  1. .....said the immortal Tony Montana, lol. Just dropped by to see how everyone's doing and let you know I'm still kicking. Been busy working over 60 hours a week and looking at various investment strategies trying to figure out a way to get myself out of poverty. I see there's still a lot of crypto-currency talk going on in these threads lately. When I have time I'm going to have to read a little more deeply into them. If I have time I'll post a few comments today, but in the mean time.....peace family!
  2. I'll be brief. As a generalization: The (Far) Left | historically not Democrats - Political groups who support liberal or socialist policies and the attainment of big government and asset sharing and equality by any means necessary. The (Far) Right | historically not Republicans - Political groups who support conservative or nationalist policies and the attainment of limited government, individualism and national sovereignty by any means available. The (Center) Left and (Center) Right - Political groups who support reasonable compromise to promote and achieve goals that are in the best interest of all of the nation's citizens, sans full consensus. The (True) Right and (True) Left - Political groups who do not support the ultra-polarization of the nation through extremist views that undermine national sovereignty and a level playing field for all legal citizens. At the moment, black America seems too fragmented and dispersed into factions that have competing interests that do not serve the ultimate vision and goals of the black community, as a whole.

  4. Dream Detroit Skating Academy , if you or someone you know lives in detroit, knows someone who loves ice skating, please share https://aalbc.com/tc/profile/6477-richardmurray/?status=1814&type=status
  5. @Mzuri I see. I hope you have a pedal powered cycle, get a three wheel , you can get two wheels in the front or back, that will help your back stay strong. and you don't have to worry about falling with a three wheel and ... you can do similar tricks with the wheels like on the roller derby after a little practice
  6. Yep. On the other side of 50 years old, there's a lot to leave to younger folks. Had fun skating several decades ago. I'm fine behind the wheel of my truck now.😁 I'm glad that skating academy exists. Whatever it takes for folks to get exercise and burn energy in a positive way is a great thing.😎
  7. @Pioneer1, glad you decided to check in my brotha. Also, great news that you're back on the grind and figuring out your next moves. There's A LOT for you to read and catch up on around here. Plenty discussions that could benefit from your opinion/perspective. 😁 Hope time allows you to jump back in that chair and let it fly sooner than later. In the words of NF jr...still learning.😎
  8. @Mzuri conditioning is the key, athletes play in thier 30s , near 40s some after 40s all based on conditioning, not age, find the time and slowly build yourself up and you can do those moves, it takes time, it takes time, but you can get there...now you may have to take time off your crypto analysis so:) ... get out there and dance on the roller skates in terms of rollerskating, I like skateboarding plus roller derby. IN NYC many rollerskating rinks exists and I have been to a few, but that dancing on rollerskates or congenial activity on rollerskates never clicked for me

  10. ************************************************************************************ There are other forms of government issued identification besides a driver's license. Here in Texas you can get a regular picture I.D. from the DPS, it costs $16.00. I'm sure that other states offer regular I.D.s as well. There's also military I.D., passports, and various certificates that might have your picture on them. I have four forms of picture I.D. so I don't have any sympathy for a person that can't even obtain one. People need to stop making excuses about everything. ************************************************************************************
  11. @nels in your opinion when was black america not mostly fragmented, post war between the states? pre war between the states doesn't count cause most black people were enslaved to someone white. so even though a sameness existed it was in total impotency
  12. According to a survey conducted by the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law, as many as 11 percent of US citizens — and as many as 25 percent of African American citizens — don’t have government-issued photo ID.⁵ “The first thing I would want crypto to fix would be identity,” says Robert Greenfield, Head of Social Impact at ConsenSys. “A digital identity has more of a major impact than you can even fathom. If you don’t have a driver’s license, you can’t even participate in humanitarian aid programs.” This was a statement in the first article. I don’t believe it is accurate and draws inaccurate conclusions.
  13. @nels the most blunt insensitive or unhopeful answer to your question is no. Black America is a community, of at least tens of millions, made up of many tribes. It has no central organization. All those factors means it is not prepared to do anything.
  14. I tend to agree. From my viewpoint though, it's the general manager role that is the real power nexus between the player level and executive leadership. Remember, a coach stands on the sideline, but general managers sit in the skybox.
  15. That's not hate, that's ridicule; your stock and trade. My blood pressure is well under control, thank you. 😁
  16. Maybe it's the equivalent of the Pet Rock
  17. @Mzuri Here is my second one https://opensea.io/assets/0x495f947276749ce646f68ac8c248420045cb7b5e/46223523598365333350210505486367128690609370038850234427737026813823524274177/ I hope to build up my waitlist then start offering it to sell.

  20. On Passive income: “If it were easy everyone would be doing it.” On Active Income: ”Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life.” Clichés yes, but I believe then to be true.
  21. ************************************************************************************ @ProfD Not really. Having to get a job is a mindset, like being in poverty. Earning passive income is also a mindset, and can be easily achieved. Especially now when people can earn income by using the internet to setup websites or self-publishing books and a hundred other ways. Obviously there is some initial work involved, but passive income is not that difficult. ************************************************************************************
