Race: Cambridge Dictionary Definition
Pioneer1 replied to Pioneer1's topic in Culture, Race & Economy
frankster Then what did I ask? I remember asking the following and I quote: 'Where is the gene that is only found in one so called race and not the other?" On the first page of this thread you asked: So I presented excerpts from articles explaining this. Ok then.. If the are human genes then they are African.. According to YOU. I don't believe that. That's variety.... And variety means DIFFERENT. If they were all the same...that wouldn't be much of a "variety", lol. I have been saying from get....that we all share in the same genes.... Water comes three forms in Liquid Gas or Solid.....but they still all H2O But they aren't the same. Ice isn't the same as steam. Try to stuff ice cubes in your iron to iron your clothes and see how THAT turns out....lol. The material said: There are different types of genes for each different feature. Well since there is no feature that is exclusive to any race and not found in the other. It is safe to say that all races....especially Africans share in all genes I have seen europeans with African Features and Africans with european features....same gene pool some being expressed more or less Are there East Asians with blonde hair and blue eyes? Are there Caucasians with beaded nappy hair like the Bushmen? -
frankster Yes you often do... I have NOT conflated physical existence with existence period. I've routinely said that just because something exists in CONCEPT/IDEA that doesn't mean it has to exist physically. I've used emotions as example. I think you got it twisted, homes.

Chev Oh no. There is more to this. Oh??? Well DO tell....lol frankster Race as and is and always has been a social concept.....there is no physical basis for race. But science STILL acknowledges it. Something you originally claimed that it DIDN'T. -

Even in the past???? Chev This is nothing more than a back-handed way to try and DILUTE and DISPLACE Black Africans with other races. First it's the Mexicans but soon they'll be trying to send more Asians and especially more White people from places like Russia and the Slavic territories over there to dilute and mix in with the population. Give it a few years and the next thing they'll want to see is a bunch of little yellow curly headed kids running around with White and Mexican daddies covered in tattoos. I see keep their asses OUT of Africa. No amount of money in the world should be enough for them to start accepting non-African refugees and deportees into the land. Infact, they need to start DEPORTING some of the non-Africans they already DO have over there. -

....and I'm almost sure you've had a PIZZA delivered to you on more than one occasion in your lifetime, lol. Businesses like Door Dash simply took what Dominos did to another level. -

frankster Quote me correctly and completely......"As and within a social construct.....Yes - As a genetic reality.....no" A round-a-bout way of finally admitting that science ACKNOWLEDGES races. All modern humans are African by descent....to be human is to be African I just wanted to confirm that you held this assertion. -

frankster Where is the gene that is only found in one so called race and not the other? That's not what you asked me to present. You asked for genes found in SOME PEOPLE that aren't found in others. Are you saying that these different genes are non human? Ofcourse not. Or not part of the human gene pool? Not sure what you mean by that, however I presented the information you asked for. Yes...as humans we all have or share in those variants...They are all the same human genes.. Humans don't all share the SAME variants. Some have one group of variants, others another. Their are many different varieties of apples....they still all apples But all apples aren't the SAME. A Delicious Red isn't the same as a Green which isn't the same as a Honey Crisp. The Uniqueness or individuality does not mean they do not share in the same common gene pool....all living things have variations So you're just expounding on my point that we don't all have the same genes. They prove my point YOUR point was that everyone had the same genes, and both I and the material I provided proved you wrong. -
frankster Their humanity....human rights Again, inalienable means can't be taken away or given away. What rights do ANY human have that can't be taken away? Can you prove any of this.....? Asking me can I "prove" that he submitted to the rules of the academic institutions he attending is like asking me can I "prove" that he used their bathrooms or wore clothes. It's almost COMMON SENSE that he did. What??? You think he attending academic institutions ran by White folks and MADE UP HIS OWN RULES???? In response to my question: So telling ONE lie, makes you a liar? You said: Yes Now, guess what question I have for you next.....lol.

Although I don't, I can imagine it because I know people who get their food delivered on a regular basis. Some do it out of near necessity and others do it out of convenience. I'm careful about saying what I'd never do because modern technology has a way of pulling people into it. I used to say I wouldn't take an uber because it's too dangerous. About 7 years ago I was out of town and took my first uber ride....and then another...and another to get us around. Next thing you know I'm back home and STILL calling up ubers sometimes or better yet SENDING an uber to pick somebody up...lol. I haven't eaten food delivered by Door Dash or Uber Eats YET.....but lunch time at work is very tempting...lol. -
frankster It is done so as not to have the issue be conflated... But no one HAS conflated the issue, so where is this coming from? Yes that which is non-physical also does exist....in this case it is called a social construct - in the minds of the individual who make up and accept that social construct Though the religiously incline....are diligently searching for one - some even claimed to have found = yet call it by another name Confirmation bias, I guess. Buddhism and Taoism are Social Constructs....a buddhist or taoist are individuals who accept and practice buddhism and taoism Race and racism are social constructs...a racist is one who accept and practice racism I won't argue with any of this. The following suffix means "ism" denotes ideology - idea "ist'" denotes practitioner - person I like this. I think I'll use it in the future...lol.

I'd RATHER a robot deliver "uber eats" meals, anyway......lol. Atleast you don't have to worry about them digging into the food eating some of your fries or taking a bite out of a slice of your pizza while on their way to deliver it to you....lol. -
frankster Africans have always been human... For over 300 yrs Europeans with power have denied this fact....in their social construct. Now they are slowly recognizing this truth Africans being "human" isn't the issue. I'm asking you what "rights" do people have....African or otherwise...that are inalienable? When it comes to race history and Africanity he taught academia... It doesn't matter what he TAUGHT; at some point he was a STUDENT in an academic institution which means he had to SUBMIT to the rules and mores of that institution...including racism. I'm sure he had to "pledge allegiance to the flag" on more than one occasion....lol. They are....a killer and a liar Lol.... So telling ONE lie, makes you a liar?

frankster Then i missed it... please present again with links and excerpts. In response to you saying: If you can find a gene that one human have and another does not please share??? Although they are called a "copies"...they are still genes. And while some people have an extra copy, some people don't. A VARIENT gene is a DIFFERENT gene. A variety or assortment is a host of differences by definition. They still using cylinders....more or less But the engines are different. Which means that cars are different. No matter how similarities they may have, they aren't the same. No....not true We already covered this using siblings and twins. All humans vary....that variation does mean they have different genes. It absolutely does. If the genes in those individuals express themselves differently, then they ARE different. Again, no matter how similar they are to eachother...whatever is in one is causing it to express itself different than the other one. That "cause" be default makes it different. Thank you for realizing and accepting the role of environment in gene expression Ofcourse. Nobody denied this. Gene plasticity and Gene pleiotropy are responsible for that....not different genes. See the excerpts and links I provided. -

frankster Every social construct suits the demands of the social and political power dynamics of its society. As they should. In response to my saying: Science ACKNOWLEDGES different races. You don't. You said: So I have you QUOTED and ON RECORD as finally acknowledging that science acknowledges different races. Well it's about time. To show unity of origin or source....All homo sapiens sapiens are African no matter how different they appear You use the term "homo sapiens sapiens". Would I be correct to say that you believe "all humans are African"??? -
Same here bro.... I used to criticize people who smoke cigarettes or used hard drugs like Crack, but I stopped doing it because although I still recognize these habits as non-constructive in general....most of the time they are COPING MECHANISMS that people use to make difficult times in their lives easier. You never know what they were dealing with that turned them ON to whatever habit they're indulging in. And once they were no longer in that situation...they became addicted. Ofcourse it's a form of escapism. But if whatever they're addicted to keeps them from blowing their brains out or jumping off a bridge.....let them engage in it as long as it doesn't harm others UNTIL they can solve whatever problem they're trying to escape from.

I don't take offense or get frustrated at Troy and frankster drilling on the fact that racial categories are social constructs. I'm actually inclined to agree with them because racial categories as well as their terms and qualifications often change from society to society and generation to generation. My frustration is at them using that term WHILE continuing to claim that race "doesn't exist"; or "doesn't exist in science". Calling something a "social construct" doesn't null or void it; which is what I feel they are attempting to do. It's a form of gaslighting in my opinion trying to tell us that something we KNOW exists and that much of our society (including this very website!) is actually built around....doesn't.

We're close to the same age, and as you know they were saying this 30 years ago....lol. Remember when they installed self-check out and they said that would be the end of cashiers? When people started pumping their own gas, that would be the end of gas station attendants? Remember when "robots" were supposed to take over for factory workers? Here we are 30 and 40 years later and there are still plenty of jobs in stores, factories AND farms. Enough for Americans AND illegals....lol. -
Come on bro, a person can change and "see the light" at ANY age. One thing is for sure, He's not coming out on the other side of this the same man he was when he went into it. He'll be a changed man....even if the only thing that changes is just more grey........lol.

Now that's interesting..... Because I heard that the Amorites were actually the MOORS. -
I remember when Ma$e found religion and ran around preaching or a minute. I'm not sure if he's still preaching or rapping or what as I haven't followed him lately. With the getting on his knees and praying...I predict there may be a religious conversion on Puff's part which may influence the future of his career now. ...especially if he gets out immediately with "time served".

Actually, in the long run....the OPPOSITE could be true in many cases. If there were no illegal immigrants in America, more Americans would have jobs....either by choice OR by force. Wages would increase out of demand. Standards of living would increase to. I've seen the American standards of living...in some cases...decline over the past 30 years because of the mass influx of immigrants who tolerate conditions...with a smile...that Americans used to NOT tolerate. -
frankster They were denied... How can something "inalienable" be denied???? It's like saying an "undefeated champion" lost a fight back in 1997....lol. If it CAN be denied, then by definition it's NOT inalienable. Dr Clarke was a Chairman of African Studies department at Hunter college in NYC long before he got any such degree. He went to SCHOOL to learn how to read, write, and count didn't he? He graduated, didn't he? He DID submit himself to Western Academia at some point...lol As chairman he set the rules... He wasn't ALWAYS a chairman. Both are killers...one or the other maybe a murderer. I wouldn't call a person who kills someone ONE TIME a "killer" any more than I'd call a person who tells ONE LIE a "liar". None sense.... As far as YOU'RE concerned...probably.

frankster You the one who did not respond....so that theory applies to you I absolutely DID respond. I presented 2 excerpts with the links attached. Yes....they both using cylinders....one more than the other One uses more than the other because it HAS more cylinders to use...lol. It's a different type of engine all together. The Gene is same.....it expresses itself more or less depending on environment. It is not a different gene. If that were true..... Then everyone living in the same environment would LOOK the same. Black people and White people have been living in America in the same environment eating the same foods in the same climate for HUNDREDS of years and we still look different from eachother. It's more than just environment, the genes themselves are different. They EXPRESS differently because they ARE different. -

frankster Not always.... In a racist society today and the very recent past....most likely Probably. Again, since it's a "social construct"...it depends on how society CONSTRUCTS it. I am not the one making these claim....Science is Science ACKNOWLEDGES different races. You don't. We all originate from African genetics....All humans are descendants of African Ethnic Groups I'm curious.... Why do you say "African genetics"...as opposed to simply "genetics"??? -
frankster That is why i keep saying physically No, you keep saying "physically" to INTENTIONALLY formulate a strawman defense. No one is arguing whether something has to be physical to "physically exist". But that which is NON-PHYSICAL also exists....and you know it...but don't want to admit it. To prove that science agrees that races are real and based in genetics... NO. To prove that science agrees that races are real PERIOD. Something you and Troy continue to deny. The scientific studies done primarily on race results says is that it is not genetic.....There is no gene for Race - Race gene There's no gene for religion either. Do Buddhists and Taoists exist? Or are the all the same or are they separate?
