that was done by a young racist White man with a hand gun.....as being done by a Black man with an assault rifle? That was ass backwards in my opinion. 4. He did a couple of slick "Michael Jackson" type dance moves towards the end of the video but for the most part it was just him and a few others squirming around and making funny faces as if they were having convulsions.....no style or rhythm. But obviously this is just MY opinion, perhaps more enlightened minds can explain to me what I'm missing about this work.

In this case when I say "we" I'm talking about Black people globally. Now Arabs............ Do you realize that many if not most Arabs ARE Caucasian as well? One of the first places White people went when they came down out of the Caucasus mountains was Arabia to attack the Black civilizations that existed there. Many if not most Arabs have the same anti-Black mentality that White Europeans have and are less refined with it. Arabs routinely refer to Black people as "abeed" or "slave". And this is why I say Black people shouldn't involve themselves in the Arab-Jew conflict. Both Ethiopia and Somalia are predominately Musim African nations....but how much help do they get from the rest of the Muslim world? Or does most of their economic aid come from the West? The "hegemony" you're talking about that exists between the Europeans and the Jews also includes many of the Arabs and "Arab type" people like Iranians. They'll shout and argue with eachother on televsion and claim not to like eachother but with the exception of Saudi Arabia if you go to their countries you'll see the White Aras and White Persians ruling and running the nation while the darker citizens of the nation are usually poor and powerless. Look at the Palestinians being oppressed and killed: And look at the Palestinians and Israelis who are in power: Both of them are clearly of the SAME RACE despite their claimed religion or claimed nationality My point is Caucasians around the world despite religion or region are together.

K2 Moreover, the resolution you propose: "you help poor people by providing them with descent paying jobs as well as making housing, education, and other basic necessities affordable for them," is the one thing that'll never happen. Unless we make it happen. It's about TIME you started saying something I agreed with....lol. I've been saying for years and years now that the only time things will change for Black people in the ghettos of America is when OTHER Black people with more knowledge and resources stop being afraid of their own people and go into the 'hood to establish justice. Right now Trump is talking about sending the "feds" into Chicago to curb the violence going on there. Federal authorities are already there....so I'm not sure what "feds" he's talking about other than sending in the National Guard. But all of this talk could have been avoided if BLACK MEN would have organized to stop the foolishness going on there themselves. You have the Nation of Islam, the Hebrew Israelites, the Moors and a score of other Black nationalist organizations in Chicago with more than enough Black men with the skills and physical abilities to go in and establish order in the worst of neighborhoods. What's stopping them? Look at gentrification and how 10 and 15 years ago White kids started moving into the MOST DANGEROUS neighborhoods of New York and Washington D.C. The same neighborhoods wealthy Black folks were afraid to even DRIVE through let alone invest any time or money in improving......small framed White folks with glasses were walking their dogs and jogging in skimpy shorts through with no one so much as giving them a mean look. If I didn't know any better, I'd say White folks got together and decided the only way to calm these negroes down and get them to see how stupid they were and how unqualified they were to govern themselves is to just move out and GIVE THEM the cities to operate.....and then bet money with eachother over how many decades it would take before negroes will be BEGGING White folks to come back and take the cities over again. But I know better than to even entertain a thought like that......

K2 Pioneer1: I unequivocally disagree; not only what Jews, whites, etc., to do each other is of significant importance to trhe world, it is especially important to Black folk, if for nothing than indicators of what to expect. Your signature also, necessarily suggests caring what they do to each other to understand White supremacy. Again, you insist on SEPARATING Jews from other White people as if their religion or ethnicity makes them some sort of racial anomaly. Can you please explain to me IN SPECIFICS what Jews have done to Black people that has been worse than what British, Germans, Russians or any other segment of the White race has done to our people? And perhaps you're right that what they do to eachother matters......but only to the extent that it may FORESHADOW what they plan and want to do to people of color. So perhaps we should study the history of White on White conflict to get a better understand But as far as GETTING INVOLVED with their conflicts......it's silly in my opinion. Picture this.............. A Black man with sandles on and a turban wrapped around his head calling himself a Muslim wants to stand there with his fists balled up ready to fight a Black Christian over what the White Christians did to Black folks in the name of Christianity......but totally ignore what the White Arabs did to Black people in the name of Islam. And neither one of the 2 invented Christianity or Islam. A Black Repubican is on television fighting and foaming at the mouth with a Black Democrat over some lame ass isssue. But neither one of them invented the Republican or Democrat Party Too often when Black people involve themselves in White concernes they become TOO involved and they begin to take their focus away from the real issues.

Homelessness all over the United States has skyrocketed for 2 main reasons: 1. Millions of mentally ill people who WERE institutionalized but were discharged or those who SHOULD be institutionalized but are not and instead must roam the streets looking for a way ot survive, and 2. Millions of people who were thrown out on the streets after most of the housing projects all over America were torn down since the 80s K2 　 Many of the Black upper and middle class opposition to the proximity to public housing and susidized housing was and is actually justified. I saw frst hand how simply re-arranging people and shipping thousands of poor and destitute people to working and upper middle class communities RUINED those communities because of an increase of crime, deterioration of the school district, and an overall deterioration of the physical attractiveness of the neighorhoods. White people aren't the only people with standards and oppose their communities turning into ghettoes.....plenty of Black people feel the same way. But the White media in the United States has a nasty habit of lumping ALL Black people together and ignoring any differences in idealogy or even behavior between them. You don't help poor people by moving them next to rich people. That only breeds envy, contempt, and resentment. You help poor people by providing them with descent paying jobs as well as making housing, education, and other basic necessities AFFORDABLE for them. Lol..... I was introduced to him along with TD Jakes through a conservative Christian channel called TBN that my mother used to watch all the time. The first time I saw him I didn't trust him. Yes the funny jheri curl or s-curl or whatever the hell he had going on along with his "funny style" manner made him suspect...lol. But he just seemed fake and "funny acting" as if he was putting on a big show. It may sound weird, but it's hard for me to trust Black men who seemingly loose all bass in their voices and talk fast and "extra proper". Kind of like the Black conservative pundit Larry Elder if you know who that is.

At least Caucasians and Anglo Saxons offered their BS apologies for their parts in Black slavery; Jews, on the other hand out-right refuse to do the same. Anglo Saxons ARE Caucasians....and so are most Jews (especially the Ashkenazi ones). I hear what you're saying but I think the argument against Jews is a Caucasian in-fighting one that we as AfroAmericans need not get too involved in. Whatever Jews are doing to other Caucasians.....whether they are European Caucasians or Arab Caucasians....shouldn't be too much concern of ours because Caucasians Jews, Caucasian Christians, and Caucasian Arabs have had a major role in enslaving and exploiting Africans for thousands of years. I had an issue or two with Oprah Winfrey, but atleast she was a REAL Black woman who inspired pride and confidence in much of the Black community. But Wendy Williams is just sad. The masculine facial features..... The straight blonde hair..... The fake emotional behavior....... Sad She reminds me of Michael Jackson in looks as well as behavior. But who I really feel sorry for are the young Black girls who look to women like her and Beyonce (sorry Mel) as role models. These are the type of "Black" women being promoted by Hollywood for our young girls to look up to.....causing further psychological damage to an already damaged demographic.

I'll believe it ONLY WHEN I actually see the impeachment proceedings starting. Do any of you think the people who run this governemnt and PUT Trump in office are so stupid that they didn't think of all of this before he even got in? Many people didn't think he would even last his first year, and he's still in going strong and pushing his agenda as well as those who put him in. And look at what he's doing with North Korea and how he's being praised as the world's savior. That's not an accident. I believe he will use North Korea and the "peace" he's claiming to make as his "ace in the hole" if the shit gets too thick. These rich dictators all over the world are sticking together. .

If people were "left alone" as you say....how would they receive serious medical care and like surgeries that most have no knowledge of how to perform? Human beings need eachother.....some more than others...but all do to a certain degree. people can never avoid interaction with others. Half dressed women at sporting events are not meant to validate males, they are there to excite, provoke, and lure males to the box-office and refreshment stands. What about the cheerleaders of MIDDLE SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL games where there usually are no tickets or refreshments to be sold? And why not male cheerleaders who would just as easily excite the female spectators? Once again, you only got it HALF right. 　 NO, NO, NO, most men are happy spending long periods of time with women because they want just one, to sleep with. No no no...to WHAT? We not talking about privileged people, or people living the 'apartment' life with hope, knowing that soon one-day they'll have enough saved-up to put a hefty down-payment on a house. No, we'll talking about families living on-top of each-other with barely enough to eat, little and no hope for tomorrow. People who must watch their White neighbors living fine lives while they can only wish for such. I don't know what stand out point the "we" you refered to was making....but YOU were making several points. One of which was about the unnatural density of people living together inside a space less than half the size of a mall. And I addressed THAT particular point with a point of my own.....pointing out the fact that populationd density and overcrowding isn't the biggest problem because there are examples of people living together in relative harmony with far more population density. A Black person is the colloquial name for a member of the African race A Jew has 2 definitions: 1. A member of the Jewish ethnic group or 2. A member of the religion of Judaism So no...anyone can't simply CALL themselves a Jew and still be one if they don't fit the criteria of the above definitions.

@ Pioneer, @Troy: Public housing does protect poor people from natural elements, true; but what about the unnatural elements? 500-1000 poor families living a space half the size of a mall; and less than 200 feet away another 500-1000 poor families and more; all within the space of several city blocks. Certainly overcrowding can be uncomfortable and lead to hygenic issues; but I don't think overcrowding was the problem that lead to the deteriorating living conditions of most housing projects in the United States. Look at Japan and China and how densely populated MOST of the communities are overthere. They probably live together at 10 times the population density of the Robert Taylor or Red Hook.....but had far less crime and violence. Hell, you can look at the population densities of the neighboring wealthy communities of the Upper West side of Manhattan or the Gold Coast of Chicago with a denser population than in the projects......but the living conditions are still much better. It's not the population density that's the problem, it's: 1. The mentality of the people and how they're taught to live in society 2. The maintanence of the buildings and property. 3. Security and police presence in the community All of this is involved in how well people in a given community can live together. In Detroit in the 70s when all of the projects were still up the crime and poverty was concentrated but contained. When they began the Section 8 program of moving people out of the projects into the working class neighborhoods around the city......they didn't solve the problem but SCATTERED it all over the city. So the neighborhood full of detached bungalo houses became just as crime infested and run down as the highrise projects, but with only a quarter of the population density.

Well I haven't seen the movie yet but I've heard him speak on why he left or was kicked out. Besides what you mentioned about him no longer believing hell exists, I've also heard that he stopped condemning homosexuality. Perhaps Carlton himself may be homosexual and this has influenced his decision. I always thought Carlton was kind of "sweet" anyway.....lol. Although I don't agree with much of the religious dogmatism of the Church and don't think it's very healthy for society I'm leaning more with the Church than I am with Mr Pearson on this one. Why? Because despite it's condemnation of people and discrimination of homosexuals....the church is an INSTITUTION. And how fair it is to go into an institution trying to change the institution and it's policies because you don't agree with them? If you don't agree with what's happening in the institution then either DON'T GO into it in the first place.....or if you later change your mind....LEAVE that institution. The beliefs about homosexuality and hell have been established in Christianity for hundreds of years and if you're going to be a member and promote Christianity.....then you should promote the beliefs as they ARE...not how you like them to be. It's like these different gay and lesbian groups insisting that their church perform same-sex marriages and accept them for who they are. Ofcourse they should be accepted for who they are and they shouldn't be condemned to hell forever. But my question is why insist on staying in an institution that hates you and condemns you in the first place? Leave it and find one that DOES accept you....or start one of your own.

Human beings need a measure of social validation in order to be be psychologically healthy. Men especially need social validation from the women in their community or environment to be at their best. Which is why we have female cheerleaders on many sports teams. Infact, I said in another thread recently that I wished more women would post on this site. Many women are happy as hell to spend long periods of time around just other women, but most men aren't like that. But human beings really need REAL LIFE interaction with eacother in order to be healthy. Some have a greater need than others, but all have that need and I believe all of this "online" activity is interfering with the natural process of socialization. I'm seeing a lot of grown men who have the type of social anxiety that you used to only see among early teenagers. Because everyone they meet and interact with is "online" they never learned to conquer their fear of actually stepping to girls and meeting new people. It's producing a society where so many people are stuck in their own little bubbles. Men and women in their 20s and 20s who can't tolerate any type of rejection and any type of confrontation makes them feel "bullied"

I still remember me and my brothers going to visit relatives who lived in the projects when we were kids.....lol. I remember the shitty green color of the walls and stairwells that smells like urine. Virginia Slim cigarette billboards all over the place. Crack and crack dealing hadn't gotten a foothold in the community yet so pimping and plain old robbing people were HUGE back in those days. But the thing I really remember was the COMMUNALISM that existed among most of the people. While the grown folks were talking and visiting, the kids would get together in groups to play and build go-carts and other things in empty lots and after playing we would go from unit to unit eating food at different family's apartments. I'm almost sure it was the same the way some of you grew up but when I went to the projects every time you met a new kid you never knew how things would turn out....yall could be fighting 5 minutes after meeting or yall could be sharing toys and being friends....lol. I remember getting into it with one joker and I hit him with my shoe and he took my shoe and ran off with it and I had to hop back to my cousin's place.....lol. But what was really weird was having someone you just met a couple hours ago taking the entire crew back home and their mother feeding all of us during dinner time! We didn't do that back in my neighborhood. You barely invited the friends you knew for years over for dinner.....let alone new ones you just met. Also, I remember there were still a lot of grown older men living in the projects and they could fix ANYTHING from cars to refrigerators to blow dryers to air conditioners. People really lived as a "village" and everyone knew everyone who came in. As far as the high rent they want to charge now.............. The Republicans have set out to dismantle all of the social and economic gains America has made since Roosevelt...and that includes public housing. Most wealthy Republican conservatives actually hate anything "public" or supplied by the goverment because it gets in the way of private corporations making a profit from filling the demand. They don't want the public supplying housing for people, because it's too many options. They want private housing to dominate so that you will have no choice but to pay extemely high rent and taxes OR be homeless. This was the situation that greedy rich people had America in before the New Deal. Paying high rent for substandard housing. Roosevelt came along and built housing projects that were strong and sturdy in the inner cities to help the people. So what Republican Conservatives have done for the past 40 years or so is SABATOGE and DEFUND everything "public" and goverment offered to so that it will purposely This includes the public schools, public housing, medicaid, the post office, ect...... Anything public they will purposely defund and mismanage it to the point that it is in shambles.....then point at it as an example of how "inefficient" the government is and use it as an example of why it should be privatized. Who I blame are the Democrats and liberals who ALLOW it to happen and don't fight to increase funding.
