  1. Regardless of how the media tried to criminalize the victim, George Floyd did not deserve to be murdered. While George Floyd may not have set out to become a martyr, his murder put a bullseye on American police brutality. In fact, I think George Floyd's execution date should be another federal holiday to commemorate all of our brothas and sistas wrongfully murdered by race soldiers. 😎
  2. I've had partners say I was unbelievable, unlike your statement it wasn't a compliment.
  3. Yes, Quick witted too! Good Times! Very good times!
  4. @Stefan, it's all good. We may not agree on everything or much of anything. It's all about the discussion. I'm not the person who disparages our 1st black POTUS. I was extremely proud of him. I also applauded his effort in trying to get things done while sitting in the seat. But, I also know how governments work around the globe from democracies to dictatorships and everything in between. It's a well-oiled machine. It's not about believing in super secret cabals and societies. Just a matter of paying attention to how things transpire around the world. Again, white supremacy is the most powerful force on the planet right now. A failure to understand what it is and how it works, everything else will only lead to confusion. Mass media is definitely an opiate that either has people shaken, stirred and agitated or comfortably numb. Then, there's the distractions of gross consumerism and entertainment to keep folks anesthetized too. Collectively, white folks aren't dumb at all. Thinking decades ahead, they know exactly what they're doing to maintain power. If this wasn't true, white supremacy would have been dismantled a long time ago. 😎
  5. Cats were for and some of the trash talking was next level. After one game this guy puts on cologne. The other brother says that works better with soap and water.
  6. @Pioneer1 after reading greg's comment, it seems his solution is in two parts: 1 every black woman must be married 2 every black man must be a loving financially able partner. The problem is, the assumptions. 1. that a fiscally poor or unemployed child or adult from a happy home or part of a happy home will not roam the streets or commit illegalities or commit crimes for profit. 2. that unmarried parents are by default bad parents. That is another false assumption.
  7. @ProfD How many times have I noted that we have so many turncoats in our midst? And they will never stop trying to undermine us.
  8. Brotha @Troy, you're running a legit business and providing a space for us. I've noticed the absence of the Google ads.😁 Handle your BI as you best see fit and that is most conducive to your bottom line. You have my admiration and support. Keep it up mayne. 😎
  9. Wait, what/ Are you saying the good white people of America committed crimes, in a well organized fashion no less? Do you think @Greg's head will explode with this revelation?
  10. No knock warrants are a by-product of the War on Drugs started by POTUS Nixon in the 1970s and brought to full bear by POTUS Reagan in the 1980s and mandatory minimum sentencing guidelines under POTUS Clinton in the 1990s. Drugs were dumped into black communities. The whole War on Drugs was an effort aimed at incarcerating and killing black folks. Interestingly, there was no such thing as a no knock warrant during Prohibition and/or the height of organized crime in America. 😎
  11. Uncle Ruckus, "historically" is a word you should remove from your vocabulary. You've demonstrated history is not part of your repertoire. When massa let Black women, he raped to birth more slaves, eat pig intestines, snout, feet, and tails, he was being a better provider than her enslaved mate, right?
  12. @Del @Mel Hopkins👍 🤗💕 So fortunate to have my life enriched by crossing paths with you 2 delightful unicorns!
  13. 😋 Yes, Yes, Yes! “Stop-the-love-you-save-may-be-your-own Fine Black Men?” The fine Black men that trigger the lip-licking-I-want-to-eat-you-like -a-cookie response? I used to see them in “The Cage” at West 4th. Mmm, those brothers are next-level beautiful! Now my heart is racing!
  14. Ok Stefan as i previously wrote the last time you made this claim. You exhibited, continue to exhibit troll like behavior. For example making claims of me that are demonstrably untrue. For example, I have problem with people sharing memes I’ve done it myself. Simply sharing a name die not make a troll.
  15. It's kinda like being the Goat, it isn't a self annointed appellation. What you are describing is a scholar, academian or scholastic. However you are a mistress of rhetoric, logic and grammar which form the basis of a classic Greek education otherwise known as the Trivium. You aim so high that your comparison isn't likely to exist either. To use the vernacular. Yoos a Bad B!+¢π. I mean that with the utmost respect and affection. I had four years of Latin and three of Spanish in high school. Yet I had to look up this word. To be certain what you are saying. 100% You're my kind of crazy. I am an outsider amongst other outsiders. Astrologers think I am heretical. And my Tai Chi master used to call Martian. I also picked up the nickname Mr Neptune. A fellow Tarot card reader called me Pluto because I am really out there. Welcome to the club. Also you are an unconscious Magician. In my life time I have only met 3.
  16. This thread kinda befuddled me. I couldn't figure out just what Richard and Mel were debating in their wordsmith smack down All i know is that I was not entirely in sync with the vibe. Delano recently referred to be an Alpha intellect(?) . Not true. i don't consider myself an intellect. i can't quote Kafka or Kant, deconstruct Existentialism, relate Coltrane to Bartok, exalt great literary heroes or tragediennes, toss Latin phrases around, debate quantum physics, expound on the specifics of a zone defense. A verbal induced orgasm? Get outta here. Soon to be 89, the quintessential Renaissance Man has, alas, eluded me, denying me this thrill, undoubtedly because I didn't make the cut, myself. No, I'm not an intellect but I would answer to being an iconoclast or, better still, a polemicist. So my contrary input into the conversation would simply be that Kim Kardashian is a 4th generation Armenian on her father's side. This ethnic group balks at being called Arabs as they often are referred to, but they can't deny that among their population is a considerable sub species of gypsies... When it comes to the Kardashians, the old expression about how you can "take the the nigga out the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the nigga" kinda comes to mind... 😉 As for referring to black men as being "beautiful", that is so typical of Mel and her uniquely exuberant perspective on things. "Polemecist" that I am, an alternative adjective that comes to my mind when narrowing down the the vast spectrum of black men is "exotic", a term white women used to use when possessed by an attack of jungle fever. (I'm sure our favorite troll, Greg, would insist that the reason white women listen when black men talk is because they're afraid of them. He doesn't have the balls to imagine what an aphrodisiac danger can be. 😳 ) Whatever. Whenever a brotha commanded a second lip-lickin look from me i just called him "fione". 😛 So much for the ramblings of a krazy ol broad. I'm done.
  17. that video you shared @Mel Hopkins I laughed the whole way "I am sociologically programmed to want chocolate on valentines day: "I just found out idris elba follows me" "Stop bragging, <with disgusted face> I wasn't following him" "my dream interracial relationship is idris elba... my nervous system would shut down" <The black male actor who I think is hetero I think he was in the film, how stella got her groove back and he is licking his lips talking about idris sexually> The photo of idris elba touching the then pregnant white woman's belly and her smile... "He's the funniest kindest most down to earth person ever ... he's heaven" "He's not intimidatingly suave" circa 5:11 the eyes of the mulatto colored black women when she said : "he has been sexy for a minute" Said woman asked him:"you did those stunts" and he replied "yes baby" and her reaction media women, classic Interesting that his crush is fellow long time married thespian, meryl streep. the white pregnant woman I have never had a stranger female put her hands out to hug me like that. I don't think I would want that either to be honest. "it didn't feel long enough when I did it"
  18. From youtube: Iddris Sandu discusses his journey from a young aspiring engineer to a technologist, as well as the role of technology as an agent for sustainable change in the Black Lives Matter movement (in the US, the diaspora, and across the continent of Africa). Paving the way for those who might one day be deemed an "Architectural Technologist", Iddris Sandu is a pioneering young technologist seeking to level the playing field for fellow African youth & other marginalized groups. Having worked with the likes of creatives such as Nipsey Hussle and Louis Vuitton & Off-White's Virgil Abloh, Iddris has been making waves since before he turned 18. Not only is Iddris breaking ground in the use of emerging technology in creative spaces, but also in creating unique and sustainable designs to impact some of the most vulnerable populations in society. I follow this trend but since "clayton bigsby" pop up in the forum time to time, I think I'll maintain this thread when I discover new information about technologists from the African Diaspora... Meet Alan Emtage, the Black Technologist Who Invented ARCHIE, the First Internet Search Engine Internet search has had a profound impact on our own internal makeup—on how we learn, and how we think. https://daily.jstor.org/alan-emtage-first-internet-search-engine/#:~:text=But it's worth revisiting that,FTP servers%3A “ARCHIE.” "At a time when “googling” has become the generic term for conducting an internet search, it can be hard to remember that search had a long history before Google came along. But it’s worth revisiting that past during Black History Month, because the pre-Google era saw one of the most momentous black contributions to the development of the internet: the invention of internet search itself, by Alan Emtage."
  19. Thanks for posting @Mel Hopkins. I rarely use gaggle. I prefer Startpage.com they don't sell your information plus it's a metasearch engine that returns unique pages. And while it may be powered by gaggle it doesn't empower gaggle.
  20. @Cynique I have a saying I want to care less without becoming careless.
  21. Jews in America were instrumental in manipulating, er, convincing white folks to help establish, protect and defend the state of Israel back in 1948.😎
  22. Justin Edmund, recognized as one of the top digital product designers in the world, help create the world's largest vision board "Pinterest." Justin was Pinterest’s 7th employee. Today he is one of the most sought-after digital designers. When he's not working on his own projects, he's fielding consulting request from the top global software companies. Here's what Business Insider wrote about him in their 2019 Top 75 Designers article. "Product Designer, Pinterest Social bookmarking site Pinterest has sparked a major revolution in web design, with many sites blatantly copying Pinterest's style because it simply works in attracting users. Justin Edmund got his start in 2010 when he interned on Facebook's design team during college. After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University, Edmund landed a job at Pinterest where he has played a crucial role in the building the site's look and feel."
  23. @richardmurray, black men do not truly believe white women are a better prize. White women are more easily accessible and less complicated. When black athletes are recruited to a college or university, the tour includes a visit of the campus, training facilities and dormitories, a hearty breakfast, lunch and dinner and no shortage of white women to satisfy their physical needs. Athletes get used to this treatment and carry it over into their professional lives. Of course, it's a set up. White women are forbidden fruit. But, white men will prostitute their women in order to make money and destroy black men. Sure enough, black men will make a ton of money only to give it right back to white folks by way of gross consumerism and taking care of white women and their offspring either voluntarily or involuntarily. Lamar Odom and now Kanye West should be case studies in why it's not a good idea for black men to entangle themselves with white women. But, this BS has been ongoing since Jack Johnson won the World Heavyweight boxing title back in 1908. 😎
  24. One white man started World War II. One white man started the dust-up that is the Russian/Ukrainian conflict. Seems *dumb* that millions of white men cannot stop one of their own from destabilizing world peace and/or wreaking havoc on another country. I would not brag on the intelligence and bravery of white men who run around killing millions of people for no reason. 😎
  25. AfroAmericans already know the Russian/Ukrainian conflict is a dust up among white folks. Also, we would love for Britney Griner to make it back home too. But, AfroAmericans have bigger issues to deal with right here in America. Our folks can't buy a bag of groceries or worship in peace without fearing an AR-15 toting, hate-filled white boy is going to show up and start spraying the place like he's playing a video game. 😎
  26. The number of legal gun owners and the amount of firearms they possess outnumbers the entire black population in America. 😎
  27. @Stefan, nor was I calling or implying that you were an extremist. My post was intended to be humorous.😎
  28. Doing what i do from time to time, I logged onto this board in order to skim through the subject matter, searching for anything that might have the potential to pique my interest. This thread snagged me, and left me rolling my eyes and shaking my head. Black men, during the course of a discussion, demanding civility and facts in the course of an exchange about politics. An oxymoron exercise, no less. And to add insult to injury attempts were made to defend what has become the party of Donald Trump, a seditionist who one poster elevated to the rank of a respectable president whose term in office benefited black folks - rather than enabled white racists. When it comes to policies and mission statements, people choose which ever political party they are most compatible with, and their party of choice commands their loyalty. The lines are drawn and the idea that we should tread lightly and politely around our opponents and give them the benefit of the doubt is the stuff of bull shit. I make no excuses about hating Republicans and I don't need any factual proof to assert that the Republican party provides a haven for racists. This is what is currently the case; from the top to the bottom, from the MAGAs to the Senators who court them in order to get their vote. Except for a paltry few, Republicans who don't support what the GOP has become have simply retreated into a spineless silence. Bottom line: the Republican party is a magnet for blatant white supremacists. It's obvious. Democrats aka Liberals, as bumbling as they may be, do at least attempt to be inclusive in their goal of lifting others as they climb. Right wing conservatives don't give a damn about anybody but themselves, falsely believing that they have achieved their wealth and status solely through the sweat of their brows. In their view, any black person who doesn't make it, simply hasn't pulled themselves up by their boot straps. blah, blah, blah. I am not a political activist nor a rabid Democrat. But I reserve the right to be repulsed by right wing conservative Republicans. I don't like them individually nor collectively. Hating them energizes me.
  29. Stop attributing statements to me that I never wrote and just denied writing; this is the behavior of a troll. So Trump was a poor President thanks Captain Obvious. You act like he was the first president not to care about Back people. You also act as if Trump represents all republicans…
  30. I hear you and this is symptomatic of the state we are in. Facts are argued. We know the employment stats do not count all not working people it was never asserted as such, but it is a metric. Again it is pointless to argue about the number being higher one period compared to the next, what you can debate hire it got that way and what it means. Really?! And how did you acquire that information? I suspect you made it up as it fits into your narrow world view. If you did not make it up, please share a source. Otherwise, I suggest you get out into the world and talk to a variety of different people. Republicans definitely do not hold a monopoly on causing harm to Black people. The fact I even have to say that tells me I’m wasting my time…. Your blind hatred of Republicans is clouding your reasoning.
  31. Seems to me....that he actually goes OUT OF HIS WAY to disagree with me sometimes.
  32. I got two messages from the universe from passing cars. The first was just relax. The second had the number 71 on its licensed plate. 71 in my time marker system means understand the communication. @Troy @Mel Hopkins @Cynique
