  1. 60 years ago, the Honorable Malcolm X explained everything AfroAmericans are still dealing with today. Malcolm X told us it was not a good idea to allow others into our business. If AfroAmericans collated and codified everything Hon. Malcolm X spoke into the form of a Bible...we could eliminate confusion and teach future generations how to love each other and live more abundantly. Ultimately, AfroAmerican unity would be the cornerstone of destroying the system of racism white supremacy. The trick of the enemy is to relying on the passage of time to wash away AfroAmerican history and any formation or semblance of unity among our people.
  2. In a high technology world, there's less anonymity. Big Brother has been watching folks for a long time now. Folks showing their faces on a screen makes it easier to identify them but ISPs, cell phones, cable boxes, navigation, web browsers, etc., have been keeping track of folks for many years now. A Brady Bunch style of communication is cool for office meetings but pointless in online discussion.
  3. Art does not require historical accuracy and/or authenticity unless it is being created to educate. Otherwise, art as entertainment can be anything conjured up by the artist's imagination and creativity. That's why people enjoy different types of artwork and various genres of film and music. Sometimes, art provides an escape from reality and allows folks to fantasize, cheer or live vicariously through characters.
  4. Interesting how the Zoom model of communication is spreading since the pandemic. IMO, the current model of the discussion forum works just fine. Folks can pop in and out of the conversations at their leisure. Also, there's no need to get dressed up or groomed before lights, camera, action.
  5. I'm a huge proponent that we need to close ranks and recalibrate as an AfroAmerican family before we can form alliances with other groups of people. In fact, I believe AfroAmericans have been encouraged to work with others in order to keep us infiltrated and divided. Many decades ago, that's why Jewish businesses thrived in black neighborhoods before Asians showed up.
  6. All of the friends who went to Mexico with Shanquella Robinson should be arrested and thrown in jail. Somebody will start talking and spilling the beans when that potential penitentiary press cranks up.
  7. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/12/herschel-walker-georgia-black-americans/672373/ Here's an excellent article on the joke of Herschel mumble-mouth Walker's candidacy.
  8. Yep. It's about time Sen. Kyrsten Sinema came out of the closet. Claims she still plans to caucus with Democrats. We'll see. Now, I'm waiting for Sen. Joe Manchin to do the same thing. He's usually riding with Sinema as a roadblock. I think they're Republicans in Democrat clothing. Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Angus King are Independent but you'd never know it from how they roll.
  9. I was responding to Chevdove's initial post. But, NYers would know better than I do.
  10. Of course, some folks are questioning why sista Brittney Griner was freed before former Marine Paul Whelan. Nevermind that Griner was convicted of carrying a vape cartridge. Whelan was convicted of espionage.
  11. Irene Cara incurred the wrath of music business and was blacklisted when she fought for her royalties. The term Nuyorican has been around for a couple decades now. But, it's hardly used outside metro New York.
  12. America is home for those of us descended from enslaved people who've been here for several hundred years.
  13. Public servants have to be qualified beyond merely voting the *right* way. Most of them have a solid educational background too.
  14. That is the dilemma for Black folks all over the planet. As long as a few people are willing to be sellouts, it's easier to oppress the masses. The system of racism white supremacy is built on it.
  15. Since 1804, the grand prize for the Haitian revolution has been indebtedness in perpetuity to France.
  16. That was common during slavery. It's one form of the PTSD that plagues AfroAmericans so easily committing acts of violence against each other
  17. I do not see and/or hear intelligence in neither mumble-mouth Walker nor B8tch McConnell. Regardless of the political party one chooses to represent, the 1st prerequisite I look for in a potential candidate is intellect. The limited supply of intelligence and/or lack of application among our political leadership and the populace is part of the reason our country remains divided. i cannot be micro-manipulated. I call balls and strikes as I see them through a non-partisan lens.
  18. Mumble-mouth Walker was always a weak and flawed candidate. He was a GOP puppet. Those who voted for mumble-mouth Walker illustrated the continued ignorance and stupidity that pervades our country.
  19. https://www.npr.org/2022/12/08/1141503355/brittney-griner-freed Sista Brittney Griner has been freed and she's on her way home in time for the holidays.
  20. Regardless of how much it has increased, violent crime happens way too often here in the US, supposedly the most developed country in the world. But, violence fuels the American economy in so many ways. Think of every public and private institution and business that makes money from the misfortune and demise of people. I'm sure you already know this but like dealing with America's original sin and reparations and asking for anything else beneficial, the reason AfroAmericans who know better aren't dealing with it is because... they're afraid to hear the answer. As a result, folks are going along to get along and getting in where they fit and trying not to upset the apple cart.
  21. Man, they scrubbed their shoe in the grass as if they stepped in dog sh8t to forget about that n8gglet. Like a crime scene...let's go boys, there's nothing left to see here. That clown azz n8gglet lost fair and square to that other 4-eyed preacher boy. Dunkin Donuts we're en route. 10-4.
  22. The GOP will distance itself from the grip of the former POTUS and return to its more conservative values which isn't necessarily a good thing depending on one's social status.
  23. Sure. The Georgia senate race was close in November too. My point is considering the weakness of the GOP candidate, the race should have never been close at all. Warnock should have won by a landslide the 1st time. There is something to be said for the fact that a totally unqualified candidate in Mumble-Mouth Walker won 49% of the vote in the state of Georgia. Nevermind that he lives in Texas. If the mentality and motivation of 49% of the Georgia voters is truly indicative of what they think and believe and where they stand, this country has bigger problems. As it relates to Teflon Don and getting a lawsuit to stick, I'll believe when I see/hear it. IOW, i don't think the criminal tax fraud, conspiracy and falsifying records indictment against the Trump organization will adversely affect him.
  24. i don't see why Stacey Abrams' numbers are being used as a metric of any kind in the runoff race. She was not running for Senate. But, to play the game, look no further than Gov. Kemp's margin of victory compared to Mumble-Mouth Walker's performance and it's clear that the GOP knew he was a weak and flawed candidate. The GOP was playing with house money in having a black candidate in Walker opposed the Democrat Warnock. If Mumble-Mouth Walker had managed to win the senate seat, the GOP leadership would have dealt with the windfall accordingly. They would have propped puppet Walker up in Washington and told him what to do. Thankfully, that did not come to pass. Of course, neither the GOP nor their media treated mumble-mouth Walker with respect. He was thrust upon them by Orange Julius the former POTUS. Now that the GOP knows they can win seats without bowing down to 45, they will start distancing themselves from him.
  25. Georgia has responded in sending senator Warnock back to DC. The race was closer than it should have been but a win is all that matters.
