Just as Cynique explained, the baton would have to be solid enough because the athletes have to pass the baton. So, hollow or not, especially if it is metal, it would definitely be solid enough. I have several relatives and close friends that ran track and relay, and the few that I've asked did not watch the video but believe that the junior definitely had a concussion from being struck with the baton. It may have been a slight concussion, but she definitely fell out of the race. She fell down and completely stopped running so, that means that she was definitely hurt by that baton. You know, there are a lot of news stories nowadays that make the national news that in the past I believe would not have.

Yes, it is confusing to me in that you start with the Winter Solstice. I start with the Spring Equinox and from that perspective I understand. I do not understand why you start from that point and that will continue to confuse me.

February Boycott: Amazon, Walmart, Target, McDonalds, Lowes
Chevdove replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
And on that same note--I think there is another boycott, I think April 19 and it's about Elon Musk. -
Oh really!? It does seem like our economy is getting worse for the poor and it's happening fast. This change seems to be happening fast. It doesn't seem like old news to me, though. It's only been maybe 'not even two years' since the first change occurred and it became $1.25. I think it's only been for about two years that this change has occurred. Dollar General already owns Dollar Tree, I think and they always had one aisle with some products sold at Dollar Tree. But now, Dollar Tree has added a lot of products that are much higher than $1.25. So then, house ware products are now $3.99! And the freezer now sale food around $5.00! IDK, I wonder that soon, the Dollar Tree stores will start looking 'dirty' as you said and just like Dollar General. I agree, as you said, that some of the products being sold are better though, but I think that this is still a sign of a bigger change to come that will not benefit the poor.

Passing the Buck. I believe that there is responsibility on both sides of the coin. I believe that historically, bailing out on our 'race' due to Black Hatred was committed by both Black men and Black women and still today this conflict is being encouraged to continue. I believe that Black Hatred is used to support White Domination. It's not a lie though, IMO, that Black men have failed Black women, and vice versa. But when it comes down to it, historically and based on the Bible, it is the Black males that are being blamed first for causing the downfall of Black civilizations. Were Black men undercut by the Black women? Absolutely. But there is a reason why the Creator starts with the Black men even for this too. And history is now repeating itself again. This is the same emotion that David embraced in the Bible and the same reason why he sabotaged Uriah-the-Hittite. But this intense Biblical account of a man of African descent being intolerant of a Hittite man who married a Black woman and who chose to reject his culture and join the Hebrew nation has been suppressed and kept hidden for some strange reason.

Dollar Tree Is Not the Same Anymore I wonder if anyone has noticed the change that has happened in Dollar Tree. Should the owners change the name now because many products in the stores do NOT cost a dollar anymore. At first, the prices went up from a dollar to being a dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) but now it seems that the store has done a complete change. Now, there are many products that cost much higher than a dollar. Why continue to call the store; Dollar Tree? Since this chain has been connected to Dollar General, then perhaps they will take ownership of Dollar Tree.

February Boycott: Amazon, Walmart, Target, McDonalds, Lowes
Chevdove replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
Initially, I was pessimistic but if they continue to have boycotts intermittently then something might happen. However, it's not being broadcasted very well. Exactly. Who is the leader? But even if there is a leader or some group that is heading this up, I wonder what do they represent. Are the objectives made clearly understood? If people disagree with some of the objectives then won't that defeat the boycott eventually? -
Yes, a couple of my relatives also chimed in and they ran track. One of my in-laws, was slated to go to the Olympics when it was supposed to be held in Atlanta years back and he ran on the relay team. He said that those batons are made of metal and even though they are hollow, they are still solid. I too have not watched it again recently, but I think that it was said several times that it was a medical diagnosis. IMO the junior was running very close to the senior and she was close enough to hit that junior hard enough to the point that she abruptly ended her race and fell down. I hope though that the two girls will make peace between the two of them and this does not go any farther. It would be a shame if it ended up in court.

February Boycott: Amazon, Walmart, Target, McDonalds, Lowes
Chevdove replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
I was just told yesterday that there is another boycott going on right now. It runs from April 7 to April 14. Some of the stores supposedly boycotted are Walmart, Target and a few more. -
I believe you partially because you know what goes on behind the scenes. But in this case, it may be other factors too that led to it being a viral news story. LOL Now wait-a-minute! She did not run away from the impact! She completely bowed out of the race and fell to the ground. I asked someone who ran track and was told that baton was solid. She absolutely fell out of the race. That senior whacked her really hard. Maybe it was a slight concussion but hair or no hair, it was not like she wore a helmet. Also, the diagnosis was perhaps based on lab work and possibly some type of imaging, if so, then I find it hard to believe that a medical doctor would give a false diagnosis if lab works were performed.

That is wild! LOL I am surprised to think that they would believe that they could go over there to Kenya, or anywhere in Africa and believe that they would be respected in their movement preaching about 'Black Jesus'. WOW. In the grand scheme though, that is so trivial at this time of humanity. Their street preaching in Africa about Jesus being Black is so small scale today, imo and I base this on the Bible. Now, if that group was dealing with government leaders like the president of Kenya or Ethiopia or Trump, then I could see this attack as being significant. For example, the late Nipsey Hussle, met the president of Eritrea and was making deals, economic deals. His music incorporated his religious beliefs in Jesus and so, Nipsey was recognized on a more global scale about his stance on religion and 'Black' Jesus, so those Kenyans in the streets and the group over there are not going to make a significant impact with their religious beliefs anyway. Today, most of the leaders of this world already know the true identity of Jesus and that a 'false Jesus' was used throughout the Colonial Empire to gain control of people's mindset on White domination. It's the masses in the world that are still affected and a much bigger movement is needed to bring out the truth. Moses was 'a big wig', so-to-speak, he was slated to be the pharaoh over Egypt and was highly educated. Daniel was highly educated and was also 'a big wig' and was elevated to be in the highest form of the big governments. Peter was 'a small wig' initially but Jesus told him that he had to get old before he would be able to be effective as a leader. Paul was 'a big wig' and highly educated and he said that he spoke many different languages. I believe that most of those Africans over there believe that Black Americans are like the Biblical description of Amorites. I believe that most African leaders think that we are 'pawns' over here and they are cautious in how they relate to us over here. Most of those Kenyans and others in the Horn of Africa have an idea of the true history about Jesus of Nazareth, but they suppress it and embrace the false teachings of the western world too, just like we have done too. But it may be a little different over there. It's not that they don't know, but they don't care right now. Africans have dealt with 'Black' leaders continually and conflict a lot, so a 'Black Jesus' leader type movement would not affect them that much in the way that it would affect us over here. And then what about the Rastafarian Movement in the music industry. I am learning about that by and by, but it seems like it was a big movement that spread all over Europe and other places.

Yes, whether or not she feels in her heart that it was not intentional, she did hit the other girl hard enough to the point she was hurt and stopped her endeavor to race. And then after the race, she did not even go back and make apologies for the 'supposed unintentional hit'. Bad sportsmanship in that regards imo. Yes! Hitting someone deliberately and intentionally is what courts have to decide in cases all the time and then add it the question; was it premeditated? She did not premeditate on that act, imo because I don't even think that she had any earlier conflicts with her. But when that other girl ran up on her and and had that much power to pass her, well that was amazing, and as a senior and a well decorated runner, she obviously was not expecting that! And YES!!!--I am gong to bring up a racial issue because it has been turning in my mind of another possible scenario; I wonder what the perpetrator would have done, if it was a White girl that ran up on her and passed her by in close proximity? Would she have been so angry as to pop her with her baton? Or would she have hit her or found a way to avoid contact? And she did hit a White runner, then how would the public react?

So, when after the most extreme tilt, summertime, the earth begins to gradually straighten or 'not tilt' and then forms a straight line from north to south for a few hours? So then, this point when it does that would perhaps be the fall equinox? And then a few hours later, say after 24 or so, then it begins to tilt the other way... until it forms the most extreme tilt--December Solstice--then by March, it then forms another straight line from north to south? So when it does its' most extreme tilt in the summertime, then the earth sort of is tilting towards the sun? And so, the areas of the continents situated nearest the equator is getting extreme heat for about three months? So then, after the earth comes to a north/south straight line during that day of the equinox, then the earth begins to tilt away from the sun? So then, after autumn and by the Winter Solstice, the earth his tilted in the extreme away from the sun? And so, the areas of the land mass nearest the equator, whether above or below experience a cold weather season for about three months, but not as extreme as the earth's polar regions? OH MY GOSH! I think I am understanding the concept now. I realize that I do not have the proper scientific words to explain what I am now visualizing, but am I making sense in my explanation of the equinoxes, based on what you have explained in lieu of the solstices? I do realize too, that many other factors come into play when it comes to the four seasons such as the wind systems and the Cold Fronts, and the Warm Fronts, Northeasterly wind patterns, Jet Streams, ocean currents, etc. and that affect the earth due to the earth's tilting to and from the grand sun. The sun is powerful. And so, this movement of the earth around the sun, is also a part of a wider 'space' and that is why the other stars and planet-stars are so fascinating in how they too can, at times, affect our earth depending on their unique movements. Space science is vast and I believe there will be much more wonders to come. Thank you! You've help me a lot.

I regret to tell you that those kind of experiments only confuses me and frustrates my mind more. Years back though, I was so excited to finally realize that the earth's tilt is the very cause of the four (4) seasons and this is now very easy for me to understand and teach. However, it is the equinox that is a complete confusion for me, if that makes any sense for you to understand where my dilemma rest. During the Autumnal Equinox, which occurs in the last part of September, at some point, the earth is suppose to be positioned in such a way that autumn begins... HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND!!! Okay, so then during the Vernal Equinox, which occurs in the last part of March, at some point, on a specific day, the earth is suppose to be positioned in such a way that Spring begins, ... WHAT DOES THAT MEAN!? I absolutely understand and can visualize the earth's tilt causing the four seasons, but that is NOT the same as defining the equinoxes or the solstices. There is a distinction and that is where I am hung up. That is wild! ROFL Now, I don't feel so bad about not understanding 'space science'. Absolutely. I call it guided 'tunnel vision'.

March 13-14, 2025 Total Lunar Eclipse
Chevdove replied to Chevdove's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
It was a missed event in my neck of the woods. Complete cloud coverage. -
Oh boy! And, I would like to highlight that about two weeks later after the lunar eclipse, there was a solar eclipse! The type of solar eclipse that occurred was a partial solar eclipse. And, I will also add that, although many western scientist like to downplay is that right at the time of this solar eclipse, there was a catastrophic earthquake, a 7.7 on the Richter scale in China.

Okay. I am interested. This is one of my favorite passions, understanding how the planets and stars align, but I do not completely understand how the equinox occurs. I am challenged when it comes to understanding 'spacial' objects! Anyone that knows how I post may realize that I love Space Science, but nevertheless, it is still a challenge for me.

I vaguely remember a similar situation that went viral last year, and it was not as bad as Kerrigan, the ice skater being hit by Hardin's hit man. It was probably on the lines of this viral video. It was also about high school students. I can't remember the story completely, but it went viral and was picked up by big news agencies. It involved a girl that was knocked out and had a concussion. Because the girl that hit her was Black, the story blew up. I vaguely remember that the Black girl was targeted as the perpetrator, but later, it was brought out that the White girl was one of the instigators and the situation swelled to a street brawl. And all because the Black girl knocked out the White girl, the story blew up and the Black girl became cast as the perpetrator. So, the fact that this story went viral and was picked up by GMA seems like what is happening today with stories that would have been aired on a Dr. Phil show in the past. So, perhaps, if the 'small' cameras are there to film these kind of incidences in a 'small' community and ends up going viral on a social media site, then big news agencies see this as a good human conflict that they can also benefit from picking up as well. Today, this seems to be happening a lot. Freedom of speech and opinion cannot be controlled as it has been in the past by bigger agencies now, and so I suppose they have decided to capitalize on these kinds of stories since they cannot control popular opinion on a smaller scale anymore. I remember another story at a college campus where a drunk girl insulted another student working at a night desk and, had it not been for social media, the victim would have been completely ignored and dubbed the villain. The victim, in the past, would have been told that her story was not newsworthy, but today, this girl was supported as being completely victimized. So, I suppose, it's a matter of public opinion in some cases and these kind of stories, may or may not get news coverage. I think the college was in Kentucky and there was a 'small' camera that happened to roll on the incident.
-
This kind of story in the past would probably be a good topic for a talk show, something you might see on a Dr. Phil show! So, yes, I can understand your disdain! Now today, these kind of stories get picked up by big news agencies perhaps because they know how to grab small stories that may invoke public opinion and so, they push these kind of incidences and help them stay afloat. LOL! Really!? Absolutely. Thank you! Even though people can spend this into a racial issue and highlight some historical comparisons, this kind of behavior happens in any race.
-
Never thought about this possibility. Well, now that you brought this up, I kind of think that could be so true because of what did already happen in the past. We are not taught about what really happened during the lifetime of Ghengis Khan! How depressing.

Black Girl Clobbers Another Black Girl with Baton During Track Relay--Went Viral! I keep watching this over and over in shock! And get this, the perpetrator is now playing the victim. She claims that it was an accident. I am trying to be objective but, it looks suspicious to me. Kaelen Tucker, a Brookville High School athlete
