I saw a preview for this upcoming movie a week or so ago. Appears to be in the same vein as Get Out and Us. I'm glad Jordan Peele is establishing himself as a filmmaker within the horror genre. He's doing a great job from a casting perspective too. 😎

Hopefully, the CROWN Act--H.R.2116 - Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair Act of 2022, will resolve this issue of racial discrimination. There's no shortage of racist issues in this country. Folks are becoming more bold in expressing and/or enforcing their racist beliefs. 😎

These people are bold too because despite everyone having a recording device (cell phone), the racist will do and say whatever they please. Then, there's the blogs and comment sections of news articles. No shortage of racist micro-aggresssion at every turn. @Troy, again, I admire your optimism in this regard but I find it hard to believe racism will end in our lifetime. 😎

The assassinations of Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, Fred Hampton and COINTELPRO dismantling the Black Panther Party chipped away at it. The assassination of Dr. MLK Jr was the proverbial nail in the coffin and final blow. Regardless of how one feels about Dr. MLK Jr.s methods, motives or political stance, black folks have not had a leading voice in 50 years.😎

Ignorance would suggest that we're either unaware or don't know any better. Yet, we live in a 24/7/365 media cycle. This crap is happening right before our eyes and within our hearing but we do nothing about it. I contend that our collective indifference allows these folks to get away with everything from killing black folks to changing laws that adversely affect us. That's why they are comfortable with re-enacting the Civil War, celebrating the confederacy and other vestiges of slavery. But, Critical Race Theory gives them heartburn. 😎

IMO, black power (unity, communalism, collectivism, etc.) in the US was essentially neutered with the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. over 50 years ago. The desire for black power was replaced with affirmative action and the illusion of inclusion. Individual achievement and accomplishment and consumerism have become the opiates that allow black folks to feel free. 😎

Human beings killing each other for consensus would be a sin. Violence should be a last resort of self-defense. Otherwise, most problems can be solved constructively.😎

Yep. It's unbelievable and sad that there are white supremacy proponents and sympathizers among black folks. Then again, race traitors have always existed among us. Brother Nat Turner didn't get very far with his plan because he was sold out by a black man. If there was going to be a black revolution, clowns like Larry Elder and Vernon Jones are among the 1st black folks who would be subjected to the drop squad. The governor of MS is an idiot in chief who should have been cancelled. Same goes for the clown running around down in FL. Yet, it would be meaningless to take down any of the folks I mentioned above because there are millions of people who think just like them. 😎

White folks have used power negatively to conquer the world. But, the question is what have they really gained. One could argue the spoils of slavery and war have flooded white folks with untold wealth. I contend that the reason white folks will never enjoy peace is because their lust for power doesn't allow them to rest. Maintaining white supremacy (power) leaves them in a perpetual state of wickedness. That's why white folks build the most impressive defense systems. Their fear is that one day non-white folks are going to rise up against them and usurp their power. Every act of aggression that white folks make against others and even amongst themselves is to practice killing and to spread fear and control among non-whites. They project strength in order to maintain world order and power. 😎

@richardmurray your analysis and understanding of the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is spot on from top to bottom. Ukraine is caught in the middle of a political game. The USA wants them close to NATO. Russian wants to put the band back together....USSR. Ukrainian lives are being sacrificed for political interests. Russians are are being forced to kill, rape and torture their own not too distant relatives. As I wrote, this whole situation is unnecessary. But, this is how power and greed works especially among the most barbaric people on the planet. White folks will let millions of people die for nothing even among themselves. 😎

Yes. It is possible for a *financially successful* person to believe in democratic socialism. The meaning of success and rich varies from one person to another. While a handful of folks have become wealthy in the modern era, wealth is usually built and handed down over several generations. Nordic countries have practiced a form of socialism that seems to work for them. Canada does well with it too. I believe socialism works in places where racism is a non-issue. For example, the people of Sweden are going to take care of each other. The US is a mixed economy nation built on a legacy of slavery and racism which makes it complicated. 😎

POTUS Obama left the White House 6 years ago. He's living his best life. There's absolutely no reason to throw shade on him now. However, there are quite a few things going on in the world that deserve attention. The focus should be on folks from both sides of the aisle who are supposed to be running the show today.😎

@richardmurray, I stand corrected. There are Ukrainians who would rather flee the country than stay and fight and kill or be killed by their Russian counterparts. Interestingly, among the several hundreds of men who have chosen to leave Ukraine, many of them feel "guilt and shame" for doing so. Sadly, the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is totally unnecessary and fueled by politics and greed. 😎

@Troy is exactly right. The solution is *simple* but exceedingly *difficult* considering how AfroAmericans were colonized. Individual achievement and accomplishment is great. We should all strive to be our very best. However, as a group of people there's strength in numbers especially when it comes to knowledge, security, wealth management, etc. Every other group has ties that bind them whether it's racial, ethnic, cultural, etc. They know their history and close ranks when necessary. Right now, Ukrainians are a good example of it. I don't see or hear any dissent among them as it relates to how they should protect themselves and take care of each other. Even wealthy Ukrainian men are on the battle front. 😎
