  1. I've said time and time again that one of the problems a lot of our people...especially a lot of women....have with this site is that there is too much personal freedom to post and say what you like with very little moderation. Troy is very light handed when it comes to being a moderator. Conventional wisdom would say that having the freedom to post your opinions freely is a good thing that would attract people by the thousands. A true expression of freedom of speech and thought. However because of the angry and vindictive nature of a lot of our people, this produces the opposite effect. People like to be able to get you in trouble. They like to get your posts deleted or even get you blocked/banned if you say something they don't like. You see it all over social media where you come on a channel or show and you say something the crowd doesn't like or agree with....instead of ignoring you or tolerating you....they alert the moderators and tell them to block or ban you. It's the culture now. A culture of intolerance. Those same people get mad as hell for being blocked for expressing THEIR opinion on a matter, but they'll then turn around and insist that it's fair and demand the same punishment for other of a differing opinion. This is the very juvenile and extreme thinking of a lot of people. So a site where they can't run and tattle tale to a mod or point the finger at somebody and make them vanish isn't very attractive to them. Some of the things you and I have said on this site....we would have been banned our first WEEK on Lipstick Alley, lol. Plus....let's keep it real..... A lot of our people don't like sites where Black men are in charge. Going back to our sistaz again. Some of our sistaz don't like spaces where the ultimate authority is a Black man. They'll accept it from a White man or even another Black woman, but the idea of a Black man holding power over what goes on or who goes and who stays....they don't like. I've known some who didn't want to even WORK for a Black man. Nearly all of them had daddy issues. But the very idea that a Black man signed their pay check and told them what to do and could punish them, they didn't like at all. They were so used to dissing Black men growing up and telling them to kiss their ass....for a brutha to have that type of authority didn't sit well with them. I know what I'm saying may sound extra, but it's the real deal when it comes to why the traffic on this and other Black ran sites are often light.
  2. It's going to be even harder to justify this one. They claim he had a weapon but based on the video that I saw there was a half dozen officers swarmed around whooping the hell out of him. Even if he were armed, that many officers at close range should have been able to disarm him fairly easily.
  3. To most ignorant hardcore racists (some would argue that all racists are ignorant....but that's not so) Black is Black and it doesn't matter what a Black person calls themselves or what country they came from. I said to the IGNORANT ones. But the SOPHISTICATED and ELITE racists think differently. They know that DIVIDE AND CONQUER is a strategy that has worked for them excellently over time, so they continue to employ it. They may not like any Black people but they like some better than others based on their ability to use them and profit off of them. For work, Africans are preferred. For entertainment and AfroAmericans are preferred.
  4. You know what..... I edited my post to Troy 3 times.....each time deciding whether or not to ask was DEATH the "freedom" he was talking about as being a choice, lol. I eventually decided not to ask him directly because it may have looked little strange IF this were the furthest thing from his mind. But I knew it wasn't the furthest thing from YOUR mind because you mentioned it being an option as opposed to oppression a couple of times, lol. My PLAN was to dance around the question a little bit by asking other questions that would narrow it down TO this....lol.
  5. Squo? I didn't know West Indians were beefing like THAT on the Eastcoast, lol. In Michigan they didn't have much to do with AfroAmericans and there was often tension on jobs, but the only time you'd hear about a Jamaican or Haitian killing somebody is if there was some sort of criminal activity involved like rival drug gangs. Infact, I didn't see a lot of real West Indian gangsters until I started going to Canada. In America, most of the West Indians tended to be well educated and professional.....or business owners like restaurants and small shops. It wasn't until I went to Toronto and saw a bunch of bruthaz in standing on the corner smoking weed and looking like the Wu Tang Clan in dreadlocks. I stopped to greet them and couldn't understand WHAT them niggaz were saying...lol "Whatta bumba clotta chat meh fa???" Neely Fuller Jr. said, try to talk to the WRONG Black man on the street and you'll end up getting chased DOWN the street....lol.
  6. Which pretty much means that progress in these industries would STOP, in that country....lol. Whatever type of car is currently being produce...will be the type they'll be producing for the next 100 years. Whatever type of clothes people are currently wearing....will be worn for the next 100 years. Inventions will grind to a halt. Why? The government is making everything so there is no incentive to improve and do better.
  7. Including New York. When I was in New York and Philadelphia several years ago I was surprised to see so many Mexicans and other Central Americans in those places that I thought were Puerto Rican and Dominican strongholds. I remember coming to West Michigan 30 years ago back in the 90s and although it didn't have a HUGE Latino population, most of the Latinos here were Puerto Rican. When I moved BACK here the Mexican and Guatemalan population over took it and is now the majority among Latinos. This is one of the reasons you don't find too many AfroAmericans getting out there and protesting ICE. We instinctively know that it's not good for them to just "take over" the entire country by the millions like that....especially when they have such a strong and isolated culture. We instinctively know that something needs to be done and should have been doing years ago.
  8. But what was her ROLE in the show? Was she...with her dark skinned self....held up and praised as a beauty symbol or sex symbol? Plenty of dark skinned Black women have been featured in television shows and movies since their inception, but they weren't held as beautiful or as the standards of beauty. Any woman can play the role of a maid or prostitute.
  9. Interesting statement. Lol.... Once a person makes the CHOICE to be free, how long do you think their freedom will last?
  10. Well first of all, THEY aren't in a position to speak for us anyway. They can't even help themselves against racist targeting by law enforcement, so what can they do for AfroAmericans? As ProfD already pointed out, most of those people did nothing to help us. They sho' nuff benefited from OUR fights. We ended legal discrimination in this nation....and they took advantage of it. We ended racist discriminatory immigration policies in this nation....and they took advantage of that too. And as soon as they go here they started linking up with White Americans and being discriminatory against AfroAmericans themselves. Not all, but most. Most immigrants in this nation SHOULD be deported. They aren't helping AfroAmericans, they are a hinderance. Infact...... With all of this talk about AfroAmericans standing to the side and not getting involved, I wonder if AfroAmericans were the targets of racist federal forces would they not only NOT help us but actually sign up to help the feds! We know that many Latinos and Asians want to take our place in America. Perhaps they'd be cheering it on.
  11. Car manufacturing is very profitable. Why would people allow just ONE automaker? Anything that involves generating a lot of money will produce multiple manufacturers....usually in competition with eachother. Whether it's cars, weapons, perfumes, candy, or dope.
  12. It depends on who "their people" are, or what people you are referring to. There are 2 distinct groups in the United States who are closely linked to eachother and usually overlap: Black American and AfroAmericans. Black Americans are....as the title implies....people of the Black race who are American citizens. AfroAmericans are the descendants of enslaved Africans who are primarily Black but mixed with other races to various degrees. Almost to the point that many aren't even Black at all. Miss "AfroAmerica" can feature light skinned contestants but not Miss Black America, in my opinion ofcourse.
  13. ...gonna have to pick a side, and stick to it, lol. Can't treat America like you treat Starbucks. Walking up in the joint and enjoying the privileges but refusing to buy anything on principle. "I got this for free. My manz bought it for me on the strength. ....cuz' I ain't spending MY money up in this token of capitalist imperialism."
  14. What's even funnier is I actually changed it a minute ago....lol
  15. ProfD Well, I know our brother calls himself as a "DOSer". I haven't been DOZING off during our exchanges.....lol. But that doesn't really identify one's nationality or citizenship status. Most Jamaicans and Haitians are DOSers. as well. Well people can "consider" themselves whatever they want. But ICE is going from door to door right now, so they better hurry the fuck up and make sure their paper work is backing up anything they claim...lol. 📢 "I will NOT open the door! I don't consider myself under your authority and I declare immunity. Banish from my premises at once, you disgraceful vagabonds!"
  16. Actually, you make a pretty valid point. Especially when White folks get tatted up. Subconsciously...I think it's their way of adding some color to their skin.
  17. richardmurray your, not our, me and mine are not part of the our you speak of. Oh... You're not part of the United States? Well you eat, shit, and pay taxes here. So you're being cheated...lol. It is the same reason far east asia has the least militaristic presence of western europe, distance. distance is a powerful thing, and worth alot when you can't beat a bully That and they weren't as technologically advanced when it came to weaponry. So canada or mexico had a different origin in key ways financially but also militaristically. and not we, you or yours, not me or mine. Well SOMEBODY'S military is protecting you and keeping the Asians and Arabs from flying over here and forcing you into a submissive workers....lol. They're protecting you from being a DOS-er to becoming a straight up S-er....lol. not us, you and yours. Well, shit...... What nation do YOU belong to? And more importantly, how does THEIR military compare to ME AND MINEZ...lol??? I am nt and have never been statian and said it way too many times to require repeating. What are you? I thought you were a citizen here in the United States. What country are you posting from when you're not in New York? Because in the usa's case it is just luck, fate. Over 100 years of just "luck"??? Ok. either or both depending on who you ask. Remember the usa has always had multiple financial positions. Another sign of high intelligence and being smart enough to diversify. Some black or non black have always believed in private ownership leading the way, thus private hospitals, the logic being people will figure out a way to afford a hospital or move. Some black or non black have always believed municipal activity, the government enganging in services to the public, the logic being it represents positive graces among humans, regardless of the cost or tax burden. Some black or non black try to find a bridge between both Some black or non black are anarchist who don't want either. So whose fault? I don't know. It all depends on point of view. But why should ne point of view be correct or wrong? Because some points of view are logical and reasonable, and thus valid. If it's not logical or reasonable, how could it be considered correct unless SHOWN to be so through example and proof? But as I try to answer every question, I will provide an answer, which I have said before. All ideas are effective based on implementation. To reword, currency is merely an idea, if implemented a certain way to a certain place or time it will succeed . If implemented other ways it will fail. but that is with all ideas. socialism/monarchy/vendetta... implementation is always the key, not right or wrong. And luck can be the key to implementation, not any human planning. But some ideas....as great as they may sound....CAN'T be implemented. Which makes them wrong. This is why I've repeatedly asked for an example of this economy or that society which implemented that particular "idea". If a particular idea is constantly being promoted but we don't have any example of it being implemented in real life, there's a good chance that this is the case because it CAN'T be implemented. Those who think or THOUGHT it was a good idea have repeatedly TRIED to implemented it and failed.
  18. There's nothing wrong with being unique and expressing one's creativity. That's admirable. The problem is when that expression is motivated by self-hatred and especially a hatred for Black racial features like dark hair. You see a some of our sistaz dying their hair blonde and red and even green, but how many of them dye their hair BLACK? Jet black hair is far more beautiful than blonde, in my opinion.
  19. ProfD Just when I start feeling a little empathy.....just a little bit.....for the immigrants being chased down by ICE...guess what happens? I go outside. I go to a grocery store that used to be owned by White folks and Latinos took it over a couple years ago and I barely get any service from there. The people who work there are so openly racists it's almost a joke. You can be standing at a counter waiting on service and they'll serve a Latino BEHIND first....lol. Just another reminder of why Black Americans should stay out of the way and let what happens....happen.
  20. Although it may have SOUNDED like it....that statement wasn't suggesting that the modern medical and pharmaceutical industries ARE the ones with all of the cures. Certainly they have a lot they're sitting on. But the cures are out there in many different region that Western science doesn't even know about. Some are yet to be discovered or re-discovered. Speaking of HIV specifically...... Back in the 90s the Nation of Islam with Dr. Alim Muhammad was working on effective treatment for those afflicted with the infection.
  21. There's a cure for EVERY disease and/or illness out there.
  22. frankster I have no argument with that.... Was the Vietnam war Officially Approved By Congress? They used semantics of Police Action or Armed Conflict.....its all Polytricks I'm not sure. It was called a "police" action. Just like Korea. But you don't "police" other nations or even other people outside of your jurisdiction....lol. They aren't subject to your laws. What if Mom says....otherwise? Sheeeeeyid, mom is the one who told DAD to enforce the curfew...lol. She figured yall'd listen when a man tells you....lol. Which is the case with the fed and state over cannabis....as you mentioned. It's a little more clear cut with that issue. The Federal government has declared Marijuana illegal...regardless as to any state or local laws to the contrary. It should be illegal FOR states to make laws like that because it leads to too much confusion and actually is breeding grounds for racism and other forms of discrimination. The state will make it legal and let people of ALL races sell and use Marijuana not knowing it's actually illegal. Then a racists federal officer can start picking and choosing to go after the Black users and sellers and be justified by pointing at the federal laws and how they supersede those of the state.
  23. They are trying to show as many Black people as they can in these protests. They are trying their BEST to try to just PUT niggaz in the middle of it.....lol. I think Black folks have done a good job on social media trying to stay on the message of "stay out". A lot of the Latinos in the area are giving Black folks the side eye too! They are trying so many tricks and provocations and are angry as hell that none of it is working. Now don't be under any illusion............Black Americans WILL get involved. We're really what it's all about to begin with. But we'll get involved on OUR terms.
  24. Well..... Both of them were from Harlem and are great dancers...lol. I think one time a long time ago but after Biggie's passing, Puff and a few White celebrities started calling themselves the new "Rat Pack" like Sammy and Frank Sinatra.
  25. richardmurray nice try, you changed the course Now, how can I change the course of YOUR thread??? race is any factor, phenotypical is just one You have a point. even enough but fredi washington didn't, and more importantly, to the idea of beauty , we black dosers have to embrace our reality. We are a people who were once completely enslaved, that comes with a history of sexual abuse that leads to mixed babies, and the heritage of DOSers in the usa is for the mixed to be part of the black group. That is the heritage. rightly or wrongly. Just because something is part of your heritage, doesn't make it right or correct. Rape and murder is part of the heritage of some nations. Just because mixed people are THROWN into the "Black" category by racists, that doesn't make it a scientific fact. Now to the future, it seems the latin american pardo/casta heritage is settling in the usa, and will finally be the factor to undo what the one drop rule set in. but until then, the yella woman is black. She's not even yellow. That's a White girl in that picture...lol. what determines a black american isn't universallly defined by blacks. the issue pioneer is you keep missing the lack of consensus, means every black in the usa doesn't see anything in one way. Truth and facts aren't based on "consensus". Is fire not hot unless enough people believe it and accept it to be? Is a tiger a reptile if only 25% believe it's a mammal but 75% accept it as a reptile? Consensus doesn't change that which is. Especially when the population in question is miseducated or confused about the issue to begin with. I disagree 100% , again miss black america or miss black usa prove you wrong. In media things that black people/dosers actually own or control in the usa I find the advertised image of black women is usually not upheld through the lens of the yella women but through the cocoa women. but both are still black. And as for all the black or non blacks in white owned media who emphasize the yella women over the cocoa women in the black populace, well, that is white owned media. It's changed recently. I remember when the only media that gave dark skinned women their propers WERE the White media. For a long time Black media was pushing light skin and White featured as ideal with the occasional honey brown sista if she was pretty enough. The only time a real dark skinned sista could get on is if a White man though she was "exotic" looking enough. And usually the dark skinned Black women they put on were from Africa or the West Indies...not the United States.
