  1. Correction: Beth or more correctly BET = House (example = Beta Israel is House of Israel) BAB/BOB = door/gate (example = Babel is Gate of El) Troy and Chev First of all the Bible calls it a STAR....not a planet (Saturn is a planet regardless of how it "looks"). So is the Bible incorrect in calling this planet Saturn a "star" or are those who call that star "Saturn" the ones who are incorrect? Both can't be right. Secondly..... Are you telling me that you believe a literal planet (or star) way out in space came down to Earth close enough for the Magicians to see it, lead them to a particular spot, and then STAND OVER the spot as it says in the book? This sounds more like the typical UFO than any star or planet.
  2. Lol....and how would you even KNOW that a man was in love with me unless YOU were da' man????
  3. Troy Lol @ the way Cynique kept saying "you guys" and snapping on YOU TOO even though you didn't even say anything......LOL. She just tossed you in the pile with me....COMRAD. But yeah, AfroAmerican women actually WILL "get down" and THROW DOWN with eachother! They just have a code not to do it with eachother when a BLACK MAN is around because many of them have been trained to see the Black man as their enemy or the one they should stick together to challenge. If this was a typical female site with a female moderator there would be beefs and fights left and right that would make the fights between Cynique and Sara look like choir practice....lol. Cynique and just for the record i like Del a hell of lot more than i do you I didn't say you didn't LIKE Del or that you LIKED me more than him. Those weren't my words.....lol. I said you weren't ATTRACTED to him like you are to us for the simple fact that he doesn't give off masculine energy vibes. There's nothing wrong with him being like that; he's just more observatory or neutral......like warm water or kool aid with no sugar. Some people's gender or sexual identity is mild while others is so strong it "burns" through even online. Troy doesn't have to post the fact that he's a man or show his picture, the way he writes and how he puts his words together is clearly masculine. Chevdove on the other hand is the complete opposite and doesn't have to show her picture for you to know she's a woman. Now just picture some big muscle bound DUDE calling himself a "dove" and chatting away about how he took some cold medicine, put on some pajamas and went to sleep....LOL. .....infact, one of the reasons I "lol" so much in my posts is to take some of the masculine "edge" off in my delivery. If I didn't "lol" as much as I did.....my strong opinions and statements would seem much harsher than they probably already do.
  4. Many people aren't going to like what I'm about to say. Infact I can predict the reactions of a couple. Troy probably doesn't care one way or the other but something tells me Chevdove (one of the two people I STILL get along with here....lol) will NOT like this. But I support the right of women to choose whether or not to have an abortion. Although I consider it KILLING...I don't consider it MURDER. Murder is the unlawful or unjustified taking of a life, but if you are broke and can't take care of yourself in my opinion you have no busines bringing more lives into this world. Many of our people use the excuse that "God will make a way for them somehow" but a lot of the times it's just an excuse to be lazy and irresponsible for their behavior. Can God make a way for them and anyone? Absolutely! The Supreme Being can do ANYTHING for ANYONE. The issue is WE aren't the Supreme Being and because of this we DON'T KNOW what The Supreme Being will do so unless you get a guarantee directly FROM The Supreme Being that the children you have will be raised properly and taken care of - you should use the common sense The Supreme Being gave you to plan your life and family in the best possible manner. Some people should just NOT HAVE CHILDREN.....plain and simple. Many children are unwanted and they KNOW they aren't wanted by their parents and society and wish they had never been brought into existence. Many of these children go on to raise hell, destroy the society that has rejected them, and eventually self destruct through a life of crime and drug abuse or directly through suicide. Not all.....but too many. I've mentioned this before that I prefer QUALITY over QUANTITY and I believe Black people should focus on improving our intelligence and morality as a way of improving our selves and our communities instead of just having baby after baby after baby with no means or plans or even knowledge of how to properly raise these children and turn them into productive members of OUR society.
  5. I've been to Soul Food places in Detroit and Atlanta WHERE I USED TO LIVE (...lol) and there were a few decent ones, but most of them I went to these past 10 years or so were as I described. I have to admit I haven't been to any actual Soul Food places in New York. The only "Black" restaurants I've been to in New York were Caribbean places that served jerk chicken or beef patties.....lol.
  6. You can SEARCH whatever you like (well....almost whatever) but you can't really SAY whatever you like. You have to actually long onto a forum (like this one) and in most cases register with an account like Twitter to either speak your mind or post an ad or notification. I don't know of any place on the web that is totally regulated where anyone can get up and rant all day saying whatever the like a public park or the old fashioned public squares. That would be TRUE freedom of speech.
  7. ---RANT ALERT-- This is going to be a long one....lol I think the author is right to lament the lack of Black economic and social unity in the community but I think he may be a little misguided in where he's placing the blame or what the problem is. Many will not like what I'm about to say but this again goes back to the same explaination I had for why so many Black magazines and book stores have gone out of business. For the past 50 years or so the intellect of AfroAmerica has declined dramatically. In other words, for the past 50 years or so AfroAmericans have gotten dumber and haven't functioned on a "community" level like most other groups because of this intellectual decline. Because of this intellectual decline they aren't opening up REAL businesses (4 walled establishments) as much as they used to, and those they DO open up aren't being properly operated or maintained. The intellectual decline has lead to laziness, apathy, poor sanitary conditions, poor customer service skills, not keeping up with the paper work, and many other problems. Let's just take the Black barbershop for example................. Go into most Black barbershops today and many of these young brothers aren't even practicing the basic cleanliness and customer service skills that older Black barbers were practicing for decades before them with less education. Infact, most don't even say hello or good morning to you when you walk in. They just stare at you to let you know you're next to get faded. You sit in the chair and without even giving you eye contact ---"Ahiight....whachoo need mayne?" Starting off hard and indifferent. These young clowns are using the SAME BRUSH on everybody's head and ain't even using those ultraviolet sterilizing lights or alcohol to sanitize the tools they're using! Just spreading germs from one person to the next. And if it's 2 or 3 of them cutting, they're smelling like weed and having a conversation with EACHOTHER about bullshit....not with the customer in the chair they're cutting. They have their boys and lady friends hanging out at the shop taking up space and doing nothing but instigating and gossiping and taking more of their attention away from their work and their customers. And unlike the old barbershops where men had intelligent discussions with a little jazz playing in the background......today if you don't know anyone in that shop you better keep your mouth shut! Not the type of environment you want to take your little sons to. And after all of that they want to charge you $20 for a half ass cut and then EXPECT and in some cases DEMAND a tip! And don't get me started on the soul food joints today. Where are the sit down Soul Food restaurants today? Most of them are places where you go up to the counter, ordrer the food, get it...and take your ass back home. ".....because WE ain't going to wait on you or clean up being you or serve you drinks and napkins." Evn the person behind the counter looks like she or he really don't want to be there but just "got a job" because their cousin or nephew who owns the business hooked them up. Now clearly this isn't the case with all AfroAmerican businesses, but what I just describe is indeed the reality for too many. Our people need help. Intellectual help.
  8. Facebook and Twitter are private institutions and have a right to accept and reject whoever they like on their platform. However the PROBLEM is......... They sell themselves as "public" forums which confuses people and gives them the false impression that they have the right to say what they please. This has been happening in real life for years even before the internet. For the past 50 years or so in the United States there has been a big campaign to eliminate public spaces and privatize them. You see it as PUBLIC parks and libraries are being replaced by PRIVATE shopping malls and book stores. Unlike the old days where you used to be able to sit down and relax in the public park all day long even if you were broke or stand up in the public square and speak your mind, now you have to BUY something or leave and risk being kicked out and banned if you solicit or say something the establishment doesn't agree with. Perhaps we need a "public" Facebook where there's no one in charge and you can REALLY say whatever you feel like and post what you like as long as it's not calling for the harm of anyone.
  9. Troy I keep telling yall that she doesn't WANT me to leave, lol. I told you months (probably a couple years) ago that Cynique has mixed feelings for me that fluxuate back and forth between jealousy and attraction. - Jealous that I may get more attention from you than she does because she enjoys the attention of saying what's on her mind - And attracted to me (and you too...as well as Xeon and Nubian Fellow -but not Del....lol) based on the natural feminine desire for masculine energy. Infact, based on my observations I'd say the order for her attraction goes like this. 1. Troy 2. Xeon/ Pioneer1 (for different reasons) 3. Nubian Fellow For some reason I thought she'd be more attracted to Kalexander but she doesn't seem to care too much for him based on what I've noticed between those two.
  10. Listen, what's wrong with you? Why you gotta act all ghetto and savage in Mel's' thread? Now here we all are having an intelligent conversation about AfroAmerican culture and YOU had to ruin it.....lol. Get your emotions together. Anyway...... That delicious food made with cornbread is called DRESSING instead of STUFFING is another part of AfroAmerican culture that it especially brought to my attention around the holidays. And when I was a kid almost every Black family I knew around the entire city and even down South put GIZZARDS in their dressing.
  11. I also heard he was one baaaaad mutha--watch yo mouth!!
  12. Chev Ok, I'll concede on the Great Wall's date of construction. My original point about it was that it was built to keep wild Caucasian tribes from Central Asia out of their land. Whether it was 2000 B.C. or 200 B.C. the purpose remained the same. The dates of the pyramids are way before the 'Jews' became captive in Egypt! Black people watch too much TV. It's not just the television, the Bible ALSO claims that the Children of Israel built the cities of ancient Egypt when historical records show that's not true. it is important to understand how other civilizations date history as well in order to confirm facts. Maybe I didn't make my question clear. I know how planets and starts show a pattern of aligning with eachother. And ofcourse most ancient civilizations had their OWN CALENDARS in which to record events or recall them. Others used starts and planetary alignments as you mentioned to do it also. And yet others used both. My question more specifically is how are the dates from WESTERN CALENDARS for these ancient events like those claimed in the Bible confirmed and verified through the solar system? Also, my question remains how does the solar system and planetary alignment CONFIRM and VERIFY that an event actually took place? In other words..... If you said Jesus walked on water, how can I look up at the starts and confirm this or when it took place? If you said there was a major flood over the Earth and Noah and his family were saved, where in the sky can I look up at and verify this? Do you understand what I'm asking? This planet SATURN is called THE STAR OF BETHLEHEM ????? Who calls it that? According to the Bible the star of Bethlehem that the wisemen followed to let them know where Jesus was actually MOVED. It moved across the sky and then stood still....planets don't do that.
  13. Why THANK YOU dear! And I will BE SURE to recommend that this bit of knowledge you're sharing with us be included in the revised edition of:
  14. A guy who ADMITS he lives in a "different world" shouldn't mention split personalities, lol.
  15. Chev I am again repeating this statement that you are not understanding; THE SOLAR SYSTEM! The Solar System is one of many other methods used by ancient civilizations to record historical events and confirm. Dates and times can be confirmed through methodology. My 'assertions' are based on confirmations. You're right, I'm not understanding it. Since I'm not the smartest person in the world can you explain to me as best you can how the solar system is used to accurately verify or identify the time of an event? My relative has been to see the Great Wall of China first hand, and has verified this event with the people over there. But even still, this historical event can be confirmed in so many other ways. What event? We both agree that the Great Wall of China exists, the dispute is over WHEN it was built. Now what event took place that identifies the date it was built? What!? 1500 years ago would be AD 500. No one says this! I'm sorry I meant to write 1500 years B.C., the alleged time of Moses and the Exodus. But people were saying for centuries that it was these Jewish slaves in Egypt who built the pyramids until records and archeological evidence proved otherwise.
  16. Why don't you "behold" on to deez afro-centric nu -never mind....lol.
  17. .....yeah, and I'm the one who "prodded" your memory.
  18. Oh! I know you're a little "special"....so let me slowly explain.............. Both you and Del were INSINUATING (without being brave enough to come right out and say it) in the other thread that "Latinos" in New York are just as responsible for the invention/creation of Hiphop as the AfroAmericans. I believe you two were WRONG about this. Clearly Puerto Ricans (and Dominicans?) were PARTICIPATING in Hiphop during it's embryonic stage but that doesn't mean they came up with the idea. Where is the Latino version of Kool Herc? No matter how far back you go, the idea had to originate with SOMEONE and I maintain that that "someone" was an English speaking AfroAmerican. However my point for naming those countries is.... Even if we were to entertain your INSINUATION that "Latinos" either came up with the idea of Hiphop or deserve just as much credit: 1.Most Latinos involved in early Hiphop were Puerto Ricans of African descent. 2. And since Latino nations like Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Haiti are also part of the American hemisphere ....technically speaking most of those Puerto Ricans were AfroAmerican who just practiced a Latin culture. Which means the founders of Hiphop were STILL AfroAmerican.
  19. See that's why you didn't know Mexico and Haiti were part of America! Instead of paying attention, you were probably nodding off and sleeping in your Social Studies class back in Highschool like you're doing now...lol. WAKE UP! And STAY WOKE!
  20. After pondering the argument and upon further research I now realize I was indeed wrong. I now realize that the phonograph in it's entirety wasn't the turn table but that the "turn table" was an earlier name of the COMPONENT of the phonograph that actually spins the record. Although I knew the turn tables DJ's use was based on this and was a highly modified form of it, I didn't know it was actually called this BEFORE the Hiphop era. However I still believe that Break Dancing and MC'ing (as we know it in Hiphop) was born from AfroAmerican youth. But as it "turns" out.....lol....the turn table as it is named was clearly in existence.
  21. Del You may be projecting. Mel thinks you are several people perhaps she is correct. Is this the same Mel who thinks you and her are TWINS????? Unless you have a long lost twin sister, I wouldn't put too much faith in her diagnosis....LOL. Mel which makes me think that Pioneer is actually a 30-something woman! LOL.....WOMAN IS YOU CRAZY???????? I wish I had the number to some of your people and I'd call them and tell them to come and check on you, make sure you're alright....lol. Troy What's up with your people? One of them thinks I'm a gay White mason.... Another thinks I'm a 30 year old woman.... ....ofcourse you haven't met me so YOU can't dispute any of these assertions outright, but I can't be ALL of them....lol.
