Dr. Cornel West POTUS Ballot Access 2024
ProfD Of course, people will accuse a Black political party of splitting the vote. Should we be overly concerned with what our "enemies" accuse us of? If your enemy doesn't oppose or slander your behavior...THAT'S when you really should be worried, lol. Politicians would have to come with tangible in order to get the vote Even more effective than that, WE PRODUCE THE POLITICIANS OURSELVES. We don't form a political party for the purposes of pleading our case to the CURRENT Democrat or Republican politicians with the hopes that they'll do something for us. Naw...we're beyond that. We produce OUR OWN politicians who will enact OUR OWN agenda from our Party's platform. They already know what time it is, so see don't have to plead any case to them. Former POTUS Orange Julius is the 1st indicted person who could end up back in the White House instead of prison. Unbelievable. And GUESS who you can thank for this? Obama and Biden Because BOTH of them were(are) in office during the time he committed the offenses and could have prosecuted him and kept him from running but instead decided to play politics and let him do his thing. If the shoe were on the other foot, do you think Trump would have hesitated to try to get Obama locked up????

Puffy. Combs. Arrested. ..
@Chevdove Well..... Perhaps this may NOT come as a surprise to ProfD but it may come as one to you, but my concerns about Puffy's "freak off" parties are NOT over any homosexual behavior that may have taken place at them. ....although those accusations ARE quite disappointing, that an icon like Puffy would sponsor such "sissified" behavior. Infact.....I REALLY don't like that he changed his name to "P Diddy"...which sounds weird and weak. One of the reasons I continue to call him Puffy...lol However, I'd only oppose: 1. Any sexual activity involving underaged people 2. Any non-consensual sexual activities like rape or drugging people. Other than that, as long as it's between consenting adults...I have no problems with it socially. I may not PERSONALLY engage in or enjoy certain behaviors that he probably had at his party, but I'd allow it. Although I do believe that there IS an agenda by the Racists to promote homosexuality and other forms of "non-reproductive" sex on the AfroAmerican community in order to lower our birth-rate, I still believe that some people are born pre-disposed to be homosexual or bisexual. Until we can actually "cure" them, I have decided to accept that some people are simply that way.

Hard-Hitting Insight on Why the World views Black Americans as the Dumbest People on Earth
@nels .....and I suppose you believe voting for a well known open racist like Donald Trump will make us look "smarter", huh????

BLACK. MAN. YOU. MUST. VOTE ,,Barack Obama .
ProfD If niggaz didn't "get it" last year....or the year before....I doubt that they'll "get it" before November.....lol. The older I get, the more I recognize PATTERNS among people. For the past 40 years or so....except for a brief moment in 2020.....many of our brothers have shown a PATTERN of complaining about their conditions but not being motivated enough to actually take corrective action and doing things that are effective in changing them for the better. For example..... They'll sit up and complain about being ignored politically and how they've been voting for the Democrats for so many years while getting nothing in return; but their "solution" to this problem is to DO NOTHING. Literally SIT ON THE COUCH. Or vote for Trump as if HE'D actually do something. When you tell them we need to form OUR OWN political party to push OUR OWN agenda....they'll agree. But when it's time to take action and have an actual meeting to discuss this, like the Last Poets said.....they'll tell you: "Ah nigga I was just jivin' You know I was bull shittin' How much you got on this hen-dog....let's roll to the store right quick"

Former POTUS Jimmy Carter Turns 100
This may be true. I'm just concerned about our brother anytime I don't hear from him for long periods of time. Even if he doesn't want to talk or hold a conversation, just letting the people know how he's doing would be satisfactory. Perhaps Mr.Bobby (aaaaalrighty....well...don't be a stranger) could give updates from time to time to let us know what's up.

The Immigration Pivot....Peep Game
They try to bring Africans and other Black people from the Diaspora onboard with their plan, but as much as THEY may agree to go along with it....it seems as if their CHILDREN and definitely the generations after that almost always end up hooking up with AfroAmerican culture. Even down to the fighting of and anger over racism and perceived slights. This is one of the reasons I don't care too much for Tariq Nasheed and many others going hard against the Africans and Caribbeans as much as he does. He correctly criticizes them in a lot of the fuck-shit they do, but it seems as if he's targeting and focusing on them far more than he does the Arabs or Latinos or Asians....who pose a MUCH bigger threat to our community.

A Real Perspective on what Liberals and Progressives really think about Black America
I find it interesting how Black Republicans and Black Trump supporters have not only DEMONIZED the word "Liberal" and "Progressive" but now almost always equate it with being White. You almost NEVER hear them criticizing White Conservatives....especially calling them out for their racism. I was in the mall not too long ago and two Black kids in their early teens were arguing and calling each other names, and one of them kept calling the other one "you liberal"..."with yo' liberal ass". We can pretty much GUESS who his Parent(s) support in this election....lol. Man, these devils have done a number on so many of our people.

Black. History. Lynchings ....
As I've gotten older, I'm beginning to wonder if that wasn't a SMART move after all. First of all I think it's HIGHLY possible that AfroAmericans could actually win a war against our oppressors, for reasons I won't get into. However, for the sake of discussion....let's say that hypothetically the ONLY options are oppression OR fighting back and losing. Just for discussion's sake. If you think about it........... 1. What good is "freedom" if you're dead and not around to enjoy it? 2. Yes, life under oppression COULD be worse than death....but in the United States after 1865....was and is life for AfroAmericans (drugs, lynchings, AIDS, and other forms of oppression) really WORSE than being killed outright? A lot of Black folks have it much worse in other parts of the planet. 3. Look at the Arabs and how many of them are willing to kill and die for what they believe. Yet what good is it doing them? And they are MORE numerous than the Israelis and other Westerners over in their land fighting them, yet it APPEARS (since I'm not over there I don't know what's REALLY going on) that they are losing in big numbers, currently. Just being brave and fighting and putting your life on the line for the sake of doing so or for some intangible (frankster...lol) virtue like "honor", how much is it really worth? I can see fighting if: 1. You have a reasonable and good chance of winning or 2. You face annihilation if you DON'T fight back But does scenario apply to Black America?

Degrees of Blackness?
I guess we shouldn't count one of the most famous murders in Hiphop history....Tupac Shakur? I guess that Eastcoast Westcoast beef had nothing to do with Rap music, huh???? I guess brutha Pac was just a victim of some "drug deal" gone bad, huh???? There is an entire LIST of rappers who have been killed because of rap beefs alone, let alone the non-famous people on the street who have been killed as a result of their influence.

Puffy. Combs. Arrested. ..
That's one of the reasons I find their attack against him so disgusting and suspicious. I believe they are going after him for 3 major reasons: 1. Revenge. He recently sued and WON a law suit against Diageo which is a multi-billion dollar liquor company and they are angry that he was able to use their own system against them. 2. What he represents. Which is not only Black wealth but FLASHY and FLAMBOYANT Black wealth. Most White people...especially White men...don't like it when Black men display that type of "in your face" attitude with their wealth. That's why Floyd Mayweather better watch out! 3. It's part of a greater plan to go after prominent and wealthy Black men IN GENERAL lately. When they went after Bill Cosby and nobody did anything about it, they saw that as an opening to go after more Black celebrities. By "they" I mean the racists in the criminal justice system. There are plenty of good NON-RACIST people in that system as well, but if they sit back and allow the racists to do their thing....then what????

Eric Adams
Man people are haaaaaaard on Eric Adams. Them strong FBA bruthaz and sistaz ain't feeling NO love for him.....lol. Well, I'm not sure why but I kind of feel for the brutha because he didn't bend ALL the way over. He did offer a LITTLE push back. Not as much as we'd like but.....still. I keep forgetting to post this but here's brutha Phil Scott's take on the Adam's indictment. It's a couple weeks old, but perhaps some people may find the video interesting. I gotta show Adams SOME love just for that strong ass New York dialect alone....lol. Puffy...Tyson...even Bugs Bunny ain't got nothing on Mayor Adams when it comes to sounding like a true New Yorker....LOL.

Diddy Denied Bail in RICO Case
I attribute this to 2 major factors: 1. Laziness Unlike the generations who grew up in Segregation and definitely unlike the generations during Reconstruction....the past several generations who grew up in so-called "Integration" grew up lazy. They didn't have to do anything for themselves because today White folks....and now other groups...run most of the businesses and take care of their needs from making food to making clothes to building housing. They don't have to MAKE a job for themselves like their great grand parents had to. All they have to do is go down to the shopping mall and fill out an application and wait on a phone call. If they get hired, just do enough to keep a job, get a pay check...and then run out and spend it in SOMEBODY ELSE'S establishment. 2. Sincere Naiveté Although we're starting to catch on NOW, most Black people sincerely believed in the "unity" of America and didn't realize how anti-Black and "only out for themselves" most of these immigrants were. We knew they HAD businesses and that we USED TO have businesses, but we didn't think much of it because we were so focused on White folks and keeping an eye on THEM that we didn't know how racist and anti-Black many of these immigrant groups were. We saw them as ALLIES while they saw us as COMPETITION and in many cases OBSTACLES in their way to get closer to White folks. Oh....but we're waking up NOW and waking up FAST.

Degrees of Blackness?
ProfD IMO, Rap music is being used as a scapegoat for violence in the Black community. That's like saying gats are a scapegoat for violence in America or in the world as people have been killing each other for thousands of years. While this is true, gats have INCREASED the violence many fold by making it that much easier for the killing to take place. Violence and beefs have existed in the AfroAmerican community since slavery....long before Rap music. However Rap music....specifically Gangsta Rap and Drill Rap...has GLORIFIED the self-hatred and violence and made it "cool" and attractive in a way that encourages more easily influenced youth to engage in it. It's not the ONLY factor obviously, but it's a major one.

Dr. Cornel West POTUS Ballot Access 2024
Like you said, we need more choices. We actually need to form our own political party as AfroAmericans....strictly for the interests of AfroAmericans (FBA/ADOS) We can and would work with other groups, but there would be no mistake that OUR interests would come first and would be of paramount importance. Ofcourse, the majority of our focus would be local....in major Black areas like Atlanta, Detroit, Chicago, Philly, etc...but atleast we'd have a political and social base that caters to our needs specifically.

How does a man retire from his Life's Mission? It would be good to atleast hear his voice briefly to see how he's doing.

BLACK. MAN. YOU. MUST. VOTE ,,Barack Obama .
As I've mentioned many times before, if Obama wanted ME (as a Black man) to vote....he should have encouraged his wife to run for office...lol. I usually take what Barry says with a grain of salt because he held down 2 terms with no scandals and made AfroAmericans look better in the eyes of the world...although he did little us for us. However I'm getting a little tired of him and others pointing the finger at Black American men and attempting to scold them for not voting when they don't go out of their way to give our people anything to vote FOR. Besides putting more AfroAmericans in office....which "looks" good on the surface....the Democrat Party as a whole hasn't really given any "goodies" to AfroAmericans since the 70s. Infact, as the Republicans like Reagan and others have taken away many of our tangible benefits, most Democrats have stood by idly and watched and played helpless. The Democratic Leadership won't even PATRONIZE or PANDER to Black men, even though we know it would be fake and they wouldn't deliver on most of what they say. But they won't even show us enough respect to even TELL us what we want to hear. Instead...more criticism. More of this....."grow up and be a man"....shit. More of this...."take some personal responsibility"....shit. More of this...."well if you don't vote then don't complain"....shit. Don't blame the Republicans, or the racist employers, or the racists in law enforcement, or so-called Liberals who are really hypocrites in disguise...put all of the blame on Black men when you lose an election. Right-wing Conservatives used to have a term for Liberals, calling them the "blame America first crowd". Looks to me the Democratic Leadership have adopted a policy called "blame Black men first".

Diddy Denied Bail in RICO Case
Troy One I disagree with the premise of your statement It wasn't a statement, it was a question: I asked...if most Koreans in the U.S. are racist, why should I expect Korea itself to be any different? Even if you DON'T believe that most Koreans in the U.S. are racists...if that is hypothetically true...why would you NOT expect most Koreans back in Korean to be the same? Most people would need strong evidence or proof to the contrary, to think otherwise. , and two clearly there would be differences between Koreans who left Korea for the United States and those so did not come, namely a desire to live with non-Koreans. Which would probably make them less racists. Not necessarily, because: 1. Their motivation COULD (and usually IS) economic, not cultural. They come to the U.S. to MAKE MORE MONEY here, not because they love Americans and want to live with and socialize with us. 2. And evidence of this is how most Koreans....when they do come to the United States...form their own little isolated communities where they live, work, and even go to church ONLY or MOSTLY with other Koreans. Most of them don't come here to "integrate" with Americans, but almost soley to take advantage of the economic opportunities here. Being forced to integrate and mix in with Americans...especially Black Americans....is often looked upon as a "necessary evil" by them in order to do business here. So you base your opinions on not the people living in the countries, you expose opinions on, but instead hearsay from people who don’t even live there. … OK It's not simply hearsay if it's based on people who HAVE lived there and were BORN AND RAISED there. Is it your position that a person shouldn't have any sort of opinion on the social climate of a nation unless they pack up and MOVE there first to study the behavior and attitudes of the people first hand? Perhaps we shouldn't have an opinion about how dangerous it is in the Ukraine or in Gaza UNTIL we pack up and move over there FIRST....and when we make it back...we can talk about it? 😉

Degrees of Blackness?
Despite so many young rappers.... "lil this" and "young that"...being killed lately over rap battles and beefs, you still need a "study" to determine this? Since you're not sure if rap music causes violence, how about I let an intelligent and degreed Black man whom I respect and I'm sure you do too as you probably already know who he is and probably even MET him a few times in New York -give his opinion on the matter....especially at the 57 minute mark: Our brother Reverend Conrad Tillard...formerly known as Conrad Muhammad the "Hiphop Minister" out of New York, certainly believes that certain forms of Rap is responsible for the deaths and incarceration of a lot of our brothers.

Eric Adams
Or how can Donald Trump...who was not only charged but CONVINTED of multiple felonies not only AVOID jail, detention, or house arrest and get's to fly all over the country giving speeches and meeting with people; but even gets his sentencing dates and OTHER criminal trials constantly pushed back until AFTER the Election. They OPENLY stated that the trials and sentencing will be pushed back until AFTER the election which all but admits that this is politically motivated. The persecution prosecution of Eric Adams and the favoritism of Donald Trump is happening under a DEMOCRAT Administration. And they wonder why so many people aren't motivated enough to get off the couch and support Democrat candidates. Support them FOR WHAT????

From a Black Perspective: Why Does Black America Keep Voting for its own Self Destruction?
@Chevdove Welcome back sis.....it's been a while since we've heard (read...lol) from you. So given your stance on a matriarchal society, let me ask you this..... How do you feel about Kamala Harris or any woman becoming President of the U.S.?

Black. People. And. The. Bible.
There is NO SUCH THING as "voluntary enslavement".....it's an oxymoron. All of those analogies and scriptures you're posting are irrelevant, mah man. Your beloved Bible both condones and supports slavery. I've shown it with crystal clarity and anyone with good sense and with good faith will admit to that. The "debate" ended weeks ago.

Dr. Cornel West POTUS Ballot Access 2024
I love our brother West, but he....like RFK...needs to keep his ass off the ballot when he KNOWS he can't win. At this point, we don't need people running just to "make a point". RFK wants to get on the ballot in mostly Democrat places like New York where he figures he could split the Democratic vote with Kamala, weaken her, and help Trump win the state. West is doing the Bernie Sanders thing and running simply to "bring attention" to certain issues that the mainstream parties won't address. They aren't going to address them anyway, so he's wasting his time and energy and a lot of money AND confusing some of the people. It's basically boiling down to the lesser of two evils. If you don't want Trump to win...stop dividing and splitting the Democratic vote. I've said it before and I'll continue to say that I think the Democrats *over all should have really tried harder to convince Michelle Obama to run because she would have had a MUCH better chance of galvanizing the AfroAmerican vote and CLEARLY would have beat Trump. People like and trust her far more than they do Kamala. I'm neither a Democrat nor a Republican but if she would have ran, I would have not only voted for her but I would have gotten out and advocated for her Presidency! *When I say "over all" I mean both the Democratic leadership as well as the grass-roots base and voters. The entire party and it's affiliates.

The Immigration Pivot....Peep Game
If you pay close attention to Trump and the Republican rhetoric on immigration......you'll notice that they're starting to focus their aim and target BLACK immigrants like Haitians. At first it was ALL illegal immigrants. Then the focus was on Venezuelan immigrants. Now they are focusing their sights on Haitian immigrants and not distinguishing between the legal ones OR illegal ones. If you also notice...... Through out the years when Trump promised to deport millions of illegal immigrants, he didn't identify any nationality. He simply said "illegals" and left it at that. When asked for specifics on how he'd do it....he wouldn't give an answer. He'd be very vague and go off on tangents about crime and the policies of the Biden Administration but would be careful not to give ANY detail of exactly how he'd deport tens of millions of illegal people in this nation and by what process he'd do so. But THIS year as we head toward the election, he starts NAME DROPPING. He talks directly about the Haitians and what they're accused of doing. He says directly that the Haitians in specific have gotta go. And he gets specific about what he'd do to them if he takes office. I don't recall him even doing that with the Venezuelans he loves loved to talk about so much. I hope everybody else can see the game plan going on here. The plan is NOT to deport the millions of non-Black immigrants out of this nation, because they BROUGHT them here in the first place. The plan...by the Establishment...is to REPLACE much of the AfroAmerican population WITH those non-Black immigrants and establish buffer classes with them politically, economically, and socially.

Marcus Garvey: Join Me on for a Discussion on His Legacy
The closest we've had in this nation so far would be Elijah Muhammad and the Nation of Islam under his leadership. I don't believe that his official following was as large as Garvey's at one time, but his leadership was longer lasting....spanning decades...and the effects were longer lasting.
