  1. @daniellegfny regarding your understanding of Covid ... OK. Soooo... 600K dead as a result of white people killing other white people, millions of white people killed each other during the world war including some whites stuffing other whites into gas chambers, white people shoot up schools and blow federal office building full of white people -- you blieve all of this is staged to create disunity in Black people .... well OK do you bruh!
  2. Either you did not read, or comprehend, what I wrote. Read what I actually wrote please. Again, I asked about the first photo you posted. You are attempted to cloud the issue by posting other photos and defending those. I'm not nearly as easily distracted as you are, and certainly less emotional. I asked a specific question deliberately. It is now obvious that you shared a photo from a questionable source and are unwilling to stand by that, whether you want to admit it or not. This is not unusual I often challenge @Pioneer1's sources, but he accepts the critique and moves on. You try to cover it up.
  3. I just added this book to our store. The In a promotional video the author tells us who marries more outside the race. She also says that she sees nothing wrong with Black people marrying outside your race unless it comes from a place of self loathing -- then it is bad. Self loathing is bad in and of itself, but I'm not sure how one tells the difference in the context of a marriage. I have not read the book, nor am I academic who has studied the subject for more than a decade. I wonder if the author is married.
  4. You obviously "know" more about Melania's history than I do. But that is not the point. You shared a photo and I asked where where you got it from, because the source matters. You did not share the source, so I have reason to believe the source was suspect. Neither does FAS. Of course just because something has been around a long time does not make it true. Why am I not surprised? He looks old too -- probably has plenty of money... This is not true white people say this too. Besides you are "Black" and you don't even believe it.
  5. Pioneer, so called Black people have demonstrated no more disunity than people of other skin tones today, or in the history of the world. Indeed, one could argue that darker people have shown more unity. The revolutionary war, the civil war, WWI, WWII, etc. were started as a result of disunity between pinked skinned Europeans, collective referred to today as white people. The disunity you see between between African Americans , is not inherent to Black people and not different that what we see within the so called white community. The problem is that Black people are collectively oppressed for not other reason that our skin color. We have a common enemy so to speak. But the lines have been blurred, people like Obama and Harris are a consequence of this blurring. Most call these two people Black, but I know white people that I have more in common with culturally than I could possibly have with Obama. Just because we have similar skin tones, does not automatically make us automatic allies. This does not mean that I dislike Obama, or that he is a bad person, but thinking that we would be automatically unified is naive. Yes, that is my point. saying Covid is like a "bad cold," with all that YOU know is dumb or a lie. As far as the Fauci statement and my calculation, I don't understand what you mean. My calculation was accurate based upon the data YOU shared, though I know it was not what you expected, for interpretation of data is not a strength you have demonstrated.
  6. What statement did I make to prompt this reaction? I know why Slaves were taken from Africa, what does that have to do with anything I wrote? Not informed people; informed people know knowledge evolves and changes over time. Danielle you know that Covid-19 is the 3rd leading cause of death in the US (indeed you shared the data the data here) and that it has killed almost 1/4 of a million people. So you are not ignorant. You assert that covid is no worse than the flu (am I putting words in you mouth?). Since ignorance has been ruled out, one can only conclude that you are being being deliberately deceitful (lying) or stupid. Which is it? I know asking a stupid person if they are stupid is a stupid action LOL! Seriously, how can you look at all of these deaths and chronically ill people and dismiss it as of no consequence? Forget what good reasons you think people have for disbelieving experts. I'm talking about what YOU believe and have been writing on these forums.
  7. For me it depends significance. The first non-white male president of vice present of the US -- this is significant. Being the first to moderate a "debate," not so much... Shoot, I'm the first Black person to launch an web based store that lasted 24 years. This is significant to me, but completely uninteresting to others. With Wikipedia you really do I have to double check what you read there. Anyone can add it the site it, the editors are often based, and is skews to a white male perspective -- which matters especially when Black people are concerned I wrote about it quite a bit. Google ranks wikipedia very high and user wiki's content on there search engine results page which is why I will not contribute content to the site or give them a donation. This is not backing up a fact. Where did you get this photo? How do you know it was not doctored?
  8. There is only one race. There is no way genetically determine one's race. If it were up to me, we would some collecting data on who is what "race," as it is a purely subjective, as we've seen countless times on this forum people will always disagree what race people are, especially over time. Racism however is quite real in America. Some argue that if you don't count people by race, you'll never be able to quantify racism, but the very act of putting people into arbitrary boxes reinforces racism, because it constantly forces us to consider it. If a cop chokes a man until he is dead for no good reason, what difference does it really make if his victim's skin is darker -- the victim is just as dead -- punish the devil for his crime. As far as Kristen's performance as moderator, my thought are more in line with Mzuri's the combination of white, Black, or red is irrelevant: Maybe all Native American's should be proud too, huh? Who really cares and why? People like to talk about being ADOS, Foundational Black, Afro-American, wherever, but the reality is the majority of these people have European ancestry. At the some point in the future, we will stop have to stop using race because it will have no discernable visible meaning. But human being humans will find some phenotypical characteristic to use to say one human is superior to another. One day we will evolve....

I was not calling you "soft." What prompted that response?
  10. If they knew each other this is even more sinister. Devil. The legal definitions of what took place are immaterial to me, from what I understand one man took almost a 1/5 of an hour to murder another man and no one, including several other officers, did anything to stop him. Call it what you want, legal or otherwise, but it is a straight up lynching, right out of the Jim Crow era. Devil.
  11. @Delano whoa buddy. Our bet was double or nothing. Since you owe me for my bet that he would complete his term. I showed you come mercy and gave you an option to roll the bet over such that you pay me $100 if 45 is elected and if he is not we are even. Check the record 😉
  12. I dunno; does material wealth increase the effectiveness of the occult? Would universal access level the playing field. What good is the power if no one benefits from it? Well maybe we give the knowledge to those who have reached a certain level of wisdom. We don't give martinis to grade school children at lunch...
  13. Share the picture man. I've been working up the fortitude to watch the video. In need to better understand why THIS incident got white people so actively engaged about confronting and dealing with racism. Is this just a belief or are you aware of something that would support this belief?
  14. But why? (I feel like a little kid again continually asking why 🙂 ). Wouldn't humanity benefit from more widespread sharing of knowledge?
  15. Troy replied to Delano's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
LOL! Maybe for YOU two, and people like you, who play nicely in the world There are a whole category of people out there I would not let loose on the world free to behave based solely upon their mind, heart, and intuition. I shudder at the thought!
  16. Yeah, I'm on there too "Troy-Johnson." I can't image any entity vetting a journalist using this site. I would not sign up for an account. It is purely a scrapper site and not a very good one. That said, the site gets a lot of traffic with an tremendous amount of growth this year alone. It pulled in a ton of traffic racking on the search term "MSN" It is impossible to curate your online presence, having to pay a site to do it is the same as paying a ransom. While I'm occasionally paid to write, my livelihood does not dependent upon it. Indeed I pay others more to write than I personally make from writing and I do not need to check muckrake to see what the people I pay have written.
  17. In another conversation @Pioneer1 shared the following: For those who think that's ridiculous..... Look at what happened to brown skinned Native Americans: Native Americans of the 1800s "Native Americans" today. Pioneer's comment struck me, because I have noticed this too. Just a couple of days ago I watched a documentary on the Smithsonian Channel, Battle of Little Big Horn. I visited the site of the battle, for I find what as happen to the indigenous peoples of America incredibly appalling. Interestingly, the "Native Americans" speaking in the documentary all presented as white. Not one looked like the Native American's we see in photos from the 19th century! For you Trekies out there, It was like looking at Klingons from the original Star Trek series and the Klingons in the films -- you are like, WTF happened to these people?! I mean we know what Sitting Bull Looked like: But who the heck is this guy? This always always puzzled me. I mean when you visit a reservation (I recently visited the Navaho Nation), you see people who like Native Americans from the pictures, so I know they exist. But when you go to casinos owned by "Native Americans," you always wonder, well where the heck are the Native American owners? I just assumed they were in the back counting all the money they making... I started reading this book about the Tulsa massacre, Tulsa, 1921: Reporting a Massacre by Randy Krehbiel. Which gave me some insight which supports exactly what Pioneer was describing as "White Supremacists are sneaky." The infamous Trail of Tears ended in Oklahoma. The people who survived the death march were dumped onto land that was not viewed as particularly valuable or even hospitable. Tulsa 1921 goes on to explain, that oil was discovered on this land. Once this happened white men would marry the Natives American land owners. These women would be killed or disappear. Leaving ownership to the white men who ultimately became exorbitantly wealthy. Devils. Oil made Tulsa Oklahoma one of the most prosperous cities in the country. It was home to perhaps the most prosperous Black community, which would later be known as The Black Wall Street. Most adults now know Tulsa was one of the worst, of many American massacres of Black people. Devils. Now if Black people do get reparations in the form of significant financial remuneration. This is of course highly unlikely, but lets continue with the thought experiment: Do we think Black women would be more or less desirable marriage material by white men? When financially successful Black people decide to marry white people, it has to be viewed in the context of our American history.
  18. I watched most of the "debate" (they really should stop called these events debates -- they are not debates) last night. Interestingly, @Stefan the woman did not appear to be Black to me, so she did not draw my attention, but now that it has been mentioned here I could see that she is "mixed race," but her skin color does not inform what I think of the job she did. As @Mzuri said I think she did an OK job too, but she it was not like she controlled the mute button, or that she, or anyone, could control either man. 45 seemed a coherent as I have ever seen him. I may not agree with a lot of what he said, but he presented as well as Biden did. Both are weak candidates. It seems unlikely the 45 will actually win, but it is clearly possible. I predicted he would win in 2016 and made money on those predictions off a couple of Brothers on this forum. I even won more money predicting that he would remain in office until the end of his term (winking at @Delano). ----------- @Pioneer1 The issue with Native American's is worth starting another conversation.
  19. Your command of mathematics concepts is demonstrably limited along with your ability to apply them. I can't have a reasonable conversation with someone who does not comprehend what few means. Initially, I too talked about how wearing a mask was not necessary, because the was the message that was being shared. @Pioneer1 may recall challenging my position, which I had to immediately concede because that information be propagated had indeed changed. My information was stale. Of course we missed this ComoTV, started in February, is a propaganda machine. Why would you believe this extremely dubious source over the CDC? Can you tell us anything about who is behind ComoTV? Do you even care? The video you shared doesn't even say the CDC said you who wrote. Dr. Fucci is not part of the CDC. You are being deliberately deceptive, in more common parlance lying. You can easily read what the CDC says: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover-guidance.html Why are you lying. It is not ignorance. What is you motive @daniellegfny? Do you want us too all to take off our masks, not even 45 is saying that today.
  20. @Mel Hopkins I'll hold a copy for you they will sell out today. I'm sure you enjoy the book; I did.
  21. Deesha has made a limited number of signed copies of her National Book Award Finalist book of short stories, The Secret Lives of Church Ladies. She has shared this on social media, but I could not, in good conscious, not share this information here. These copies will not last long for this first edition, with the AALBC Bestseller seal applied, (the book is already a bestseller for October).
  22. Time will tell. I have not seen the video yet -- even the photo was hard to look at knowing the outcome... Do you think the guy was actually trying to kill George?
  23. With all due respect, that statement is objectively ridiculous -- unworthy of me refuting. I hearby give up 😞
  24. Why, for Christ's sake, are you calling 220K deaths propoganda? You don't believe it, don't think it matters why is trying to minimizd avoidable deaths propoganda?
  25. In Danielle's world very few people = 30 million people. No wonder 250K deaths don't bother you. Also a "few" Americans coverage isn't very good, high copays and deductibles, just for catastrophes.
