  1. As I've mentioned before, Daniellegfny, cannot read that well. The San Francisco Examiner story he linked to is from 2014, eight friggin' years ago! And the group that was apparently handing out crack pipes, the Urban Survivors Network, was a local group based in the Tenderloin District, not attached and completely unaffiliated with any presidential administration. Many of these groups, some of which are still around in other areas, consist of former drug abusers who are trying to reduce the rate of infections and diseases among those still using. But when it comes to Daniellegfny, he never lets truth - or available facts - get in the way of his hysterical bullchit. No, the Biden Administration is not funding crack pipes There seems to be a whole lot of compulsive and deliberate lying going on in this Discussion forum. Pathological lying, also known as mythomania and pseudologia fantastica, is the chronic behavior of compulsive or habitual lying for a definitive reason. In many cases on here, this lying aims to make a cheap political point which can be easily refuted. Damn, grow the f--k up.
  2. What does this dead accused killer have to do with this discussion group? From all accounts, Turnow was the son of German immigrants. How does he fit in with African American Culture, Race or the Economy?
  3. In reply to the query "Should the history of Slavery in (the U.S.) be taught in schools? YES If schools in the U.S. are tasked with teaching Western Civilization, then Chattel Slavery in the United States should definitely be part of that curriculum. Because The Holocaust is definitely taught in schools in many U.S. states. And the U.S. is in the Western Hemisphere. BTW, the reason I prefer not utilizing the term "American" is because it does not always refer to individuals from the U.S. Because all three continents in the western hemisphere carry the surname America. This means factually, Canadians, Mexicans, Panamanians Salvadorans, Colombians, Brazilians, et al, are also Americans. And I believe strongly in whenever possible, making note of the contributions and achievements of indigenous peoples in the Americas.
  4. Daniellefgny, Troy is highlighting an issue that anyone who can read fairly well will have with yourself, Nels and Mzuri. None of you seem to read anything in the links you post. You just rant. I told you that CRT is not being taught in any public grade, intermediate or high school. But you keep insisting it is and then have the nerve to post links which fail to prove your contention. Dude, I gave you a definition of CRT. Because most people really have no idea what it is. But when I expose you as someone who is wrong about a fact - you simply refuse to accept when you've been shown up. And keep a facade of being correct. Stop trying to dismiss and ignore the innate intelligence and creativity of Black writers, editors and researchers. You are doing a terrible disservice to your people. Black people are simply gifted, smart and we are survivors. I do not agree with a lot of what you say. But I know you aim to make your mark in the literary world. And I salute you. But will not endorse your politics or the disdain you seem to exhibit for your own kind. . Remember, this is a Discussion Forum - not a fight to the death. Save that conflict for the racists who want all of us gone.
  5. Daniellegfny, American Spectator is a Conservative magazine. And the publication did not identify a single public school that teaches CRT. Not one! Just because this Right Wing online publication claims CRT is being taught in "sundry ways" does not make it so. In fact, I doubt you even know what sundry means. You have a habit of posting nonsense than fleeing before you can prove it. So, Daniellefgny, identify ONE public school in the United States that teaches CRT. Go ahead, name one and publish the location. I am calling you out. You're a phony. One thing I have learned about you is that when it comes to researching information, you never want to do it. If anyone claims CRT is being in public schools, especially to young children as Mzuri claims, furnish the name of the school. Don't bother posting links from publications because they will all be Right Wing or Republican-leaning and have a history of publishing articles proving hostile to Black Advancement. I am still wondering why Mzuri would think a five year old child would understand a university level course.
  6. I also know Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has asked the FBI to conduct a risk assessment of her county Court House and the Government Center in Atlanta The reputation for violence among unhinged Trump supporters is legendary. This is why I believe D.A. Willis is absolutely correct in requesting assistance. Georgia GA probing Trump asks FBI for security assistance
  7. The Left has not divided or hurt Black America. Blacks who have fully adopted "The Right Wing White Man is great" attitude have. Bernie Sanders, the Socialist, truly divided the Left and he knows it. However, apart from the stubborn believers that Socialism is going to save America (when it's failed as an economic system practically everywhere else), most on the Left have steadily moved away from the Vermont Senator who has proven he is just as deluded as Trump fans who claim 45 won the 2020 election. Politically, Black Americans are not a monolith. And rarely have been. Blacks who have decided to lie and fulminate against their own people are the actual ones who are hurting Black America. Because they rarely see any value in Black individuals who are overwhelmingly regarded as heroes by our own kind and others. This is why we've been treated to near demonic attacks on Whoopie Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey, Cardi B and anyone else Black who might have taken issue with Trump's alleged criminal acts. Our people have always been a collection of Haves and Have Nots. And our main detractors have always been White Supremacists and immigrants who have arrived in the U.S. and birthed offspring who believe that U.S. Blacks are unworthy, are beneath them and therefore, undeserving of respect. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley comes to mind. But now, we have a new enemy to contend with. Black people here in the U.S. who look down at anyone who does not share their adulation for Right Wingers or their policies. There is little most Black people can do about them except to patiently and politely refute their nonsensical rantings. And hopefully, without resorting to the same childish and angry taunts many unhinged Black Trump fans are known for. Look at where this constant unproven criticism of Black people in the U.S. is coming from. Is it emanating from highly educated Black individuals? Is it coming from a majority of Black executives in the corporate or business worlds? Is it coming from a Black spokesperson who has been a guest on any highly touted national radio or TV talk show? Is the whining individual a noted author, actor or scholarly luminary? No. It's usually the same folks who perennially complain about those Blacks they cannot match in word or deed or accomplishments. But will blow their top at anyone who points this out. Colin Powell describes this situation best:
  8. Critical Race Theory has been around for 40 years and it is NOT taught in grade, intermediate or any high school. CRT is an elective course only taught at the university level. Now, if you disagree, provide PROOF. Exactly how could a five year old comprehend an adult theory when most only want to resume playing their video games?
  9. Legitimate means just what it says. You must be a fan of the network I call "Fox Spews." Most of its listeners and watchers don't bother doing any research. Which has contributed greatly to the dumbing down of this country and dismissal of well researched information. My information came from an acknowledged international source of economic statistics. You never identified where your information came from. By the way, cryptocurrency is probably not the best place to park one's money. Too much uncertainty and greed. Couple charged with trying to unload billions in stolen cryptocurrency
  10. Cynique, You should go back and read my earlier comments. You can see from this comment I posted on Feb. 7, 2022 at around 6:07 PM that I am well aware of popular misconception of CRT among our detractors. What you wrote is EXACTLY what I had long complained about on other forums. That is why I came up with my one sentence explanation. We, Black people, allowed this to controversy to fester and now we're going to pay for it at the polls in November.
  11. I've never known Troy to take someone to task for posting a comment, even if he didn't agree with it. A discussion group exists to allow members to talk about topics. I've been a moderator of two Black Discussion Groups and the task is made much more difficult by individuals who are desperate for attention, for validation or have an agenda. Many of these folks are hellbent on venting their rage, posting their wild assertions or engaging in personal attacks. This is why most discussion groups or news forums post warnings about doing such, along with starting flame wars or just being an illogical thinking pain in the ass. And personal attacks are frowned upon in most discussion groups. Not only is doing so considered immature, such behavior never wins anyone over to accepting your viewpoint. Does anyone on here think they are qualified to determine what a legitimate news source is? I can tell you what it's not: An individual, an organization or a company that has a long history of making comical claims, exhibiting vicious bigotry or issuing false statements.
  12. To everyone who thought about and offered their take on CRT: THANK YOU! Most Black people actually believe CRT is simply Black History. But history is comprised of true facts and events. Critical Race Theory, like all theories, is a supposition, conjecture or a hypotheses. So, I simply came up with an unassailable ONE SENTENCE explanation of what CRT is. And this one sentence be can be tossed right back in the faces and the keyboards of the world's racists, the ignorant and those who have trouble thinking for themselves. The latter appear to prefer parroting the nonsense of non-Blacks who think they can characterize us. I will always defend Black Advancement, Black Achievement and Black Excellence. This is why Black authors write. Why Black filmmakers produce movies. And why those who refer to themselves as Creatives Arts shout out our inherent Greatness in song, dance and art. I'll be damned if I am going to allow some the uninformed, the hateful or the jealous to get away with savaging our luminaries or downplaying our History. Like any writer, I WILL respond. Here is my definition of CRT: Critical Race Theory is a premise that posits skin color and race determine the outcomes of most decisions, laws and behavior in the U.S. That's it! The explanation consists of one sentence and it will prove effective.
  13. Ahem, getting back to the original thread: The Holocaust is a singularly evil event in world history. This does not mean it is the only genocidal event. Jews in Nazi-controlled Europe were targeted because of their race, not their religion. However, Jews are sensitive to any notion that what their people experienced at the hands of the Nazis is any less than how they internalize and speak about this suffering. And that is why the outrage over what Whoopi said was quick and deafening. I don't like it one bit when someone tries to downplay or make light of centuries of Slavery in the U.S. I will not apologize for taking umbrage. Does anyone think Professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., would accept the devaluing of Black suffering?
  14. Daniellefgny, I rarely lost my I.D. and not all states will help you retrieve needed documents. And this is because one is never dealing with an actual state, one is usually interacting with a state employee who may or may not be inclined to assist. I cited a legitimate and unimpeachable source as to where those stats came from. Now, where is YOUR proof for challenging those stats as incorrect? Stop expecting others to simply accept a rationale YOU offer. I always offer a legitimate source for my contentions. One wouldn't last long or be considered legitimate in the news business if all they were to do is offer spurious facts, baseless accusations or make a claim with little proof or no sourcing. One wouldn't last long as a blogger, writer or a pundit either. Unless they enjoy sophistry.
  15. Mzuri, Actually, a lot of people do care what and how I write. That's one of the benefits of being such a good writer, editor and a teacher. You are one of several always-angry folks who cannot solve me, overcome my truths or even control your temper. Stalk you? You've gotta be kidding. You're an embarrassment to Black Learning and Schoolyard Taunts 101.
  16. Troy, This is exactly what I was talking about. And this failure to accurately describe CRT went on for a long time allowing White people to define the term and make up all sorts of nonsense about it. Each time I asked, I received different replies. And none were correct. Most who try to explain it employ 50-cent word verbiage which average readers in the U.S. have a hard time understanding since most read at a 7th and 8th grade level. Others dance around it claiming: "Oh, it's been around for 40 years and such and such.” Long-winded explanations do little to clear the air. And the more I asked, it made me realize that no Black person could clarify what CRT is either, but so many wanted to argue about it.
  17. Come meet a poster named Nels In Trump-is-my-God land he dwells He loves to put down The Black and the Brown With each untruth his chest swells
  18. One of the reasons Trump does attract so much news coverage, (whether it consists of lavish praise, objective news and analyses or outright contempt), is because many may pay attention. Trump is clickbait for many online organizations. In the 1970's,this was true of Richard Nixon, but there was no Internet. Still, many gobbled up much that was written about the 37th President.
  19. Daniellgfny, You never did shy away from a challenge. You are definitely on the right track.
  20. Nels claims the three Black female prosecutors Trump has attacked and demanded widespread protests over are "inherently corrupt." Knowing how weak at providing proof this guy is, watch with a chuckle as Nels proceeds to list several URLs, not one of which will offer definitive proof of his nonsensical charge. Ask Atlanta YouTube denizen (and liar) Latasha Kebe how much lying and slandering is worth to Nicki Minaj.
  21. I can understand being disenchanted with what most call The Bible. However, calling people "morons" does win over people to your cause or way of thinking. Most individuals on this planet have no clue that The Bible is the world's all time best book seller and has been translated in virtually every language that has been widely read. As far as Christianity? There is no friggin' way that the man who is called Jesus, the Nazarene, in the Greek Scriptures, could have been White. Just look at the climate of what many call Ancient Israel and the entire surrounding region. There were no indigenous Whites there until long after Jesus and his 11 Apostles passed off the scene. There might have been Greek and Roman soldiers, who had sex with local women and fathered children, just as Hannibal's soldiers did when they controlled northern Italy for fourteen years. But they were not indigenous to the region.
  22. CRT actually DOES make a lot of White People uncomfortable. In fact, the very term enrages millions of Whites and probably, a good number of Latinos as well. And it's because well-meaning Black educators, historians, activists and observers never came up with a one-sentence explanation of what CRT really is. The funny thing is that CRT is taught at the university level only. It is not Black History at all and it is not taught in grade, intermediate/ junior or any high schools. And because no unassailable one sentence description was ever devised that could be employed to hurl back at CRT's detractors, this ceded the political debate space to haters of Black Advancement for more than a year. And during this time, many ignorant Whites either unknowingly or knowingly gave the GOP tremendous momentum to make CRT a huge political wedge issue. Now, without cheating and using only your own words, describe what Critical Race Theory is.
  23. One of the reasons I initially declined to comment on this thread is because I recognize there may be more than one incredibly mean-spirited and vicious-minded person in these discussion forums. From her comments, Mzuri seems to exhibit scant sympathy and patience for many other Blacks who get into trouble. She can be beyond hateful at times. And such thinking puts her in the company of like-minded GOP legislators who think nothing of slashing Aid to Dependent Children, aid to disabled children, ( Texas Governor Gregg Abbott in 2016 ), refusing to add funds for Veterans Affairs and cutting the budgets for Medicaid and Medicare benefits for the elderly, the disabled and the chronically ill. So, it stands to reason Mzuri might heap abuse on those who take their own lives for the sole sake of appearing superior. Recent suicides did not just claim the lives of notable Blacks, but it also took the sons of actor Michael Madsen and Irish singer Sinead O'Connor. We know that Regina King's son, Ian Alexander, took his own life. And now, suicide has snuffed out the future of former Miss USA Cheslie Kryst, whose mother said publicly that her daughter was a beautiful soul, despite being prone to depression.
  24. Mzuri, you really should learn to understand that this is a DISCUSSION forum. And when I first signed up here, the topics ranged from Black and African History, Numerology, Religion, (both pro and con), national and world economics and some politics. But because Barack Obama was in the White House, there was not such heated back and forth that lasted for weeks among the discussion participants. We did not always agree, but there were few nasty and insulting personal attacks. You called my thread harassment. Really? I simply told the truth. And provided links for evidence of my suppositions. Most Black and White writers and bloggers have come to the same conclusion about certain Trump voters and it's this: Most Black Trump backers know full well that Donald Trump really does not like Black people. He never has. Trump has a 50-year history of disparaging Black people and I posted links from two different news source that prove this. Now, to get around these legitimate facts, these writers strongly suggest that Black Trump supporters resort to playing ignorant of Trump's worst verbal outrages. And that many prefer to highlight real or imaged verbal faux pas made by folks on the Left. As if that is going to magically erase Trump's racist words, deeds and behavior. So, for the record, I was not harassing anyone. I was simply doing what normal people do in any news or discussion forum. I offered a topic for discussion on a matter I had thought about for a long time, but only posted after garnering proof of what I was going to say.
  25. Cynique, I used to look forward to coming on here and reading some thoughtful and congenial posts from Black people. I imagine those days are gone forever. I just cannot believe the Hate from some. Some folks seem to live for it.
