  1. Richard Shelby is a white elected official but I think his style is missing with black elected officials to black municipal districts, so not people like eric adams or former president barack obama but the city council/state assembly/house of representative members in the usa who are black and cover municipalities with over 90% black population. The question is simple, if you are in a black district <over80% black populace> shouldn't your black elected representative look to provide as much money as possible to the district you live in? Agree or disagree, please state your why? read the full article https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=2187&type=status

  3. Hello Folks. Just stopping by to extend Holiday Greetings, and inform that I'm still alive and kickin', doing OK. I do check things out here occasionally, hoping to find something that captivates my interest, (avoiding the verbal diarrhea of black unity's main proponent), grateful for the Pepto Bismo Kenneth always provides with his insightful observations. My cynicism, as usual, prevails and I remain indifferent about the "what-black-folks-need-to-do" litany. In my opinion, black folks are ironically becoming enslaved by racism, aided and abetted by a vocal minority sending the message that unless African Americans are absolved and excused of all wrong doing and rewarded and compensated by being disproportionately represented in every field of endeavor, the debt of slavery will never be paid. But there's a world of difference between this black narrative and reality because, as everybody agrees, there is so much diversity among people of color that no one group can speak for all. I also agree with Troy who often suggests that class is really what categorizes. The politics of Liberalism and Conservatism are what polarize. in spite of everything, I remain a moderate Trump-hatin-Democrat. One reason I am not really upset about the direction toward which the lbgtq movement is taking Society is because unless everybody is everything, there will be no equality. The coming generations will adjust. They are the future. What say you, Del? Back to my cave.
  4. This post continues to be the most popular conversation on our forums over the last 30 days -- viewed over 9,100 times and more than 7,600 unique visitors. What will it take to get more people to comment? Even 1 percent of visitors shared their thoughts that would be 76 additional posters. When I allowed guest posts (posting without creating accounts) there was more participation, but that opened the floodgates to spam, so I had to shut off guest posting. @Pioneer1 here are some conspiracy theories for you 🙂 : (1) I believe "big-social" is behind the spamming of discussion forums. The know spamming forums make them harder to manage and forcing administrators to require logins. This reduces participation and therefore competition. (2) Racists troll Black forums to prevent Black forums from thriving while sowing dissent in the Black community. (This one I'm actually inclined to believe, as there is ample evidence of it)
  5. I hear you. Arguing, debating, or trying to convince someone to change their point of few is difficult. I used to think this was because I was lacking on some level; my argument was weak or I was not being persuasive enough. But I've learned there is often resistance to seeing things differently. If a so-called white person believes Black people are genetically inferior. Convincing them otherwise is very difficult especially if they were raised in a white racist society like America. Even when geneticists tell us that a Black person can have more in common, genetically, with any given white person, than another white person, people will still cling to white racist ideas. When you say "true of them," I'm sure you will acknowledge that this does not have to match objective truth otherwise known as reality. White superiority is a lie, a point I still think is worth arguing. 🙂
  6. Sexism and homophobia are issues white folks would rather address instead of dealing with America's original sin of slavery. AfroAmericans should not be overly impressed by white folks who appear to be allies for the following reasons to name a few: 1) we have no idea of their ulterior motive 2) they have consistently flipped the script to their benefit 3) to this day our civil rights have to be ratified every so often 4) there's no real conversation about reparations. A wolf in sheep's clothing is the best way to view white folks who claim to be allies but have zero real interest in dismantling the system of racism white supremacy. 😎
  7. In Slavery Black Women were physically abused by their husbands.
  8. I think I have not been clear. Perhaps I should make an addendum to clarify my statement. Upon conception, the following is not known, gender, sexual prefernce, or nationality. What is known is colour. And Systematic racism is concerned with that unborn colour primarily. I am well aware of intersectionality being exposed to by circa 1986. Intersectionality is not an unknown topic to me. I feel that racism is just a cover for class warfare. There's a quote by a Black Women Rapper. She said being a Black Women is like being Black twice. Blacks are discriminated against by skin color more so than any other attribute. Since skin color is obvious the choice of criminality, sexual preference, dialect are used a s secondary or tertiary demarcation of disapproval. Although it is a weaker argument color is harder to hide than sexuality or gender. However there are men and perhaps women who are sexist but not racist.
  9. Dr. Umar Johnson touched on it a little in the last minute of this video: But it's naive and pollyannish to sit up and think that Hollywood and the entertainment industry that is controlled by White racists aren't using the music and movies to pump messages of self-destruction and negativity into the minds of our youth and most vulnerable populations for the purposes of control and manipulation. Clearly they are....and they've BEEN doing it....and there's plenty of evidence that they have. In the age of the internet all you have to do is Google "mind control through music/movies" and you'll get page after page of the different strategies White racists have been using to manipulate the minds of people. So now that you KNOW it's happening, it's a matter of Black folks simply sticking their heads in the sand like ostriches and pretending that what they clearly are seeing "doesn't exist"
