Mayors and Governors have no control over parole. Governors can and sometimes do commute sentences, but not in great numbers. Mayors have no power to do so. Blacks are simply arrested in greater numbers by law enforcement and often, false testimony and evidence has been employed to imprison them for long terms. The news media, especially, when it's local, will always highlight and exploit criminal acts supposedly committed by Blacks. I guess Nels never heard of the Innocence Project. The views that emanate from this poster's mind reminds me of the nonsense from White racists I contended with for years on countless online Conservative forums. They too, always made mention of Black Crime, which is kind of hilarious since more than 86% of murdered Whites are killed by other White people, according to the Justice Dept. But folks like Nels only want to grouse about killings in Black communities. it's all because for White conservatives and the Blacks who love them, Black people are the main problem. As long as Blacks who love Trump and hate Democrats can frame the debate in terms of Black crime, Black drug addiction, Black families and Black pathology it means they can ignore the spree killers, family massacres, drug addiction and criminal pathology among White people. Russian Jews became wealthy by taking advantage of welfare payouts while running businesses behind the scenes. There are entire Orthodox Jewish towns in Orange County, N.Y., such as Kiryas Joel, where nearly 90% of the residents receive welfare. Go talk to Black residents of these areas and you will discover that I am telling the truth. Does Nels not understand there is no longer a lifetime reliance on social service assistance in many states? That many on welfare have to work? That many are forced to undergo drug testing? Not so for members of "favored" groups. They get to do what they want, including secretly owning companies, hiding outside income, using their homes and other properties and declaring these sites of religious teaching? This means they don't have to pay taxes. Yet, Nels wants to attack Black people? Is this person a plant? An undercover racial terrorist? It is individuals such as Nels and those who like their comments who are dooming Black people. Because they are not helping at all. But they are hurting us. Not all Blacks are criminals. Not all Blacks are uneducated. It is a sin that some Blacks advance a bit, then seek to slam the door on others desperately trying to better themselves. China is dominant in Asia these days and is slowly, but surely making major inroads into controlling the mineral wealth of Black Africa. Arab nations control the oil wealth of the Mid East. The requirement for renewal was put into the Voting Rights Act of 1965 as a sop to the racists simply to get it passed. And the Act was renewed or reauthorized five times with huge bi-partisan majorities. No one expected the Act to fail to be renewed. Here is what killed it. All the voter defections by Bernie Bots in 2016 that put Trump over the top. And he was given the opportunity to appoint three Supreme Court Justices. I warned endlessly about the dangers of voting for third party candidates in the 2016 general election. But so many Bernie supporters were so butt hurt their Socialist candidate didn't win the Dem nomination they embarked on a scorched earth policy to destroy the Democratic Party. They began this with more than 10% voting for Trump in 2016. Once Trump was able to appoint three justices to the High Court, our right to vote was doomed.

I guess that is why Barack Hussein Obama won the White House twice. The first time, enjoying a seven percent victory margin, which is approaching landslide territory. Because both parties wanted to maintain White Supremacy, I know. The economic and political systems we live under usually defy dramatic and immediate change. It took a tremendous cohesive effort to elect Obama just as it took a sickening betrayal by butthurt Bernie Bots to help Trump over the transom. The world is fortunate Trump was defeated in 2020. However, it seems world events and insipid complaints by anxious news writers are conspiring to make Biden appear weak and indecisive. And that is bad news for the people of Ukraine. Because even though most of Western Europe has sworn off battering each other to ruins in wars, the leader of the world's most powerful and frightening military has not.

I actually DO care about what people say. Some folks on here make some incredibly valid points. And some of them alert others to events and issues they may be unaware of. Yeah, we all have opinions and viewpoints. But that does not mean we should malign each other or engage in feuds. I am Democrat and have been since the days of Gerald Ford. I am not a Bernie fan and view him solely as a chief divider of those on the Left. (Not to mention a really grumpy loser). I am not sure if the problem is Criminals Being Released. I believe the real issue is the shutdown of all the mental hospitals years ago these folks should be in. Now, granted, these institutions were poorly run, replete with horrors of abuse and behaviors we would not wish on people who stole from us. But I remember the regional debates about closing them and I think I was in favor of this move - under the belief of giving all folks a chance. However, the mental health crime surge is now a serious and on-going problem and too many innocents are being losing their lives. I feel these institutions need to be reopened.
