  1. Yet, Black folks in the USA have a higher purchasing power than the GDP of most every Black country on the planet. The Pan Black thing hasn't worked out for a number of reasons. Most of it stems from how Black people from outside the US perceive AfroAmericans (FBA/ADOS). FBA/ADOS needs to be honest with itself that other Black folks who don't share our history or understand it will be harder to align with strategically. It's OK for FBA/ADOS to close ranks and build its own house before trying to develop a Pan Black coalition. We don't need it considering our aforementioned purchasing power. Sure. A collective of like-minded individuals who share similar interests/goals/objectives can move in a positive financial direction. At some point, the analysis has to be put to work in order to bring an idea or product to fruition. There's enough smart people with resources to make things happen without gambling foolishly.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  2. There is no denial that Black folks have been cheated, robbed and abused. It is ingrained in our history. Failure is no a reason to give up. Black people would not have billions of dollars in purchasing power if we gave up. Right. They still invest in that which is intangible. Their trust lies in faith. I mentioned the website merely as an example of a seed of an investment idea that could attract a whole lot of Black folks. Again, I don't know why you're hung up on one seed of an investment idea. The investment could be any number of things. Just a matter of starting from somewhere. Again, nothing will get done with a net negative outlook and paralysis based on historical analysis.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  3. I have not.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  4. Whether it's $910 billion or $1.7 trillion dollars, a small percentage of that purchasing power of Black folks can be invested instead of wasted on consumerism. Trust or lack thereof is another recurring theme in your diatribes. It's easy enough to put structures in place to manage large sums of money. Establish an investment bank. A board. An oversight committee. There's more than one way to raise $17 billion dollars. I've already mentioned that Black churches raise $11 billion annually. Members don't get anything tangible in return. Maybe the investment board/oversight committee should include Black preachers too. ๐Ÿ˜ Doing nothing will definitely breed similar results. No risk. No reward.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  5. https://thehill.com/homenews/media/5160187-msnbc-cancels-joy-reid-show-in-major-shake-up/ MSNBC Is canceling Joy Reid's show. No surprise as left-leaning news outlets try to rebrand in the wake of the new administration. Reid is not the only casualty of network shake-up. Several folks are being replaced with different anchors and formats. Every news outlet may not become FOX but they won't be singing the same tunes from 3 years ago.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  6. It can also be abused and/or used as a crutch. Why are they living in a trailer park? They're still not becoming rich or wealthy if impoverished. Black people do not have a monopoly on being lazy and unambitious. I'm a huge proponent that we should have a better Black economic infrastructure. Our people wouldn't have to beg them for jobs. A country filled with resources shouldn't have poor people. Yet, those countries are poor because a handful of greedy people control the wealth. Building a house or installing wood floors requires tools and materials. The people will do what they can based on access. I know several people who grew up poor and now they own businesses...barbershops, beauty salons, general contracting and construction companies, dump trucks, tractor trailers, recording studios, etc. Poverty is the lack of access to economic resources, jobs, education and healthcare, etc. Who controls it? It sounds good but luck literally means as an example, a person had enough money to play the lotto on the *right* day, time and place or the person met the *right* person/people. Not just any fool. He placed his bet with Diddy based on the work he had done with Andrell Harrell at Uptown Records. There was no guarantee he'd deliver though. Proper decision-making allows one to maintain and grow wealth. It's not a prerequisite to obtaining wealth though. Some folks are born into it and others get lucky and there's the middle. There's not one financial advisor on the planet who would tell a client to invest in the lottery. If the lottery was a road to wealth, folks like Buffet, Gates, Bezos and Musk would buy up the tickets. Of course they made decisions by aligning themselves with people who could help them get there. If amassing wealth was merely a function of decision-making, a higher percentage of the population would be rich or wealthy. There's a reason antitrust laws and other protections are in place to discourage monopolies. Otherwise, greedy people would make poverty even worse.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  7. Mayor Adams case is federal. Above the jurisprudence of the state. NY AG can't do anything.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  8. It's often used like any other form of medication...drugs and alcohol. Right. As your comment about Haiti suggests. Poor white folks could use class as an excuse but it still comes down to greed. When companies outsource Jobs to other countries or robotics or AI, it leaves the population jobless. No job. No money. Poor. Poverty leads people to self-medicate in different ways and/or resort to crime. As you mentioned above, same can be said for any group of people. While you emphasize n8gglets doing dumb sh8t, there's plenty Black folks who are well off. Black America has $1.7 trillion dollars in purchasing power. Yet, no matter how successful a few, their home country in the case of places like Haiti, Caribbean and African countries are still f8cked. Greed made the people poor in the 1st place. The system keeps them there. Most people born in rags will remain there from one generation to the next. There's always exceptions. Some folks get lucky enough to make it out of a bad situation. The people aren't poor because as a homogenous society, they inherently take care of each other. There would be no poverty if that was true. Diddy is an example of showcasing under the system of racism white supremacy. He got lucky when a gay, white Jew man loaned him $40 million dollars to bring him into the Hip-Hop cash cow. Since they are controlling distribution of resources, they're also maintaining poverty. The only way to get out of bad system is to destroy it. You may want to study how wealth is accumulated. Lottery tickets are not an investment strategy. Its no different from gambling. Totally based on chance and luck. The number of people who become rich winning the lottery is negligible. Not true. Again, study wealthy people if you truly want to understand how they got it. There's a reason a fraction of one percent of the world population controls the wealth. It has little or nothing to do with divine favor or intelligence or decision-making. Amassing and maintaining wealth requires a certain amount ruthlessness which is fueled by greed and power.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  9. I don't believe the prosecutors want to see Mayor Adams locked up in so much as their *work* is being dismissed. Rest assured that this is performative. As I mentioned, those folks can go across the street and land another job.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  10. Once convicted, inmates are sent from a place like the Manhattan Detention Center to do their time at Riker's Island prison. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  11. It really doesn't make a difference how the numbers are calculated as long as you're transfixed on your net position based on historical analysis and through the prism of Black poverty in NYC. The bottom line is that a small percentage of $1.7 trillion dollars could be used to finance a Black-owned version of Meta.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. Promiscuity is a problem for impoverished people. Poor and broke folks have zero business procreating. Are white Americans in poverty due to making bad choices? Haiti has been impoverished for centuries. I believe the French had more to do with it than Haitian parents. Same goes for every other poor country on the planet. Follow the money. Greed. The number of people who chose to go from riches to rags is low in the grand scheme of things. In fact, I know more folks who went from rags to riches. Why does a country need so much weaponry? There's a reason Scandinavian countries do not have an abundance of weapons or high crime rates or impoverished people. There is zero poverty if resources are distributed equally across the population. Greed prevents it. Wealthy people do not become so through any form of hard work. It's very hard for working people to become wealthy. Human greed is the major factor whether it is rich and poor or war and peace.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  13. The new military recruiting ads show the same types of dudes buffed up and doing hyper-masculine sh8t.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  14. The value of art is determined by what consumers are willing to pay for it. Mostly predicated on how it's marketed and sold. Put any piece of art in Sotheby's and rich folks will pay a fortune for it. The trick is getting placed there.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  15. That number is larger than the GDP of several countries combined.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. Not sure what confident brothas being locked up has to do with this situation. Bro, you're taking it too literally. There is a tactful way to ask direct questions. Nope. Tactfully asking a question isn't soliciting prostitution. Men have been doing it indirectly for a long time. Taking a woman on dates or shopping, buying drinks and paying her bills hoping it leads to a happy ending is the same thing. Right. A less than confident dude or one can't handle his own bizness wouldn't approach a woman directly. Again, it's not about directly offering money. It's about asking questions. As I mentioned already, this applies specifically to a situation where a dude just wants to smash. It might help my brothas @Pioneer1 and @Troy to understand my perspective. Among other things....I'm a musician. We see women do all types of things. I've seen women run up dudes bar tab and leave them dry. Those same women would leave the club with us musicians for FREE. They'd even help pack up equipment. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  17. Mayor Adams p8ssed off the Biden administration. The DOJ brought charges against him. The folks who resigned were p8ssed off that charges were being dropped. Most of them were probably appointed by the Biden administration.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. Riker's Island is a state run prison. The state prosecutors of NY put the brothas there. Of course they're not going to reverse decisions that fuel the prison industrial complex. On the other hand, Mayor Eric Adams' case is federal. it's a political hit job. Apples and oranges. No hypocrisy. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. Kennedy Center ticket sales have already started dropping too. Apparently, half of America is perfectly fine with it becoming a fascist country. The lack of resistance from the opposition leads me to believe they're fine with the BS too.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  20. Black folks have more than enough ability to produce goods and services legally. We just need access to resources. We need to be able to protect ourselves.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. Nothing at all. I'm perfectly fine right here on planet Earth.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  22. @aka Contrarian, I respect that it's your energy to waste but turn the lemons into lemonade. Focus on the humor in this BS because there's nothing else we can do about the sh8tshow of a circus running the country. I hope the Democrats are spending some of their energy retooling for the midterms. They have a lot of work cut out for them. Always delighted whenever you decide to pop in and chop it up with us.๐Ÿค— Claiming your cataract surgery will be a breeze and you'll be fine. Let us know how it goes as eyesight and time permits.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  23. https://www.npr.org/2025/02/21/nx-s1-5305288/trump-fires-chairman-joint-chiefs-of-staff-charles-brown-pentagon POTUS OJ continues upholding his promise to shake up America. On cue, Joint Chiefs Chairman General Charles CQ Brown Jr. has been relieved of his duties at the Pentagon. Here's another situation where durint his 1st term, POTUS OJ made General Brown the 1st Black Joint Chief of the Air Force. POTUS Biden nominated Gen. Brown to be Joint Chiefs Chairman in 2023. In his effort to remove *woke* and DEI from American life, POTUS OJ is replacing minorities in high level positions. Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Lisa Franchetti has also been relieved of her duties as well. The current administration has been busy over the past 30 days. Surely, they realize 4 years goes by quickly. Guess they don't have any time to waste in f8cking up America. Hang on to your seats folks. This circus ride could get real bumpy.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  24. https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-justice-department-cuts-database-tracking-federal-police-misconduct-2025-02-21/ POTUS OJ signed an executive order that shuts down a database that kept track of misconduct by federal law enforcement personnel. In theory, the database would make it harder for law enforcement personnel with bad records to jump from one jurisdiction to another. Interestingly, during his 1st term, POTUS OJ had the Department of Justice establish the database in the wake of George Floyd's murder. POTUS Biden implemented it. Now, POTUS OJ has turned it off. Rolling back a tracking system that now makes it easier for federal law enforcement personnel to mistreat people and face misconduct charges and still find another job elsewhere.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  25. I don't believe charges were brought against Mayor Adams because he's a Black man. The charges were a political hit because Mayor Adams didn't tow the Democratic party line on immigration. If Mayor Adams hadn't spoken out against NYC being a sanctuary city and just cooperated with the program, accepting those campaign contributions as they all do, would have been a non-issue. The current administration is leveraging Mayor Adams' stance on immigration to their own agenda. They'll use him as a tool. The question remains what becomes of Mayor Adams when he's no longer of use to them. Whites supremacists usually break their tools once finished with them.๐Ÿ˜Ž
