  1. In reality, the "New Year" shouldn't begin in January...but sometime in March or April. On January 1st, Winter is just getting started and a lot of animals are hibernating and plant life is dying. How the hell is that a "new year"??? Around the end of March is when things start to thaw out, RENEW, and REJUVENATE, and the land turns green again. That's when the "new" year should start, in my opinion. But all it takes is some slim White man in a top hat and a cane to TELL you "Happy New Year"....and you're half drunk spilling drinks all over the damn place celebrating. Some of yall will let these White folks trick you into going along with ANYTHING....lol

  2. The purpose of this post is not to bash capitalism or to advocate Marxism or Communism. As people in America and all over the world know, capitalism has provided a very high standard of living. But, there is a dark side to early capitalism. Before businesses were privately or publicly owned, the government sponsored most forms of merchant activity and international trade. The British chartered the East Indian Trade Company in 1600. Later, it became an joint-stock company. This is an organization in which stocks are bought and sold by shareholders. It became a predecessor to, if not actually the first, major corporation similar to the Fortune 500 companies traded on Wall Street today. b The commodities that the company bought and sold were cotton, sugar, tea, and spices. But, more controversial, it traded in slaves and Opium. These slaves were sent to North American colonies. This helped to create the Southern plantation system in America. Some of the wealthiest people in America between the colonial period and the Civil War were planters and slaveholders. The North in the US was by no means innocent of slavery. Before the Revolution, the North also had slaves. But, after Independence, human chattel slowly died out. But, textile mills, which depended heavily on Southern cotton, were established. Merchants and shippers from the northern coasts often sold cotton to overseas buyers. . As a result, financial institutions were established in the North to fund these businesses that revolved around slavery. These institutions included the early beginnings of Lehman Brothers, Aetna Inc, Jp Morgan Chase, and New York Life. It is estimated that 40 percent of New York's cotton revenue came indirectly through sources related to physical slavery. The continental railroad system and the steamboat industry were established to transport cotton, sugar, and other Southern crops to different parts of the country. This would build the fortunes of post-antebellum, Gilded Age tycoons like Cornelius Vanderbilt, the great-great-great grandfather of CNN journalist Anderson Cooper. A similar situation took place in Britain. The British East Indian Company also sold slaves to Britain. Although slavery was abolished in England in 1833, thanks to the efforts of William Wilberforce, Britain still depended on Southern cotton imported from America for its textile businesses. The textile spinning would become the premiere industry of the Industrial Revolution. Over the next 100 years, the Industrial Revolution would expand to other businesses across Britain, western Europe, and America that depended on natural resources such as iron, timber, copper, coal, and petroleum(oil and gas). The financial institutions who were responsible for funding these businesses were Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Lloyd's of London, and Barclays. Overall, I would say that slavery was just as indispensable to capitalism then as the fossil fuel industry is today. More than just the transportation sector depends on oil companies for gasoline, diesel, and kerosene to run cars, trucks, and planes. Plastics are derived from the by products of oil and gas. Petrochemicals are also used to make some of the ingredients in soaps, detergents, polishes, deodorants, synthetic fibers, paints, rubbers, fertilizers, etc. Certainly, too many to name. Even the the moral arguments made by abolitionist against planters/slaveholders are very similar to the ones made by environmentalist/climate activist against the fossil fuel industry. Slavery was considered abuse and degradation of human beings. The emissions that are produced by the fossil fuels industry(oil, gas, and coal) are considered abuse and degradation to the environment by contributing to global warming. I guess this is the reason why many extreme pro-black, social justice activist, and far left woke militants are calling for an end to capitalism as we know it, possible to be replaced by socialism or Marxism. But, capitalism is changing anyway. Today, it is morphing in to what Klaus Swab of the World Economic Forum has termed a "Fourth Industrial Revolution." This is basically a digital revolution based off of IT, Artificial Intelligence, algorithms, big data, and cloud storage of information. Also included would be electric/self driving cars from alternative sources of clean energy including wind and solar. The more pejorative term to describe these changes would be a technocracy. Others, maybe including Klaus Swab himself and Prince Charles(now King Charles), refer to it as part of a Great Reset. e

  5. LOL If Americans had been humane to begin with, there wouldn't have been any slavery. You can't lose something that you never had. Which came first? The chicken or the egg? "Man's inhumanity to man" didn't begin in America.

  6. These are the 5 things that only good parents will be interested in. 01. Are the children well fed? required. prevents many other problems 02. Are their clothes suitable for their task? required. prevents many other problems 03. Is the place we live secure and safe? required. prevents many other problems REQUIRED 04. Is my parenting sufficient to cultivate within this precious human being that I love; the knowledge, understanding, and comprehension, with all of its due respect, to and for those things that are important? IS THE PREREQUISITE FOR; Such as respecting their elders? Which allows them to gain experience and cultivate wisdom. Respecting their peers? Which teaches them when to lead and when to follow. As well as teaching my children how to acclimate to a persons feelings, be considerate, and when required helpful when needed. Completing their assigned tasks? In school this will assist and support what I, the parent am doing at home. While the home schooling will propel my children forward academically, with scholarships and internships. Being mentally able to manage conflict? Teaching my child how to think about the way they are feeling before reacting to their feelings. Controlling their emotions instead of being controlled by their emotions. Being emotionally able to manage their own self? Making sure that my children wont be emotionally vulnerable and capable of being manipulated when they are in any highly charged emotional state. Being physically capable of managing an assault? Feeding my child good nutritious food and drink to promote their body while always making sure they are aware of their own bodies abilities through activities like helping around the house, and with household needs, like shopping, and cleaning, not only at home but also at their aunts and uncles, and grandparents homes. PREREQUISITE FOR LIFE ITSELF 05. Are my children at the proper level of intelligence to qualify for the things in LIFE they choose to pursue? Always listening to what my children's goals are and having real conversations with them about what it takes to achieve that goal. This way they will know how hard they need to study or when to make a career choice that involves more or less learning. These 5 things will always guarantee that my child is AWARE of REAL LIFE and how SOCIETY functions These 5 concerns of a parent will through their own virtue insure and almost absolutely guarantee; That no children are bullied, will be getting enough exercise. Are not even remotely interested in drugs. Will immediately be able to get away from, and recognize, any abusers of children, and will be stable in LIFE. The FAILURE of any of those 5 REAL CONCERNS leads to symptomatic outcomes involving hundreds of other things that are 100% preventable ... but the parent already failed. So they are dealing with the failure consequences and still have not identified the problem. THEMSELF being the main problem. A parent that is a failure at parenting will overlook all of the important things about LIFE and only address a situation that has already taken place such as: Top 10 Health Concerns for Children in 2017 (Mott Poll Report) A more accurate title is: WHAT TO DO AFTER HAVING FAILED AS A PARENT Bullying/cyberbullying (61%) preventable Not enough exercise (60%)preventable Unhealthy eating (57%) preventable Drug abuse (56%) preventable Internet safety (55%) preventable Child abuse and neglect (53%) preventable Suicide (45%) preventable Depression (44%) preventable Teen pregnancy (43%) preventable Stress (43%) preventable A Failure parent deals with the symptoms because a failure parent is the problem. It is ALWAYS the parents fault. A failure parent will ALWAYS blame everyone but themselves. Or BLAME EVERYONE ELSE and then add themselves in because they cannot find a way out. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY puts an end to everything on that LOSER FOR A PARENT TOP TEN LIST and any other LOSER LIST which points a finger at everyone else in society while covering and breaking the mirrors. Anyone that cannot take personal responsibility is also to cowardly to do the one thing that will make a difference. Place a loaded gun to their head and pull the trigger. But first they need to take out those miserable human beings they put in the world. A family that failed together dies together. This means we are stuck with cowardly losers LIVING and INTERACTING with people while, every breathing moment they shift responsibility which is theirs onto whoever they can trick into carrying their burden for them.

  8. Know what's funny, I was looking at this Dr. Umar Johnson video the other day and he made a profound statement in it and this read reminded me of that! Check him out between the 14:00 and 16:00 Minute mark: Some of these groups MIGHT be fighting for our Reparations because they know that owning so many businesses in the Black community, it'll make THEM richer too.

  9. @Chevdove I have started reading this post. I had an idea that may be related to what you said about prophecy. If wisdom is hidden in poetry an open heart is more useful than a scientific mind. Which is why devotees seem to function on a different level.

  10. Sure. but.... And this is the problem. I too like the idea of Kwanzaa, but I don't celebrate it either. I wouldn't celebrate Christmas either if it were not for the fact that everyone else around me celebrates it and that is the power of culture - even one is on the same page despite their personal inclinations. Every year millions of families go into debt to finance the holiday, It does not make sense, and is the function of our market-driven culture. The "start" of the New Year is completely arbitrary, so who cares? Your new year can be on your birthday -- it is a new year to you -- and you can celebrate it any way you like
