  1. 1st, I asked for a list of tangible benefits Democrats have provided for Black folks. You offered a nothing burger. You're right...Republicans flooded Black communities with drugs. Followed up by Democrats who created mandatory-minimum prison sentencing primarily aimed at Black folks. 1, 2 punch. Two sides of the same coin. According to my research and the article you linked, Thomas Jefferson was really neither Democrat nor Republican so political scientists have coined him as a Democrat-Republican. @Stefan, your desire to defend your position to the point of trying to insult others is comedic. But, I thoroughly enjoy your contributions to the discussions. The "bullcrap" I bring to this discussion forum helps to keep it enlightening and entertaining especially when you disappear and wander off into the wilderness for days and weeks at a time. My easy chair is comfy. Rest assured that I'll still be here calling balls and strikes and giving my opinion on everything a regular basis or until @Troy turns off the lights. Otherwise, we can go round for round and pound for pound. I'm the undisputed king of insults if/when I choose to go that route. Stay up patna. 😎

  4. I I don't feel the need to justify my position or behaviour. Apparently in that moment I didn't have something better to do, since I responded. I thought it was an interesting question. About years ago in the Brooklyn Moon cafe I was having a tea. The following thought popped into my head, "Why do you think that you are right?" I realised we generally think we are right until experience or revelations dispel this ongoing illusion. Recently I was ruminating on why this seems to be the case. Why most people seem to resistance to obvious truths. Perhaps because our life an open book we need an internal narrative, oherwise we would be crushed by nihilism or lack of meaning. So it is more practical although not beneficial to have a false sense of justification. Another group that I member of had the follow response. Nearly every said that if they didn't have delusions the wouldn't have hope. Which was a striking comments since I felt that I was shedding delusions. Simultaneously I was also feeling a lack of hope, both personally and on a lager scale. In closing in a strange way I feel an affinity to Pioneer moment's of introspection and subsequent revelations. This is the second one I recall. As an aside most of the time when I respond it isn't so much to convince but rather to solve a conundrum that the post presents. Sometimes my response is not solely for the querent. I used to love a good argument. Now I prefer finding illuminating patterns. @Cynique I posted a clip that explains my time markers. I am going deeper into the rabbit hole. With patterns and numbers. Since the beginning of this year I felt that July and August would be important month for me. Especially July 12 - 26. It has been an interesting period and I am seeing some changes. Time markers it is a set of symbols. Each symbol is an idea and a number. The number component is non decimal so I have been thinking in this symbol set and non base 10. So anything that can be named or quantified has additional meaning. So I am getting answers, to questions I haven't asked. I don't know if it is related but I have also been able to manifest a few things. Are you still phase shifting. What was weird or confronting probably seems common place and comfortable. Your thinking patterns are your perspective. WHAT IS METATHINKING? Metathinking enables complex thinking skills. It involves the practice of reflecting on one’s own thoughts. When we recognise patterns in our thinking, we can notice what might be missing from our thinking and, from there transform our thinking and become more fluid, complete and creative thinkers. https://metathinking.org/
  5. Everyone talks about the absent father but not too many in our culture discuss our toxic moms. There have been quite a few articles lately that discuss the generational trauma and disconnect between black mothers and daughters. As a survivor of child abuse, when I speak to other survivors, every woman in the room discusses how toxic their mother was. It took some time, but I finally gained perspective about my mom and the stories I've been told. Hopefully, this book will help others begin to heal. The genre will be inspirational fiction and span from slavery to the current generation; I may include a future generation as well. I've been outlining it over these last few months and will start writing next month. I'm going to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, AL for inspiration. I'm so excited about this next book because I finally get to incorporate my African American Studies degree from Howard. The spirit moved me so I designed the book cover this week.
  6. The search engine tools are great for sharing knowledge and information. Technology makes those individuals who are so inclined to be more self-sufficient. Of course, the downside is that technology can also give folks the false sense of subject matter expert minus years of study and hands-on experience. I'm running across too many folks with these G88gle PhDs especially when it comes to medical sh8t.😁 Take that goofy azz to a hospital when feeling sick and/or in pain. Let a real doctor check it out. 🤣 I get calls from homeowners who've thought they could tackle home improvement projects after watching a few videos. When I show up with the *right* tools and expertise to either do the job or un-f8ck what they've done...the look of surprise is priceless. Otherwise, for most simple problems, the solutions are a available. Being equipped to solve the problem is required as well. @Pioneer1, thanks for sharing the word. Glad you've got your computer and TV hooked up too. 😎

Well it's about time. Now we're making progress......lol
  8. If he was alive today, wonder what Booker T. Washington would have to say in regard to what Florida plans to teach about slavery. Washington was a great believer in the population of freed slaves learning trades because doing so would provide decent employment since they couldn't aspire to the higher professions. That's why so many HBCU colleges have A&M (Agriculture and Mechanics) in their names because that was what they originally taught. Even today young blacks are again being encouraged to consider vocational schools instead of colleges because having a useful skill is a plus. The black narrative is adamantly against attributing anything useful to slavery, but being in circumstances that allowed one to become a craftsman actually could prove advantageous. Slavery was apparently God's will, but black folks are magnanimous when it comes to forgiving Him for subjecting them to 400 years of it. I, for one, wish the :"good" lord had allowed my ancestors to leave Africa voluntarily to seek their fortune in America because I have never been enthusiastic about Africa. Yeah, i said it!. Bring it on. And no matter what others claim about Democrats I still prefer them over Republicans, especially the current crop who continue to support that asshole donald tRump who I have nothing but contempt for! Good Night All. Back to contemplating whether there is life after death. Wooooo
  9. I don't think we can ever tell if something is absolutely true, including what i just said. All that we see or seem Is just a dream within a Dream. Maybe
  10. @ProfD at the end of the day, which presidential candidate are you voting for the Republican or the the democrat? Did you vote for Trump or Clinton. Did you vote for Obama or McCain? if you made a choice then you’d have to concede we are talking about different coins as it relates to the political parties. Still we have been abused by both — all political parties since we’ve been on these shores, but surely you appreciate there is currently, a lessor of two evils here.

@Pioneer1 i would not be so hard on people who don’t buy a new car every 5 years. the average car on the road today is a hoopty, as the average car is more than 12 years old. The average price of a new car today is twice what it was in 1970. Houses are also much more experience. Today everyone in the average home has to work for a halfway decent lifestyle (adequate shelter, clothing, food and a free amenities like a cell phone or going to the movies) 50 years ago a single highschool educated man could afford to provide for an entire family. “failure” would not be an accurate description, as the company is profitable and given the business environment, earning $1B could be considered a success. But i get Wall Street wants to see an increase in profits year over year, but the context matters. Even if the company loses money — even for a decade or more does not make it a failure, consider Amazon. …. So i agree with @Pioneer1 on this one 😮
  12. Yes to race as a Social Construct As it is a social construct....it could be either given the expediency of the political nuances of the dominant class of the time. The Dominant class dictates where you fall in the so called Racial Categorization....The Oppressed has no choice in the matter Such individuals will face questions from both sides...One side will be saying they are "sell outs" and the other will be the are "Honorable". Do such individuals exist...Yes - though I would call them black according to my understanding of racial categorization which it must be understood is every changing according to politics of the time. Whether or not some one is white or black is dictated by the dominant class....look no further than Enrico Tarrio ex leader of the the far right Proud Boys. True.
  13. I preface this comment by saying that I am a Christian. I have many life long light skinned Black friends and relatives, who I would not trade for anyone else. Universally generalizing on people because of their skin color, perhaps is not the best way to view the present or the past. Having said all of that, history and the present gives witness that ‘some’ light skinned mulattoes thought themselves ‘better than’ phenotypical Blacks in history, even until today. In my city ‘down South’, the light skin mulattoes on the other side of ‘Main Street’, have their own clubs, churches and cliques. On the other hand, there are many light skinned mulattoes on 'my side' of ‘Main Street’, I don't know if they even care to be a part of that society. Most light skinned mulattoes of my side of ‘Main Street’ married dark skinned spouses. On the other side of ‘Main Street’, they maintain light skinned progeny. We see the same types of divisions at Howard U. in the District, and light skinned churches along Rhode Island Ave. The same way that many light skinned mulattoes may be ‘fakin and shakin’ that they are ‘Black’, many more Blacks are ‘fakin and shakin that they are Black, but really want to be White,. And they are the main betrayers of the Black race. No sense of race uplift, nor of racial unity. Can’t universally generalize on people. Can’t universally condemn people. The most dangerous 'Negroes' are those that repent to the Lord that they were born Black, (there must have been some mistake in Heaven), and ask the Lord to wash them ‘White as snow’, like Tina Turner. Who want to be buried in White graveyard in Europe, away from all the other ‘dirty’ Negroes, praying to a ‘White’ God for salvation. Who see ‘whiteness in itself’’ as sanctimoniousness and truth. Who don’t want to count Biden’s HIMARS systems and cluster bombs from the U.S. that are killing thousands of Russian peasant prawns daily, that Putkin forces into his army. Who pray to that White 'god'. These are the most dangerous ‘Negroes’ on the Earth, who see ‘Whiteness’ as truth and godliness, throughout the Black Baptist church, Negroes on ‘the other side’ of Eight Mile Road in Detroit, and those in the after-life clasping the hands of those of the Holy Roman Catholic Church (big time slavery theologies). Watch the effect of Biden’s new student loan foregiveness plan, its effect on Social Security payments in the future. Biden is dealing from the bottom of the deck, on student loan forgiveness. Someone will have to pay for the amounts of debt not collected by SALLIE MAE regarding these rich White people, who were just given a free education by Biden, and it is being paid for by the blue collar working grunts. The Black fellow named King who ran into North Korea a few days ago, the prodigal son, who needs our help and prayers. Florida group telling Blacks what they can and can’t teach, is more White b___ s____.
  14. When you don't control anything thing this is what happens. The Black people who should have our collective attention are those who were targeted by the Conitelpro. You can be certain these brother and sisters were the "right" Black folks. For example, one minute Black Lives Matter, matters and the next minute it doesn't. It always ends up depending more upon market forces and the whims of the media rather than a positive impact on our people. I like to debate, but in the real world I don't get to do it very much. In the last few years, I've spent most of my free time with women and none of them like to debate -- at least not with me. They usually take it personally, shut down, or simply avoid the activity. I had a female friend years ago who used to like to debate and we'd sometime argue, but she never took it personally or too seriously to end our friendship. She used to say I was "incorrigible." I had to look up the word when she first called me that 🙂 She was a natural fighter, a female warrior. Online however, I'm more likely to challenge another's ideas, that I would in person. I think debating racists or dysfunctional Black people is largely a waste of time. These people are incorrigible. Back when @frankster debated the last racist who posted here, I found that valuable, not because I though the racist would change, but because the way he replied to each point would be valuable to those really interested in learning to understand our predicament. @Pioneer1 one thing I have noticed is that you do not seem to be willing to change your position -- I don't recall seeing it happen. When presented with compelling evidence you disparage it in one way or another, calling it the white man's science or something like that... Also, I would not take everything said here seriously. I don't recall the context of these statements, but you know people tease, say things for effect, exaggerate, and occasionally make ad hominem comments (not me of course 😉
