Critics of the Democratic party implicitly admire the Republican party for its devious tactics, and its toxic susceptibility to lies, greed, and discrimination against "the other". Democrats try to play by the rules, adhere to the principles of democracy, support inclusion for all, improved health care, veterans benefits, climate control, always advocating for the underdog. But their critics persist, never coming up with any viable alternatives, trapped in the mire of their eternal optimism, personifying the obstacles that impede the black unity they crave. How they yearn for the day when they can replace white supremacy with the black supremacy they imagine they are examples of. Their frustration with unfulfilled expectations breeds frustration with how they contribute to these disappointments.

@ProfDThere is certainly a lesson to be learned from this incident. In the future, Americans taking up residence in Russia or any foreign country will hopefully have learned that to break the laws in these places can have consequences, especially when it comes to controlled substances. Don't depend on extenuating circumstances to get you off the hook. That is the "cautionary tale". if Brittany is brought back here through a prisoner swap, she will not serve any more time and she has, in effect, "beat the rap".

What is a hindrance to thoroughly checking out your narrative is that in order to do so, I'd have to wade through all of pioneer's droppings that contaminate every post he insinuates himself into, grunting out what he thinks everybody should feel privileged to read. Be advised that he is a mentally disturbed ego maniac, steeped in self-importance and obviously of the opinion that what African Americans need is for him to be in charge of the race because he has everything all figured out and knows all the answers. and if he could just make them over in his image and be their leader, everything would be perfect. Characters like him are who make me glad that my advanced age makes it unlikely that I would have to exist under the leadership of a messianic fool like him. i am content to simply be a spectator in the American arena, watching from my front row seat, throwing tomatoes at the zeroes who think they are heroes. The reason the vice president wasn't physically attacked by the mob who descended upon the Capitol was because Pence was quickly spirited away by security officers. On January 6th, all the looting, vandalism, injuries to police officers and killing of a female rioter were the end result of Donald Trump's fiery rhetoric that included villainizing the VP. And your patented narrative seeking to exonerate the narcistic tyrant whom you idolize cannot erase that fact.

Trump stays in the new because he is news. He is still the de facto leader of the Republican party. No poitical pundits have written him off as a 2024 presidential candidate. He is a figure to be reckoned with and has yet to be dethroned. Hate him, but don't write him off.
