  1. Flavor Flav was a founding member of Public Enemy (PE). He helped Chuck D to become a better MC. There was also Professor Griff and and the S1W (Security of the First World) standing around too. There's no shortage of minstrels especially when it comes to entertainment. For whatever reason, PE felt like they needed Flav as hype man and other gimmicks. Thankfully, the messages in PE's music always cut through the *noise* and *static*. A few Hip-Hop groups and artists had some kind of gimmick or prop. But, most Hip-Hop acts wanted to be like Rakim. A mic and a message.
  2. The solution is even simpler...human beings need to do a better job in taking care of each other. More love. Less greed.
  3. Interestingly, DC crime has never felt as bad at ground zero as it is reported to the outside world. Of course, there are certain things that you just don't do here but that goes for any city. From a personal security perspective, it's always a good idea to keep your head on a swivel at all times. Otherwise, I've never felt like I'm living in a war zone here in DC.
  4. MJ's "Remember the Time" is definitely top of the list. The video dropped like a very short movie. The song is a straight banger.
  5. As always, you have every right to oppose the question but it still remains. There is no need to have poverty/poor people in the wealthiest nation on the planet. I'm not suggesting that everyone should be a millionaire. However, the US can afford to providing opportunities for every citizen to have food, clothing and shelter. On a daily basis, Americans throw away enough food to feed a small country. By design, having poverty/poor/working class people feeds the economy.
  6. I've been listening to Professor Black Truth and Tariq Nasheed and Mint Condition.
  7. Yep. Americans should be asking themselves why there is poverty at all in the most powerful country on the planet. Of course, it's by design.
  8. @Chevdove, there's no shortage of comets out there. I'm not sure of how many are green or any other Skittles color. I believe the moon may have a greater influence on natural disasters than anything else in the solar system. The string of natural disasters is definitely a series of unfortunate events for the people who've lost their lives, loved ones and everything else.
  9. Right. If Kamala Harris was purely from India she wouldn't be VP of the US either.
  10. @Cynique, I'm glad you're not out in these mating/dating streets either. But, I'm sure you would have done just fine holding your own and your nose while avoiding BS men. As you already know, the grass is not always greener on the other side. The alphabet soup community seems to have the same relationship problems. It's kinda funny hearing their complaints about and frustrations with their significant others and/or getting divorced. Over the course of its existence, human beings as a species remain relatively unchanged especially as they relate to each other regardless of gender. There's never been a shortage of ignorance, stupidity, insolence, greed, arrogance, jealousy, selfishness, narcissism, etc., among the species. Still, there's plenty good human beings too. VP Kamala Harris did not make it this far in life being unprepared. H8ters be d8mned.
  11. Crime is an issue in cities across America. In fact, some crimes are being committed by folks for whom the people voted. America needs a wealth redistribution program to eliminate the poverty that leads to disenfranchisement, hopelessness and despair. The greedy and narcissistic criminals need some type of rehabilitation program.
  12. Back in 2016, former POTUS 45 had Larry Fink join a business forum to provide strategic and policy advice on economic issues. Folks who have access to as much money as Larry Fink have business interests on both sides of the political aisle.
  13. Larry Fink runs an asset management company with a portfolio of $10 trillion dollars. That is 1/3 of the U.S. national debt currently at $32 trillion dollars. I don't believe Fink is the most ominous threat to everything Black America has achieved. Fink is one of the most powerful men over governments throughout the world.
  14. This should be required learning in every U.S. History class. Of course, forcing slavery to be a part of the course curriculum would make those conservative red heads explode. Making slavery a mandatory part of U.S. History would also draw out the fake liberals/closet racists too.
  15. I don't think Mayor Adams is being played. He's a tether who's following the marching orders of the big money folks who got him elected.
  16. Therein lies how two people can look at the same thing differently. Don't get me wrong...VP Harris is not hard on the eyes. VP Harris would not be an ugly POTUS by any stretch. She's just not *built* quite right from an attractive standpoint.
  17. No problem. I was looking into the possibility of buying property in Burkina Faso. That country still has a long way to go.
  18. Accounts for 3% of global GDP and trade but I'm willing to bet the amount of money being extorted and/or stolen by colonizers and greedy, corrupt leaders from Africa would increase that percentage significantly. I voted no to the question. Each of those 54 countries needs to become more stable, less dependent on foreign aid and development. Right now, the Chinese, French and Arabs are treating Africa like an all you can eat buffet. Then, there's Russia and the US. Ultimately, they should become the United Countries of Africa. That would cause a seismic shift in geopolitics.
  19. Right. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, a few Black elected leaders were about the business of using their power and authority and they weren't afraid of White foks. I think part of the reason those Black elected leaders were effective is because they were running predominantly Black cities. Over time especially once money became a huge influence in politics, they've been able to find candidates who won't go against the grain. Now, we see sellouts, bootlicks and shills who have zero interest in racism. They're just happy to get the giveaways, goodies@ guarantees and paycheck. Unfortunately, the Drop Squad was only in a movie. We need it badly.
  20. Powerlessness. Black folks don't really have the authority to enforce laws against White folks. Black folks wouldn't occupy those positions for very long if they went against the program.
  21. Understood. Mint Condition is the last Black band i.e. folks playing real instruments and singing. Of course, as a musician, I give them major props.
  22. @Pioneer1, definitely not waiting on a majority of AfroAmericans to get on code. It only takes a few to start a movement. Once we've got that handful of AfroAmericans on code and movement underway, I'm down with building strategic alliances with that handful of like-minded folks throughout the Black Diaspora as well. I'm pro-Black folks from all over the planet. But, I'm also aware of the tribalism among Africans and others and their anti-ADOS/FBA sentiment based on propaganda they've been fed and some jealousy too.
  23. @Cynique, excellent breakdown of the other sides most clueless VPs and wannabes in history. I certainly didn't start this thread for VP Harris to come under attack from the other side. But, I'm not surprised especially when it comes to strong partisansh8t and trolls. I guess those h8ters especially from the park would move to another trailer, er, country if VP Harris ends up in the drivers seat. Let's Go Kamala.
  24. In an emergency, there's always a chance VP could become POTUS. I just don't think it will happen for this particular VP under any circumstance.
