  1. ProfD Some say their faith in Christianity helped them make it through, other's say that that same faith was a detriment to the community. That same "faith" prevented many of the men (or encouraged the women to DISCOURAGE the boys and men) from committing acts of desperation that would either have gotten the entire community killed....or free.
  2. ........so you won't accuse me of "lying" and "making up" things on you later on, lol.
  3. Troy Being born of racist is about as likely as being “born” a Methodist. People aren't born Methodists, but human beings ARE born predisposed to being religious. Most humans have a natural inclination towards ritual also. When I say "born" racist I mean having a natural or innate inclination towards that mentality that increases and matures with natural development. Kind of like a sexual orientation. I can guarantee you’ve never raised children in a multicultural environment. You better not bet money on it.....lol. I have and I am...lol. I've raised children in a Black environment and I'm currently raising (and no I'm not married...lol) children in a mixed or multiracial/multicultural environment. Not only have I seen elements of "colorism" and "featurism" among THEM that they've picked up from other AfroAmerican kids raised in a household without love for self -that we've had to constantly correct and eliminate; but now that we're in a more "multiracial/multicultural" environment it's even worse because we have to counter and eliminate the low self esteem that comes from constantly being in an environment where most of the players don't look like them. And when they've brought White and Latino friends home, I could CLEARLY see the racist tendencies in these kids and how they acted. Just hanging around Black kids didn't mean they weren't racist. Dude, we live in a white racist culture that is the reason racism exists, but it’s on a decline. the country is not nearly as racist at once was. Is that a fact? If so, do you think a person like Donald Trump could have gotten elected 30 years ago in the 90s? Do you think a President would have been able to call a entire group of Black people "garbage" or Black nations "shit hole countries" 30 years ago?
  4. When the Witnesses come knocking at my door I don't hide from them or pretend I'm not home, I INVITE THEM IN...lol. Make some tea or coffee and invite them for a religious discussion. By the time the water gets hot or the coffee is finished brewing....they're usually down the street knocking on somebody else's door and looking back at me smiling and quickly looking in another direction...LOL. 😝
  5. That explains why you're not religious. Perhaps you haven't been in a situation that you couldn't see your way out of and lost hope. Those type of situations often drive people to drugs, alcohol, or religion as a way to escape the frustration of not being able to deal with the situation.
  6. Hey! I hear yall muthafuckaz talkin' out there! Yall ain't hidin' SHIT from me OR Dolemite! That nigga go find out ONE way ah'nutha! Fuckin' with that narcotic... ((ruffles papers then points at Dolemita)) And I'm tellin' ya now gull...you 'bouta fuck up BIG TIME. Hear me? You 'bouta make the whole BLOCK hot with that shit! We go have to MOVE again! These niggaz have enough trouble tryna function as it IS....shit . 'specially after smoking that fake ass high octane weed they be firin' up. Now that got damn narcotic you pushin' go REALLY fuck'em up! Have these niggaz staggerin' around Watts like a fuckin' Zombie movie! They go call it The Walking Junkies......."
  7. ProfD I remember having a conversation with you a while back about musicians, drug use, and creativity.....and you stating that you didn't use drugs and didn't need it for your musical abilities. Not that you're not already honest, but be PERFECTLY honest.....lol...... Does it bother you at all that some dude with a Crack or Heroin problem and has been on the shit for years but was born with some sort of talent can come up in a studio and make a HIT song or even album and a shit load of money on it? Get all that money. Fuck all of it up in dope. Then do it all over again next year? *PS Man, if you say "no"....I'm going to question whether YO' ass is human or AI....lol
  8. ProfD That's what I get for having a lazy moment....lol. Something told me to GOOGLE Chaka before posting that.....lol. Man, these sistaz....... But BLACK MEN are the ones who get criticized.
  9. I too have some relatives, some friends, and some acquaintances who fit this description also. Some of whom are more financially well off than I am. Many of them were also more socially successful. Able to talk their way into any type of relationship be it financial, sexual, social, business, etc.; like you said...not while they're high....but when they were sober. Again, this didn't describe MOST of the alcoholics or addicts that I knew and know...but a percentage of them. I'd say less than 10% of the alcoholics and drug addicts that I knew were high achievers in something. But the vast majority of them fell into the NORMAL range of intellect. On the flip side, there are plenty of people with Autism and Retardation who never drank, use drugs, or smoked a cigarette....but this didn't improve their intellect. At the risk of sounding a bit jealous...... Although I don't think they were necessarily rewarded for doing the "wrong" thing, it's a bit confusing and frustrating at how some people who constantly do the "wrong" thing can end up in a better position than those who supposedly did the "right" thing. We do know that excessive drugs and alcohol kills off braincells. So I'm wondering did they have an excess amount of "disposable" braincells or something that they could afford to fuck them up and STILL have a well functioning brain...lol.
  10. They could have them too. One doesn't have enough ass and the other sounds too much like a man. I'll let you decide who fits which description...lol But if they would have taken CHAKA KHAN..... That would have been WAR...lol
  11. "Matthew Lawrence had a second chance at love with Chilli. 'I wouldn’t have been ready for this type of relationship in my early 20s. No way,' Lawrence, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly while discussing his upcoming Hallmark+ reality series, Second Chance Love. Lawrence and Chilli, 54, will serve as cohosts and executive producers for the show, which was filmed on location in Sardinia, Italy. Second Chance Love sees five couples reunite for a rare second chance with the one that got away. Lawrence and Chilli (real name Rozonda Thomas) bring an authentic perspective to the show, as they found love with each other after previously experiencing heartbreak in past relationships." Matthew Lawrence Reflects on Finding Love With Chilli Later in Life | Us Weekly .....it's over. They could have Serena. They could have Halle Berry. But when they start snatching up Venus Williams and Chilli.....the game is obviously rigged. it's time for a RESET....lol. Come on @Chevdove! When is the next comet or asteroid scheduled to hit the planet? It's time for a NEW Earth and a NEW System
  12. ProfD As I alluded to above, even with abuse znd misuse of drugs, other than overdose and death, drug abusers still maintain their faculties when they're not high. Right. Having been around a number of drug addicts, they might do weird sh8t but they're not intellectually deficient. I find this somewhat amazing. I've been seeing this since I was a kid. So many people who've been abusing dope and alcohol for years yet still remain smart, witty, and sociable. Drug and alcohol abuse does mess up other organs over time. It just doesn't seem to impair the brain in such a way to render someone a vegetable. It appears that the liver is the organ most damaged by excessive dope and alcohol abuse since it's the main poison filter in the body, but other organs are also affected. How long did it take for you to realize Santa Claus wasn't real? I believed right up until my Father broke the news to me one day when I was sitting on the floor playing...lol. I had to be around 4 or 5 and I was asking him about something concerning Santa Claus and he was standing in the bathroom getting dressed to go to work and broke the news to me STRAIGHT...no chaser...lol. I took it pretty well though. "Santa Claus" didn't always get me what I wanted anyway, so I wasn't too disappointed that he didn't exist....lol. Capitalistic society is perfectly fine with building wealth on it but doesn't want to encourage drug and alcohol usage. Perhaps among certain groups or "classes" of people they actually do. If people are "too sober", they'll start actually DEALING with their problems head on and solving them instead of just anesthetizing their pain and frustration through substance abuse. The new thing now is ENERGY DRINKS...lol. Those seem to be more addictive than Crack with most people.
  13. Dolemita said: "You really do live in a world of make-believe, don't you? You're like a kid playing with a train set, only this ain't no game suga' We playin' with fire stashing all this dope in these bee hives. That loud suit wearin' jive ass nigga GO find out, sooner or later. And when the shit hits the fan.... When the action REALLY goes down.... I know where I'll be. But do you?"
  14. ProfD Damn... Benson and Hedges IS far back. Back when you could by cigarettes from VENDING machines....lol. Right next to the Velamints....lol
  15. Some racists are that way from indoctrination and experiences in life, but I think some people are BORN racist. It has little to nothing to do with how they were raised or what they were taught. If you were to put them in an isolated or ideal environment where racism didn't exist....they'd START manifesting racist tendencies anyway. They may feel frustrated, angry, or uncomfortable around other groups of people who don't look like them but since no system exists to justify or articulate to them WHY they feel the way they do...they'd just be confused. The sex urge is natural, you don't have to be taught it. HOW to use it....yes...but the feeling itself...no. So a person raised in the wild will STILL have a sex urge even though there are no people around to teach them what it is or HOW it should be displayed. What we think of as being "taught" racism is often times merely a REFINEMENT of already inherent racist tendencies in the individual. Teaching a racist HOW to be a "better" or more effective racist. Again...... I'm not saying ALL racists fit this description, but I believe many if not most of them do. It's far too widespread for it not to be genetic or inherent at some basic level.
  16. Lol.... The word jive is about as "current" as VIGINIA SLIM cigarettes.
  17. Oh, this isn't even the movie yet; just the TRAILER to it.....lol. Why would I put any sincere effort into a parody just for someone lurking to steal, take the credit, and make money off of it? I put out just enough to keep the "audience" entertained...lol. And keep YOU guessing and on alert from time to time for any slights that might be directed towards you....lol.
  18. They say hundreds of thousands if not millions of people have actually signed up to be ICE agents to help with the deportation.
  19. It's real. However the question is HOW is it actually built....vs...the rhetoric and propaganda put out to distract and confuse the masses about how wealth is accumulated. For example..... How do we know that most self-made billionaires and multi-millionaires didn't do it as a result of magic or witchcraft?
  20. ProfD IMO, drug usage does not prevent a *normally* developed brain from absorbing and retaining information. This seems to line up with most of my observations as well. Keep in mind though, I'm specifically talking about the ABUSE of drugs or MISUSE of drugs. Not necessarily their proper usage for medical purposes or even "moderate" use of street drugs. Drugs and alcohol will temporarily impair a person's ability to making logical decisions and/or control their physical actions. Which is puzzling as to why they don't usually cause "permanent" or severe impairment with long term use. Broken legs usually heal. However how many people can repeatedly break their legs over and over again without eventually becoming a cripple? Apparently, there is no longer term neurological damage as a result of drug use because lifetime drug users operation just fine when they are not *high*. With most long term hard drug abusers, I can tell a difference in the way they move and interact with people. But still, usually no type of intellectual decline that could be compared to someone with...say....Down Syndrome On a side note...POTUS OJ just signed an executive order making cannabis a schedule 3 drug. I believe that puts the US steps closer to federalizing weed usage. Well.... Being the populist that he is, he just did that to increase his popular support. You have millions of weed heads out there who could give less than a fuck about politics but if they think Trump is going to legalize Marijuana then he's "their man"....lol. I've wondered about this for a long time, even as a kid. How can some people abuse alcohol and drugs yet be smart, popular, and make enough money to get rich. It didn't make a lot of sense to me. Eventually it dawned on me that it actually DID make sense....it was a lie. Perhaps they should start telling children the truth about things like drug and alcohol abuse. Stop saying things like it "fries" or "melts" your brain, when it actually doesn't and most people can clearly see that it doesn't.
  21. I'm sure most of you have grown up seeing those public service announcements and commercials warning you of the dangers of drug use. How dangerous it and what it does to your brain and body. Remember the dude who used to crack open eggs and fry them in skillets talking about "this is your brain on drugs"....lol. I know that much of the drugs out on the streets are harmful and the negative effects and consequences are clearly observable. However one consequence or negative effect doesn't seem to be quite as observable: INTELLECTUAL IMPAIRMENT. If routine drug abuse supposedly "fries" the brain and ruins it, why aren't most long term drug users retarded or severely intellectually disabled? You know people who've been smoking crack or using heroine for years. You can usually tell by their emotional instability that they're "off" or have some sort of problem, but most of them aren't "stupid" as such. They can hold conversations, be social, hold jobs, scam, cheat, come up with lies. Things the average retarded/intellectually disabled person can't do. There are many musicians, entertainers, actors, and even professionals in the academic world who are addicted and have spent YEARS abusing cocaine and heroin. Why are they still able to think well and perform well and maintain their professions and even families? Retarded and "slow" people can't do that. Most people you knew as slow or intellectually disabled growing up couldn't even reach that level anyway. I'm interested in hearing OPINIONS (because I know most of you aren't medical experts) on why years of rampant drug use by most people doesn't seem to severely damage their intellect.
  22. 🙄 Lol...when did you post this???? I don't remember seeing it when I logged off earlier today. ProfD That was not the question though. As an employee, would you be feel the same way. Actually, it depends on my job AS an employee. If I were an actor, maybe....maybe not. However if I were one of the engineers and designers incharge OF doing the AI portion of the film...I'd love it. It is wrong to cheat the younger generation out of similar opportunities using technology. I suppose the same argument could have been made 120 years ago against the movie industry too. I'm sure a lot of actors and actresses in Vaudeville were forced into an early retirement by the up and coming motion picture industry. Like you say so often, people have to learn to adapt. When it comes to business and business decisions, it's not always easy to assign a moral value to them. However, if he had employed someone who looked like him, another Black man would have been able to get paid too. Or....in other movies that he DIDN'T produce/direct...that same look-a-like Black man probably would have taken his spot half the time. Remember, more competition also. You have to look at it from both perspectives.
  23. Some people are like fine wine and get better with age and maturity. MC Lyte is certainly one of them.
  24. Elon Musk has gone his own way. Margerine Turned Green has divorced herself from Trump And now Dan "almost Black" Bongino has announced his almost abrupt departure. Looks like his family is breaking up.....lol.
  25. I know all of that. Well....everything except the Dancing With The Stars "Jive" category....lol. I haven't followed the show in a while. Other than that, you haven't taught me anything. But I bet I can teach YOU something. The word "jive" really came from a play on the word "jibberish". Often times when White folks heard us talk....the slang, style, and cadence....they would refer to it as jibberish. We started calling it JIBE which evolved into JIVE. There you go. No need to thank me....lol.
