  1. I saw a little bit of it in a few clips but I didn't actually watch it. 10 years ago I would have, but today I'm jaded with not only Trump but the mild reactions to his antics by his so-called opponents I was listening to Tariq Nasheed the other day and people all in the comment section talking about they should have been more respectful, less biased, give him a chance. Give him a chance to DO WHAT? We already KNOW the man is a racist liar....do you need to hear MORE racism and lies from him to make up your mind? Why was he even ALLOWED to come to a Black Journalist's convention, let alone INVITED to one? To be fair? Fair how? Fair is not inviting his ass on in the first place....that's FAIR. The man can come on and lie, say the most outrageous things, say out right racist and bigoted things....and instead of him being censured and kept out of the media and even sued or locked up for his antics, he moves from one platform to another to spread more venom. He's clearly being ALLOWED by people higher than him to stir up anger and hatred in this nation. But what is even more disturbing is the mind manipulation going on with so many of our people who will IGNORE all of the lies and racism that comes from Trump (we won't even get into his supporters) and still worship him.
  2. Premeditated or not, I think the reaction by the community over this incident is going to be the same: Pretty much nothing. Why? Because of fear and indifference. Unfortunately, more indifference than fear. Atleast people in fear WANT to do something and might even try it if the opportunity arises and they think they may have a chance to bring justice. However people who are indifferent simple don't care. You could parade that killer cop around the town chained to a horse and most of the Black folks who happen to see him wouldn't even know who he was. That incident isn't even on the minds of many of our people. Getting high, having sex, and getting the bills paid, are. If Black folks were going to mobilize and do something as a result of this recent killing...they would have done it by now. Like Al Capone told Elliot Ness in The Untouchables, "If you were a REAL man you would have done it already". (as opposed to just running your mouth about it)
  3. I've read and heard that vaping....because of the chemicals in those devices...are actually even worse than smoking it the old fashioned way. A lot of young people are having lung problems from those vaping devices. I also tried smoking weed several times but I didn't get the euphoria from it that so many people get. I get effects from it like hearing my heart beat and a few sound distortions....which aren't scary but not necessarily fun either. However I don't need to simply feel "different"; if it's not going to make me feel BETTER or make me SMARTER then I don't see a need to even engage in it.
  4. I too support her over Trump, however I'm curious as to why you crossed out the "half" part? Do you NOT consider her only half Black....but fully Black instead? Cynique Here's my 2 cents. There are more single women among Blacks than any other ethnicity and that's because sistas have to share black men with white women. White women face no such dilemma. White men are not bypassing them to marry black women. Even among celebrities. So this is a non issue imo. What??? What do you mean "White women face no such dilema" when so many White men have abandoned White women for Asian wives and mail-order brides? No, White women are dealing with the same thing but they just aren't as vocal about it....all over the television, movies, and now internet disrespecting their men in public over it. You have to damn near PULL it out of them that they even NOTICE the large amount of White men complaining about them and how fat, loud, and masculine White women in the West are compared to Asian and other foreign women. In any case, who could blame black women if they seek to diversify their choices in men, considering the contentious relationship they have with black males. I can blame those who do....depending on the REASONS they do it. If Black women choose to mate with men of other races simply because she sees them as other MEN and believes in giving all men an equal chance, then NO....I don't blame them. In their minds, they are simply being fair. However if they choose men of other races to mate with because they feel those men are "better"...then that's a sickness that must be dealt with. If you are Black but don't think Black men are good enough for you: 1. What does that say about your Daddy who MADE you? 2. What does that say about YOU yourself? If the example of a black female role model being a sista who has snared a brotha with a car and a good job is a dated idea, so is all this blather about slavery still influencing the dynamic between black women and white men in the year 2024, especially considering what a black career woman brings to the tabie. The fact that she was ALLOWED to come to the table says a lot, though. And more importantly, WHO is allowing her to come to the table....and who ISN'T being allowed to come to the table? The reason she IS successful a lot of times isn't simply because of HER hard work and intelligence, but because White men who don't see her as big of a threat ALLOW her talents to shine and benefit her. Where as a lot of Black males who are talented and smart are TARGETED and prevented from even getting through the door...let alone brought to the table. I've seen it before on jobs, where intelligent ambitious Black men have their careers sabotaged by jealous men of other races. I've seen this done less often to Black women, who's biggest threat seems to come from other White women.
  5. If Kamala gets in, we'll just get more of the same; which is certainly not ideal....but better than what will happen if Trump gets back in. Unfortunately a lot of mental-manipulation is going on in the AfroAmerican community because a lot of our people are very much pro Trump. A disturbing amount. They are still a minority, but they tend to be a very VOCAL minority. The Black people who support Trump are far more adamant and vocal about it than those who supported Biden and even those who support Harris. However Harris' supports do seem to be more excited and amped up over her campaign than they were for Biden so that's a good sign. If Biden had have stayed in the race, the Democrats would have surely lost.
  6. Look at this "news" article that JUST popped up on my screen after opening a fresh window: Black women, white dudes, crazy cat ladies: Identity groups fuel a groundswell for Harris Disabled voters for Harris. White dudes for Harris. Crazy cat ladies for Harris. Since Vice President Kamala Harris vaulted into becoming the likely Democratic nominee for president a week ago, a groundswell of identity-based grassroots groups have sprung up online to rally behind her. The nightly calls are raising millions of dollars and securing hundreds of volunteers, drawing comparisons to the grassroots efforts that fueled former President Obama to victory in 2008. Black women, white dudes, crazy cat ladies: Identity groups fuel a groundswell for Harris (msn.com) You mean to tell me that an agenda isn't afoot here? A narrative is DEFINITELY being set up. ProfD Don't quite understand this fixation on Michelle Obama. She hasn't even flirted with having political aspirations. Early on when Biden was being pressured to drop out of the race Michelle and Kamala were the two major names being tossed around in the mainstream media as top choices for Democratic Presidential Candidate. I don't know what happened but during the last month her name kind of disappeared. Maybe she made it clear that she wasn't interested in the job, but when I heard it....it rang a bell. I think she would actually be MORE helpful than her husband was for US (AfroAmericans). I think she'd be far more likely to listen to and be empathetic to our concerns because she's actually one of us. Barack wasn't FBA....she is. And she has far more backbone than he does. Guy used to sang: "It's just a fantasy........" But it sho' does feel good dreaming about it. Kamala wouldn't be quite as detrimental as Trump, but the "agenda" to reduce the FBA population will continue under her Administration and will actually get a boost from her and her husband's image. Being the children of immigrants too.....we all know where that's going during her administration.
  7. All over the internet you see articles and videos of "white dudes for Kamala" this and "white dudes for Harris" that. Making a big deal over her White supporters. Now tie that to the fact that she's married to a White man. I can already see the narrative: "White men got Kamala Harris in office while Black men sat on the couch" Not only will this be used to drive a wedge further into our already divided community as Black women pat "white dudes" on the back for helping Harris get in while giving Black men a side-eye for not supporting "sista girl" . But it will also be used as a excuse for her administration to do little for the AfroAmerican community since....as they'll claim...."white dudes" put her in office. Just the ammo the Establishment needs to further divide Black men and Black women and "lure" our sistaz away into the arms of White men.....or eachother. Now in truth........ We know that MOST of the White men who choose to vote, will NOT vote for Harris. We also know that MOST of the Black men who DO bother to vote WILL vote for Harris. It's the Black vote that will usher her in. But that's not how they're going to spin it. I told yall in another thread that Kamala's image will be used to FURTHER encourage Black women to leave Black men and run into the arms of White men (or eachother) I said that. I stand by what I said. I also said and I'll continue to say, she's better than Trump....but she's far from the ideal President for our community (AfroAmerican/FBA). Michelle Obama would have been a MUCH better choice not just in image but in policy and tangible benefits.
  8. ProfD A list of successful Black men have been marrying Beckys and Karens for a long time now. A long time as in....since the 1960s. Which is a mere fraction of the time White men have been banging Black women in this nation and continue to do so. Successful Black men marrying White women is DIFFERENT than successful Black women marrying White men. It usually means different things for different reasons. Successful Black women aren't going to wait around forever for a Black man to get his sh8t together. Since when have they waited? At what point and time in this nation were Black women who wanted a White man as a husband or lover NOT allowed to be with one? As a I alluded to earlier, even during Slavery White men and Black women openly had sexual relationships with eachother. Usually forced, but still open. However, there's no shortage of positive role models all around including books, magazines and internet. And in all 3 modes of media, the message is being pushed for Black women to ABANDON Black men and seek White men (or eachother) to attain success in this society. How many videos have you seen lately advising Black women to "divest" from Black men and "invest" in a relationship with White men to better their interests? How many videos have you see advising Asian or Latina women to do the same? Cynique Thank you for your input. "Should" may be the operative word for Pioneer's reaction to a point I wasn't trying to make but, as usual, his response was irrelevant. You, I, and everybody else already know what determines the role models that children adopt. Pioneer's holding black women to a different standard than black men was what provoked my post, and this was something he neglected to address he was so busy posting pictures. The observations I subsequently expressed after chiding him for his double standard were just me blowing off steam and required no explanatory response from him. You're absolutely correct there's a DOUBLE STANDARD when it comes to interracial relationships. As it SHOULD be. Most societies hold their women to a different standard than it holds the men, FOR GOOD REASON. As you know, when a woman sleeps with a man (unless it's for prostitution) she usually gives her HEART to that man and will do anything for him out of love and dedication. For men, sleeping with a woman is usually just sexual gratification. Pleasure. You saw this during Slavery where White men routinely had sex with and raped Black women while at the same time STILL hating both her and the Black man and not hesitating to harm or kill both. Most INTELLIGENT societies will absolutely hold men and women to different standards for their sexual behavior and choices. Furthermore, the role model most single black girls look up to is a sista who managed to snare herself a brotha with a good job and a car. Having a white husband doesn't necessarily send a positive message. That was back in 1985. Today, things are different. The image being pushed on little Black girls today is: 1. Find yourself a successful NON-BLACK man to build your life with or 2. Embrace EACHOTHER as Black women (lesbianism)
  9. Cinque @Pioneer: Being San Frsncisco's District attorney, California's Attorney General, and State senator along with a degree from Howard University are among Kamala's impressive credentials in case you're blind , deaf, or in denial. Unless YOU'RE visually impaired yourself, or just have a hard time comprehending....I'll ask you again: Who is the qualified BLACK sista running, that you speak of? Did I miss her? I've never known what position Michelle Obama ever held other than first Lady. Never knew what she put her law degree to work doing. The woman is a HARVARD LAW GRADUATE. She's a near genius in her profession and qualified to hold ANY position that Washington D.C. has to offer. She could easily learn what it takes to be President "on the job". Her husband has already been President and would surely help her and brief her on a lot of issues also. Besides... The President of the United States is just a FIGURE HEAD anyway. They aren't the ones making most of the major decisions. Their position is pretty much symbolic. Speaking of which......... For an FBA/BLACK woman who grew up on the South Side of Chicago to achieve the highest office of the land is a HUGE win for our community symbolically and a major boost for the esteem and status of Black Americans globally.
  10. "Should" is the operative word. What kids "should" do and what they ACTUALLY do are often two separate things. Children tend to emulate what they SEE the adults in their environment doing...whether they "should" do so or not. And because Black children tend to watch more television and consume more media than other children, they often see more adults in the media than they see their working parents...and thus tend to emulate THEM. Not just children, people in general tend to emulate those whom they see as successful. If little Black girls....many of whom don't have a father or even a father figure of ANY race in their lives see a woman "of color" occupying the highest office of the land and they constantly see a happy faced White man standing by her side grinning next to her...what type of message do it send them subliminally? "Take that one....Willie Brown"
  11. I'll support a qualified "Black sista" running for office....where is she? Did Michelle Obama change her mind or something???????
  12. Facts. We need to keep Reparations front and center in our political agenda as a people, however it's HOW you promote and push for it that I take issue with. Similar to how you and I criticize the effectiveness (or lack there of) of marching around in circles, blocking traffic, and shouting at cars driving by in dealing with violence against our community from race soldiers....similarly, we should question the effectiveness of having pep rallies and slam poetry contests to "get the word out" about our demand for Reparations. We need to be going directly to politicians both in office and about to be in office and challenging THEM to push our agenda. Holding a rally or bar-b-que where homeless people can come by and munch on a hot dog or two ain't gonna get you a damn thing except a BILL from the city. "Rally for Repa-WHO???? When he git killed? Did he used to live down in Souf'eest???
  13. You act as if their mass killing of women and children are NOT part of their strategy and are NOT intended targets.
  14. Troy thanks for that video, it provides even MORE information I hadn't heard in the general media about him telling his partner to not even give her aid after shooting her. Perhaps the biggest mistake our sista made was apologizing AFTER rebuking that damn demon. Perhaps she should have rebuked him and left it at that. But again, I have to ask..... Justice starts IN THE FAMILY. The son looks to be still just a boy, but our beautiful sista had the father of her child who presumably had SOME sort of feelings for her as well as her father. 2 adult males in her life. What did THEY do to bring justice for our sista? Why should the entire Black community suit up and go out on the war path for the honor of this sista when the so-called men in her OWN FAMILY aren't doing it? And I can ask that question, not just for this particular incident but for MOST of the incidents that occured before this one! Breonna Taylor had a daddy. Had men in her family. Sandra Bland had a daddy. Had men in her family. What the hell were THEY doing in response to their sister/daughter/mother being killed????
  15. As I said before, I prefer her over Trump....however one of the things I don't like about Kamala achieving the highest office in the land is the image it gives Black girls. When you look at her, and that other SCOTUS Justice they just put on, it tells Black girls that if they want to to be successful and rise to the top....let go of them Black men and marry yourself a White man. Leave them loud mouthed ashy ass niccaz behind and get yourself a nice quiet zaddy with education (and preferably some money) who'll just stand by your side and smile as you achieve your dreams.
  16. ProfD 🤫 Shhhh---you better be quiet, LOL. Man.....I try so hard not to call her that. I was about to call Candace one, then I said.....naw, lol. 🤔Or maybe I did already and forgot about it? Speaking of wench which......Candace is another one who doesn't want to use the last name of her husband. They only want to get rid of the people. The land is the prize. Yeah, I was reading an article where Elon Musk or Gates or one of these billionaires actually wants Gaza because it's sea-side property and they want to build some resort complexes there or something. Don't you think for one second there aren't some sell-out Palestinians who would be more than willing to shake hands with corporatists and sell off their ancestral land for a profit! Black folks could learn a lesson from it too. There's a WHOLE LOT of lessons Black folks need to learn before graduating to that level. When it comes to learning lessons, we're still in Elementary School. What the Israelis are doing in Gaza....as devastating as it is...is still surgical and strategic. They hit "this" while preserving "that". That takes discipline. Contrast THAT with some clown being dissed by a girl at a block party and riding by in his hoopty and spraying up the WHOLE the street. The only thing that stops him is his gat jamming up. Later on that night.....miss piss-ass who actually diss him is at home in bed (or at somebody else's home in somebody else's bed); while 5 people are dead and 35 are laying up in the hospital over the incident. No discipline. No precision. No code of ethics. No sense.
  17. Some call him an ambulance chaser, but I personally applaud brother Crump for what he's doing. Is he getting "justice" for the victims? Some would argue not. But who else CAN get justice for them besides their own family members? It's not Crump's job or responsibility to pull up on violent racists and deal with them. He's not even a CRIMINAL prosecutor, he's a CIVIL lawyer. A lot of people I go back and forth with over him don't understand the difference. He can't get anybody locked up because he only deals with Civil suits, not criminal ones where people can get imprisoned. He's doing HIS part....which is using his power as an attorney to win battles in the court room and get as much money as he can for the families of these victims. ....I ain't mad at him.
  18. I'm not quite sure what our brother hopes to achieve by holding these yearly "Rally For Reparations" events. These events are good to have someplace to go and socialize, but they're not going to sway too many people on one side or the other. Everybody who is against us receiving Reparations will STILL likely be against it no matter how many rallies he holds. If he's doing it to get the attention of politicians....they already know about our desire for Reparations. This isn't telling them anything new.
  19. ProfD Jews are taking an eye for eye multiplied. Kill one of them and lose 33 of your own. The point is Black folks could learn a lesson or three from the Jew in response to being attacked I hear (read...lol) what you're saying, however.... They are being supplied the TOOLS to taking those eyes out, by Western powers. If it were them alone, versus the Palestinians....a lot of THEM would be stumbling around without eyes themselves. But they're getting help from their brothers in America, England, Canada and other nations to pluck them eyes. Like Chevdove said, they are getting international support from other nations outside the region. Where is OUR "America" or "Germany" or "West" who would help us or come to our aid against these racists if we decided to do the same? Matter of fact.... Can we even count on EACHOTHER? Look at all the niggas running around in red MAGA hats supporting Trump and pushing right-wing talking points. As soon as you start talking about police brutality, here comes some nigga with a Trump cap on his head talking about: "Yeah but what about Chicago? What yall doing 'bout all dem killins in Chicago???" Chev Yes but, it would be good if it would be an act of war and not an act of Black men being killed off though. We need help from other countries too, like Africa or something. What if I told you that SOME of these Africans would not only NOT come to our aid, but would actually aid the RACISTS in trying to eliminate America's current Black population....hoping THEY would be able to come here and take the place? We are actually in a position to HELP OURSELVES if our people had the right mentality. Nobody is physically stopping us from joining these police departments and policing our own communities and rising in the ranks, except not having the desire to do so. Like I said earlier, Illinois has enough Black folks in it that no way JUST white men should have shown up at our sista's home. There should have been atleast one Black officer there. That alcoholic White man JOINED the police department so that he could do what he wanted to do. He wasn't recruited. The government didn't force him or any other White man to join and get the training....they WANTED to do it. The question is, why don't most Black men have that same desire? Is it my observation solely, or does [did] Sonya Massey, her daughter and her son have Native American traits? Not sure, but if that's the case....a lot of African women are part Native American too because I've seen a mighty lot of women from East and Central Africa who look just like her, lol. Same facial features, same slim build, etc..
  20. I'm not sure what words anybody could offer to ease what that young brutha is going through. During the interview, the young man said that he dropped his father off at work. I haven't followed the "follow up" of this story too closely, but have we heard much from him? We've heard from the son, and Sonya's father....but what about this man she was/is involved with?
  21. They are doing it just to do it, because it's probably not going to stop the Palestinians from seeking revenge in the future. As long as there are....10 of them left...they will probably retaliate to some degree. I don't say that as some sort of badge of honor for the Palestinians btw... I don't necessarily find their mindset honorable. They are driven in part be religious fervor. The belief that they are righteous, that "God is on their side" ....despite their high death toll, and that the Jews are the evil ones. That belief drives many of them to be bold and daring even when they continue to lose battle after battle and as you say their women and children are slaughtered infront of them. What we as AfroAmericans need to do is FIRST start accepting Reality for what it is, that collectively White Americans have the technology and are smarter and this is the main reason they can dominate and mistreat our people so much. Then figure out a way to get smarter ourselves so that we can defend ourselves and be less vulnerable. Being highly religious and tying rags around our heads jumping from roofs to roofs ain't going to do it. First step is MORE of us need to be in Law Enforcement, at all levels. I was watching some sort of law enforcement show the other day. I don't watch the shit on my own but I was over somebody's house and their children had that shit on and I would catch glimpses of it while we were talking other business but I noticed it had to do with border law enforcement. It was set down somewhere in Arizona and these were Border Patrol agents who's job was to monitor drugs and illegal immigrants coming in, but I was looking at the identity of the agents and MOST OF THEM WERE LATINO. Wait a damn minute! Talk about letting the foxes guard the hen house! A lot of Latinos have BEEN caught on that if you want power in this nation, you have to get into positions like politics and law enforcement where YOU decide who is apprehended and who is set free....who goes to jail and who doesn't. It shouldn't have been two White cops showing up at that sista's house like that. Atleast one should have been a Black man/woman. Actually a FEMALE officer should have shown up as well!
  22. For goooooooood! 🤣 That should become a meme right there....lol
  23. They ARE trying to "clean up" the situation, by literally trying to WIPE Gaza OFF the map. Bounty (the Quicker Picker Upper) could learn lesson from the Israeli military on how to to wipe out entire communities clean, leaving not a spot of them left. Just remember that her husband (Douglass Emhoff....whom she chooses not to use the last name of)....is of those same kind of people over in Israel.
  24. When I hear that name....JD Vance....I think of JD "Boss" Hogg of the Dukes of Hazzard "We're gonna git them Duke Boys one way or another..." I don't know why Kamala married him, however the fact that she's not FBA nor has she chosen to marry into an AfroAmerican family is very telling. It makes me question how strong her emotional and intellectual connection is with us. Now, in fairness...... The fact that she doesn't use her husband's last name is ALSO very telling. Like I said, I think she's better than Trump....but still. If my girl Michelle doesn't change her mind.......uh.....if she doesn't.....and I hope she does....we'll just have to hope she beats Trump by a landslide and see what happens when she gets in office.
  25. Such a beautiful sista too. Delicate looking and lady like. I didn't realize she was only 36 at first because she carried herself so much more mature, but not in an "old" way but....reserved and mature. Not that ANY sista deserves that, but she wasn't ratchet or loud or obnoxious. Presumably religious and lady like in her demeanor. Even as that beast pointed the gat at her, her response was an APOLOGY....almost brings me to tears thinking about it because it's typical of how someone helpless and afraid might react. Perhaps she SHOULDN'T have apologized for rebuking that goddam devil. But anyway, back to the points you were making............ Expecting some of these blunt smoking red-eyed niggas to unite and stand up against these racist beasts is like expecting squirrels to rise up and storm the supermarket and snatch their own nuts and food from humans. Sure it's PHYSICALLY possible, but do they have the intellectual capacity to do it? From what I understand, our beautiful sista has both a father and a son. It starts with THEM. How far should THEY have gone to seek justice for their daughter/mother being taken out by a race soldier? If THEY aren't willing to take the first step to avenge the death of their daughter/mother, should others be expected to? I'm not going to say it here, but I know what I would have done if I found out one of them had killed MY daughter. No White man's "selective" law....where some felons get locked up and others get to fly around the country making speeches....would have stopped me either!
