  1. It reduces confusion and perversion. I'd be slightly curious to know how her standards may have changed over time with the realities of life, aging and gravity. When that pretty face gets plump or wrinkled and that banging body looks like an upside down pear, standards do change. If unmarried in her 40s and 50s, I doubt she'll be still holding on to those same beliefs. She'll be throwing that snatch box at any dude who's willing to feed her.
  2. This is easy to do for both parties especially if they believe half the population is already dumb in one way or another. It would stand to reason thinking that way when poor and middle class people are voting for people unlike themselves. Right. It's easy to cater to fears and beliefs regardless of realism. Right. The Democrats have to do find a better way of addressing the needs of the people; reading the room and getting their messages across accordingly. It might be a moot point if naysayers are correct in believing there will be no more free and fair elections. According to them, America will be red for the never several decades.
  3. Right. At some point, an adult has to grow up and not worry about what other people think. Standing on one's own principles and beliefs will feel better in the long run.
  4. The Democrats thought POTUS PJB would serve one term and turn over the reigns to someone else. Supposedly, around the mid-term election, POTUS PJB changed his mind and planned to stay in the game. The Democrats knew he wasn't in shape to serve another term but they didn't force POTUS PJB to give up the keys. Same way POTUS Obama couldn't convince former SCOTUS RBG to step down because she was old and let him appoint a younger liberal SCOTUS. You're right...the Democrats had more than enough time to groom another candidate to succeed POTUS PJB. They failed to do so and gambled and lost.
  5. You're right...Black folks in America have no real power to leverage in a constructive and productive way. Hopefully, Black folks will learn from the last election that special and permanent interests motivate politicians. It's not about blind loyalty to a political party. I comprehend. You're right...without unity within tribes and strategic alliances between them and establishing goals, Blacks folks are powerless and spinning their wheels. Point taken with regard to stop telling tribes what to do as well. It's easy enough to retreat into cocoons and silos. We already do it across cultures. The next 4 years will not adversely affect me in one way or another. I can sit back in my easy chair with food, drinks and snacks as the circus rolls through town.
  6. Context is important. The *mistake* Democrats made was long before POTUS PJB stepped aside and VP Harris was thrown in the mix. Grooming a political candidate takes time. Even if she was interested, there's no way Democrats could have selected former FLOTUS Obama as nominee and gotten up to speed in 4 months. Former FLOTUS Obama would have fared no better than or probably done worse than VP Harris. We'll never know. Hindsight always seems to come out 20/20 or better.
  7. As a young person, I stayed in the suburbs with my grandparents during summer breaks. Where they lived, it was predominantly Black folks too. In those suburbs, the only interaction with non-Black folks I'd see was playing sports at the rec center. A few white folks would show up to play football, baseball or basketball. Didn't pay attention to whether or not there was any attraction among them one way or another. So, from my experience, I cannot say there's a difference between 40 years ago and now. I'd imagine some folks from liberal California would tell us that white men have been attractive to non-white women for several decades. Racism may have kept it the low. Like the alphabet soup community, everything has come out of the closet.
  8. Sure jealousy and possessiveness may be flattering to a degree. Especially among younger folks. But, with maturity, those traits pale in comparison to a man's ability to take care of a woman's real needs which are some form of security (financial, physical, status, etc.). Facts. When humans discover their s8xuality, it's not based on love. It's hormonal. That's why people have s8x for pleasure. It has little or nothing to do with love. Tina Turner sang it best after her ordeal..."what's love got to do with it. What's love but a second-hand emotion." The western world places a heavy emphasis on love because it's a selling point in capitalistic societies. Weddings, jewelry stores, Hallmark holidays and other businesses thrive around the concept of love. Many non-westeners laugh at our concept of love when it comes to relationships. Especially in cultures where marriages are arranged, they believe folks can grow to love each other over time. Since I grew up a capitalistic society and love money, I don't begrudge those who profit from people falling in love and spending a bag of money on it.
  9. POTUS does have some influence in foreign policy decision-making. That's why experience in foreign policy becomes a talking point in qualifications. As a Black man 1st and AfroAmerican, I don't believe the US should be more involved to the point of meddling in African affairs. Africans should have the autonomy to run their own countries as they choose when it comes to both constructive and productive endeavors. Foreigners should only be trade partners. No way should foreigners be controlling resources and influencing political decisions and ultimately determining how Africans live, thrive and survive. They don't need the hand of white supremacy. They're better off without it. Neither the US, Russia nor China has another country meddling in its affairs. Africa suffers by remote and direct control.
  10. Sure I believe it. Already happened. Former POTUS Obama was the last Black charismatic political figure. Many Black folks voted for POTUS Obama just because he's Black. More than half the country got behind POTUS Obama's message of hope and change. Stuck with him for 8 years too. The half who voted for POTUS Obam would include folks of all stripes. The half that didn't vote for POTUS Obama would include folks all of stripes including Black people. Charismatic figures are often discovered, groomed and elevated into positions of power and influence. For several reasons, the Democratic party chose not to go that route. Instead they played the poker hand dealt and came up short on the river.
  11. Definitely possible. Regardless of age. Love and s8x are not inextricably linked especially for women. They can fall in love for non-s8xual reasons. Understood. There may not be enough wealthy black men for every wealthy Black woman. You're definitely entitled to your position especially since there's nothing you can do about it. I don't like beets. That's not gonna stop farmers norpeople from growing and consuming them. Hopefully they don't walk away thinking you're some crazy old dude yelling at clouds.
  12. Times change especially as people grow up in different environments. Black people who grow up in mixed environments are exposed to non-Black people. You're looking at it from a s8xual point of view. Attraction is based on several factors especially once people mature beyond s8xual desires. The f8cking is gonna happen if that's what two people decide to do. How they get there is based on some level of mutual attraction. Your perspectives are often based on a 40 year old looking glass. You're not lying based on VGQ. I do not recall it from the same perspective because I grew up in a chocolate city that had very few non-Black fokks in it. 40 years ago, my environment was very different from a place like NYC where all types of people are mixed together. Again, if there was any change at all, it would be 1) environment, 2) maturity level and 3) expectations. Younger folks have s8x for fun. As women get their older, there s8xual needs become tied to tangible benefits...money, status, security, power, etc.
  13. Those are examples of people voting their interests and beliefs instead of emotions and blind loyalty.
  14. Sold out is relative. The millions of people who support POTUS OJ is a sold out circus.
  15. I was thinking in terms of what we've seen over the past half-century or so. But you're right, religous movements fragmented Black folks further back. Same goes for organizations. Even if we cannot decide what's right and wrong the law will be a tie-breaker.
  16. Right. Regardless of admiration, validation or acceptance, IMO, marching to the beat of one's own drum is better than being a lemming or sheep. Thinking for self may not be admired but it's still better than the alternative.
  17. Aliens to adults is what Santa Claus is to children. So, adults are willing to waste a sh8t ton of money believing in aliens, paranormal activities and anything else of fantasy.
  18. As @richardmurray points out, Black folks are fractured into tribes. AfroAmericans have been sub-divided by several factors including class, status, orientation, religious beliefs, politics, etc Integration was the beginning of our sub-division. With over a half-century of counter-programming, it would take a herculean effort and movement to codify an AfroAmerican community capable of making America a more perfect union for us. There are no charismatic AfroAmerican leaders folks are willing to follow. Pulpit pimps don't count.
  19. Nothing should be expected. That won't stop them from wasting taxpayer money.
  20. That might happen less than 30 days under the new administration. Mandatory vaccines seem to have been relaxed already.
  21. The history of this country shows that it's not ready for a female POTUS. Considering the current state of affairs, a dude dressed like Mrs. Doubtfire could win against a more qualified woman.
  22. Maybe those women are finding white men attractive.
  23. The MAGA movement is real. POTUS OJ used his reality TV experience to create a prime time circus.
  24. So, we're not going to believe she met and fell in love with the man behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones. There's a 25 year age difference between Hobson (55) and Lucas (80). She doesn't have to worry about him pressing for s8x.
  25. Floyd Mayweather Jr. still has a perfect record. Money is the only reason they agree to these exhibition fights. Need the great white hype to sell the fight. An unknown or lesser known fighter won't suffice. Iron Mike is over 50 years old. Surely, he doesn't have anything to prove. Clearly, Iron Mike is willing to sacrifice his boxing legacy for a quick pay day. As a boxing fan, even I wouldn't watch those money-grab exhibitions.
