So ironic it almost sounded like a joke but..... I read a few years back where a Republican Congressman actually wanted to bring Obama up on charges because he DIDN'T go after Trump! He was a Trump supporter but he said that if Obama had so much evidence that Trump was colluding and conspiring with Russia to tamper with the 2016 election then it was his DUTY to launch an investigation and prosecute those involved and the fact that he DIDN'T do it was a dereliction of duty! I actually felt that way myself and a lot Obama supporters (which I'm not) felt that way. If the shoes were on the other feet we know the Republicans would have launched all types of investigations to get Obama and the Democratic leadership locked up. Obama had the evidence and simply chose not to go after Trump and let him dance his way into the Whitehouse. It reminds me of when I was a kid where some bullies actually hurt their victims more for ALLOWING themselves to be bullied.

What would you say is the fundamental basis of reality

Delano WHICH Reality? -
Piggy Backing off of @frankster's Conspiracy Theory thread....... I have a confession to make. I actually DID want to see a Zombie Apocalypse as a result off those vaccines. Or some sort off Global incident similar to it. Why? Because like a lot of people, I want to be right/correct and be assured that my judgement is sound. Like frankster and many others, I DO NOT trust those vaccines nor do I trust a lot of other things being pushed on society and think that they cause more harm than good. But without clear evidence and concrete proof, it's hard to convince others to have that same mistrust and in some cases even convince MYSELF that my position is sound and correct. So the entire planet was hit with a global pandemic out of nowhere. Then they come up with shot to give most of the human population. It's been about 4 and almost 5 years later and no Zombie Apocalypse yet and although there's been a lot of hearsay about people dropping dead and having complications as a result of the vaccine....most of the society SEEMS to be living as they did prior to the Pandemic. So what am I...we...to make of this? Especially those of us who believe in Conspiracies? This hasn't changed my mind that Conspiracies exist, but it's a bit disappointing because it doesn't offer a powerful enough incentive for the masses to mistrust the propaganda they're being given. Even if it is harmful, if people are taking the shots and aren't turning into Zombies or dropping dead in mass numbers then most people aren't going to make the connection between the two. And even if they agree that they are harmful, they'll be willing to weigh their options and take a chance on them because they figure the consequences aren't nearly as severe as the "Conspiracy Theorists" make things out to be. I guess this is the reason behind what some Conspiracy Theorists call the "frog in the slow boiling pot strategy". If the Conspiracy was too obvious or too devastating, it wouldn't work as effectively because the masses wouldn't fall for it.

Troy I think we're going to be just fine. Remember just a few years back when people thought the world was literally coming to an end because of Covid. Now, the word is barely mentioned. Despite so many people having lost loved ones to it and so many still dealing with complications from it, you barely hear about it in society. Humanity has a way of adapting.

You two are simply disagreeing for the sake of being disagreeable....lol. Everybody knows that Black people are the originators and innovators of most music genres and most forms of entertainment PERIOD, in the United States. Even most White folks recognize this. If it were high noon and I said the sky was blue.....yall would wait until night time just to disagree with me.

Race: Cambridge Dictionary Definition
Pioneer1 replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
frankster Without the name of the particular gene my answer remains as I stated above: The material said: There are different types of genes for each different feature. Well since there is no feature that is exclusive to any race and not found in the other. It is safe to say that all races....especially Africans share in all genes I have seen europeans with African Features and Africans with european features....same gene pool some being expressed more or less I repeat: Show me where I made the claim that no other human has a particular gene that one has! Genes also come in different forms, which are known as alleles. For us, alleles of certain genes will come in pairs, with one on each chromosome. If the alleles of a specific gene are the same then the organism will be referred to as homozygous, if they are different, then it is referred to as heterozygous. The phenotype is determined by how the alleles are combined. Blue eyes might be the result of one allele, whereas brown eyes might be the result of another allele. The eventual eye color depends on which alleles are present and how they interact with each other. The instructions in your genes will determine your features, such as eye color, hair color, height, and so on. There are different types of genes for each different feature. A variant of a gene may have the instructions for brown hair, whereas another may have the instructions for blonde hair. The result will be determined by how these genes interact. https://www.mybiosource.com/learn/complete-guide-to-genes/ SHOW ME....please...where I made the claim that only ONE person has a particular gene and no one else does. IT how the are expressed interact or whether or not they are on.....we humans share in the same gene pool from which we draw of respective features. Sharing the same "gene pool" isn't the same as sharing the same genes. Just like sharing the same PLANET isn't the same as sharing the same as sharing the same LAND. Same it is still a variation. Ok..... -
“There is no such thing as a race.” —Dr. John Henrik Clarke
Pioneer1 replied to Troy's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
frankster We've already agreed....based on the actual DEFINITION of race....that nearly ANY difference among human beings can be a basis for racial classification -skin color (genetic) -language -even profession According to definition, nearly ANYTHING that distinguishes one group of humans from another can be considered their race or racial classification depending on how society chooses to define it or "construct" it. So what is the argument about???? Race can be based on skin color as easily as nose shape or hair texture.....all genetically based; depending on what that particular society CHOOSES to base their racial classification system on. So why WOULDN'T race have a genetic basis? -
Honestly, I'm not sure....but I don't see them around like I used to 15 and 20 years ago. Like much of Cyberspace, I guess a lot of people don't have the patience or attention span to participate on actual discussion boards and would rather text out 4 or 5 word responses with emojis multiple times a day while driving and going to the store...lol. Actually sitting down to a computer and formulating a well educated response with paragraphs and reference links is too "boring" for a lot of younger people. I remember participating on a Black Canadian site for years and the women LOVED to see the men debating eachother over things like politics, religion, and the African Diaspora. They could feel the testosterone oozing through the screen to see intelligent Black (American as well as Caribbean and African) men battling eachother intellectually and expressing themselves in an intelligent way. This was years before the ADOS and FBA movements where most of the exchanges between Black Americans, Africans, and Caribbeans were friendly and curious...lol.
-
ProfD Unfortunately, FBA/ADOS doesn't hold the patent or trademark on anything. As soon as the price is right, the sh8t gets sold or watered down or stepped on like dope. So the problem isn't protection, it's DISLOYALTY. Black folks know how to protect their property (including intellectual property) when they really want to. Some Black folks won't even let you claim a CITY or NEIGHBORHOOD if you aren't from there, lol. But when you have so many willing to literally SELL out, loyalty gets bought out too. Troy I don't understand you guys. Art is art. Anyone can create anything in any genre. Ever heard of INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY? You can "enjoy" it all you want, as long as you don't try to CLAIM it or claim to be the ORIGINATOR of it. Because that's intellectual theft. The genius BEHIND the art....whether it's music, movies, or clothing design...should be recognized and get their due credit. That does not mean it will be any good or that we should buy it. But restricting the creation of a genre of art to someone based upon phenotype make no sense and diminished the art form. If a particular phenotype or culture is the one creating it, then perhaps it should. Should a Chinese man who brings tacos to China get the credit of inventing Tacos or wear the title "Taco King"??? The problem is..... You see the same pattern play itself out over and over again. Black people invent something and first White people ridicule it and diss it and dismiss it....UNITL they see that OTHER races/nationalities like it and are drawn to it, including other White people. ....and especially White females. Then all of a sudden those same White people who ridiculed it and tried to dismiss it now claim to EMBRACE it because they see a way to make money off of it AND they don't want the charisma of it pulling other groups and even Whites towards Black Americans. Our charisma is ENDEARING. So they try to limit access to it.

I'm not too familiar with the case. I knew he went on trial and was serving time for something. I'm presuming the man actually DID die given the heading of the news story, though. -

They tried it with the Russia/Ukraine Conflict. Both sides were trying to heavily recruit from Africa to use Black bodies as ground forces. -
frankster Cool. I agree your Rights can be Denied... Then they aren't inalienable as you claimed. Lastly you going all the way back to his childhood....before he became an adult and developed his own mind is a weak argument - he would have been considered a minor and not entirely responsibile for his decisions or actions as he would be under the care and guidance of the adults in his family having not reach the age of Maturity/majority or Responsibility Perhaps you're confusing a "weak argument" with an "easy win" since it clearly proves you wrong...lol. Your suggesting that Dr. Clarke has never compromised or submitted to racism flies in the face of common sense. Even in the heart of slavedom in the Antibellum Southern United States South of the Mason Dixon line Quakers never accept or practice Race and or Racism in their communities as a rule law or way of life. In THEIR communities. But once a Black Quaker steps OUTSIDE of that community, he's subject to the same laws and rules that other Black people are subject to. Yet you still have not answered yes or no....lol And neither have you. And YOU were the first one to be asked the question.

Current Administration Rolling Gender Back
Pioneer1 replied to ProfD's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
As quiet as it's kept..... In most of these institutions, much if not most of the faculty actually AGREE with Trump and the conservatives on many of these issues and are he's doing what he's doing. They're glad that it's being done so that THEY don't have to show their true colors and do it themselves. They're good at playing the blame game. For example...... Many Republicans run on a "America first -stay out of foreign affairs" platform locally. They'll criticize Democrats and "Washington" all day for involving themselves in foreign affairs and sending troops overseas to meddle in other people's business. But ALL parties support American hegemony. Republicans are more war like and globalist than most Liberals have dreamed of being. They support American troops being spread around the world to maintain control. How does one explain the disconnect and the anti-globalist rhetoric, then? That same Republican Congressman who DOES support globalism although his constituents don't will vote against a globalist police ONLY IF he knows there's enough votes in Congress to send it through and he knows Trump will sign it. However if his TRUE globalist desires are being threatened and it looks like there's not enough votes for him to sit it out or play his little game, he'll vote right along side of the other globalists. -
But that's what I mean..... That game should be so CODIFIED that a person should have to earn that title from a Black organization. Like having a Black Belt in a martial art. You can't just walk around claiming it, but you have to go through a process to EARN it because Asians have codified it. Hiphop and other inventions of FBA culture should be the same way. Those candied yams ain't right unless WE say they were cooked right, lol.

As Cynique mentioned in another thread not too long ago, in many cases it's really more of a pissing contest than a debate. Who can "shine" the most or win the most applause. Problem is, there's not much audience participation so besides standing on principle....there's not a lot of incentive to do my best work in these debates. What me and frankster do is nothing compared to what I used to participate in back in the day when web discussion boards were REALLY in full swing. This was before twitter and Instagram where so many people have become ADHD and can't focus for more than 2 minutes. I'd participate in Black discussion boards where EVERYTHING was debated. A thread may go into 20 or 40 pages of debate and participation. Religion, race, sex, religious teachings, etc.. Lipstick Alley is only a TASTE of what it used to be like. The Nation of Islam based discussion boards were VERY articulate. You'd start off a discussion with definitions.....lol. On one site, the brother who ran it used to post books for reference on the site so we could click on and verify the accuracy of an assertion somebody made. The debate on one topic may go into 5 or 6 months, and you had 20 or 30 people engaging eachother in different debates. ....and we LOVED it. Now to keep it real, I'm not sure how "productive" those activities were for us personally or for the community. Not sure how many houses it built, how many people it fed, or how much money it generated. .....just sitting around arguing and debating with eachother day and night....lol. But entertainment wise, it was very fun.

Black youth who are into Hiphop need to start reclaiming our titles. ...tired of seeing Whites, Arabs, and Latinos running around calling themselves "DJ" this and that while Black artists have literally belittled themselves with names like "Young" this and "Lil" that and "Baby" so-n-so.

And with MASKS on too! I've seen so many videos of ICE agents in masks and gang-rags over their faces jumping out of corners and from behind walls at court houses and government buildings chasing people down and tackling them. They aren't playing it seems. When I look at how quickly Trump is moving on the illegal immigration issue, I'm constantly reminded of something Neely Fuller Jr. used to say. He said that the Race problem could be solved in 15 minutes IF White folks wanted it to. -
Troy I don't think many if not most people realize that there are some things WORSE than death. Their lack of experiences or observations have limited their scope of Reality.

This actually can go both ways. Because of AI scamming and deception, almost any digital evidence of a crime from fraud to murder COULD be questioned and possibly dismissed in court by being labeled "false AI generated content". "But see.... That shit wudden't me though. That was a false GENERATED image of me smashing the gas on his punk ass." -

ProfD Ok, I stand corrected....lol. I was close though. I do remember him mentioning red states and blue states vs the United States. I also remember some talking pundits declaring him a "rising star" in the Democratic Party and advising everyone to keep their eyes on him after he gave that speech. Man it's something else how time flies........lol. Seem like it was just last year when we were wondering COULD he be the first.....Blackish....President...lol. After the nomination, it was a wrap. -
frankster After interacting with me for months and months, haven't you learned ANYTHING from me? Why haven't you posted the actual DEFINITION of "Conspiracy" yet? That would begin to wrap up the argument right there, lol. Drugs, vaccines, the prison industrial complex, and racism itself are all products of CONSPIRACIES by it's very definition.

Well that sounds like something I often say....lol. Just as long as you got a brutha or sista sitting in the seat; even if they aren't doing shit for the community as long as they aren't harming it either sometimes you gotta look at it as: Well..... Atleast it's one less Black person in prison, in the unemployment line, or sleeping in the homeless shelter. -

Ok, now I remember the speech he made during the 2004 Democratic Convention. Unless you're talking about another speech he made I think the paraphrased words were there were no Red States or Blue States....only the United States. I didn't say that to correct you as much as I did to prove to myself my memory is still great...lol.
