  1. As Dr. Umar Johnson brilliantly articulated in the video you posted in the other thread, as long as Black politicians are funded by one of the political parties...they have to tow the line and fulfill the party agenda. As soon as a Black politician tries to go rogue, they will be booted out of that party seat.
  2. Fixed it. The whole interview with Dr. Johnson is a masterclass. Charlemagne needs to learn how to shut up when a real intellectual God is speaking.
  3. Black politicians do not have the power nor responsibility to fix the self-inflicted ills of AfroAmericans. Politicians can introduce policy and legislation to help those in need and make laws. Otherwise, cleaning up greed, corruption and violence among any group of people is a social problem.
  4. Depression and mental health in general is an issue that America refuses to deal with seriously. Mainly because there's less money in the cure for ills than maintenance of them. A huge part of capitalism is built on the misfortune of people. Society can do better than making money that way. I hope that Irene Cara wasn't driven to take her own life but her soul is free and no longer bound to this realm.
  5. Very few strong and righteous Black men are willing to give up living their best lives in order to corral and discipline dysfunctional n8gglets. It's a tall order to impose on someone else to lead especially when n8gglets are being dragged up instead of raised by parents who may be dysfunctional themselves repeating a cycle. There is strength in numbers. It's definitely going to take a coalition of AfroAmerican men to make it work. Not that it has to be led by a religious figure but I still contend that the AfroAmerican community needa a sustainable Million Man March to Jumpstart codification and enforcement of our agenda in all areas of human activity.
  6. @Pioneer1, you're giving White folks way too much credit. For centuries, White folks have been stealing ideas and pillaging resources and killing other folks in order to advance their society. No spirituality required. Just a willingness to kill without batting an eyelash. "Simple ain't it...but quite clever"...Rakim.
  7. As I just wrote in another thread regarding AfroAmericans moving beyond passivity and spirituality towards a willingness to fight and die for real freedom, nations like Haiti are examples of why Black folks all over the planet aren't willing to do it. Every Black nation that is independent and/or fought for it has been reduced to 3rd world status under the system of racism white supremacy. Those nations are relatively poor and overrun by greed, corruption and violence. Religion is the opiate utilized to keep them oppressed.
  8. Actually, racists have access to the same information as the government because they either work for it and/or through back channels. H8ll, it's not that hard for the Chinese to get our information. AfroAmericans will always be compromised as long as our position on the chessboard is weak. We have to be willing to fight and die for real freedom. Until AfroAmericans move beyond passivity and believing spirituality will solve our problems, we are sitting ducks in this dispensation.
  9. 60 years ago, the Honorable Malcolm X explained everything AfroAmericans are still dealing with today. Malcolm X told us it was not a good idea to allow others into our business. If AfroAmericans collated and codified everything Hon. Malcolm X spoke into the form of a Bible...we could eliminate confusion and teach future generations how to love each other and live more abundantly. Ultimately, AfroAmerican unity would be the cornerstone of destroying the system of racism white supremacy. The trick of the enemy is to relying on the passage of time to wash away AfroAmerican history and any formation or semblance of unity among our people.
  10. In a high technology world, there's less anonymity. Big Brother has been watching folks for a long time now. Folks showing their faces on a screen makes it easier to identify them but ISPs, cell phones, cable boxes, navigation, web browsers, etc., have been keeping track of folks for many years now. A Brady Bunch style of communication is cool for office meetings but pointless in online discussion.
  11. Art does not require historical accuracy and/or authenticity unless it is being created to educate. Otherwise, art as entertainment can be anything conjured up by the artist's imagination and creativity. That's why people enjoy different types of artwork and various genres of film and music. Sometimes, art provides an escape from reality and allows folks to fantasize, cheer or live vicariously through characters.
  12. Interesting how the Zoom model of communication is spreading since the pandemic. IMO, the current model of the discussion forum works just fine. Folks can pop in and out of the conversations at their leisure. Also, there's no need to get dressed up or groomed before lights, camera, action.
  13. I'm a huge proponent that we need to close ranks and recalibrate as an AfroAmerican family before we can form alliances with other groups of people. In fact, I believe AfroAmericans have been encouraged to work with others in order to keep us infiltrated and divided. Many decades ago, that's why Jewish businesses thrived in black neighborhoods before Asians showed up.
  14. All of the friends who went to Mexico with Shanquella Robinson should be arrested and thrown in jail. Somebody will start talking and spilling the beans when that potential penitentiary press cranks up.
  15. https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/12/herschel-walker-georgia-black-americans/672373/ Here's an excellent article on the joke of Herschel mumble-mouth Walker's candidacy.
  16. Yep. It's about time Sen. Kyrsten Sinema came out of the closet. Claims she still plans to caucus with Democrats. We'll see. Now, I'm waiting for Sen. Joe Manchin to do the same thing. He's usually riding with Sinema as a roadblock. I think they're Republicans in Democrat clothing. Sen. Bernie Sanders and Sen. Angus King are Independent but you'd never know it from how they roll.
  17. I was responding to Chevdove's initial post. But, NYers would know better than I do.
  18. Of course, some folks are questioning why sista Brittney Griner was freed before former Marine Paul Whelan. Nevermind that Griner was convicted of carrying a vape cartridge. Whelan was convicted of espionage.
  19. Irene Cara incurred the wrath of music business and was blacklisted when she fought for her royalties. The term Nuyorican has been around for a couple decades now. But, it's hardly used outside metro New York.
  20. America is home for those of us descended from enslaved people who've been here for several hundred years.
  21. Public servants have to be qualified beyond merely voting the *right* way. Most of them have a solid educational background too.
  22. That is the dilemma for Black folks all over the planet. As long as a few people are willing to be sellouts, it's easier to oppress the masses. The system of racism white supremacy is built on it.
  23. Since 1804, the grand prize for the Haitian revolution has been indebtedness in perpetuity to France.
  24. That was common during slavery. It's one form of the PTSD that plagues AfroAmericans so easily committing acts of violence against each other
  25. I do not see and/or hear intelligence in neither mumble-mouth Walker nor B8tch McConnell. Regardless of the political party one chooses to represent, the 1st prerequisite I look for in a potential candidate is intellect. The limited supply of intelligence and/or lack of application among our political leadership and the populace is part of the reason our country remains divided. i cannot be micro-manipulated. I call balls and strikes as I see them through a non-partisan lens.
