  1. How can you miss someone who never left? She's STILL on the site monitoring what's going on here; she's just not signing in so her name doesn't appear.....lol.
  2. Oh man, Powell's City of Books used to be my SPOT when I lived in Portland! I'd go up there every other weekend to read and meet women but mostly to read books that I didn't see anywhere else. I remember sitting down reading some some authentic translation of books by members of the Chinese revolution who documented what they saw and did and it talked about how children were attacking and killing their teachers in the class room. I haven't read books like that anywhere else. You may laugh when I say this but if you ever went to the Northside of Portland many of the streets would remind you a lot of Harlem; not only demographically but even how dense the infrastructure of the buildings are. North Portland is mostly Black and used to be even Blacker than it is today but it's been gentrified over the past 20 years.
  3. Damn, what's up with all of these one line responses for the past few days? Is it my perspective or have people totally lost the desire to even hold a discussion on a topic? Poster #1: I believe there's life on Mars Poster #2....3 days later: No, I don't agree with that ....and that's it. Nothing else to add or say. Chevdove @Chevdove is the only one I can count on to give some actual SUBSTANCE in her response. Ok Troy, I'm just venting a little.....lol. If you want to you can go ahead and erase this thread after a few people see it.
  4. Well as long as you're buying non-food items you're STILL paying taxes but I have 2 questions to ask you: 1. Except for the few AfroAmericans who have their own businesses and actually have the CHOICE of whether or not to pay their income taxes, how can most AfroAmericans who work regular jobs and have their taxes automatically taken out by their employer do this? 2. Even if some AfroAmericans chose not to pay taxes, who will protect them from the legal repercussions? Look at Wesley Snipes. How many judges, lawyers, prosecutors, and federal agents can they depend on to protect them from incarceration?
  5. Native Americans mostly kill THEMSELVES. Alcoholism and suicide are extremely high among the Native American populations. It seems that different cultures have different ways of dealing with stress and frustration. Where as people who are stressed out in the West often go on a shooting rampage, people in East Asia would rather set themselves on fire or jump off a building or perform some other form of self-torture.
  6. The issue is whether or not R Kelly qualifies as a "pedophile". I'm not sure when Aaliyah entered puberty, but most girls enter it before the ages of 14 or even 12. In order to qualify as one, there has to be evidence of him either having slept with someone who HASN'T attained puberty yet.....or evidence of him DESIRING to do so. Remember, you're not talking about mere activity with a "minor" which could be anyone under 18; or any other type of sexual misconduct which has a broad range of legality and illegality depending on culture and jurisdiction,. You're talking about the specific and narrow definition of who and what a pedophile is........and R Kelly doesn't fit that definition based on my limited knowledge of his activities.
  7. Native Americans? Perhaps? But not sure. In order for most Asians to support reparations, I think they'd have to be convinced that THEY would benefit from it somehow. AfroAmerican leaders would have to really SELL the Asians....and perhaps even the Latino communities to really support it.
  8. Del I wonder what the morality clauses would be for a Weapons Manufacturer? 1. At no time shall the the recipient(s) of these weapons use them or any other weapons on the seller(s) of them and this shall take immediate effect upon notice of this agreement. Chev I understand partially what you mean, but I don't believe it is that serious for other major reasons. Perhaps one woman wearing her hair blonde isn't that serious, but when you start seeing a pattern of them doing it over and over again then you realize it's a pathology. If you don't think so, ask yourself how many Asians or White women are willing to dye their hair black and curl it up into kinks? The most I've seen White women do is dreadlocks, and that's still relatively rare. I also understand what you're saying about how many Black women naturally have blonde hair and blue eyes but there are 2 things to consider on this: 1. Many of those so-called "Black women" are actually products of slavery and colonialism and have a lot of Caucasian ancestry in them too.....so that blonde hair and those blue eyes aren't part of a natural African make-up but just more Caucasian genes expressing themselves generations later. 2. Even among unmixed Black populations.....blonde hair and blue eyes are considered "defective" and aren't celebrated. Those features usually got you ostracized from the community because by nature they're seen as genetically "weak" or recessive. This is one of the reasons albinos had and still have such a hard time in traditional African culture. It's not about White traits being pretty or ugly. It's not about condeming White phenotypical traits....it's about PROMOTING African traits. It only makes sense to promote who and what you are instead of promoting someone else.
  9. The pesky bullets aren't the problem. It's the CRAZY NEGROES who are shooting them at eachother all over the ghetto that's the biggest problem. They're killing eachother more than the racist police and racist Caucasian civilians COMBINED. Take away the guns and the ammo and some of these fools will still find a way to kill eachother. Start using knives, shovels, hammers, bricks, or anything else they can get their hands on. Based on my observations, AfroAmericans OURSELVES need a good lecture about how much "black lives matter" more than the police do!
  10. It might even END as an All White state. Has anyone been following what's been going on there the past few days where right-wing militias have grouped up to take over the state's capital? https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/politics-news/militia-threat-shuts-down-oregon-capitol-amid-walkout-republican-lawmakers-n1020696 I used to live in Oregon. Portland has a LOT of Black people and most of them come from the Los Angeles and Oakland area.
  11. Delano I wouldn't call R Kelly a child molestor simply because he allegedly had sex with underaged females. It's not like they were 6 or 7......they were in their mid-teens. Not only was it consentual but they certainly were old enough to know what they were doing. Inappropriate....yes. Pedophilic.....no. As far as athletes and their public image...... Agents and others who control the major sports entertainment industry in America understand the power of atheletes and the influence they have on the public which is why they often use them to endorse commercials and even include behavioral clauses in their contracts that prohibit them from engaging in certain behavior that may seem "unbecoming" of an athlete in their position or of their team in general. Once you become a public figure you have a responsibility for the images you put out whether you want it or not.
  12. It's hard to get into the mind of another person but based on personal experiences and observations I think a large portion of Caucasians truly do see AfroAmericans as humans. What percentage....I'm not sure. Atleast 1/3rd if not a full 2/3rds of them probably see us as human beings equal to them although they may not quite understand our behavior. Actually....... If you combine the AfroAmericans and Latinos in power with those Whites who actually DO see AfroAmericans as deserving reperations, I'd say we have a pretty good shot.
  13. Troy My racial classification system may be personal and subjective but it's certainly not arbitrary, there are definate rules and guidelines that I follow in my determination and they are quite consistent and precise. Which is exactly what society needs when it comes to classifying people based on race or ethnicity.....consistency and precision. Under the current and popular method of classification; whether you agree that race even exists or not you should atleast agree that the system is inconsistent and HOW they classify people as well as the categories seem to change with each generation. Leading to more and more confusion.
  14. How do you KNOW this to be a fact? You're down in Florida, which is a hotbed of angry racist White males. Does it look like their numbers are dwindling down there, to you?
  15. Troy Maybe they thought they could get some inheritence money or other benefit by claiming descent.
  16. "Racism is an offshoot of slavery" ????? I would say it's the other way around. Slavery in the Americas was/is a by-product of the racist mindset that had already existed for thousands of years beforehand.
  17. In my opinion, AfroAmericans as a whole aren't ready for monetary reparations just yet. If they got the money tommorow, most of our people would run out and spend it on materials of decreasing value like cars, liquor, dope, and entertainment. I could see East Asian and Arab merchants having "Reparations Sales" preparing themselves for the hoards of silly Negroes rushing in to give them their rep money. We need to do some internal house cleaning FIRST before monetary reperations.
  18. Chev @Chevdove This sister is beautiful WITHOUT the blonde and strawberry hair. If she just wore her hair naturally black she would be just as attractive. This is just another of the methods for MAINTAINING the ideology of "White supremacy" by associating those who perform excellently in any field with having blonde hair. Look at Serena Williams and Beyoncé and how both of them are good at what they do but also feel like they have to make their hair blonde. While you're correct that in a race the only thing she needs to be is "fast", if it were uncovered that she was molesting children would this information not matter.....as long as she was "fast"? Now that was a little extreme, but my point is when it comes to atheletes who perform in the public....they have MORE RESPONSIBILITIES to perform than simply just being good at a particular exercise; they also have a public image to maintain. What type of message does it send to little AfroAmerican girls who predominately have kinky black hair to see some of their favorite female role models....some of who they hope to grow up and emulate one day......like Beyonce, Serena Williams, and now Sha'Carri to run around grinning with long blonde straight hair?
  19. Troy A lot of our sisters have a mistaken belief that the reason so many Black men prefer White women is because of the blonde hair or their looks in general. While that is a factor in some cases, I've found the ATTITUDE that so many Caucasian American women seem to have is often more attractive to Black men than that of many AfroAmerican women. A lot of Black men find comfort in the non-confrontational feminine attitude that so many White women have TRADITIONALLY had (that most are actually abandoning for a rougher and more vulgar attitude) to the point that they'd even choose a LESS physically attractive White woman they can boss around and be dominant with over a more physically attractive sister who won't take no shit from him.....lol.
  20. Troy Creoles may not have considered themselves fully Caucasian, but they sure didn't consider themselves the same as the darker skinned AfroAmericans they were living with and around during that time. They were a group of mixed or Mulatto people who maintained their own cultural identity. I'm glad you recognize the "one drop" rule as absurd; now if I can just get you to realize how absurd it is to accept anyone who simply calls themselves "Black" AS Black.....lol.
  21. Chev Those people could PASS for White because they WERE White....lol.
  22. Troy In 50 years all the gun nuts will be dead and fewer people will gunned down over silly shit. Not when they're training THEIR children how to shoot and stock pile guns. Chev At any rate, it seems like she is being 'promoted' for some strange reason Yeah, And the "stange" reason she's being promoted is because she's WHITE and BLONDE.
  23. He temporarily turned into a Black feminist/womanist for this thread only.
  24. The great AfroAmerican psychologist Dr. Amos Wilson says power is the ability to not only define YOUR reality but also demand that other's accept that definition. For centuries Caucasians in the United States have been successful in this as they have convinced not only other Caucasians in the U.S. but also most AfroAmericans in the U.S. that people who are clearly NOT African but are clearly CAUCASIAN....that these people are somehow "Black". Do you not see how this could lead to localized genetic annihilation? But to answer your question...... This man (Homer Plessy) is CLEARLY not an AfroAmerican but a Caucasian with perhaps SOME African ancestry. According to the history I've read of him he's of Creole descent.
  25. Troy You hit the nail on the head when you say they feel emboldened. The question is who or what is CAUSING them to feel emboldened? Trump? The media? Or is it the lack of an intelligent reaction from AfroAmericans who are in positions to actually punish these men for their actions. Again, we should blame the CORRECT people all the way around. I wouldn't JUST blame the racist criminals who commit these acts but I'd also blame those AfroAmericans in law enforcement as well as the politicians and judges who don't use their authority to go after them.
