  1. True. Shall we pat ourselves on the back for being civilized?๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜Š
  2. Yes it could be possible to use empathy and observation to understand another person. The problem is a lack of verified meaning and understanding. Similar to what happens in all types of misunderstandings. @Cynique I agree in theory. Although this isn't generally the way conversations unfold here and elsewhere.
  3. Valid question. Human beings have come up with definitions from a combination of shared and/or similar experiences. But, we also have the capacity to describe things we haven't experienced directly by collecting information. Artificial intelligence is good example of how scientists are trying to bring it all together.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Agreed. But as you already know by now, I believe Black folks have been bamboozled by spineless and weak Democats too. Our current political parties are two sides of the same coin. The maintenance of racism white supremacy by any means necessary is their main objective. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. On cue and as expected,๐Ÿ˜ while I do not disagree with your sentiment, there's no shortage of AfroAmerican talent. You'll find a whole lot of AfroAmerican talent in black churches, performing arts schools, colleges and universities all over this country. Unfortunately, you will not find the best of AfroAmerican talent on the radio or music videos. Those outlets are designed to sell the McDonald's equivalent of music. There's a reason Jazz lost it's popularity. Not because it's unsophisticated music. To the contrary, one has to be talented in order to play Jazz at a high level. The reality is Jazz doesn't sell well. Any type of music or art in general that requires the listener to pay attention is usually an acquired taste. OTOH, simpler art is easier to consume whether it's music, movies, plays, paintings, etc. Commercial music has been dumbed down for many years. But, that doesn't negate the fact that plenty higher quality music is still being composed, written and produced. You just have to look harder for it. As long as AfroAmericans rely on White folks to finance, market and promote their music, rest assured they're going to invest in the trash that sells and makes the most money. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. Change is a Universal Constant....its happening everywhere nonstop. Time is the Rate of Change in Space. We use the heavenly bodies to gauge Time because of their regularity (and its effects) and imperceptibly rate of change relative to our own (and it's benefits) Time exist in Space....The 4th dimension of Space Change is how we experience time...either in ourselves or environment often both. Exactly Yes Our sleeping dreams disobey the laws of Time...try Lucid Dreaming exercises. - Dreamtime "In the Zone" of "Flow".....equals genius Everything influences everything else, some more than other for various reasons. Man has found that heavenly bodies influence the earth and its inhabitants. Astrology tries to understand.... and strengthens or weakens those influences so as to have some control thereby making then useful and beneficial. .
  7. @Pioneer1my status has the section of the nigerian governments offical posting. Remember, all governments are in parts. Some parts of each human government over a mostly black populace works for the betterment of black people. Not all parts, but some parts. This is the truth in all governments. None, including even the USA's is one whole thing. It has parts. Some do positive things, some do negative things, all parts of any government help some while hurt others.
  8. Prerequisite of being a politician is having the ability to speak with a forked tongue when necessary. ๐Ÿ˜ However, POTUS PJB should not be accused of speaking out of both sides of his face this time. There's a clear and present danger being stirred up on the Right. POTUS should do whatever it takes to tamp down and/or extinguish it. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. A lot of generalizations in this article, and conclusions reached by people who weren't totally objective. Little attention is given to the golden tan African American females held in high regard by black men. Instead, it seemed all about high-yellow or dark brown. What i have noticed down through the years is how the perception of what is "light-skinned" varies from person to person, and what color folks consider themselves to be is not always in agreement with how others see them. On my job, I was involuntarily cast in a very uncomfortable position by my co-workers who used me as the standard for being light-skinned and they would describe others as being various degrees darker than me, or as light as or almost as light as me. This would even result in arguments. Yes, my husband said me being a "red bone" was one of the things that influenced his attraction to me, but I had girlfriends who came in all shades and they never had trouble getting top of the line men. Back in the 1950s big fine legs and nice "racks" and naturally long hair, not weaves or extensions) were regarded as premium assets. I have dimples, and you also got points for that, back then. Go, figure. ๐Ÿ˜›
