  1. @Troy, well I agree modern tech can perhaps influence the outcome of a civil war, or even stop one but the sudden taking up of arms (foolish for the plight of Black folk) can only be mildly prevented. The fact you don’t believe it can actually happen lends to that point. Homeland Security, the NSA, and Justice Department is ill-equipped to actually prevent U.S. citizens from attacking each other before some lives are lost. Even if detected first. And, let’s not forget the rationale behind enactment of the 2nd Amendment; fractions within the Government; right to remove tyranny, etc., etc., could possibly cause members of Congress to take sides. Hell, even the military, national guard, and law enforcement are free to choose a side. Several years ago I recall reading information about possible problems with soldiers reluctance in killing other Americans who are members of their own group, Black soldiers killing Black people, White soldiers killing White people. Sorry, but civil war in America is a very real possibility. In my opinion Brexit and other European issues are matters of civil war, only without arms. America isn’t as civil as Europe as there’s not country to break off from. Only States separating from Government rule.
  2. @Troy. I promote, advance and suggest WE DO OVERESTIMATE! Speed matters up a bit. Because if anyone believes matters won’t get worse, review your history notes. More innocent Black blood will be spilled; in the tens of thousands, hell, I’m even anticipating a civil war in America. Every other country in the world have experienced civil war every two hundred year, America is well overdue.
  3. Yes, brother @Delano, be that as it may but dates, in this instance, are barely proof that the Black Panther movement was actually inspired by the comic book, it can support your theory, but inconclusively. To know for sure one would have to ask the founders. Moreover, the word black panther is a common term. Hence, common words, terms, and phases cannot be copyrighted, trademarked or owned by anyone, thus, would not require permission to use. Your argument may be correct as an assessment but not definitive or a conclusive fact. I applaud your persistence in shifting through the data for a truth though. Ever wonder why the original IBM Corp. couldn't copyright the word 'computer'? Because the abacus was the original computer, acknowledged and used worldwide. If it could Africa could sue every school library and person who ever used the words black panther as could Egyptians for use of the word abacus.
  4. Damn Ben Carson, that's the biggest pile of shoveling I've heard in the past two hours! Is that what Carson tells those Black folk living in NYC projects getting meals in boxes replacing food stamps that barely fill a cup; their hunger is in their minds. and living conditions is an imagination? That brother should shoot himself. Though I understand (if not approve) his selfish, greedy soul for sell the highest bidder, giving-up the fight and pulling his pants down for reception. A damn heart or neurosurgeon complacent toward human life. I see why trump made him Secretary of HUD. Just imagine BC in the oval office!
  5. Anything is possible in these uncertain times. But I sincerely doubt White America want DT to even stay in office the remainder of this term; especially since Republicans stand to lose so much because of DT. Poll numbers are unreliable and inconclusive. Think 2016. Furthermore, the Russian scandal is far from over. The bureaucrats won’t let it be over until they’ve had their pound of flesh. That's Trump's administration (the bureaucrats) imposed Russian sanction just hours ago, despite Donald's objections. American and European Jewish influence is hard at work in Congress (6%+) that represent some of the most power corporations and lobbyists in the world can not last or check opposition with White Nationalism on the rise. Notwithstanding their mutual ploy to protect and serve DT without question, the U.S. State of power and international influence has always been Israel’s savior. The State of Israel gives life to Jews worldwide. Suppositions even the media dare to discuss or speculate on. No! Donald Trumps days are numbered in double digits; not because he’s bad president (though he certainly is) but because he’s too flakey, ungrounded and sporadic in nature on sinister issues on hold because of him. E.g., Betsy Devos’ efforts to further marginalized Black school children (schoolroom to jail program), the NRA expansion to African Countries (arming opposition groups on a mass scale - with blessings), rise in antisemitism, and questioning of Christianity, Judaism etc.
  6. Well outlined senario and reasonable summation of facts even I was unaware, stand corrected. What I wonder is ‘will “Black Panther” prove a mixed distraction, poison pill of sorts that sway the Black conversation?
  7. HEY EVERYBODY, hold onto your butts; there’s a lot of chatter about former President Barack and Michelle Obama in talks with Netflix to produce a series of TV shows. I’m almost ready to declare “I told you so” or “I’m surprised’ even before speculation of a debut.
  8. Brothers, brothers, brothers; nothing new under the sun is original. To imply the political activists organization The Black Panther Party was inspired by a comic book character is conjecture at best; at worst it is total disrespect for one of the original, most effective African American youth organizations of 1960’s America. Use of the ‘common name’ black panther does not, can not legally or otherwise infringe on predate usage. BEWARE of efforts designed to delegitmize, demonize Black movements that frighten White America. It’s the same tactic used that (only marginally) finally brought down the Black Panther Party movement. I can not personally call myself a member of the Black Panther Party, but I’ve reached out to some relatives who were original members or supported the movement. Angela Davis, Stanley Deacon Alexander, Charlene Michell, No return comments yet. I can say with certainty, however, the Black Panther logo, mission statement, etc. was not representative of fighting city crime. Not ever racism (at first). They were originally organized as a breakfast program to feed Black children before school. Activities from there are a matter of history. Black youths whose focused, directed anger caused alarm to National security so great that the U.S. Congress, FBI, CIA and local law enforcement employed a think tank for direction in strategy to deal with the ‘black question.’ And why not? The comic book character captured public imagination of a crusader who fought for the underdog but was ultimately denounced by the system. Brother Delano, I understand and respect the anger inside you but, please, brother don’t allow conjecture and wishful thinking to distort the reality you know to be true. Unfortunately, we Black folk really fail to think, rethink, and think again before we express ourselves. And when we do it usually blacken someone’s eye. I somewhat loss it for brother Huey P. when he designed those damn men jeans while in jail, exposing the bottocks. But it helped the brother pull himself up after he was released; his other fastion design projects fail flat.
  9. @Troy. True that!! The much-ado about (actually) nothing should be celebrated by Black folk though, if for nothing more than to keep brothers and sisters minds on the Black experience as opposed to "House of Cards, Hungry Games," etc. I think it's important to look at advantage(s) in even the disadvantages. e.g., at what point does a sleeping Black drug or alcohol abuser wake-up, at what point does a young murderer make positive focus her/his rage? If we get more Black folk talking about and rejecting white ways, simply because they aren’t Black ways raises the anger, if not personal efforts to change. Anger, not rage is the positive emotional response we want to see take shape in our communities. I supported the “Black Panther” by purchasing the film, even as I couldn’t stomach watching it for more than 30 minutes. Brother Delano’s voice and promotion of the film attracts an interested audience, even complaints about accuracy of his depiction. I mean like, if poison kills than it does it’s job, that’s good. I’m learning that being motivated my money is a motivation, that too is good. Messing with poison and money teaches its own lessons and guaranteed to induce change. Ever see a child stick it’s hand on a hot surface twice?
  10. @Troy. Clever economic strategy, wouldn’t you say? Made to withstand and time tested! Get them young, make sure they’re unemployable, use the statistic to appropriate more resources and use a small portion of the resources to underpay (only) some in low wage jobs causing frustration to turn into recidivism. While most just relinquish all hope to upward mobility making room for the next generation of social deviants. And it’s all of legal policy, just morally and dangerously unsound. Who says ‘chaos’ is useless?
  11. Interesting order of your response, ridiculous then sympathy. Thank you I myself, first employ a method whenever I go to funnerals; I ask someone to let me hold the baby, helps me make distance between me and the corpse. The more I'm forced to focus on the body the more he/she obviously meant to me. Stupid I know, but for me it works. When I see a white person weepping I picture an infant. Therein lay my experience.
  12. @Troy. Do you sumit there’s a difference in the prey or the difference in the way the influence is taken? Either or both, I agree. However, based on the definition of ‘culture’ (the ideas, customs, and social behaviour of a particular people or society) it is necessarily synonymous with the hegemony (those of influence or authority over others) white folk. Is it not?
  13. Please help me with a research question, anyone (everyone) about watching a White person (weep) cry. Notwithstanding the reason, or thinking about personalizing the image; just a White face shedding tears. What emotion(s) do you experience, thoughts come to your mind, empathy, indifference, fear, hate, what? If you have no emotional experience, or prefer not to say, please explain why? Please provide as much details as you'er comfortable with.
  14. Thank you again brother Delano, although I doubt Black inmates in LA Angola prison experience a ‘warped reality.’ In fact, as I watch this documentary I’m inclined to believe Angola strengthens Black reality to the white agenda. I get a little more angry every time a tear try to form in my eye. A fourteen year sentenced to life for the questionable rape of white women who says she’ could not ID the suspect’ because all n_____’s look alike. Yet convicted by an all white jury. The only thing that bothers me more is this damn idea behind the word ‘hope.’ That all this shit takes place on the watch of the damn United States Supreme Court that teases Black America with an invisible promise dressed-up in a word. Yes, everybody is to blame, even me, for this great tragedy!, human beings, not killed but forbid to live. Truth is, every time I watch the news there at home (the U.S.), read news media reports and talk with fellow American tourists visiting here I resolve more to see no home there, never to return. Maybe!
  15. Choices people make are almost always based on what they want to know and what they want. Both are satisfied by trying to join, or submitting to the will of those in charge. What we already know determines the approach. Europeans are the gatekeepers of American culture, regardless of one’s national origin. Even Asians and Latinos mimic white culture (Right Troy) on the economic front and will blame democracy that forbid indulgence. I recently had the pleasure of watching Black Panther but couldn’t finish because it seemed so void of a critical or speculative depiction of crucial issues facing Black folk. No stomach for entertainment these days, I guess! On the one hand. On the other hand Black Panther may fit in well for a sociology textbook just as hydrographics drawn on cave walls in Egypt. Which incidentally, serves no purpose other than to entertain human curiosity and provide some historical data of how ancient folk kept financial records or tales about food sources. Again, economics. Let us remember when we speak of culture, it is the ideas, beliefs, and traditions of society, as well as illustrate the arts and man’s intellect. The U.S. Constitution is not a myth; it is a human perception of how rich folk sees life. The death penalty and forced taxation is no fantasy either. Rather these are customary policies designed for the people, not by the people. But we all go along with the ball of confusion to fit in and not be outcasts.
  16. Very critical share, Delano, thank you, information of ill-intended methods aimed to discourage and test Black resilience while simultaneously labeling Blacks as social deviants. Whether it’s a traffic ticket, breaking a meter seal to keep the family warm in winter, or arrest for sleeping on a park bench, mass incarceration of Black folk has always been to discourage upward mobility. And the new ‘broken windows’ policing policy help get it done. And it works, for the most part because our reality has become twisted. I.e., (in my opinion) at each release or acquittal (if a Blackman or woman is lucky) their anger or solution of determination always attempt to rebound by trying to line our pockets believing some money is the solution. Unfortunately, a Black person with any infraction, of any law limits options to get some money; jobs justifiably deny employment and with no means to invest Blacks are stuck, or run over in the rat race to succeed. Try stepping over the crowd, another offense! One can only wonder why the media, labor department, and Government administration constantly fail to acknowledge disparity in Black unemployment numbers. Could it be 8.8% Black unemployment vs 4.5% White unemployment mean at bustling economy, or the ultimate psych-out? While HUD Secretary Ben Carson (just purchased a $1.2 million home for less than $500 thousand) remain powerless to influence policy to help Black families, but instead helps himself and credited with demonstrating equal housing opportunities. Though he did cancel his wife’s purchase of a $30,000 table for his office under public pressure. I mean let’s face it, there’s only more night on the horizon for Black folk while most Whites never have to worry about ‘daylight’ savings time. Again, pessimum totalling intended!
  17. The political platform of the Republican party used to be the platform of Democrats in 1860 that saw good and bad guys of plutocratic means win elections and policy. Contrary to the state of modern ignorance, elitists wealth served as only an idol for the populists, poor people respected the rich as most capable of leading the country because they were wealthy. Wealthy Republicans who dominated northern States advocated protections for African Americans and advanced social justice which Democrats largely opposed. Tables have since turned. Today, with both parties having had their turn at the moral code of the human condition plate the (tell all) missing factor is seemingly taking shape where both parties are coming together (gradually) as two parties of one vision, one priority, one voice. Stances and compromises on healthcare, immigration, (middleground) foreign policy, and the white power movement is forcing people to make a choice. Consequently, Congress and institution leaders most all identify as of European origin with only scattered non-white exceptions; all of whom adhere to the call of opportunity either for group or personal benefit. Jews who identify with their own, or Israel, champion many social causes as opportunists prepared to do whatever is necessary to protect their own. The likes of Ben Carson, Herman Cain, and even Barack Obama have on occasion (with little or no choice) chosen to dance with the devil to hear the angels sing. ‘Give and take’ to appease a few of the people is second to authoritarian dictator rules for all the people, whether they want it or not. Shrewd, bold unchallenged power bringing together the like minded for common goals or to share a small taste of the American dream is the new bipartisan bribery of politics. Only time can tell which U.S. platform will prevail in a world where more nations increasingly find democracy a hindrance to progress of their worldview. The common thread being white superiority vying for power among themselves and recruiting non-whites as allies or making them casualties under the guise of ‘survival of the fittest.’ Life has always been one of constant input of varied causes to human existence addressed in kind with varied effects that’s only made matters worse throughout history. Xenophobia or indifference to oddities seems to be the fuel that drives the likes of Donald Trump. Fear drives the people; whether fear for family well being, of hell, poverty, or health, we define the good fight. Others define methods for dealing with them. This writer is of the opinion that even if aliens attack earth, some with attempt to ally with them to enhance their own power. Is this world even capable of coming together to confront a common foe, or has adversary become too powerful? Pessimism totally intended!!
  18. It is obvious White supremacy is a global problem, and Black folk is learning how to do 'White' fast; savagery of White folk is no excuse for us to do as they do! The problem of Black people is Black people, not White people; not only doing as they say but also, doing as they do. Attitudes of ethnocentrism, xenophobia, and greed (in all humans) have been a universal dilemma since man learned to communicate. Additionally, over time, humans have learned to identify right and wrong behavior as well as means of checking wrongs against what is right. But instead of checking what is wrong, we adopt the wrong behavior. Jews have (debatably) over 6,000 years of being mistreated by virtually every society on earth, Black folk have (perhaps) even more; yet, Jews are doing to Palestinians what was done to them; and Black folks are doing to each other what Whites are doing to us now. One does not have to be a rocket scientist or even educated to understand White supremacy, what it does, or how it works. Moreover, failure to understand it is no less confusing than failure to understand where we want to be in a White man’s world. Most, if not all, Black folks know what we are doing to our bodies, minds, and hearts when we go the hairdresser, grocery store, or chat with the neighbor. Indeed, what is confusing is our attempt to justify our wrong behavior in name of equality or a constitutional civil right. What’s going on in Libya can (as you suggest) be attributed to Africa’s failure to purge itself of European ways. Because it did not, however, is no excuse for selling their own people today. Thoughtful response!!
  19. 400+ years of social & economic disparity, white supremacy has dazed Black folks psych and focus. Now, ineffective struggles for ‘change’ have transformed Black demands into a monster, with an eye on ‘replacing’ White hegemony (with our own brand of oppression) as a solution to Black disparity. Power does, indeed, corrupt! Instead of continuing a united fight for control over Black lives as a whole, we struggle for equality, equal opportunity to oppress; alongside White folks. In Libya, Blacks have reverted back to the slave trade (selling their own people), some Europeans and other countries are buying them. “Oh, but they are animals. That could never happen in America, not again.” It’s what White folks say too! Really? Education Secretary, Betsy Devos, policies furthering aspects of the ‘hidden curriculum’ in schools is already preparing Black children towards a (forced) labor market permanent policy. Many Black parents, Black education leaders support these efforts (they’ve been duped into believing is good) will benefit the Black community at large. And that’s just one of the many first hints, a revelation of the larger and more complex struggles to come! From Harriet Tubman to Malcolm X, they feared something was not right with the freedoms we sought or equality available only to the controlling White class. But we struggle to get it anyhow, “if you can’t defeat them, join them.” By any means necessary is the age-old rationale, for survival; the Black justification flavor for spreading evil.

  21. It’s harder, than ever, these days to see the bright side of life, what with reality the way it is. Suffering imminent, never ending pain, reminiscent, expand a good plan some evil is collected. All is well in love and war, child victims, seniors - sore no more, snuggled in bunks, hope drunks. It used to be, expression is free, disappointment, now the price to throw the dice, and nothing left but breathe, from God, hope drunk. For the best candidate a bullet bump, in secret, hope drunk. Benefits, saved for a few, who knew, insistent, demanding positive thinking order of the day and those in a slump, hope drunk. A golden watch, a fish dinner, a thank you for support, and with nothing more, shown the door. A life insurance policy, satisfied, died in a dump, hope drunk. In reality the same way, celebrate defeat on the seat of dismay. The problem before was not the score, a punk, hope drunk
  22. Black the beautiful, naturally kinky hair, natural walk, and talk, values traded for the almighty dollar. African American is led down many roads to envy, feelings of discontent and a resentful itch caused by the possessions, qualities, and dumb luck of white America. The problems we face lay just behind the facade of the greatest lie ever told; that enslave, imprison, kill, and steal distinction of Black folk. We’re given a title that separates us, African American; and left confused about who we are or want to be. And don’t even realize it! And we agonize over debasement of our Black children, worry for their safety and wonder how matters got so far out-of-hand in-spite of our (so-called) successful accomplishments. We dismiss the straight hair conversion, bleaching cream discoloration, and our fortunes over the unfortunate as part of the problem. We are content, over happiness with what we’ve become. Village elders molest the children, instead of help rearing them, while the children compete, one with the other, in fatal games designed in the name of freedom. As the band plays on, joints and needles are distributed to soothe and to celebrate our individuality. African American is led down many roads to envy, satisfied or dismissed by material possessions. The band plays on to satisfy our perverted needs; we're almost like White and White folks.
  23. Thank you brother, Troy, I see it an honor to be featured on AALBC.com site! Headshot, okay, but I won’t be held responsible for any complaints; the camera hates me as much as I hate cameras. Thought, among other competencies, I am a registered photojournalist (International Press Card ID #29410 (Photographer) United States Press Agency) unofficially since annual fees lapse. But Israel doesn’t know! Not sure whether I’m permitted, or if it is wise to identify ISBN until graduate review board completion. However, I believe it is okay to publicize University of Alaska undergrad SAP ePortfolio , I hope it’s okay. I do not have any other, except academic works, published material, yet. What did I do to get sent to Alaska, everyone always asks, the answer, EVERYTHING! I'm not a spy or Mossad, nor associated with any terrorist groups. Though I do endorse the Black Panther Party, contrary to profound ignorance, they are not a street gang. Are you sure you want to feature the likes of me on this distinguished Black website? Thank you
  24. Yes, brother, it is! A trilogy, subject to change.
  25. I say, "may" because of the time I spent with her from during her trial involving the San Quintin Six (United National Community to Free Angela Davis and Political Prisoners), her disposition of Black professionals and politics. Yes, she is very insightful.
