  1. K2 Syntax, I know. The way I arrange my words are deliberate, I think. Or, arrangement by way of the languages I'm learning speak (Arabic and Hebrew) or perhaps I don't care. Yes. It sounds like you're using English words with a foreign syntax or cadence Your posts read like how Arnold Swartznagger sounds....lol. I know you said you don't live here anymore but did you grow up in the United States?
  2. Troy LIke when KIllmonger murdered the character played by Forest Whitaker? No, but like how both Kill Monger and Tachalla having love and respect for their fathers and actually went to the other realm to seek their advice and wisdom. When was the last film out of Hollywood that showed Black males having this type of love and positive relationship with their fathers? Without looking name 3 "African" cultures that used female warriors I can name you several right off the bat but if you don't want me to actually look I'm almost SURE to get the names wrong. 1. Queen N'zinga of Angola who led a group of warriors male and female against European colonialists. 2. Queen Asantewaa of the Ashanti nation who led female warriors. 3. The Dahomey nation had an entire brigade of female warriors. And there were many other examples of African societies PRE-COLONIAL who had female brigades along to go along with the males. And here in the Americas there were entire regiments of female soldiers in Haiti who helped defeat Napoleon's military during the Haitian Revolution. It's not about men dominating over women or women dominating over men. The African way is about BALANCE...male and females in their proper roles. Man name one culture on earth that odes not have some variation of this concept The culture you're living in....the United States. This culture is not only secular, but in many circles it's down right atheist. Where in America do people routinely and casually talk about traveling to other realms where there ancestors are? Neither do they talk about it in Russia, Poland, France, Germany, ect....... What?! nobody had a "natural" hair style in this film. Substituting a straight blond wig for a another wig one is not "natural." I didn't say have A NATURAL (as in the Afro) I said there hair WAS NATURAL....meaning it wasn't dyed blonde nor was it processed to be straight. Del However the movie is historical both economically and culturally. Or shows Blacks as more advanced and autonomous. If that creates hope pride and action. Then it was worth the price of admission Excellent observation! Infact, I believe it crossed the 1 billion dollar line this weekend and is Marvel's highest grossing film! Not only do I see sequels....I can easily see a few television series coming from this project. MOVE OVER "GAME OF THRONES"....LOL.
  3. Del Thanks BTW.... Good looking out for defending my right to privacy! Cynique I am starting to like Kalexander because he's good-natured and thick-skinned. Yeah right....lol. You're just SAYING that to cover up the fact that you had an EMOTIONAL MOMENT before you realized what you were doing. Your coming to my defense and cutting into Kalexander like Cat Woman is almost IRREFUTABLE EVIDENCE that my accusations have some merit to them....lol. K2 HEY, to hell with everyone else, sister @Cynique just me a years dose of honorific. I'll not let it go to my head! You better NOT let it go to your head, because she's got a 72 year old Latin Lover who'll go to YOURS...lol. She's got a real SHOW STOPPER who she said lights her fire every night and if you try to get too close to her --something tells me that WHERE EVER the hell you're hiding out at....he'd be there the next day, LOL. Ain't that right Cynique?????
  4. I've noticed that Black people (especially Black men) reading books in public tend to make most White people a little uneasy. So much so that many times they'll walk over and bend sideways to see what you're reading or actually ASK you outright.
  5. Troy Pioneer1 (anyone) do you think the construction of the Pyramids is an example of science applied? No It's an example of ancient African KNOWLEDGE, but not science....because science didn't exist when they were being constructed....lol. Like I said, science and knowledge are different concepts. Cynique How can you separate science from knowledge????? Because they're two separate words. And like I said before, science CONTAINS some elements of knowledge but it's not the same. Science involves a METHOD of doing things and collecting information. While knowledge IS correct information (with the correct understanding ofcourse). Even in the definition you provided: Definition of science: "The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Pay attention to the words "activity encompassing the systemic study". It's not simply information that makes it science, but HOW that information was colllected and organized. Science is a Western method of collecting and organizing information.
  6. When I was in Flint a couple years ago working on my project I had an opportunity to meet with the City council and I did a little survey and found that most of them had a Master's Degree and higher. Infact, Mayor Weaver herself has a DOCTORATE and is a Psychologist! Yet with all that education and all those letters behind their names, those negroes STILL couldn't even provide clean water for their city and had to beg half-educated tobacco chewing White men in plaid shirts and jeans who could barely read, to come in and re-do the water lines and provide cleaner water for the city! Most Black people.....degreed or ignorant....can't even fix the pot-holes on the street the live in! This makes me ask: Is all this "education" actually teaching Black people how to build and maintain their own communities? Or does it really just teach them how to "fit in" to societies that White people have build for themselves? Del What jobs will remain after technology is steadily making various jobs obsolete. The jobs that will remain are the jobs that AFROAMERICANS make for themselves! As long as we rely on White people to create the jobs, we will alway have to settle for "whatever is left". But if we establish our own little "micro-economy" withing the larger American economy like the Chinese and Arabs are doing and like WE DID 70 and 80 years ago...we'll be fine. Remember the Great Depression and how those connected to Wall Street lost all their wealth and were jumping out of windows? Guess what..... Most of those living out in the country were fine and ate well because they never depended on Wall Street to begin with. We should take a lessen from them old-timers...lol. Troy After a certain point, I determined I would rather struggle on my own than be owned by folks who really don't see me or respect me. But that is me and I know most people are not like me in this way. I know how you feel. Once I learn how to do something...I usually excell at it and I don't like to be MICRO-MANAGED. But imagine someone with your independent attitude but WITHOUT your education and skills.....that would be me.....lol. I don't know about most women, but I've noticed that MOST MEN after a certain age don't want to be told what to do....but few have the balls to throw off the yoke and be free. Higher education is good to show that you are intelligent enough to learn and disciplined enough to stick to something, but as you know it's ON THE JOB where most of the real learning begins.
  7. I maintain that the REAL value of the movie is that it gives Black youth an image or a template of what a well managed high tech Black society COULD look like.....which will inspire them. Also..... Although the movie was fiction, there were a lot of facts and ancient African concepts in it that were being RE-introduced to Black America such as: -Respect for elders and veneration of ancestors. -The concept of female warriors -The belief and access to other realms where the ancestors dwell -Black women wearing their hair NATURALLY....which is a big plus Something I haven't heard anyone talk about in the media is the fact that we have a virtually all Black movie and NOT ONCE was the "n" word used....lol. This movie has done far more good than harm in my opinion.
  8. We (me and the other White racist trolls) have come to the conclusion that some of you are confusing SCIENCE with KNOWLEDGE. Science CONTAINS knowledge, but the two are NOT the same. (kind of like the different Pioneers who make up the composite....lol) When you reference different facts and discoveries from ancient African cultures like Kemet and Nubia or talk about what the ancient Native Americans knew, you're not talking about science. You're talking about their knowledge, which may have been based in whatever concept their particular culture used to arrive at those beliefs. SCIENCE is a uniquely Western concept. It's more than just collecting information; there are rules and methods to actual "science". And it is indeed a religion because it is dogmatic and fairly strict in it's application.
  9. Troy K2 I'm not against Black people seeking higher education IF THEY CAN. What I'm against is Black people who AREN'T QUALIFIED just going through the motions and wasting their time and money seeking a degree they will never attain. Just funneled through the system and being used by the university to make money off of. Telling people who can barely graduate highschool that they should seek higher education to solve their problems is like telling people who can barely afford to keep up their house....to run out and try to buy a MANSION. Further more, like I keep saying....it's not the education that's the problem but the LACK OF JOBS and RACISM that's the problem. I don't give a damn HOW much education you have, if you're giving your resume to a racist who has vowed to never hire straight Black men to that firm.....you're wasting your time anyway. Also, keep in mind I said PROFESSIONAL DEGREE. Now as far as I'm concerned the jury is still out over whether most people can actually achieve a Bachelor's degree. I suppose if you are of atleast average intelligence, learned how to study properly, was disciplined and motivated, and had all their finances (tuition, living expenses, ect.....) squared away then maybe MOST PEOPLE could get a basic 4 year degree. It also depends on how easy or hard the University is. But how much is Bachelor's worth today anyway? If you want to talk about putting your education to work for you, I'm talking about a Master's or higher in a specific field. Now what percentage of the population...of any race...have the intellect and discipline to SUCCESSFULY (not try and quit and try and quit and stall and make excuses before giving up) go through 7 or more years of intense study and examinations? Clearly less than 25%. Now a days almost ALL young people are sent to college.....but most end up failing. Look, for the VAST MAJORITY of the population to have a decent independent life weneed to push for more AGRICULTURAL and MANUFACTURING jobs that are well paying yet simple and don't demand much education or discipline. It's as simple as that. Now either I'm right...... Or this is all part of my BIG TRICK to talk these little negroes into dropping out of school. Matter of fact.... Hey Troy, why don't you invite me to your class so I can speak to your students for a couple hours....lol.
  10. Kalexander Actually....I'm MORE than one person. I'm a COMPOSITE of people who take turns on different days using different computers....in the same building. Ask Mel...(the one using the picture of some slim brownskinned chick with long hair and an attitude).....she'll tell you! Troy If @Pioneer1 was a troll he would be the most ineffective or slowest one in existence. Pioneer is not a troll. Slowest....???? I don't know whether to say thank you or be insulted......lol I'm not the smartest man in the world but I've learned fairly early in life that it's not wise to tell ANYONE more information about yourself than you have to. Either on line or off. Especially when there is little to be gained. I mean, if I were on here looking for women then I'd post my picture in e-mails.....lol. But just showing my picture to be showing it and giving my real name and other personal information....with no money to be made....just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. I don't call others stupid for doing it....I just let them do them. Kalexander mentioned White racist trolls and in his paranoid delusional rant he actually further detailed a point that I was making to Cynique earlier: We know the goverment monitors various websites, that's a given....no secret. They already know who you are. But I don't consider them the biggest problem. RACIST TROLLS and LURKERS who monitor Black sites looking for victims are! And I think it's silly for Black people to feed them with personal information they can use.
  11. Ahh shit...Is that CYNIQUE coming to my rescue????? Cynique Oh, Puleeze. As much as i butt heads with Pioneer who is regular poster of long standing on this site, i find your accusations ridiculous. Lol.... You know I'm gonna have to use this moment as FURTHER EVIDENCE of you having a secret sexual attraction to me! I appreciate the thought, but perhaps Kalexander is right! Perhaps the only reason I even joined this site way back in 2012 is because I KNEW if I stayed on here long enough..eventually....Kalexaner would show up. And lo! On a more serious tip....... Does Kalexander's reaction help you to understand WHY it's not wise for someone to reveal too much of their personal information on the internet? It has nothing to do with being paranoid or hiding....it's about using common sense. No matter how much fun you may be having, things can take a "left turn" with people real quick and now they know ALL about you. No thanx. Kalexander A person without suspicion will respond within an hour. One with suspicion needs time to regroup or never respond again. Lol, I don't know but it seems to ME that the person (or persons) who is actually monitoring you is the one who can respond "with in an hour". But anyway.... I appears that you've caught me RED HANDED! I should have known it would only be a matter of time before you figured it out. So now, I supposed the only thing for you to do is turn yourself in to the nearest U.S. Embassy and we'll see that you get justice! Maybe......
  12. Wait........hold up....gimme a minute............. ((Pioneer gets up and leaves the room for a good 7 or 8 minutes....lol))
  13. , I don't discourage a person from getting a good education any more than I discourage someone from becoming a professional athlete. Meaning...... If they have the ABILITY to do it, by all means do it. I just don't believe most people have the ABILITY to achieve a professional degree. So I believe it's a waste of valuable time expecting them to. I think this society has trained too many of our youth to focus too much on the MEANS and not enough on the END. Unless you just love scholarly work and studying for hours on end, academic education is merely a means...one of many....not an end. The end is being able to support yourself and family, have a happy and meaningful life and accumulate wealth. There are thousands of Black people with degrees who STILL aren't attaining these valuable goals....so what does that say about the value of higher education? Because at the end of the day most of our educated Black people STILL have to go to White people begging them for jobs and opportunities. Back during Reconstruction right after slavery Black people who could barely read a book were able to build towns for themselves, houses to live in, hospitals, schools, churches, markets, raise their families, and eat better than many are eating today. Keep in mind that the same men who build the prisons are the same ones who built most of the educational institutions.....and for the same purposes....to control this society. I say we need to stop relying so much on systems White men set up to keep us beholden to them and focus on building our own systems and institutions that will allow us to live the kind of life we want to live.
  14. And look at how so many people have been robbed and murdered BECAUSE of Facebook. Hell, look at how many people have been getting killed LIVE why they were actually posting on Facebook! Some things you just can't help, we know the internet is being monitored......but when you recklessly and voluntarily put all your business out in the street with nothing really to gain by it, that's down right foolish.
  15. Besides drugs, the other major reason so many Black men are locked up in the United States is because after most of the manufacturing jobs that Black men traditionally made good money doing were purposely eliminated....most Black men of average intelligence and talent had fewwer opportunities to make a living for themselves. This is why I don't think more education is the key. Especially the traditional academic education that is being promoted as a solution to poverty. Higher education is called that for a reason....because most people CAN'T achieve it. You basically have to be smart to finish college and get a professional degree, and most people aren't "smart".....most people are average. Sure if the average person is strongly motivated and willing to work hard enough and spend a lot of money and time and do a lot of sacrificing they could possibly achieve one...but how many people have the discipline and time to do all of that? And more importantly, why should they? This society isn't focusing enough on making simply well paying jobs that the AVERAGE person can easily do and make enough to support themselves without breaking the law.
  16. One of the reasons the incarceration rate is so high is because there are TOO MANY LAWS. Not only do you have thousands of FEDERAL laws, but you have thousands more of STATE and LOCAL laws.....so many that no one citizen can know all of them. So you end up breaking them inadvertently. There are so many laws on the books now that even lawyers don't know all of them and have to often times refer their clients to OTHER lawyers who specialize in certain aspect of the law. You have to have special lawyers for custody battles. Special lawyers for medical malpractice. Special lawyers for real estate. This society is becoming too complex and those who aren't smart enough to manage and manuever there way through often get caught up in the system.
  17. Cynique who, incidentally, hides behind the picture of another man, apparently ashamed to show his own mug. Listen....... This is the 3rd or 4th time you've made mention of my using other pictures as avatars instead of my own image. As if it's some sort of cardinal cyber-sin or something.....lol. Has it ever occured to you that maybe it's not a very good idea for anyone and especially Black folks to parade around the internet posting their pictures and other forms of personal information for the WORLD to obtain? But ofcourse..... For someone as narcisisstic as you, I'm sure thoughts like that rarely if ever cross your mind and even if they did you obviously STILL couldn't resist advertising yourself all over the WORLD WIDE WEB.
  18. But I do take a second opinion as to him being brilliant. If he truly were he wouldn’t position himself with DT. His career as a surgeon also comes into question in as much as John Hopkins U. is concerned. Perhaps he's really BOOK SMART but lacks basic common sense..... Maybe he was one of those kids who was always academically inclined but never "cool" and always had this strong and nagging craving to "fit in" and be popular. Just maybe...this position provided him with an oppotunity to fullfil his dreams, lol. I was wondering what happened to Urkel after Family Matters.....lol.
  19. There may be a campaign to sexualize Black girls at an early age, but I DO believe that Black girls tend to become sexually mature earlier than White girls by nature. In other words, if White people did nothing but let nature take it's course.....Black girls would still be sexually active earlier than White girls. Teenage Black girls have been having sex and having babies for millions of years, that's just nature and that's not the problem. The real problem is THIS SOCIETY and it's restrictive and frankly unrealistic Judeo-Christian moral standards that tend to demonize sex and sexuality at ANY age. This society doesn't educate or prepare young people for PROPER sexual activity and the consequences off it like STDs and pregnancy and how to be good fathers and mothers and care for their offspring. Because of this lack of adequate education and preparation you have healthy teenagers enaging in acts that they are supposed to enage in withouth the prerequisite knowlege to protect themselves and this is what's leading to so many of the problems. Perhaps, we need to change our culture from that of anti-sex and pro-violence....to one of anti-violence and pro-sex.
  20. I agree with Troy, it depends on the situation. Unless I see some sort of trauma attached to the emotion, my first reaction would be curiousity. I'm not sure about White men, but I've learned over the years that White WOMEN can actually MAKE themselves cry real tears when it suit their purposes. Not saying they all do this, but I know some of them do. I first witnessed this when I was a kid in school and a White girl accused me of something and she seemed perfectly composed until we went into the office and cried like a baby with tears flowing and as soon as we were dismissed she left and laughed it up with her friends. And I've seen many other incidence similar to this one afterwards. I've heard Black women tell lies, but I haven't really witness any MAKE themselves cry. Or if they did.....they were so good I couldn't tell. If anything most Black women I knew tried NOT to cry, which made me take it all the more serious when I actually saw them doing it. The weird thing about crying is....... I tend to shed a tear or two when I get very angry, and most Black men I know are the same way.
  21. And to think...... If only Ben Carson would have known that poverty was simply a state of mind when he was just a poor kid coming up. Instead of all those years of going to college, studying, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loans in order to become a doctor and make a good living for himself......all he really had to so was go out on the porch, sit down, and CHANGE HIS MIND, lol. I don't agree with his politics but Carson is a brilliant brother. He wouldn't have made it to head nigga in neurosurgeon at John Hopkins Medical Center if he weren't. It's sad to see him disgrace himself and tarnish all of his achievements like this. It reminds me of how the esteemed General Colin Powell allowed himself and his sterling reputation to be turned into shit by doing the bidding of George W. Dr. Carson should resign from that position and abandon that sinking ship.
  22. RIP bro...... Lol, my man said: "You won't be around next year.....my rhymes is too severe!" Craig had to have been one of the greated MCs when it came to straight up delivery. I STILL bump "Ya Jockin' My Style" in my ride! Not too long ago I saw a video of him at some sort of fundamentalist church as if he had joined it or something.
  23. Del But remember on Good Times when Florida dates the Atheist after James dies. It's like people saying Holy Cow in the US. Yes, And if you'll remember James himself wasn't the biggest believer...lol. Remember when he teased Florida by looking at his watch and giving "God" so many seconds to perform some sort of act and his watch ended up stopping.....LOL. Cynique Hippocratic oath which originated with an ancient Greek PHYSICIAN who was NOT a religious figure. I know who Hippocrates was, but an OATH is still taken either to him or to a deity in his name. Which makes it a RELIGIOUS ACT. Oaths are religious acts.....which is why they usually have you put your hand on the BIBLE to take an oath in court. Specifically, what effect did all of the institutions you referred to have on Science? How about naming the "atom" after "Adam"...a religious character of Judaism and Christianity. Troy I think part of the problem is that you too are tying science to Western civilization which is relatively new even the stuff Hippocrates knew was taken from Kemet. Science predates Christianity I have to tell you the same thing I told Mel who brought up how much Western civilization may have stolen from Africa; once the West gets ahold of it.....it's not the same. Ofcourse they got a lot of the knowledge they use for SCIENCE from Africa as well as other ancient societies, but once they prepare it and modify it to fit Western science, that knowledge is no longer the same. Truth and knowledge predates Christianity, but "science" doesn't. "Science" itself is a Western institution. It's a Western way of collecting and organizing information.
  24. I know exacty what you're saying. This is one of the reasons I no longer call myself a Democrat (or a Republican). Malcolm X used to compare the Republicans and Democrats to wolves and foxes. Both of them want to eat you but they just have different methods of redering you vulnerable. Atleast when you have openly racist ultra-capitalist Republicans in office you don't expect for them to do anything for you......so you're forced to DO FOR SELF. When Democrats get in office many Black people seem to be lulled into a sleep thinking everything is alright and humanity is saved. While Black people were celebrating 8 years of Barack Obama, as a whole their economic and political bases were slowly being eroded and racist ultra-conservatives at the state and local level were slowly taking over major portions of the nation.
  25. It's one thing to be a loser with a good attitude. Another to be a winner with a rotten attitude. But if you're usually wrong AND you have a rotten attitude....lol...WATCH OUT NOW! Zaji I know I am moving into a little bit of objectivity when I begin to black out when even those whom I believe are right, become egotistical and bombastic in their responses. Any attack, to me, causes me to back off and lose a tad bit of respect for those whose views I happen to agree with. I then sink into questioning all sides of a discussion, those I agree and disagree with. All becomes a question and suspect. I ultimately quiet myself and my spirit and just watch and listen. Why? Because I want to be a good listener. I want to be enlightened. I want to find truth. Again, I have a VERY long way to go. Too long. But I am working on it. When the words start to fly in here, I go quiet, sit, cross my legs, close my eyes, and let the sounds flow over me until they find truth. For me, it depends on WHO'S doing the arguing. I don't like seeing Black people fighting and quarreling with eachother, especially over nonsense where there is no clear right or wrong. The recent squabble between Dr Umar Johnson and Tariq Nasheed is a good example of Black people wasting time and energy attacking eachother. However I loved seeing intelligent Black people out-debate and cut throught the lies of White racists in an eloquent and elegant manner. I loved seeing Malcolm X debate White scholars and intellectuals and defeat them. I loved seeing Dr Frances Cress Welsing debate White professors and embarass them.
