I apologize but.....apparently in all of this you wrote I missed THE EXAMPLE that I asked for of a "tolerant" person who is violent.

ProfD One could argue that if the Pope was either "doing his job" or "effective" in whatever job he was doing, there would be NO NEED for him or anyone else to continue going around the world doing missionary work. Perhaps initially, but after the first round....the problem is solved and there is no need for it. The fact that there are so many poor people around the world and so many wars and the NEED for so much prayer is a sign of how ineffective some of these pontiffs have been.

Well I'm not the smartest guy in the world so I probably didn't catch it, so help me out with his answer....lol. Did he say YES....a person's brain and chemistry CAN be manipulated to affect their sexual orientation, or NO....it can NOT be? Because that was MY question to him. Which one was his answer?
-
Troy You skipped over all my questions @Pioneer1. now you demanding I answer yours. What questions did you ask me that I skipped over? And again..... My question for you (which has nothing to do with race) is: If sexuality and sexual orientation are functions of the human brain and chemistry....can't the brain and chemistry be manipulated to cause or influence it?

Is Society Becoming Too Complex/Complicated?
Pioneer1 replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
And in my opinion, society should be structured to reflect these facts. Don't make things too complicated and don't give people too much information they don't need to know or can't understand and then turn around and penalize them for not being able to deal with it. The U.S. tax system is a good example of this. Delano Compared to the past. Isn't that generally going to be true. Not sure. Emerson said that societies often tend to wax and wane when it comes to advancement. Most people think that societies evolve linearly but in many cases a society may advance for 200 years only to end or go backwards 500 years and remain in that condition for centuries more. Wars and religious reformations often causes societies to go "backwards" in terms of science and technology. Do you find society too complicated or complex. Some aspects of it, yes. Something as simple as starting a businesses. 150 years ago...in America...all you needed was an idea and a product and you could stand on the side of a road or street corner and peddle your wares. Today, you have to apply for this, apply for that, get a license, pay taxes on what you make, fill out these forms to show the government what you've been doing. Can ONE person of average intelligence do all that while still running their business? Usually no. Usually they have to hire others to do it for them. Also how would you define complicated and complex. Complicated and complex are similar but separate concepts. In my opinion complicated is something that is subjectively hard or difficult; on the other hand complex is something with a lot of intricacies. -
Not only is this disappointing but it's a good example of what's wrong in THIS world and why the people really DO need a "Messiah" to come and straighten things out....lol. No matter how much violence and bloodshed is going on, as long as the media can keep the people focused on near meaningless rituals and traditions that don't help a damn thing....many REAL problems are less likely to get solved. Despite all of the wars going on around the world from Gaza to Ukraine to Pakistan to Congo...... Despite the violence going on in the city of Chicago itself, and Memorial Day Weekend is right around the corner....... The focus is on the conclave and who the next "do nothing" Pope will be or where the new is from and what is his background. For what? What is he going to do to solve the problems of the world? What did the OTHER Popes before him do to solve the problems of the world? The Chicago Sun-Times is focused on the new Pope and where he's from but they NEED to be focused on the bloody weekend coming up and how to solve THAT problem.....for a change.

.....or you can simply AGREE with me for once....lol.....and acknowledge my point about Ben Crump making Black folks millionaires instead of going out of your way to argue against it.

Troy Yes, race and ethnicity are two different things. You will find the word race used all over the place, but that does not mean that is has a basis in science. If it's being used in an official manner in scientific literature (as in the above article for example), it does. You just refuse to accept it. It is purely a social construct. And???? I skimmed the article, did you see the description "Hispanic" used? What "race" are Hispanics? They're made up of many races and combinations of races. Racism, and all that comes along with it (i.e. white superiority), will continue as long as enough people embrace race. And people will continue to embrace the concept of race as long as it remains a Reality. Delano How can we live in a racist society of racism doesn't exist Good question. And how can "racism" exist if there are no races???

By most accounts WW3 should have taken place already. WW2 started within 30 years of WW1 and people were expecting a Nuclear War through out the 70s and 80s, then all of a sudden tensions died down. Like the conspiracy theorists say, perhaps there really IS a "global government" because you don't have these many "on the brink of WW3" occurrences without it actually happening, unless someone is orchestrating it. How many times has the so-called "dooms day clock" been ticked up and ticked back?

They claim his maternal GRANDPARENTS were Mulatto..... I'd hardly call that a "brother"...lol. There are Italians with Blacker ancestry than him. BLACK is Black. Not 1/4 or 1/8 or even 1/2 in MY opinion. If you're not atleast 3/4....we're calling you something else.

Shannon. Sharpe. What's. Going. On. ???
Pioneer1 replied to harry brown's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Troy There you go again using your "personal experience" as your only evidence again. Personal experience wasn't my "only" evidence. Even when it comes to the entertainment industry, the only celebrities I knew named "shannon" were female. Shannon Doherty Shannon Tweed Etc.... Despite all the evidence to the contrary, you will still hold onto a demonstrably false idea... incorrigible. Perhaps it's because I'm wondering why so much evidence was presented just to TRY to prove me wrong in this case instead of simply agreeing with me that in this society "shannon" is pretty much a girl's name. I may be wrong, but I think there should have been more AGREEMENT with my assertion than pushback...especially from other people born and raised in the same society I was. ProfD came closer than anybody in acknowledging that Shannon is a name used mostly for females in this society, however generally everyone....except me...doesn't seem to see anything wrong with naming a Black boy "shannon". And I admit, it IS a bit frustrating. -
That's not the question I asked you.

frankster Not all tolerant people are Non-violent Man, what???? Ok, so can you please give me an example of someone who was tolerant but violent? There is a limit to toleration beyond which it will be forsaken for violence.... For most people there may be a limit to "toleration" on a particular issue but a TOLERANT person is tolerant in nearly all issues if it's part of their nature. Also along those lines, a person who commits violence doesn't necessarily mean they ARE violent. It could have been an exceptional thing that rarely happens. So in that regard a tolerant person CAN commit violence under rare circumstances but a tolerant person is NOT a VIOLENT person. Right Now I cannot have enuff. Michael Jackson said then DON'T STOP 'till you get enough...lol. It always does.... You're wrong, plain and simple. I express angry feelings like threats which can result in someone having an heart attack out of sheer shock or fear That would be included in PHYSICAL violence in my opinion. However going around accusing someone of cheating on their spouse is "harming" their reputation but doesn't involve physical violence would be a better example. Again.... It's "harmful" but not violent. Run all you want it is clear to me what you meant... Clarity is often a feature of the deluded mind. Some people are "clear" that they are Jesus Christ, although they are living in their mother's basement. Nigga talking about he can "raise the dead" and can't even raise dead flies...lol. Show where he said black folks are mor hateful or violent than white folks... Why should I when he hasn't? You have yet to provide a link stating that Africans are more violent....please On this question also, why should I when I haven't said such a thing? That says nothing about blacks being more malicious/violent....than anybody. I repeat...NEITHER HAVE I. 1. You said malicious/violent, while in my quote I clearly said "malicious"...no mention of being more violent. You take my words out of context to TRY to paint a false narrative. 2. Furthermore, I used "malicious" in the context of our people GROUPING UP TOGETHER to oppose and attack eachother more so than Caucasians. Not that we are malicious or violent than them in general, but TEND to be more malicious when it comes to grouping up to going against and opposing eachother. YOUR Bible advises you that with all thy getting....get UNDERSTANDING.

Yet you can't seem to refrain from engaging me.....lol. Well anyway, I was right in that the sentence I highlighted DOES infact contain all the letters to your name even though I apparently focused on the wrong sentence. Anyway...... "Consuelo" ????? *I hope you're just joking. With that "o" at the end instead of an "a", "Consuelo" sounds like a BOY'S name. Unless.....you're really an Alphabet Community trailblazer....lol.

You may be right. The fighting going on between Russia and Ukraine has been raging for atleast 3 years now and so far it's pretty much contained between those 2 nations (unless you want to include North Korea) when I thought it would have spread by now. I'm actually convinced that there is SOME sort of "power" actively preventing things from spreading and getting out of hand because historically speaking...several events that SHOULD have jumped off WW3, just simply petered out and...back to business as usual.

Shannon. Sharpe. What's. Going. On. ???
Pioneer1 replied to harry brown's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Yes but Shannon Sharpe ain't Scottish or Irish and neither was his parents, so why in the hell would his mother give him a name MOSTLY given to girls in this society? Michelle (or atleast how it's pronounced) is a male's name IN FRENCH but in ENGLISH it's a female's name. So any mother who would name her son "Michelle" in the United States is setting the boy up for ridicule later on...lol. She should know better. Quincy???? When did THAT become gender neutral....lol???? I have yet to meet a female "Quincy". -
Shannon. Sharpe. What's. Going. On. ???
Pioneer1 replied to harry brown's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
There are men who use women's restrooms too. That doesn't mean it's not a WOMEN'S RESTROOM. There are men who wear dresses and miniskirts, but in THIS society dresses are still considered WOMEN'S CLOTHING. Yes there are exceptions, but there are also generalities that we SHOULD be able to agree on. -
Will the real Donald Trump please stand up
Pioneer1 replied to aka Contrarian's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Right This was one of the reasons. But to be real, a lot of MALE police officers feel free to do the same thing when it comes to BLACK female suspects. -
Really? Who? Certainly not SCIENCE Check out an excerpt from this article out about the disparities between the RACES when it comes to Diabetes: Racial and Ethnic Disparities in Diabetes Mellitus Diabetes mellitus (DM) has a disproportionately higher impact on minority communities in the United States (US). Presently, 13% of the general adult population in the US has diabetes. Figure 1 illustrates the notable variation in diabetes prevalence among racial and ethnic groups in the US. The data informing the graph, as depicted in Figure 1, were sourced from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s National Diabetes Statistics Report 2020 Health and Racial Disparities in Diabetes Mellitus Prevalence, Management, Policies, and Outcomes in the United States - PMC Not only does it mention RACIAL disparities acknowledging that there are more than one races, but it says racial AND ethnic, which clearly establishes that race and ethnicity are NOT synonymous and that race in and of itself is recognized apart from ethnicity.

Both of these countries are nuclear powers, and they're trading blows right now as we speak. Is World War 3 about to break out? Even though neither nation is technically "white", anything that threatens major and massive destruction on a global scale is a potential threat to White racist hegemony because of it's destablizing effects on the global economy and infrastructure. You KNOW it's serious because earlier this morning the war was on every media outlet. India hit Pakistan with missiles and airstrikes and Pakistan shot down several Indian fighter jets. That was this morning. Now a hot war between two nuclear powers is 5th or 6th down the story line behind who Trump decided NOT to nominate to his cabinet, and in many cases not even talked about at all which means they're PURPOSELY trying to downplay what's happening to prevent panic. I remember during the 2020 riots over George Floyd when independent social media influencers were showing nearly HALF of Minneapolis on fire...you didn't hear a PEEP out of CNN or NBC or ABC about what was happening on the streets. I think Fox New reported fires being set in the city but minimized it to dumpsters or something and then went on to talk about Covid lockdowns. The policy of the main stream media was to talk about anything EXCEPT the obvious news that should be talked about, until the riots became so widespread that they couldn't cover it up or keep it suppressed any longer. I suspect it's the same with this.

Oh, my bad.... When it said "this sentence" I thought it was talking about the sentence above it....not the sentence itself. Perhaps it DOES say something about my intellect....lol.

I'm not talking about an INDUSTRY like the NFL or NBA, I'm talking about an INDIVIDUAL or atleast his law firm.

Lol....good point.
