  1. The Democrats are about to get their backsides waxed in this year's midterm elections. Several mistakes are to blame and most are unforced errors. 1) Too many Black people remain ignorant of what Critical Race Theory actually is. It's not Black History, although many well-meaning Black folks claim that it is. And sadly, they cling to this errant view on social media. But Critical Race Theory is NOT Black History, which is a collection of truths and facts. Theories are simply suppositions. I will maintain that CRT is taught only at the university level not in grade, intermediate or any high schools. The problem lies in that few have come up with a ONE SENTENCE description of exactly what Critical Race Theory is. Most who try to explain it employ 50-cent word verbiage which average readers in the U.S. have a hard time understanding since most read at a 7th and 8th grade level. Others dance around it claiming: "Oh, it's been around for 40 years and such and such.โ€ Long-winded explanations do little to clear the air. So, I fashioned a one-sentence retort that can be shoved in the face of CRT detractors. Because the GOP and its supporters have been killing us on messaging while we've gleefully surrendered the intellectual landscape by choosing to scream dumb chit such as "Defund the Police!" Oh, yeah, what a winning slogan that was. Here is my one sentence description of CRT: Critical Race Theory is a premise that posits skin color and race determine the outcomes of most decisions, laws and behavior in the U.S. That's it! That is the one sentence description. And this one line should have been tossed back at those White racists who have been skewering us with attacks on the social term "woke." This is why we have lost the Messaging War. And CRT is going to be used by millions upon millions of racist and angry Whites, Latinos and some Blacks to clobber the Democrats at the polls in November. 2) Refusal to acknowledge Bernie Sanders' push for so-called Democratic Socialism has failed miserably. Far too many folks are still drunk on Bernie's Kool-Aid. I keep running into folks who swear the solution to everything is Socialism. As if this canard of economic belief has been successful in any modern society or nation. However, by listening to this aged clown Bernie, AOC and her merry band of knuckleheads threw in all their social wants and desires into the Build Back Better bill, completely guaranteeing that no one, except maybe Kim Jong-Un, would go for it. The bill had to be reworked a few times before the House took a vote. That's why it failed. BBB contained too too much, would cost too much and proved far too ambitious for most legislators and pundits. But you can't tell Bernie Bots anything. They truly believe they were sent from on high to rule. Yeah, okay. In addition to having a new Voting Rights Bill fail, Black people are now going to have to contend with even more Red states preparing their own voter suppression laws. Gotta hand it to all those dumb-azz 2016 third party voters. By denying Hillary Clinton their votes, they enabled Trump to squeak by in enough states to win him the White House. I doubted Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg would have survived the first term of whomever won in 2016. She didn't. And this gave Trump a chance to appoint three toadies to the Supreme Court. I believe more than 10% of Bernie Bots voted for Trump in 2016. Some news outlets peg it higher. Even if most return to the Dems this year, we're still going to lose in November. Bernie supporters likely put Trump over the top
  2. Yes! I just recently heard of CRT and I had to do my research.

Just dropped in to get a whiff of what's going on here since I made my last departure, an exit that deferred to my aversion for being around those I can't stomach. And what a good decision that was. OMG! I can only gasp at how the vibe here has become even more irritating. ๐Ÿ™„ 'Felt like I had stumbled into a FOX "News" echo chamber, reeking with the gospel of right wing half truths, and rampant with hysterical conspiracy theories involving the ubiquitous "they". But - before I provide further material for possible rebukes from Mzuri in her self-appointed role as the Sergeant-at-Arms of this forum, ever ready to lecture those who don't conform to the protocols she has taken the liberty to put in place, - let me assure that i am aware no one really gives a damn what I think. (And I don't give a damn that nobody doesn't give a damn.) ๐Ÿ˜ Now, as I was saying... mulling over what's going on here, i've reached the conclusion that this mind boggling phenomenon called CIVILIZATION, in its infinite journey, lurches forward doing what it has always done in an environment teeming with natural and manufactured marvels; visible and invisible dangers. And because it is the nature of the bi-ped beast evolution has spawned, humanity engages in an eternal conflict that pits the "have's" against the "have-not's", and the "already-are's" against the "wanna-be's", dumping them into a horde of "never will-be's", leaving everyone to expect freedom and justice for all. Foolish dreamers - idiots upon whom the abused Earth will eventually take its revenge. Welcome to the real world. Ah, but every poster here clings to their own version of the truth about the "real" world where the ongoing clash between the bad "them" and the good "us" wages on. And each opinionated contributor is eager to advance political narratives or embrace deep state conspiracy theories. As if a government controlled by an evil cabal has to plot something that Mankind naturally does on its own, as if what is happening now is not just another rehearsal for the highly anticipated Armageddon extravaganza, as if there was never a bubonic plague, no unrest nor revolts among the masses, no power hungry despots nor upheavals of the status quo. As if there has never been the fall of Great Empires, as if societies and cultures don't recycle and go through eras and periods wherein the more things change the more they become the same, all under the direction of a Universe with a wicked sense of humor! Ha-Ha.๐Ÿ˜„ The joke's on us as Fate mocks our hopes and Father Time yawns, bored by the repetition of the proverbial phoenix rising from its ashes. And Life goes on as Civilization survives. But all is not yet lost on this site, and in spite of it having become a haven for Democrat bashers, and a coop full of paranoid "Chicken Littles" beaned by acorns and panicked into thinking "the sky is falling, there is a calm voice of reason in this cyber wilderness, a someone exhibiting logic, and balance. Thank "goodness" for my boy, Troy, who neutralizes the histrionics and relegates others to wallow in the factoids of their misinformation. Happy New Year, ol buddy. Hang in there. And, oh yeah. Fuck Retrumpican obstructionists!
  4. National sovereignty always rules, any way you cut it. Personally, I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for people, governments and processes that violate it.
  5. After seeing what the Democrats were doing to America(ns) election after election after election, I bolted from the party decades ago and never looked back, watching a fatigued and suffering black America (- that wouldn't listen, succumb to the Democrat's gaslighting -), in the rear view mirror. As a former election official in (then) a major metropolitan area, I can tell you with 100% certainty that Bernie supporters didn't put Trump over the top. Trump won outright. "Red states preparing their own voter suppression laws" | No - voter and election integrity efforts and laws are not voter suppression. Until black America wakes up and realizes that it has been taken to the cleaners since the creation of the Ku Klux Klan-founding Democrat party, it will continue to suffer through the misery of being marginalized and taken for granted as nothing more than minstrelized suckers chasing a wrinkled $100 bill in the wind across a busy highway, while blindfolded.
  6. @Chevdove One point, about the support for said law in nyc. you have to comprehend, nyc has a larger percentage of recent immigres than any other city in the usa by a wide margin. So you have to comprehend, most city councils in the usa don't have any interest for a law like this, but nyc is a unique city, not just in size, but its makeup. For example, washington d.c. itself has a large black population, who are in the descendent of enslaved mold, but the virginia counties outside washington d.c. are filled with immigrants, but many of these immigrants are financially above the immigrants who are in nyc , who are usually from more financially poorer means. then you look at a los angeles. los angeles is the second largest city in the usa, but the mexican populace in los angeles is a majority of the latin american community and they tend to be very wary of recent immigrants, while nyc's latin american populace is the most multigeographic of a latin american communit in the usa, you have colombians/nicaraguant/s paraguayans/peruvians/ et cetera, the mix means less a singular focus as in los angeles and the asian community in nyc is also not led by the chinese american community in the way los angeles has a huge chinese american community that dictates more and is less prone to this law. so.. the uniqueness of nyc's makeup has a role to play in this.
  7. Adding insult to the fact that minorities right to vote has to be renewed like a driver's license, senate minority leader Mitch McConnell said Blacks vote just as much as Americans. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž

I actually DO care about what people say. Some folks on here make some incredibly valid points. And some of them alert others to events and issues they may be unaware of. Yeah, we all have opinions and viewpoints. But that does not mean we should malign each other or engage in feuds. I am Democrat and have been since the days of Gerald Ford. I am not a Bernie fan and view him solely as a chief divider of those on the Left. (Not to mention a really grumpy loser). Maybe what is missing is a true humor column that bears some connection to current events. Because honestly, that's all I'm interested in. Oh, and NFL football. That's still on free TV.
  9. Background[edit] The song was recorded on 11 August 2019, and after being posted on social media, it received positive responses from fans. Master KG said he called "his sister Nomcebo to come so we can finish the song".... The official music video was released on 21 December 2019.[7] After it went viral,... Composition[edit] Although it has "religious-leaning" lyrics, "Jerusalema" is an upbeat[9] disco-house track[5][11][12] containing "deep", "spiritual",[13] gospel lyrics.[14][15] Lyrically, as noted by OkayAfrica's Rufaro Samanga, "it speaks about Jerusalem being the home of many religious believers". The remix sees Burna Boy incorporating his signature Afrobeats style,[9] singing part of his verse in isiZulu, while emphasizing the unity of African artists.[15] Jerusalema - Wikipedia Jerusalema Dance Challenge Around the World; These are some of my favorite: Sri Lanka
  10. Simply speaking, erasing history tends to breed more ignorance than it does common sense. Get over it.
  11. Cynique, do you realize how small the statements you've made make you look / appear? They are the kind of minute retorts I used to see and hear from others, as far back as the 8th grade. The circular hyperbole you've laid out makes absolutely zero (0) sense (- , at least to me, that is -). Let's fast-forward on the IQ scale... How many physical points does it take to make a minimal (real) three-dimensional object? If you get this one right, you might get an 'attagirl'. On the other hand, if you get it wrong, watch that next step; it's a long way to the bottom. | white supremists? DYM white 'supremacist'? | thick skulled? DYM 'thick-skulled'? | Just sayin'. (?) Actually, I do not know. However, there are many more relatives of the Aunt Jemima legacy who have something to say. https://www.examiner-enterprise.com/story/news/2020/06/24/8216aunt-jemima8217-descendants-upset-her-likeness-is-being-8216erased-from-history8217/42119505/ In the end, it's all about money. True or not, we'll all probably find out when the litigation clouds clear.
  12. In a nutshell, this misdirected pushback is not only from the looney bin, it has no basis in rational empirical truth-based facts. Being anti-White will get black America absolutely nowhere. Black Americans have been swimming in the same intellectual quicksand for more than 100 years. You know, PhDs (both real and phony,) just don't seem to generate the yield that they used to. After getting out of undergraduate school, I seem to remember quite a few of them who just couldn't see the real world beyond the theoretical rim and as a result, they literally ended up flipping burgers to make a living for quite a while. Big dupe coming? Oh, and you forgot the apostrophe in 'doesn't'. Yup.
  13. Totally agree, Great response. Much appreciated.
  14. ************************************************************************************ @Dr Francis Welsin I disagree with your rationale. I think it's wrong to raise racists, whether you are Black or white. Why teach your children to hate another race? People are going to be attracted to, get down with, and marry whoever they want. Personally, I am not attracted to white men and I don't understand why a Black woman would want to be with one. Other than money I don't see what they have to offer. But Black men probably choose a white woman because those chicks will do backflips to get the D. What man wouldn't want a woman that waits on him all day long. And we all know that most Sisters aren't going to do all of that. Years ago I had a Black friend/co-worker, he was in the military and he was married to a Korean woman. I asked him why he chose her and he said that all the Black women he knew asked him to give them money to get their hair and nails done. And then when he went to Korea he met this woman and she did everything for him including giving him money. So he married her. I didn't care for the idea of him marrying the Korean, but I understood his reasoning. People are going to marry the person that suits them, most people don't choose their spouse based on what their parents or anyone else thinks about it. ************************************************************************************
  15. @Cynique, as you may already know, I'm a huge fan of NFL football. So, I'm posted up in front of the TV whenever a pro football game is being played. I'll be that way until the 2nd week of February 2022.๐Ÿ˜€ I think the Packers and Chiefs will end up in the Super Bowl. To be modified if either team loses in playoffs.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž
  16. @nels Given the lack of moderation on the comments, it seems like the article was written purely for the sake a giving racist trolls something to to use to advance the notion of "racial" inferiority. I wish they would simply take sports out of schools, it is way out of control today. The athletes should be paid and the pretense of attending school should just be dispensed with.
  17. @richardmurray, I understand this particular law is unique to NYC. Still, I do not believe I should be able to register and/or vote in a city in another country if I do not have full citizenship. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  18. IMO, voting should be a right reserved for citizens. The US already has enough issues in that regard. I would not show up in another country and feel that I should be able to vote as a non-citizen or permanent resident. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  19. Sovereign nations are sovereign for a reason. No one should be allowed to come to our country, usurp our right to vote, and then screw it up like the ones they left. Only political novices, lunatics and The Left support this idiocy.
  20. That was a dumb decision to slash the police budget in a city with the highest murder rate in the country. That's like burning brand new KN95 masks and pouring vaccine down the drain in the middle of a pandemic.๐Ÿ˜ The city of Chicago should be paying police to work overtime in an effort to control crime. The mayor doesn't need ATF. She needs to WTF (wake the f8ck) up and empower the resources at her disposal.๐Ÿ˜Ž
  21. This is a good point that is being lost on many leftists protesting against racism and right wingers talking about law and order. Black people don't want to defund the police because they think police won't be available when needed. Any discussion of social spending needs to be separate from police reform.
