  1. @KENNETHwelcome and your balanced assessment is most appreciated,
  2. @nels sources matter. I too am not convinced you are what is known as a troll. Some trolls troll because they get their kicks riling others up. In the social media age trolls are even paid, as they help spread propaganda and misinformation to confuse the public. I'm not sure what your motivation is, but when someone demonstrates zero interest in intellectual honestly they are indistinguishable from a troll. Would you entertain the idea and consider Lifezette is a questionable source?
  3. The left is not hurting black people and the political right is not helping us. Most black people are moderate or reform minded in their politics they don't go for socialism or anything radical. The problem is conservatives wrongly conflate moderate and liberal black Democratic politicians with leftists. This is only a tactic to scare and discourage people whether it's blacks or working class whites from supporting any kind of forward thinking political reform that might lead to a fair economy that benefits us all with equal rights and opportunities for all. Make no mistake about it the agenda of the political right whether it's white people or blacks is to insure a stable, orderly, society built on tradition that is skeptical and generally opposed to change. A society like that especially in the US has never been or can it be conducive to the economic, social, and political wellbeing of black people. We don't benefit from unregulated capitalism, a government that is unresponsive to social problems, or using the state to impose so called traditional values. All these things are advocated by the political right. Does any of this mean that black people should be passive or uncritical supporters of the left or moderate to liberal Democrats ? Absolutely not. We must think, organize, and challenge anything or anyone who does not offer a plan or platform that advances our struggle against systemic racism which also encompasses economic inequality.
  4. I believe that article is behind a paywall. Nonetheless, it is amazing that athletes are told to "shut and play" if they express any political opinions, yet, someone wants to hold them accountable for forced labor when it comes to a shoe deal. Nevermind that the players do not own the brands. H8ll, if that is the case, there would be no sports teams if the players boycotted their racist owners who pay them to play. 😎
  5. Correct. That's what I meant but should have been more specific in referring to higher education.😎
  6. Well, I certainly appreciate and enjoy reading whatever you decide to post. 😎
  7. As I've mentioned before, my idea of reparations isn't just handing out checks. Reparations would be free education, no taxes and investment in programs, banks and other institutions that guarantee AfroAmericans access to resources. 😎
  8. That's fine I don't require agreement, or even contemplation on anything I post.
  9. @Stefan the problem with comparing the Jewish Holocaust (as done in the article you shared) and the African Holocaust in terms of reparations is that we were talking about living survivors. The same goes for the Japanese-Americans who victimized during WWII. While there is at least one surviving child of an enslaved African (see video below) the vast majority of us are generations removed from slavery. As a result it is hard for people to see why we should be compensated. The other problem is that the American public is so poorly educated about American slavery most people think we were put in a better position by being brought here -- seriously! Then of course you have the population of white people, who despite their advantages compared to Black people, are struggling. They deserve help too, but Black people deserve so much more. This discrepancy leads to jealously and just plan hate. this will be virtually impossible to over come. Maybe instead of cash payments. How about a life time of not having to pay federal income taxes and a refund of taxes previously pad with interest 🙂
  10. Instagram as a news source? Is this some serious stuff? Ha ha ha. How about using the "Free Wood Post?" This company claims to offer real news such as this riveting exposure: "North Korea unable to access AOL dial-up account." I am certain there's a photo as well as several sworn affidavits attesting to the rainbow colored gay hamster living in Kamala's 20-somthing ex-boyfriends's mullet wearing neighbor's left running shoe. According to sources in a Kansas City, Kan., Colombian pizzeria. Oh, but we're talking about Biden's free crack pipes. You see, Biden knew he was gonna get in trouble with that, so he shipped them to Mad Vlad and Putin has been smoking up a storm ever since. Why else would he term his invasion of Ukraine as merely a peace keeping mission? He needs another hit.
  11. Epoch Times is nothing but a Right Wing rag connected to Falun Gong, a quasi-political and religious movement banned in China. The multi-language publication adores one Donald Trump and has been a leading proponent of the canard that the 2020 election was rigged. It wasn't. Some of the strange ideology of Falun Gong adherents includes a distrust of medical doctors and a belief in malevolent, Earth-roaming aliens who created diabolical technology, such as video games, according to The Atlantic magazine. And Falun Gong members are Nels' intellectual heroes? Excuse me for giggling. Demand Nels actually produce verifiable figures for his Black athlete blaming nonsense. Now, Eileen Gu, the U.S.-born freestyle skier who has been labeled a traitor by none other than Fox News, banked $31 million in 2021 thanks to endorsement deals for various Chinese products. No one hears Nels whining about that. Eileen Gu racked up $31 million in endorsements in 2021
  12. But Nels ignores Eileen Gu who was born in the U.S. and decided to ski for China at the just completed Olympics. In Nels' mind, Black people are the ONLY individuals he loves to lambaste, insult and attack. Everyone else gets a free pass. Self hatred amongst Black people has surged with the ascension of Trump, who incidentally approves of the brutal invasion of Ukraine and the anticipated assassination of democratically elected Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. When reading Nels, you're reading a Fascist who would gladly do away with most Blacks.
  13. Embedding Danielle instagram post (above) I'm sure you have insulted me more times I have insulted all the other combined. Again you are just making things up again. @Pioneer1, tell Mzuri how often have I insulted you. @Mzuri you conflate disagreement, and a challenge of your ideas, as insulting.
  14. The Right wing strategy is to misrepresent CRT as a future threat. This is a scare tactic to get white parents up in arms, and there's nothing more rabid than white women who think their little school children are in danger of being the target of black resentment. And these white women go to the polls and vote their emotions. Lies have become the biggest and most effective weapon of the Retrumpican conservatives. They have constructed a whole counter culture made up of lies and half-truths. They are a real threat because the Progressives in the Democratic party are turning off middle America.
  15. @Mzuri, that number came from this chart posted earlier in the thread. 😎
