  1. Definitely possible. Regardless of age. Love and s8x are not inextricably linked especially for women. They can fall in love for non-s8xual reasons. Understood. There may not be enough wealthy black men for every wealthy Black woman. You're definitely entitled to your position especially since there's nothing you can do about it. I don't like beets. That's not gonna stop farmers norpeople from growing and consuming them. Hopefully they don't walk away thinking you're some crazy old dude yelling at clouds.
  2. Times change especially as people grow up in different environments. Black people who grow up in mixed environments are exposed to non-Black people. You're looking at it from a s8xual point of view. Attraction is based on several factors especially once people mature beyond s8xual desires. The f8cking is gonna happen if that's what two people decide to do. How they get there is based on some level of mutual attraction. Your perspectives are often based on a 40 year old looking glass. You're not lying based on VGQ. I do not recall it from the same perspective because I grew up in a chocolate city that had very few non-Black fokks in it. 40 years ago, my environment was very different from a place like NYC where all types of people are mixed together. Again, if there was any change at all, it would be 1) environment, 2) maturity level and 3) expectations. Younger folks have s8x for fun. As women get their older, there s8xual needs become tied to tangible benefits...money, status, security, power, etc.
  3. Those are examples of people voting their interests and beliefs instead of emotions and blind loyalty.
  4. Sold out is relative. The millions of people who support POTUS OJ is a sold out circus.
  5. I was thinking in terms of what we've seen over the past half-century or so. But you're right, religous movements fragmented Black folks further back. Same goes for organizations. Even if we cannot decide what's right and wrong the law will be a tie-breaker.
  6. Right. Regardless of admiration, validation or acceptance, IMO, marching to the beat of one's own drum is better than being a lemming or sheep. Thinking for self may not be admired but it's still better than the alternative.
  7. Aliens to adults is what Santa Claus is to children. So, adults are willing to waste a sh8t ton of money believing in aliens, paranormal activities and anything else of fantasy.
  8. As @richardmurray points out, Black folks are fractured into tribes. AfroAmericans have been sub-divided by several factors including class, status, orientation, religious beliefs, politics, etc Integration was the beginning of our sub-division. With over a half-century of counter-programming, it would take a herculean effort and movement to codify an AfroAmerican community capable of making America a more perfect union for us. There are no charismatic AfroAmerican leaders folks are willing to follow. Pulpit pimps don't count.
  9. Nothing should be expected. That won't stop them from wasting taxpayer money.
  10. That might happen less than 30 days under the new administration. Mandatory vaccines seem to have been relaxed already.
  11. The history of this country shows that it's not ready for a female POTUS. Considering the current state of affairs, a dude dressed like Mrs. Doubtfire could win against a more qualified woman.
  12. Maybe those women are finding white men attractive.
  13. The MAGA movement is real. POTUS OJ used his reality TV experience to create a prime time circus.
  14. So, we're not going to believe she met and fell in love with the man behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones. There's a 25 year age difference between Hobson (55) and Lucas (80). She doesn't have to worry about him pressing for s8x.
  15. Floyd Mayweather Jr. still has a perfect record. Money is the only reason they agree to these exhibition fights. Need the great white hype to sell the fight. An unknown or lesser known fighter won't suffice. Iron Mike is over 50 years old. Surely, he doesn't have anything to prove. Clearly, Iron Mike is willing to sacrifice his boxing legacy for a quick pay day. As a boxing fan, even I wouldn't watch those money-grab exhibitions.
  16. Do Good start. Whatever it means to your endeavors. The discussion isn't about me or where I live. It's not a white city either. Absolutely. The only way it's going to hapen is Black folks believing they can do it and trying to bring it to fruition. Black folks cannot *afford* to wallow in negativity or fear or resign ourselves to defeat and/or mediocrity.
  17. There are two things Berry Gordy and Bob Johnson have in common beyond selling their businesses...they built them. Instead of focusing on whatever they did wrong, it would be more productive to mirror whatever they did right. You're certainly not trying hard enough. Most businesses do fail. Folks with an entrepreneurial mindset keep getting back up, dusting themselves off and trying again. Last time I checked, this forum allows us to discuss Race, Culture and Economy. Therefore, I can sit in my armchair and engage in discussion and give my opinion on various topics. Surely, I could stop discussing Black issues and empowerment or stop posting on the forum all together. But, I won't because I've gotten comfortable here. Since I plan to stick around and continue calling balls and strikes and dropping my 2 pennies, you may want to consider ignoring my posts.
  18. Technically, illegal immigrants aren't allowed to vote. They weren't able to put POTUS OJ back in the White House. However, the Latinos who voted for POTUS OJ don't care about the mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Similar to Black folks who voted for POTUS OJ believing they are exempt from the system of racism white supremacy.
  19. https://apnews.com/article/trump-rfk-hhs-health-kennedy-f40ee2398e3a280c1586eecdd80bdf7c As expected, POTUS OJ has nominated RFK Jr. to be Secretary of Health and Human Services. It will be interesting to see how RFK Jr. goes after the industries that he believes are most harmful to human health. Believe the announcement of RFK Jr. as a nominee caused a drop in the pharmaceutical stock market.
  20. Hip-Hop music was profitable before it went mainstream. A combination of Black folks who understood the music business and investors could have built the infrastructure and subsequently an empire. Motown is the best example of the blueprint to building a Black record company. There were others too. It's a predominantly Black city. I do not. I didn't type that every Black person in NYC should move to ATL. Just those who seem to be struggling in the Big Apple. As usual, you don't care for my presentation. No. They should invest in things of interest to them. Black folks should own sports leagues. Not just teams. Money should change hands between Black folks 8-10 times before it leaves our community. Yes they did over 100 years ago. Black folks have made a lot a money since that time. I've already laid out the amount of money that Black folks spend in gross consumerism. Black folks cannot make excuses for what we don't have and they aren't willing to build it. A defeatist mentality definitely won't get us anywhere. The tenor of your posts and counter-arguments lead me to believe that you cannot or do not want to see it. I'm not in the business of holding a bucket of water for a horse to drink it. See my comments about consumerism. Yet, their still alive and waking up everyday. I wonder what motivates them to live such an existence. No. They need to find a way to be more productive. Despite his alleged extra curricular activities, he has enriched other Black folks too. Your questions are becoming intellectually dishonest. No need for me to move to ATL. Where I live is one of the most affluent Black populaces in the US. Even harder if one doesn't believe it can be done. Like a crime scene, nothing left to see here.
  21. Didn't take long at all. I've been using it for many years now.
  22. Interesting read. Way back in 1970, racist Senator Strom Thurmond convinced Black and Jewish leaders in NYC, Chicago and Detroit to vote against abolishing the electoral college. Seems like Democrats have been cutting their own throats in one way or another for 50+ years and counting. That doesn't stop people from jumping aboard that party train. GAP Band.
  23. Not at all. Everybody I know who's been to Mexico come back. They use it as a vacation destination. Not a place to establish residency. The US can afford to lose several million people to other countries. We wouldn't even notice if those states became vacated. Of course, Bernie Sanders would start yelling about his home state of Vermont.
  24. NYC is the birthplace of Hip-Hop culture. Black folks started it. Hip-Hop became a multi-billion dollar industry. No shortage of ancillary businesses grew out of it too. Imagine if black folks maintained ownership of Hip-Hop from its beginnings instead of letting non-Black folks own it. Maybe the black people in NYC should move to a city like Atlanta. The people in Green Bay Wisconsin own the football team. Cooperative. Maybe she's not interested enough in basketball to buy a team. Wealthy people buy things 1) of interest to them and/or 2) that make more money. Vertical integration. The system of moving money within one's own community several times over before it leaves. This is something that needs to be taught to young Black folks before they get herded into the mills of the system.
  25. Black people spend billions of dollars in gross consumerism. How do Black people get their money? Where do Black folks spend their money? The questions are rhetorical. We already know. Over several decades now, enough money has passed through the hands of Black folks to have invested in themselves i.e. institutions and economic infrastructure. Sure, it's easy to sit around grumbling and complaining about what another group of people won't allow us to do. But, it's another thing to take personal responsibility and accountability for not doing whatever it takes to help yourself and by extension tribe/community. This is where I place the blame on Black men. Clearly, we have not done enough to become powerful. We have not done whatever it takes to produce wealth. We have rich athletes and entertainers running around. They work for somebody else too. Black folks are not the majority owners of any sports leagues. Only a few Black folks own entertainment companies. Yet, Black folks generate billions of dollars for the owners of these industries. Now, imagine if Black folks took 10% of those gross earnings from entertainment and started productive Black-owned businesses, banks, hospitals, schools, etc. I know you get tired of reading when I type it but Jews are an excellent example of a once marginalized and persecuted group of people who turned their tragedy into triumph. Jews did receive reparations for the holocaust. They have been receiving billions of dollars annually for 3/4 of a century now. But, how do they spend their money? Same goes for Asians. They are showing up in Black communities and countries and leaving with a bag full of money. If Black folks stopped consuming from other groups of people, our wealth would increase exponentially. Black folks have generated a lot of money without a country of their own or enslaving and killing other folks or firing a single shot. Blacks folks need to stop being the ultimate consumers and start producing for themselves by any means necessary. I did not type that we have never tried. I know better than that. My point is that we should never stop trying.
