Black People- 4th Of July!
Cynique 4th of July has a special significance to ALL Americans, not just White Americans....lol. If the Whites under the British rule hadn't fought for their independence, there wouldn't have been a Civil War for OUR independence (or physical independence atleast). Remember, the British treated everyone in it's colonies of all races as their subjects. Infact, the British Empire would have probably gotten stronger and her African and Asian colonies would probably STILL be under her thumb. Troy The Constitution may have been formed BY White men FOR White men, but that doesn't stop Black people from using it if they so desire. Beer and liquor was also made BY White folks FOR White folks, but it doesn't stop negroes from guzzling it down all day every day. Black folks have a habit of picking and choosing what parts of America they include themselves in while conveniently neglecting other parts that require sacrifice or major decision making....they leave that to the "real Americans", lol. Nothing is keeping Black folks collectively from exercising their 2nd Amendment rights like White folks, except laziness and disunity. And it's the same with other rights that Black people as citizens of this nation have but too often choose not to exercise like voting, assembly, commerce, ect..... We can't get mad at White folks or claim it's THEIR thing and not ours when we have the same opportunity COLLECTIVELY to do what they are doing and be even more successful. Look at the Asians. Half of them aren't even American citizens and behave more like American citizens than WE do.

Good Question Mr. Trump
Troy Pioneer wrote, "If you love Obama, you should love Trump....because Obama MADE Trump," I completely disagree with this statement and any conclusions that flow from it. I would have to invoke my "Power to Defy Logic," to cosign on that one You find it illogical that Obama is the reason Trump is in office today? Then let me ask you two questions: 1. If President Obama had ACTED on prosecuting or atleast investigating in a public manner EVERYONE he and his Justice Department suspected of colluding with the Russian government at that time.....do you think Trump would be president? Trump was accusing Obama of spying on him WITHOUT any evidence, and here Obama HAD evidence and just let things go! 2. Because she won the popular vote by such a large margine, Hillary Clinton as well as most of those in her campaign wanted the challenge the results of the election but Obama was the FIRST to call her up and told her not to and to go ahead and concede. And you don't think that made a difference. You think if Obama hadn't called and encouraged her to concede as opposed to demanding that she actually FIGHT for the spot.....Trump would have just as easily gotten into the Whitehouse as he did? Cynique https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/9056-troy/Well, just because the Republicans cleaned the Democrat's clock, doesn't mean that black people deserted the Democratic party in large numbers, which was your original claim. it just means that the Republicans successfully tapped into the resentment and discontentment of a key segment of the white population. Their victory was a fluke because everybody including Republicans, themselves, underestimated the insidious bigotry permeating white America. The Republicans didn't clean the Democrats' clock. The Democrats just gave up without a fight....as usual....and let the Republicans have the Whitehouse. Remember 3 million MORE Americans voted for Hillary than Trump, so the majority of the American people are actually for the Democrats and their agenda and I believe that includes most White people. FDR was president of a nation caught in the throes of a great Depression and he had bi-partisan support in mobilizing the country to get back on its feet. He also realized that a war would be a boom to the economy, and the 1941 Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor was anticipated. A war did boost the economy - at the cost of millions of American lives. The economy was boosted BEFORE the war. As soon as Roosevelt took office he used the powers of his executive office to immediately create jobs for the millions of unemployed as well as implimented major welfare programs to address the immediate problems of homelessness and hunger. This was done in the early 30s. The United States didn't really get involved in WWII until a decade later in the 40s. The war certainly HELPED the economy and sent it into overdrive, but the economy was improving long before then based on the executive action of the President. Something Obama....and Clinton...and other presidents before them could have done but didn't. The message being sent is that law enforcement has the upper-hand in this or any society. Whose fault is that? Well..... During the Obama Administration...OBAMA was at fault. He had Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, two AfroAmerican Attorney Generals who could have used their positions to change police policies all over the nation, yet he failed to do so. Not picking on Obama, because the presidents before him could have done the same. Just showing you what Obama COULD have done if he indeed wanted to and took the problem seriously enough. Providing jobs? OK. Providing jobs that pay a living wage, not so much. Whose fault is that? Again, if it's during Obama's Administration it's HIS fault because he could have used executive orders to engineer a jobs program the paid living wages like Roosevelt did. Now all of a sudden you are defending Hillary's honor. How can you blame Obama for her defeat?? I can blame him for her defeat! In part atleast................. Does anyone find it suspicious that President Obama is the one who first told Hillary not to challenge the election but just go ahead and concede? There were those in her camp that wanted her to challenge the results and take it all the way to the Supreme Court like Bush v Gore, but Obama....the same one you claim EXPECTED her to win.....for some reason TOLD her to go ahead and concede the same damn night.

Tupac Shakur Movie,All Eyes On Me...
Troy If he never existed do you think anything would be materially different in the Black community? Ofcourse. Everyone born on this planet makes SOME sort of a difference and has SOME impact on society no matter how microscopic. Rather than speculating on what the Black community would be like if Tupac had never existed, I'd rather speculate on what the Black community would be like if he hadn't chosen the negative path for his career. For one, I'm sure you wouldn't see nearly as many Black people with tatoos as you do today. I'm sure you wouldn't have so many Black males calling themselves "thugs" and taking pride in it. Some say when it's your time it's your time, but there's a possibility that if he hadn't went negative and gloomy he'd probably still be alive today and with his talent and charisma there's no telling what type of POSITIVE impact he would be having on this society. And although no scientific study has been done, I often wonder how many Black men killed other Black men as a direct result of getting worked up off of listening to Tupac's music. Ofcourse the same things could be said for NWA, Biggie, and the other forefathers of gangster rap and negative Hiphop. But since we're talking about Pac specifically...... Of the thousands of Black men who have been killed by other Black men since the mid 90s, don't you think atleast ....say....a dozen or two.....maybe more....of those killing could have been attributed directly to Tupac's glorification of violence in his music?

Good Question Mr. Trump
Cynique Has anybody ever said what he should've done to turn things around for black people. What could've been done to create more jobs and make law enforcement more accountable. And it can't be so lightly dismissed that he was hog-tied by a Republican senate. Ever heard of "executive orders"? Trump has issued dozens of them since the 6 months he's been in office. More than Obama's entire 2 terms. Obama has a Black Attorney General in office for both terms, they are the HEAD of all the law enforcement in the United States. Any orders he gave them they would have been duty bound to carry out all the way down to the lowest police officer. But what did he choose to do instead? Have beer with the cop who assaulted Henry L. Gates, one of our foremost Black scholars today. As far as creating jobs, he could have used an executive order to initiate those too.....like Franklin D. Roosevelt did to aleviate the Great Depression. Ofcourse congress would have had to fund it, but he could have still initiated it. But again, he refused to do so and instead came up with some "cash for clunkers" garbage. You can get things done when you WANT to get things done. But if you're just going through the motions and bullshitting people, then you'll come up with every convenient excuse in the world to cover for your inaction. Troy I'll take Obama over that any day of the week--shoot I'll take Bush (1 or 2). Yes and no. Yes I'll take Obama over Trump simply because I don't think Obama would be quite AS caustic to Black America as Trump is. But if I thought he'd actually DO something positive for me and other Black people, I'd sure enough support him! I'm not a Republican or a Democrat....I'm for whoever will support me and my cause. If you asked me who I think would be the most effective leader and who would accomplish the most for his base and those who got him in office....I'd go with Trump all the way. Ofcourse he lies like most politicians, but with this travel ban and his urging to eliminate Obama Care...he's done more for his base already than Obama has done for HIS in the past 8 years. Look at all the Black men who have been shot by cops under Obama. And look at all the White officers that shot them who have been exonerated under Trump. You tell ME who's been the most effective?

Troy I'll be totally honest with you. When I heard Bill say that, I didn't flinch and I really didn't think anything of it. First of all he was calling himself a house nigger, not a Black person. Second, although there's some shady shit he's said in the past that I don't care too much for I do think he's somewhat of an "ally" being a strong and articulate left-winger. So I don't think it's really wise to demonize or ostracize key White liberals in the media with the risk of driving him to the OTHER side and turning him conservative. Because if you remember, that's what happened with Geraldo Rivera...lol. Geraldo (who I didn't completely trust either) was a strong liberal and used to speak out heavily against racism but when he said he believed OJ was guilty and some leaders of the Black community called him out and challenged him on it....he didn't get over that. He actually turned conservative and joined Fox News.....lol. If I were sitting right next to Bill when he said that not only wouldn't I have demanded an apology I probably would have laughed a little at him calling himself that. Now is Bill a closet racist who made a Freudian slip? I don't know, like I said I've heard him say shady shit in the past. But at this point I'm not going to speculate or throw him in the same heap as Richard Spencer or David Duke over one or two off-handed comments. Which leads me to my next point.......... Political correctness has gone too far. because it masks what people really feel. I'm noticing more and more Black people complaining about political correctness and I have to wonder do they understand the history and purpose of it. They hear White men complaining about it....infact most White males HATE political correctness and complain about it every chance they get....and now it's caught on and has become popular to demonize political correctness. But White men don't like it because it doesn't allow them to be as openly racist and sexist as they've been in the past. I don't like the idea of people's speech being constantly monitored and controlled, but also believe a polite society or a relatively politically correct society is a much less violent society. If everyone went around telling others how they REALLY felt about them or what they REALLY thought of them, a lot of business wouldn't get done and there'd be a lot of people fighting and/or staying away from eachother. I don't think most people like their bosses, so imagine if they refrained from political correctness and just TOLD them that out-right.....lol. Many would get fired, others would get shittier working conditions, ect.....so most have learned to hold a mask to their face. What if a White person who worked at a resturant you ate at regularly all of a sudden looked at you with a smile and said he didn't like Black people and thought they were disgusting? What you still continue to eat there? Probably not. Ofcourse you'd like to know who your enemies are, but you don't want them to have the freedom to just act their hatred out either. Cynique Maher readily admits that he benefits from white entitlement and that he is inadvertantly racist. That's about all impotent blacks can ask from whites who are their political allies against lying, right-wing Conservative, white supremist Republicans as well as the phony, spineless, ineffective, Democrat Liberals who Maher regularly excoriates. This is part of my point. I hadn't even read this before my post to Troy but I DO consider Bill somewhat of an "ally" in the fight against rabid right wing extremism. We have to learn the art of diplomacy and politics and how to keep people on our side without being so critical of every little mistake they make that it runs them away from us and into the arms of our enemies.

Tupac Shakur Movie,All Eyes On Me...
No he wasn't the CAUSE of the ills the Black community suffers from today, but he CONTRIBUTED to much of it. Just like NWA, Ice T, Biggie, and the other gangter rappers of yesterday and today. They took a negative element that already existed in our community....in every community....and GLORIFIED it and MAGNIFIED it, making it more popular among Black youth. So now when 25 people get shot at a night club in Little Rock.....no one is really suprised nor is there much of an outrage, it's almost seen as normal because it's been rapped about so much. Unlike the Kool Moe Dee's and Public Enemy's of the earlier Hiphop era, NWA and Tupac helped make being a "nigga" cool. Running up and down the stage with your shirt off slinging your arms like a monkey, or getting on television and counting your money with slob hanging out your mouth was the thing to do. No doubt Tupac was talented. And that's why I believe he was USED, along with the other talented and influencial gangster rappers like Ice Cube and Dre to steer Black youth in a negative direction. The same can be said of 50 Cent and Lil Wayne. They are talented and influencial and being used as tools to criminalize and demoralize Black youth so that they become perpetual slaves in a prison industrial complex.

Troy Is talking like that, in mixed company, considered sexist today? Your statement is harmless and quite flattering, but do you know I actually got in trouble over a comment similar to that at a job many years ago? I used to work in a store as a cashier and one very slow day it was me, 2 other male employees and about 5 female employees all bunched up together joking around. Our manager complained about all of us being up front and said there were too many people congregated in one place. I jokingly said I didn't know there was any such thing as "too many women" in one place. The manager was female and didn't mind it, but later she called me in the office and gave me a verbal warning because one of the females there who heard me say it complained! Sexual harassment and related offenses have changed a lot over the years as the work place has gotten more and more strict. The problem with this type of talk is........ I've found that some women LOVE it when men talk this way because it makes us look masculine and brave....like we're challenging the system and bucking the norm. Other women really do find it offensive. So like you said, in mixed company you never know who you're offended or what they think of it. A lot of times women who aren't offended actually PRETEND to be offended when they're around other women because they're conditioned to believe that's how they SHOULD act when a man makes a sexual joke or comment. Even if they really find it charming, they are taught they should be offended by it. And I believe a lot of this offense and outrage is race-related. Anywho, that is the thing that strikes me every time I visit. The city has more than it's share of beautiful Black people. That's what I love about Atlanta. It seems to attract some of the finest Black women some of the most professional Black people in general, I believe it's because of all the Black colleges. Washington D.C. and Baltimore also has a lot of Black professionals, but those cities are so old and crumbling that they really don't compare to a newer more cosmopolitan Atlanta. I wanted Detroit to be that way. It's actually Blacker than Atlanta but doesn't have the Black professional class Atlanta has. I know a lot of brothers and sisters I grew up with who left Detroit just to go down and establish themsleves in Atlanta, and you can probably say the same. Most of the people who live in Atlanta aren't even from there but are Black folks from the Eastcoast Westcoast and North who just flocked down there to make a new life for themselves.

Super Powers
Troy It's not that hard to figure out. Sex is the portal through which human life is usually brought into existence and it's one of the things the tend to pre-occupy the minds of most people either consciously or subconsciously. Like they say, everything a man (and most women) does is somehow tied to getting more sex. You go to school....to get a good job....so you can attract more women for sex. You buy a nice car....so you can attract more women for sex. You go to church.....hoping to find a wife.....to have sex. You vote for Obama....hoping he'll make your life better....so you can have more sex. So it should be of little suprise that when you acquire SUPER POWERS....you'd use those powers to attract more women for sex, and then impress them with your super skills in bed, lol. Del the failure is in or with life. So the sadness is the failure of either rhe father to see the son's plight. Ir the son being overwhelmed by life. Neither is a success. Suicide ir the attempt is the end result of resignation. Sure after a certain amount of time passes, perhaps an hour or two...perhaps a few days.. the father would be sad at the fact that his son would attempt to take his own life. But in the moment upon immediately discovering or witnessing what his son tried to do and his failure at it, the father would be elated that the son is STILL ALIVE after that failed attempt. A father comes how from work and finds a suicide note on the table from his son who says that he has decided to hand himself upstairs in his room. ((probably because he wasn't having sex)) The father rushes upstairs in a panic looking for his son. At this point, he hope his son ISN'T successful. He hope his son HASN'T hurt himself or that he can catch him in time. He hopes that his son has FAILED. So when he kicks the door in and finds his son laying on the floor of his room crumpled up in a heap with a noosed sheet around his neck crying and coughing instead of swinging from the ceiling dead, in that very moment and probably for atleast a few hours afterwards pops is happy as hell at his son's failure! An answer to your question, what dad ISN'T saddened by the failure of his own kid....lol.

Whether or not a woman was a virgin really wasn't a big deal for me. Infact, if I had to nail down a choice I would choose the one who wasn't a virgin. Blood is a turn off whether it's from a virgin or menstration. I've had 2 virgins....one of who didn't even know she WAS a virgin! She thought oral sex was real sex and found out the "hard" way (pun intended) that she wasn't...lol. I just don't want a woman who's had a LOT of sexual partners. 5 is the limit. If I find out you've been shafted by more than 5 different men, we could still be friends and talk....but that's it. If you're 60, I may be a little more forgiving. But if you're 30 and had 20 different boyfriends....have mercy.

Good Question Mr. Trump
He refused to do it because, like everybody else, he thought Clinton was going to win. He was a lame duck president, so what did he have to lose by outing Russia, if he thought it was feasible. He could have GUARANTEED Clinton's victory instead of assuming it...like Gore did in 2000. Democrats refuse to fight half the time, and don't even know HOW to fight when they choose to. He had absolutely NOTHING to lose by launching a major investigation in the last few months of the election to find out if the Republicans were colluding with Russia and perhaps making arrests of those suspected. This would have assured Clinton's victory.....but he just couldn't do that. He seemed to always have an excuse for losing or NOT giving his grassroot supporters what they want. Yes Obama did help Trump enable all of those bigots and homophobes and hypocritical Evangelicals and white supremists and misogynists "forgotten people" yearning to get that nigger out of office and make America great again. Which is right up your alley since you've proven to be a closet Obama hater who loves this wonderful country. . I don't hate Obama. I voted for him the FIRST time he ran. I'm more disappointed in him than anything. I see him more as weak, too "cerebral" and out of touch with what most people are going through. People love a fighter, especially someone who's fighting for THEM. I'm sure that most of the few Black people who DO support Trump are doing so because they believe he'll actualy DO something for them, as opposed to Obama who had a million and one excuses for why he couldn't.

I've heard of him. I believe him and Tariq Nasheed (Hidden Colors producer) got into some sort of altercation not too long ago. Now Tariq routinely insults him on his show with a puppet doll and calls him "crispy".....lol. I lived in Atlanta briefly and I didn't detect any real friction between Black men and women there. Infact, I've hooked up with a few good sisters in the ATL. I've seen cities that were much worse.....like Chicago and Philadelphia where you can't even LOOK at a Black woman on the street without her having an attitude or rolling her eyes. Infact, back in the 90s Atlanta was KNOWN to have some of the finest sistaz in the country...lol. I remember they used to have the Freaknic back in the day. But the thing I really noticed about Atlanta when I first arrived was the very large population of gay and effeminate Black men. I call it the San Francisco of the South. I remember visiting Morehouse College for the first time and being amazed at so many young men walking around in skirts and high heels.....WTF! It's funny that both Atlanta and San Francisco have high gay populations and both cities have some of the most attractive women in the nation. I don't know if there's some sort of correlation....lol. But I didn't see nor did I experience ANY problems with Black women in the ATL. Perhaps this is because I didn't hang out in the hood. I stomped around Buckhead and the Lenox Square area trying to get as close to the rich and famous negroes as I could....lol.

Do White American Men need a quota to play in the NBA
Eminem Tiger Woods Michael Jordan and JayZ I can understand the examples of Eminem and Tiger Woods excelling in industries that are predominated by another race.....but I don't undertand the examples of MJ and Jay Z. Troy Now wait until foreigners start to surpass Black folks Wait???? It's already happening in many major cities. Since the 60s, Black people have become so "satisfied" and apathetic that they've allowed Latinos and Asians to gain economic, political and even demographic power in the United States. Too many of our people mistakenly believed that because these were "people of color" that they were going to automatically be on our side, but as it turned out many of them were more racist and posed a bigger threat to Black progress than even Whites. Whites have brought them in largely to replace Black people as the NEW slaves. Willing to work harder and complain less.

Tupac Shakur Movie,All Eyes On Me...
Haven't seen it yet, and I don't have a very strong desire TO see it. I don't have the type of respect and reverence for Tupac that most Black people seem to have for him. I think his entertainment career has caused far more harm than good for Black America. He's a major reason so many Black youth today: 1. Are getting so many tatoos. 2. Take pride in calling themselves "thugs" 3. Refer to other Black men as "bitch ass niggas" so much The image he pushed was very damaging. It REALLY confuses me when people call him a revolutionary and try to portray him as some sort of Black messiah. So what if his mother was a Black Panther who stood up for Black rights.....HE rapped about and glorified the killing of other Black men. As far as I'm concerned he was a charismatic and talented brother who MIS-used and wasted most of his talent and charm.

Good Question Mr. Trump
First of all he didn't even ACKNOWLEDGE the fact that the Russians were helping the Republicans....a fact that he KNEW to be true but withheld the information and instruced his Justice Department to do the same. Second, he could have secured the election and prosecuted all the people that were involved and detain all the people suspected of colluding with the Russians which would have included a large chunk of the Republican party and the Trump campaigne. But he refused to do so, because he was frightened of what his political enemies the Republicans would "think" of him. Who cares about the Democrats or the disenfranchised Black voters who were probably cheated out of their votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and other states by Republican manipulation of the voting ballot. He's gonna play Mr Fair Nice Guy and not put up a fight, and now the Republicans are in full power....thanks to Brutha-bama. If you love Obama, you should love Trump....because Obama MADE Trump President. infact, when the election was just getting over and it looked like Trump was going to win Obama URGED Hillary Clinton to just go ahead and concede even when some other members of her campaign urged her to stay in and fight a little while longer.

Who can you trust, If you can't trust NASA
Cynique i am not naive enough to think that the institutionalized racism in this country will be dissolved by sitting in Starbucks dreaming up ways to show how different blacks are from whites. ......see, that's why I don't put my picture and other personal information online. The ONLY thing you know about my personal life is that I frequent Starbucks, and boy are you bringing it up every chance you get...lol. Now just IMAGING if you knew what I did for a living, where I lived, or what type of car I drived. All of that would be subject for critique or possibly "weaponized" to be used at some time in the future. What you and Farrakhan need to do is go somewhere and build your own nation, because this jive-assed country that you honor and revere and yearn to be loved by will never relinquish its white entitlement, and the hybrid "race" of 40 million people of color that you attempt to establish a criteria for and put into a neat little box will not be whipped in line by your pie-in-the-sky-ideas. I tell you what. How about me and Minister Farrakhan start our own nation together while YOU and Delano team up and start YOUR own nation -call it "Delaniqua". ....and we'll see who'll be ruling who in a few years, lol. Maybe you two have a hotline to the same NASA that you have so much faith in to help feed you.

Wow....what a profound response! You must have been SAVING that for months looking for the perfect opportunity to drop it.......lol. The same mindset that has blinded you to recognizing the subtle yet present racism of the Time magazine photo of Viola Davis is the same mindset the prevents you from understand how race and science are interwined and used....often negatively....for political and social purposes. You can say what you want about my "facts" and my methods for arriving at them...... Atleast I think for MYSELF and come to my own conclusions based on what I've experience and personally observed.....as opposed to worshipping White men in white coats with glasses and letting THEM tell me what and how to think. Again, Black people would fair FAR better off if they'd just start thinking for themselves and developing their own science and scientific methods instead of relying on White people to hand down everything to them.

Good Question Mr. Trump
You sir...are absolutely right that any action taken by Obama would have been twisted by the other party and made to look like a political move. My question is: And?????? I mean, isn't political wins one of the goals? This goes right back to my original criticizm of Obama and his wimpy behavior in the face of Republican opposition. Him and other Democrats were so frightened about what their Republican adversaries would do or think they were virtually paralyzed with fear. Him and his unconditional supporters constantly invoked, "The Republicans won't let him do that" .....to excuse his inactivity and weakness. Republicans make moves not giving a damn HOW it looks. They are more concerned about WINNING. Do you think Trump cared how he looked when he fired Comey? Especially to Democrats? People say there's a civil war going on in Washington and I disagree with them, because a war is when BOTH sides are fighting. For nearly 40 years Republican conservatives have been waging war and fighting dirty and the liberals and Democrats haven't really been fighting at all. One of the reasons people liked Trump and George W. before him is because regardless of he atleast fights for his base and throws bones to them. Obama had MORE than enough evidence as well as the entire Justice Department on his side to take action and hunt down everyone suspected of colluding with a foreign power to undermine the United States. He had the evidence and the power to do his job, but refused to do so. And because of his cowardice and inaction.....the United States may be heading to a place of no return.

Good Question Mr. Trump
Donald Trump said that if Obama KNEW that the Russians were meddling in and trying to influence the 2016 Presidential election, then why the hell didn't he DO something about it? http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/23/politics/vladmir-putin-russia-election/index.html Good question Mr. Trump.....DAMN good question! Cynique You are more than "luke warm" about Farrakhan, you seem not to like the man at all. I actually LIKE Obama, I just thought he was pretty weak and ineffective as a leader. He did some good things, and some not so good things...but he could have done more. I found myself actually AGREEING with Donald Trump when I read an article today about Obama having clear evidence that Russia was trying to hack and influence the Presidential election. Trump said hell, if Obama knew all of this then why didn't he DO something about it! http://www.cnn.com/2017/06/23/politics/vladmir-putin-russia-election/index.html And I agree...why DIDN'T Obama do something about it? You and Mel may love Obama, but just know that Obama is the number 1 reason Trump is in office today! Troy Back during my "religious phase" I studied various religions that I thought would help me and help Black people collectively. I studied the teachings of the Nation of Islam and used to attend their services and to me they are pound for pound one of the most effective organizations for cleaning up and improving the overall lives of Black people in America as of right now. That's why they have so much of my respect. I don't know of too many organizations that share their same track record. Even the religious or "cultish" aspect of it makes sense to me, because when you're dealing with ex-criminals, ex-dope addicts, ex-gang bangers....you NEED a strong dominating structure to constantly stay on you and give you firm direction in your life. You and I may not need a religious structure, but I recognize the many of our people do in thier development process and if we're gonna get one....that structure may as well be built by other Black men who understand us.

Del Try searching for African American Scientist and Mathematicians. I am sure there are associations They probably exist, but they are still students of a science and mathematics that is taught by White academia. It's not their "own" science they are congregating to discuss. Cynique No, KNOWLEDGE and FACTS have no color to them. But science or the type of science that is practiced among various groups is heavily influenced by the culture it sprang from. If not....why is so much of the medicine and science practiced in the United States written and spoken in LATIN and GREEK?? Most of the Black scientists who make great discoveries are Black scientists who: a. Never went to White universities and decided to just go into nature and experiment on their own to arrive at their OWN conclusions and facts. These are your George Washington Carver types. Or b. Black scientist who DID go to White universities and learn but decided to go rogue and study things outside of the way they were instructed and STUMBLED upon truths that were either not taught or "hidden" from them. Purveyors of folk medicine and natural cures come in all races. The Nazis experimented on the Jews to discern scientific data not jewish data, the same as black people were used as Guinea pigs to learn about human diseases not black ones. Eugenics were more about social injustice than scientific differentiation. Well just look at the word EU-GENICS. Most people who study it will claim it means promoting "good" genes. But if you look at the word, it begins with "eu" because it's really about promoting EU-ROPEAN genes. Black teachers teach standard education and, if they are good teachers, they filter it through the black experience. But what they teach is basic. Reading is fundamental and 1+1 will always equal 2. I understand what you're saying, but GENERALLY speaking........... Black children tend to learn differently than White children; especially the boys. Black boys tend to have more energy and be more active and have a shorter attention span so classes that force them to sit still all day long and LISTEN to a teacher talk bores them. Another issue is the co-ed education that is common in the United States. Again, most White and Asian boys can sit in with a class room full of girls and focus on learning. Most Black boys CAN'T and WON'T. Not trying to "push Farrakhan down your throat" but the Nation of Islam recognized this about the Black man early on even back in the 1930s. They teach that the "nature" of Black men is different than that of White men and because of this difference we LEARN things differently. So when you go to on of their temples you'll see the women sitting on one side and the men on the other side, so that neither is distracted. In their schools (they have one in Detroit and I believe on in Chicago) the boys and girls are separated....and from what I've heard the boys in Nation of Islams schools have EXCELLENT GRADES!! Facts and figures may be the same, but the DELIVERY of those fact and figures makes the difference between success and failure. If you are saying that there should be a field of black doctors exclusively available to concentrate on and treat black diseases, then OK. Then OK. That's SOME of what I'm saying....lol. Black people do EXTREMELY well when they stop using White methods and discover their OWN way of doing things for their people. This is the case whether it's in medicine, business, law, entertainment, education, ect...... Look at rap music and how successful it is today. Look at Jazz, R&B, and other forms of Black music and how successful there are. Look at Motown, or Bad Boy Entertainment. Black folks decided to duck out of White music and develop our OWN style and now the entire world is rocking to it. Imagine if we'd take that approach to engineering, medicine, ect....
