U.S. Congress House Speaker Re-Elected 2025
ProfD replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
That's a small faction of the GOP in Congress who pretend to be more conservative than the rest. Yep. Back in 2008, that was a faction of the GOP. Didn't last long before they fell back in line. Democrats have their own factions within the party which most recently is The Squad. I'm less concerned with how all of these clowns brand themselves. They need to do their jobs instead of using the pulpit to get attention. -

To your point, my problem with that line of belief or teaching is why those advanced Black beings haven't replaced racism white supremacy with a system of justice. Just like Religion, Science Fiction and Fantasy, Black folks create larger than life or highly intelligent figures as a form of deflection and/or escapism from reality. -

True. He wasn't the kinda crazy who gets on the swing set while its raining outside. Yep. PTSD is very real too. The fact that they both had women problems is a flag. This dude influencing policy in terms of food and drugs is going to be interesting. -

Right. They're also reporting his woman left and accused him of being a cheater. Thankfully, he only killed himself instead of taking others too. However, if he had a military career, he should have been in a position to find another woman. No need to unalive yourself over one snatch box. PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is a very real thing especially for those who have seen and/or done horrible things in their military service. -
https://apnews.com/live/mike-johnson-speaker-congress-updates GOP House Speaker Mike Johnson won re-election today with 218 votes. The GOP Freedom Caucus threatened to oust Rep. Johnson but POTUS-elect was always behind him. No way Johnson was going to lose the gavel. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (Dem) won 215 votes. As customary, he handed the gavel over to the House Speaker. Rep. Byron Donalds received 1 vote. Of course, he's just happy to be the GOP chief water-boy. Remains to be seen how productive government will be with the GOP essentially controlling all three branches of it. No excuses in terms of opposition.

New Orleans Bourbon Street Attack on New Year's Day
ProfD replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
To date, neither Putin or Netanyahu has been charged with any crimes. He went through the same sh8t that sets so many people off to commit murder and/or suicide. The United States averages about 20k murders per year. Must be something in the air or water. -
New Year's Day Truck Explosion in Las Vegas
ProfD replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Right now, there are countries where this type of sh8t just doesn't happen. Mexico (33k) and the United States (22k) lead the world in homicides. Meanwhile, Japan has a population of 125 million with only 912 murders in a year. It shouldn't take a few hundred thousand years for people in the most developed country on the planet to stop killing each other. Unfortunately, America has an underlying condition that has not bee treated. -

@richardmurray, as you have pointed out several times, Black folks are not a monolithic group of people. There are many Black tribes. The FBA/ADOS tribe has a responsibility to never allow slavery to be forgotten. FBA/ADOS have a responsibility to make America atone for the original sin and collect on the debt (reparations). There is no shortage of obstacles and voices of opposition including other Black tribes. Whether those Black tribes are made up of affluent people who were never enslaved, immigrants or disenfranchised folks, etc., FBA/ADOS cannot allow them to be an impediment to us putting in the work and standing on business. IMO, FBA/ADOS need to do a better job of closing ranks. We cannot build alliances with and/or depend on other groups of people to ride with us. Again, that goes for other Black tribes too. Black immigrants do not share our history or perspective in relation to America. To them, America is the land of opportunity. It is that beacon on a hill that dwarfs the home countries they left behind. Same goes for other non-white people. So, I cannot fault or blame those people for leaving their home countries. I only ask that they stay out of the way and keep their mouths shut when it comes to FBA/ADOS. As Dr. John Henrik Clarke said of FBA/ADOS people, "we have no friends". FBA/ADOS have to keep that in mind as we continue in fighting against the system of racism white supremacy. -

They are complaining for no good reason. Nothing is being taken away from or withheld from white men. Not suffering. You'll know when sh8t has really hit the fan because mass killing will increase if/when white men are left to suffer. White men have extended a few privileges to others. The British are still extracting money from their former colonies. That's how they maintain the Crown. The Royals don't work. How do they get money? I doubt that Chinese dictator Xi Jinping would agree. They definitely do not. The continent of Africa has been cut up like a jigsaw puzzle among outsiders (France, Russia, China, US, UK, etc.). The British have a huge amount of control there. White people have a huge amount of control over the leadership in non-white countries. Throughout history there have been rich and wealthy Black people. African king Mansa Musa had a net worth of the equivalent of $400 billion dollars today. How much power do wealthy Black folks have in relation to the world? Oprah Winfrey, Jay-Z, Beyonce, LeBron James, etc., have a billion dollars on paper. They have zero power. These people are given money to reinforce the illusion that racism white supremacy has gotten better. There's no shortage of books that already define and explain the the system of white supremacy. No need for me to write a dissertation on it. We can go back and forth pulling up receipts to support our opinions and beliefs. It won't solve anything. It definitely won't dismantle the system of racism white supremacy. -

It starts with knowing the definition of the system of racism white supremacy. How would these people define themselves racially? Who controls the majority of wealth and resources on the planet? White privilege hasn't gone away. If you're looking at it through the prism of slavery, Jim Crow laws, lynchings, desegregation, civil rights, etc., it's easy to believe life has gotten better. However, the system of racism white supremacy has not changed in hundreds of years and counting. -
https://www.npr.org/2025/01/02/g-s1-40854/tesla-cybertruck-explosion-las-vegas Probably a coincidence but there was another tragedy on New Year's Day. Another American citizen and member of the military made the news when he blew up a Tesla CyberTruck in front of Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Unless a manifesto was left behind, we may never know the motivation of this man because he killed himself. Unfortunately, these events will continue until America deals with the underlying conditions.

True. Slavery was the building block of American capitalism. Yet, America has been doing a masterful job of whitewashing its history. As it relates to slavery, AfroAmericans are allowing it to become a distant memory. I don't believe most AfroAmericans truly understand the white wealth that continues to compound that was generated by slavery. Slavery is the elephant in the room. To date, nobody seems to be interested in tackling America's original sin. The only way I would co-sign such a thing if there was beyond a reasonable assurance to provide enough resources for every every resident of the parts. There would have to be enough funding to provide great jobs, schools, health care, public and social services, etc. -
Same here. When listening to him, what I heard was Kevin Samuels trying to get folks to be honest with themselves and realistic in their expectations. A short, overweight, single mother expecting to have a monogamous relationship with a man who earns 6 figures or more. Girl bye. Those who considered Samuels' style to be caustic or abrasive were either being too sensitive or he was hitting nerves. He definitely wasn't handing out those participation trophies that makes everybody a winner.

Understood. *Something* pushed the guy over the edge and radicalized him. Of course, they're going to say that he didn't handle his *problems* well. That thing wouldn't be considered a mental problem though. When Putin or Netanyahu declare war on innocent people and start killing them, they aren't labelled crazy or mentally ill. The same folks who wield enough power to wage war and kill thousands of people for any reason or no reason at all have created *conditions* that lead to terrorism. Don't get it twisted, I'm not advocating the indiscriminate killing of people. I believe violence should only be used for self-defense if/when diplomacy is not an option. I *wish* that guy didn't have to go through whatever led him to taking innocent lives. He should have just killed himself and been done with it. -

Of course not. The tenor of my post was religion as it relates to Black people specifically. Reads like your position lumped all of humanity into it per the rest of your response. The reality is that white folks aren't willing to give up white supremacy. If such was the case, white folks would be calling out racism wherever it exists. In Florida, white folks would be running Gov. Ron DeStupid out of the state. Same goes for that wheelchair bound bigot in the state of Texas. Spreading love would end white supremacy and make the world a better place but it's not going to happen any time soon. Violence is the only thing white folks understand. Look no further than the conflicts around the world. In 2025, white supremacy still runs the entire planet. Who is in charge of global economy and has the power to destroy the world as we know it? Here in America, both political parties are two sides of the same coin. Regardless of whether they are red or blue, maintaining the system of racism white supremacy is the status quo. Black folks are still fighting for civil rights in one way or another over a half-century later. Not at all. The fake smiles and pats on the back from white folks and token Black folks in certain positions is part of the game. Otherwise, white folks still see Black folks as 2nd or 3rd class citizens in the grand scheme of things. The most sophisticated aspect of racism white supremacy is giving off the illusion that it doesn't exist or tha it's going away. The system of racism white supremacy is alive and well. I believe it's going to intensify sooner than later. Black folks are sitting ducks and totally unprepared to defend themselves from it. Hopefully, Black folks religion, prayers and sky fairies will save them. -

Acts of terrorism are not being committed by peope who are mentally ill. There is a level of planning required to pull it off. The conditions that lead to terrorism need to be addressed. Solve the *why* people are being radicalized into causing mass casualties. America knows exactly why these violent acts are happening. Similar to the body counts piling up in the conflicts around the world. Among those in power, death and destruction has become an acceptable outcome in doing business as usual and maintaining staus quo. -

Black folks didn't start world wars. We're not responsible for the most deadly conflicts currently ongoing. Black people are the majority on the continent of Africa. Yet, is one of the most peaceful places in the world. No confusion. Religion is spread. Not spirituality. My point is that Black people don't need more religion or spirituality. That's not going to destroy the system of racism white supremacy. -
https://npr.org/2025/01/01/nx-s1-5245211/new-orleans-attack-bourbon-street-shamsud-din-jabbar The New Year 2025 has started off tragically. A truck plowed into a group of people killing 15 and injuring 35. It is considered an act of terrorism. The FBI has already identified the main suspect who was shot and killed by police. He was an Army veteran. Authorities are still looking for a few people who may have planted explosives in the area. Keep your head on a swivel. Pay attention to your surroundings. There are no guarantees. Try to stay safe. Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone. Continue to live your life to the fullest.

Black folks aren't responsible for wars. They're hiding in churches when the sh8t goes down. Black folks engage in criminal activity in order to thrive and survive within the system of white supremacy. Wealthy people and world leaders seems to be the most non-spiritual and religious. They are also responsible for starting wars and killing a whole lot of people. I've always believed that religion is an opiate fed to the masses to keep them oppressed. Shackle their minds. Own their bodies. No resistance. -

Unfortunately, many of the institutions were poorly run. Putting mentally ill folks on the streets is a disservice too. Again, it's makes no sense that a highly developed country like America has a *problem* taking care of the people who need it the most. Capitalism is ruthless. -

Black folks over-sample when it comes to spirituality and religion. They are among the most spiritual and religious folks on the planet. By design, the only thing spirituality and religion has done is kept Black folks anesthetized in their condition and unwilling to destroy the system of racism white supremacy. Black folks need to redirect that spiritual/religious energy into something more productive i.e. building wealth and buying freedom. -

America shouldn't have people who are homeless long-term or lifetime. Homelessness due to mental illness and/or drug addiction can be dealt with in a different manner. At one point in time, America had asylums for people who couldn't take care of themselves. Back in the 1990s, asylums were closed down and institutionalized people were either transferred to prisons or thrown out on the streets to survive. Homelessness, drug addiction and mental health, etc., feed capitalism by way of providing jobs in social services, law enforcement, judicial system, etc. -

Perfectly asked question. Rip the band-aid off. Interesting. Younger men think the opposite. They will try to knock the bottom out of a snatch box in order to satisfy a woman. However, as men get older and especially if they start having *issues* with the shotgun, cuddling and foreplay and *help* from the woman is more appreciated. Right. That is hilarious.
