  1. Jury deliberating in the Wisconsin trial. Judge dropped underage weapons charge. In his instructions to the jury, I kept hearing the Judge mention self-defense. I'll be surprised if that clown gets convicted. In the Arbery trial, 1st the defense doesn't want black pastors there and then they tried to get a mistrial. A guilty verdict in this case should be a slam dunk despite the shenanigans.
  2. If he enages with the communities and gains their trust instead of just managing from City Hall, I think mayor-Elect Adams has a good chance to make a difference in NYC.
  3. Absolutely not. I have zero problem holding my own regardless of the place or setting. So, the bathroom thing is a non-issue to me. I merely offered the port-a-potty as a solution to the concerned.
  4. I wonder who's going to pay the cost of adding another bathroom to every building. It would be cheaper to put Port-a-Pottys everywhere that folks have to go.
  5. @Troy, you're a smart man so we'll skip the true meaning of the 2nd amendment. A wand will not fix the issues I raised but they are the primary reasons for gun violence in America. To outlaw guns would be counter-productive to white supremacy. Like the boogeyman, they believe that one day they're gonna have to go to war in order protect their way of life. As a result, stockpiling guns is necessary. A certain amount of guns are sent to the streets so that aimless folks will take each other out. So, you're right...Americans are crazy on multiple levels.
  6. Yep. Unfortunately, I'm up on on all that sh8t. In hindsight, those days were hectic but in real time it just flowed.
  7. Yep. Alpo brought his BS to DC and made a lot of enemies here too. No telling how many folks wanted to put him in the dirt. Knowing that, it makes no sense that he didn't continue to lay low in Maine under the witness protection program. Oh well...he was about that life and the ending too.
  8. Yep. Even in the chocolate city of DC, at the height of the drug epidemic, police would stop and search us for no good reason. I have been there and done that back in the day. Interesting that mobsters driving fancy cars get a pass to assault and kill in "doing business". Still, their victims were "innocent" people to the extent that they had not be tried and convicted in court by a jury of their peers. Even then, mobsters weren't appointed to be executioners either. Mobsters...I wonder where aimless n8gglets got the bright the idea to assault and kill and commit crimes.
  9. @Troy, I was not referring to anything Dyson said in the posted video as talking above the average person. Whenever I hear Dyson and West speak to the media, maybe for that audience it is a conscientious decision not to go too hard in the paint.
  10. Other than accidental discharge, a gun does not fire itself. The person carrying the gun makes a decision if/when using it. Reducing gun violence comes down to fixing the mentality of the person holding the gun whether it's poverty, criminal, mental health, racism, etc. Eliminating racism will reduce the number of white folks murdering black folks. If folks are inclined to rob, steal or kill others, they will find an alternative if guns are unavaialbe. Fix the mentality.
  11. That stop and frisk policy was disproportionately applied to people of color. NYC didn't use stop and frisk to shake down mafia associates who are criminals and some of whom are bona-fide killers.
  12. Michael Eric Dyson and Cornel West seem to be the leading black intellectuals the media loves to put in front of a hot mic. Dyson and West are both *smart* guys but they're always talking over the heads of the average person. Also, they talk a lot but don't offer any solutions to problems. It never ceases to amaze me what black folks actually expected from former POTUS Barry-O. We don't live in a kingdom or dictatorship where the leader gets to makes decisions unilaterally. Prez BO was given the keys to drive around the block. But, he couldn't do anything without it being sanctioned by the real power. The POTUS is just an executive who uses government resources to carry out the agenda of the big money folks who put them in the job.
  13. Mayor-Elect Adams is former police Captain so I expect law enforcement will get his full support. BLM might as well take several seats if they even think they're going to keep the incoming mayor and NYPD from handling their business.
  14. Guns aren't the problem. It's the mentality of the person carrying it. Texas is a great example of a state full of strapped people yet it's not the wild west. Minimize the conditions that lead to gun violence and fewer folks will get shot. Getting rid of racism and poverty would be a start. Of course those are two very tall orders.
  15. Maybe they use Tartrazine more commonly known as yellow #5.
  16. They probably didn't ask Bill anything. Took one look at his face and wheeled him into the executive suite at the hospital.
  17. Right. Because we do know these issues are still happening around the country, we have to give them merit in order to bring equality and justice to all. The humorous side of me still sees some parts of this being incorporated into a comedic skit or movie.
  18. @Mzuri, you're right. As I watched the video, I did consider that she could have been cuckoo for coco puffs. There aren't too many folks willing to make a video without their dentures and while having diarrhea too. She had a lot going on besides running her mouth. However, a white woman would not have been interrogated the same way *if* she had a fever of 101 or higher leading to sepsis and a 9 day hospital stay. I've seen paramedics transport folks to the hospital without too many questions for less severe issues.
  19. It's funny how two people can look that the same thing and see something different. When I caught a glimpse of the furniture in the Queen's mouth (teeth), I refuse to believe she's never met a dentist she liked. She could have gotten those two rows of corn in her gums fixed a long time ago. Instead, she chose to spend the kingdom's money on other stuff.
  20. Unfortunately, racism is taught very early to the folks who practice it. Social media is another conduit for spreading it. This is just another example of how deep and pervasive racism is embedded in our society. No amount of credentials, money, fame, etc. absolves a black person from the color of their skin.
  21. Here's the latest movie about the late Princess Diana: https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/spencer-latest-princess-diana-movie-surprisingly-surrealist-tragedy-ncna1283374 CNN Is running a whole series about her too. Of course, there's whatever is going on with Harry and Meghan and their estrangement from Buckingham palace. Maybe I'm an insensitive old man but I've never understood the American infatuation with whatever is happening across the pond. I'm open to being educated on why I should care about any of it.
  22. So, POTUS PJB emphatically feels those who were separated from their children "deserve something". This will be interesting if it develops and grows legs.
  23. Until then, kids should definitely help out with the campaign where they can to be supportive and to learn how the process works. Their time to vote will come soon enough. No need to rush it.
  24. https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/northern-virginia/glenn-youngkins-underage-son-tried-to-vote-in-virginia-governors-election-officials-say/2870695/ I don't know what this kid was thinking but his dad clearly did not need his help to win the election.
  25. In the immortal words of the late Rodney post azz whuppin, can't we all just get along.
