  1. ProfD Well, Eddie Murphy & my homie Martin Lawrence have done it quite a bit. I've always thought Eddie Murphy might swing both ways like saloon doors.🤣 I'm not sure about Eddie. The only thing I really heard about him was that time he picked up that trans dude, which could have been an honest mistake. He fucked around with too many women...including Whitney Houston....to be like that, lol. I wouldn't put it past him.....but I just don't believe it as of now. I believe Martin is straight too. Nigga just silly, but I don't believe there's sissy anywhere inside of him...lol. However Tyler Perry........???.......ehhh. I personally don't have a problem with a man wearing dresses and make up for BIG money. We talk about this from time to time at work and in other circles. Dudes be swearing up and down how they'd never put on a dress and would rather die first. If they'd offer me $5 million for it, I'd put on a dress and wouldn't think twice about it. I wouldn't have a moral OR ethical problem with it, what so ever. I'd put SEVERAL different dresses on.....and even take them off....infront of the cameras, lol. I'd put some lip stick on too for good measure, lol. Shit like that doesn't bother me personally because I'm straight, I know I'm straight, and everybody who knows me know that I'm straight. So....... Now engaging in HOMOSEXUAL behavior on the screen would indeed be an issue. But not just dressing up like a woman. However I do respect men who refuse to do so. Especially if they're doing it for moral or ethical reasons. A Black man should stand by his convictions. I certainly do. But that just happens to NOT be one of my convictions....lol. Tarantino does some modern day blaxploitation sh8t but otherwise his movies are watchable Tarantino....like Stephen Spielberg.... is one of those White artists who's work is so genius that it transcends race or ethnicity or culture. No matter what race you or or what background you come from or what you're into....when you observe their work, you're recognizing greatness. Madonna is another one. No matter what kind of music you're into....you recognize Madonna's talent as an artist. Tarantino is probably the only White film producer who could have done Django Unchained, lol. There are plenty of Black artists like that, but White artists like that are a rarity.
  2. Well I guess not. Most of them have CROSSED already.....lol. The ones STILL in Mexico are the White ones who are doing well and have no need to leave. I thought there was a lot of illegal Latinos in Michigan, man I went out West and talk about a Latino presence......nearly every other restaurant and bar was Mexican! I'm talking about Denver, Las Vegas, up in Oregon, down in California, in Utah!!!! When you go West of the Mississippi River.....Latinos seem to make up a 1/3 of the population! And they're making inroads in places like the Carolinas, Alabama, and Tennessee. I don't know who ICE is going after or who they're deporting, because I'm seeing more Latinos NOW than there was before Trump got in office. Maybe they're locking them up, giving them tracking devices, and sending them back out into the wild like tagging deer or coyote.
  3. Michigan was built for that anyway. 100 years ago when most of the car and steel factories were up and running, EVERY DAY looked like that....lol.
  4. That's because she might be a PREACHER'S daughter.....lol. Using words like "fornicative" or "adulterated" around HER will bring back terrible memories she's trying to steer clear of. Dude will have more success with her if used lines like: "Hey queen............ Take me back home and OPEN YOUR GATES for me.....so that this king of glory can come marching up inside of you!" Or...... "Hey girl, After I get through shaking your foundation I'm going to take you up to the 3rd Heaven and have you making joyful noises."
  5. ProfD Maybe so. I still see dye running done n8gglet faces especially when it's hot outside.🤣 When it comes to older dudes, just rock the salt & pepper or gray hair & cut that sh8t low or bald. Holding on to hair with paint, er, dye, is dumb...unintelligent People want to maintain their youth...lol. No matter how much people tell you grey hair looks good or looks good on you, you don't believe them deep down. You'd rather your hair and hairline look like it did at 30 rather than 60. Which usually means a head full of bushy black hair...lol. Ask questions straight up & do a body search well before the git down. No confusion. Ain't too many REAL women are going to let you do a lot of cavity searching like that, let alone a nigga trying to PASS for one...lol. I see similar n8gglets as waiters & hosts in restaurants & food places. It's always Black dudes.🙄 Every now & then, you'll see a white dude who forgot to take off his nail polish from the previous night.🤣 I've been noticing that for decades. A White man could be gay as hell, but you wouldn't even know it. He's acting macho, talking macho, and might even have a wife and kids to cover up his alternative lifestyle. A gay Black man has to tell the WHOLE WORLD how sissified he is. Gotta run around with his hair dyed pink on one side and green on the other, halter tops with his hairy belly out, bending over and twerking every 5 minutes....and don't let him open his mouth and say something, lol. I'm convinced it's a psychological mechanism geared towards showing society how harmless and non-threatening he is. I also believe that many of these dudes were somehow affected as children by the comical images of flaming sissies they saw growing up. Remember Men on Film from In Living Color? You never know how a man dressing up like a woman...such as Eddie or Martin or even Flip Wilson....may hit a trigger and influences some boy watching that to want to grow up and BE that. I'm impressed those n8gglets took the time to get a job in order to provide for themselves instead of living off others. I've never seen a lazy gay man, lol. Gay dudestend to have money and connections. Some more than others....but never flat busted and on the street.
  6. "fornicative"....lol. My first time coming across that one!
  7. I remember another movie he was in where he played a gay firefighter who came out of the closet. I believe it was "Chuck and Larry". Doing it ONCE is a ritual. Doing the shit OVER and OVER again.....and you're trying to tell us something, lol. Next thing you know he'll be on The Breakfast Club trying to explain why he did nothing when some White guy grabs his nuts and kisses him. .....talking about how "confused" he was about the situation. .....talking about how it happened so fast he didn't have a chance to react, like Terry Crews....lol. You know I have YET to see Pulp Fiction? I usually check out Quinton Tarantino's flix, but for some reason I just haven't gotten around to seeing that one.
  8. That's because they're getting better at their cosplay.....lol. Drag queens used to LOOK like drag queens, now you can't tell the difference when they're walking around out on the streets. They done lost the squareness of their jaws, the bass in their voices......arms are soft and jiggly. Some of them even put water balloons or something in the seat of their pants to make them cheeks bounce when they walk. You can't tell them from real women UNTIL it's time to get down with the "git down"...lol. One brutha sat across from us with some smooth lotioned up arms, some sort of texturized hair tapered with lace fronts, smelling like cocobutter! I'm not gonna lie...I was IMPRESSED with the time and effort the nigga put in, lol. When I saw the nigga I started thinking of LL Cool J's lyrics: "Baby hair pumpin' lip gloss a shinin' "
  9. BTW...... First time I heard (saw) of "Gen Jones".....lol. I had to actually look that one up.
  10. Looks like Wakanda is protected from the brunt of it.....lol
  11. I don't know too much about the city, but that airport was something else! Black people were only a fraction of the population at the airport, but there were SO MANY people in that airport that even that fraction looked like THOUSANDS to me. I'm talking about Black people of all types. Some of them with jheri curls.... Others with nappy beaded hair.... Some tall, skinny, and jet black..... Others short, stocky, and honey brown..... Some with turbans on their heads.... Some with a face full of henna tattoos Others with a face full of prison tattoos...lol. 200 different types of niggaz speaking 200 different languages when you walk by them....lol. Now, I can see this where I live also....during a prolonged period of time. But not nearly as many in such a short time span; all packed together grinning and looking at eachother funny....lol.
  12. Isn't it interesting how White and Latino ICE officers can shoot and kill people and you'll never even know who they are. You don't know their names, their race, or anything else about them. The media keeps their information confidential. They have to damn near invoke the Freedom Of Information Act to get any information on THEM. But if a Black ICE officer shoot somebody, he gets the honor of having his picture plastered all over the national media. ......in a mug shot photo. .....because he usually gets arrested when HE shoots somebody.
  13. I actually stayed in Denver a LONG time ago.....over 20 years ago. It was only for a day or 2. I didn't stay long enough to make any type of real judgement about it other than there was a lot of Latinos and Los Angeles transplants. I remember seeing quite a few Black people when I was in Denver. Nothing like Atlanta or St. Louis....lol...but some. What stood out to me though was that most of the Black people I talked to there were from Los Angeles. What turned me off about the city was the weather. I do remember it was in the summer time when I drove through there, and even then there was a cold wind that blew through the mile-high city. I said if it was THAT cold in the Summer....it had to be polar in the Winter.
  14. Here in West Michigan it has been unusually dry this Spring and Summer and no doubt this is contributing to the situation. I was out of town when the smoke came this way and we were warned about how bad it was and saw the news, but it wasn't until we we arrived at the airport....AND YOU COULDN'T SEE THE AIRPORT....lol....that we realized how bad it was! The pilot had to circle around a bunch of times before landing! As I said, it's way worse than mere fog. Fog is just visual. It limits how far you can see but unless you're driving...it's relatively fun and interesting, lol. This is TOXIC. After walking around in it for a few minutes it tickles your lungs. One can only imagine what people with asthma, COPD, and other lung issues are going through. Many of them are filling up the hospitals.
  15. Lol..... Has that SMOKE hit yall down there yet???? Just checking on my brother. I heard yall are getting a little TASTE of what Michigan has been getting for the past 3 or 4 days....lol. For those of you living down South or our West, imagine a foggy day.....but the fog is TOXIC and makes your chest tingle, lol.
  16. Mel Now, we've agreed on a lot of the points made in this video presented on YouTube. But here's where we diverge in our perspectives. See, that's why you and a lot of women ain't married right now....lol...yall don't know when to stop. You SHOULD have stopped on our agreeing....and left it alone, LOL I don't know how many times I've gotten into argument with women while sitting on the couch. The conversation is going fine....until she drops a "But, see....." with a smirk on her face, then I KNOW the shit is about to go sideways like a jumbo jet with one engine....LOL. I start staring at the carpet, after that. From my experience, Black people have different mating rituals than those who established Western civilization. Facts. I've noticed this since I was a teenager. We just have different natures from them. Not only are our mating habits different....by nature....but so are our tastes and our psychological make-up in general. Even when we try to imitate them, it usually doesn't work out. We really should take advantage of the limited amount of "liberty" we are offered in the United States to break away from the old religion-colonial based marriage and social systems that were forced on many of our Ancestors and develop our own. We have the "liberty" to experiment and find out what works. Like you said, we have our own rituals....we should focus on those that work and avoid those that don't. When Black families come together, from birth to death, it is often a proverbial Thanksgiving, cook-out, brunch, or some type of eatfest. Yes. Because eating is a SENSUAL activity. A healthy appetite signals a healthy sex drive. Just like dancing is also a SENSUAL activity. If you're good at dancing, it usually means (usually...lol) that you're good in bed. Black men will PROPOSE something if you cook for them!!! 😆 That's our courting ritual. Facts. I did myself. When I was 28 years old I proposed to a 78 year old Mexican woman down in Tuscon Arizona strictly because of her cooking, lol. She couldn't even speak English and I didn't know Spanish...but I found a dude walking down the street to translate for me. Also, I've learned that if a Black man wants to take you to his family reunion, you'd better get off your booty and go! This is true. But sometimes the OPPOSITE is true as well. I know some bruthaz who's families are so fucked up and dysfunctional that keeping her AWAY from his family is a sign that he loves her and wants a more serious committed relationship with her. If a man doesn't mind bringing you around his drug addicted mother and crazy ass sister and insist yall can still have sex down in the basement (where he still lives) because his dysfunctional ass family don't care one way or another....that's a sign of what he thinks of YOU, lol. If he doesn't want you to see any of that, that means he actually values your opinion of him and doesn't want to scare you away. if a Black woman wants a Black man to meet her sister-girls, that is a huge hint! You're right, however most Black men don't need hints like that to tell if a woman is interested. Even the DUMBEST bruthaz can tell if a woman is interested in him instinctively. Just by deduction alone....lol. If you go through your day with most women not even looking in your DIRECTION let alone saying anything to you, it doesn't take a lot for you to get the message if one finally DOES show some teeth when she says hello. The main issue with men is either not having the confidence to respond or simply not being interested. What many sistaz need to learn is to take a hint when a man IS NOT interested, no matter how many hints she drops. I try to tell my female relatives, don't make TOO big of a fool of yourself dropping too many hints for a man who is obviously not interested. There's only so many times you can drop a pen or napkin and bend over infront of him before you start embarrassing yourself AND him...lol. So, stop watching Hallmark movies to get a clue and watch us, what we do naturally, and then see what comes next and how quick we connect. Fam, I ain't watched the Hallmark channel since they showed that damn "Holiday Heart" movie! Got big ole' muscle bound Ving Rhames portraying some cross dressing sissy giving little girls advice in a shrill voice. What kind of shit is that? I did my OWN personal boycott of that channel....lol. Ok, so, that's what happens in my Black tribe. Has anyone observed something different in their tribe? My tribe vs your tribe? You're starting to sound like our brother richardmurray now....lol. Next thing, you'll be talking about how DOSers be getting married vs the Staten Islanders, lol.
  17. Mel I've gotten proposals from my cooking...In fact, one suitor ate all my almond-flour cookies after he said he didn't want any. Sounds like THAT brutha was gluten intolerant or had Celiac Disease and it must have been a while since he was able to eat cookies that wouldn't jack his stomach up. Be careful getting with a brutha like that. No telling WHAT you may smell after following in behind him, after he used the bathroom...lol. On a more serious note... Are YOU gluten intolerant? I ask because most people who use almond-flour do so to avoid using traditional wheat. Because Black men will also cook for Black women That's what I did...lol. My Mother had been trying to teach me how to cook since I was a child, but I didn't have a "hot thumb". My brother is a natural, but not me. I didn't learn how to cook until I was in my 40s! And I'm still learning. I forced myself to learn in order to impress Black women....but not American Black women....African Black women, lol. If a Black woman wants you to meet our sister-girls Black man that is a huge hint! This is true. However to keep it real, most Black men...shit, most men in general...really don't need hints. They already know if a woman is interested. If they ACT like they don't know, that's usually what it is...an act. I tell some of the younger sistaz, you can drop all the hints you want....but you need to learn how to tell if a man just ain't into you, lol.
  18. It's ABOUT TIME somebody posted something I can sink my teeth into, lol. I was getting kinda bored for a minute. I log on to AALBC on a smooth Saturday morning looking for about 5 or 6 threads I can chop it up in and see the only one who has been posting since yesterday is ME. Usually ProfD has dropped SOMETHING profound by the time I log on, now HE comes up absent.....lol. Sheeeyit....... I don't even know WHAT Mel said yet and already gave her ass a trophy just for posting something I can respond too....lol.
  19. Lol, you're not talking about those "passport bros" are you? For some of them cats, their ONLY goal is to have sex with non-Black women. If they aren't attractive enough (for any reason) to pull non-Black women here in the United States....they tend to go overseas and use their relative wealth and status as American citizens to pull them.
  20. Lol.....I don't think that statement was for you. It was directed towards me per an exchange about Black marriage, we were having.
  21. ProfD D8mn bro...that was cold as h8ll but funny as sh8t Gotta keep it a buck. We know Mr. Ewing isn't exactly the BEST looking brutha in the world....lol. But he didn't let that stop him. He's got a beautiful family. Like you and Troy often say, money can make up for looks. Mel A lot of my friends are on their third marriage because their husbands were extremely distant. Even my ex -says he wished he could have connected with his uncle sooner. He believes we would have still been married because his uncle helped him work through a lot of issues. The video took about 13 minutes to say what could probably be summed up in about 30 seconds. Black men have trained themselves NOT to be warm, expressive, and to be emotionally distant for 2 reasons: 1. They've learned that much of society don't feel sorry for Black men and don't care what they're going through anyway. Growing up in a Black community where when you get hurt and start crying and instead of consoling you people start pointing and LAUGHING at you or tell you "shut up all that damn crying".....you learn real quick to conceal your emotions. 2. Being emotionally expressive and warm often lead to being called weak, soft, and even victimized by other Black people. Black men often have to "ad lib" their relationships because most of us are learning things from scratch that White men seem to pass along to eachother from one generation to the next. One of the reasons White relationships tend to work is because both of them....male and female...tend to follow a "script" that has been given to them. Even if there's no love and little sex involved...as long as you follow the "script" and the man acts out his role and the woman acts out her role...the relationship lasts. Go out to an event and watch how White couples...regardless of age...all tend to act the same! Young White couples in their 20s act just like the old White couples in their 80s. The men are always grabbing the woman's hand and leading her. The women are always looking at the face of the man every 30 seconds and gauging his expression....like a dog does it's master. Then they're getting ready to sit down the man always decides where they're going to sit. No ad lib, no creativity.....they all tend to follow the same script as if it's instinctive. Even if it's a lesbian couple....the "butch" woman follows the same script that the White man WOULD have followed, lol. Black people have no such script and often have to "ad lib" their relationships. They have to "trial and error" their way through relationships to find out what works and what doesn't work for them. That's one of the reasons I say this marriage system in this society wasn't designed for Black people. This idea of getting married first before having sex and living with somebody for the rest of your life is backwards. If our people weren't so religious we could formulate a viable system that actually DOES work for us. For example, the more logical method is living with a person for atleast a year if not 3 years before deciding whether THEY are the right person you want to settle down with BEFORE you get married. That gives you enough time to find out all you need to know about them physically, emotionally, mentally, so that you don't make the wrong decision or end up having children together which often bind you with them for life one way or another. But the Church, Mosque, and other religious institutions that most of our people to discourage that.
  22. Troy Well, what do you mean by broke? Is owning a home and being self-sufficient, but unable to afford to buy expensive jewelry or lavish vacation qualify as broke? Someone like me. Just like there are 2 types of rich: Black man rich and White man rich .....there are 2 types of broke: Black man broke and White man broke Having a house (even a trailer) and a vehicle and NOT begging is just a GIVEN for a White man. Even the White man on the bottom tends to have these basics. So if a WHITE MAN can't afford to take care of his wife, buy expensive jewelry, or go on vacations...he's considered "broke" or "trash". When a Black man is broke...he's BROKE. Has NO money, no credit, and usually in debt. Unless he has a friend or family member willing to let him crash in their home....his ass is homeless and on the street! The powers that be usually TRY not to let White men....in large numbers....get THAT broke, because when they do they often become violent and turn on the system. Speaking of height at 5'7", I know women prize taller men over shorter ones all things being equal. While I don't really have a problem in the ladies department I know without the wealth of say Prince or Kevin Hart, it I was as short as they were, I would probably struggle... If I were 6'2", oh my Prince was short, but what saved him was his "pretty boy" looks....lol. Unless you're a midget, I think many women....in this society atleast....would prefer a short "cute" man over a tall one who looks like Patrick Ewing, lol. That used to be true for me, but not any more! Well in that case, Cynique seems to be available....lol. I'm sure she's getting atleast 2 checks! Man you should be writing for Tyler Perry Lol, that DOES sound like something out of a Tyler Perry flick, don't it? Gotta make one of the characters LGBT or abused or something, though. "Generation X" is a narrow 15-year period which I would discourage anyone from using as a lens to describe behavior. I KNOW people like simple explanations but why individuals behave in a particular way is usually a combination complex variables and being born between 1965 and 1980 is probably the least important. Generation X may have been born and grew up in a relatively narrow period of time but we were far more influential on the following generations than any previous generation. The music, culture, and dress are still being imitated and adapted with slight modifications by the Gen Zer's, Millenials, and others I'm a baby boomer (1962) but know plenty of guys born in 1965 and later. Virtually all of these cats got married. But tell the WHOLE story.....lol....how many of them got divorced? As a Gen Xer I can say most of the men I grew up with did get married but most of them eventually got divorced. They were trying to NOT make the same "mistake" their fathers made by abandoning them and the family. However after getting older and seeing more, they recognized that it's this society ITSELF that drives a lot of Black men to do what they do. Pressures from this society...from the job, from the women, from other Black men you're competing with, and racism in general often times demoralizes Black men to the point that they GIVE UP trying to do the "manly" thing of taking care of a wife and kids. Why should he, when resources are too often purposefully being denied to him to be able to do so? This is why I say marriage in THIS society wasn't designed Black men or for Black men. Black men trying to imitate a culture that wasn't designed for them, and trying their best to make it work. Marriage does work for us, but it has to be INSIDE of a nation or atleast a network and close-knit community ran exclusively by US. The women must rely on US.....Black men...for provision and protection both on the family level and at the societal level. If White men or Arabs are running the society, YOU won't be respected as a husband.
  23. Who are they.....Oaktown 357 back on the scene????
  24. It was well deserved....lol. On the plane trip, I got a chance to briefly see a few spots in America I hadn't really seen before....like the Denver Metropolitan airport. We had a 3 hour lay over in Denver so I decided to roam around and check the place out. That place was HUGE. To me, it looked bigger than LAX, JFK, or O'hare. And so many beautiful women of different ages and of nearly every ethnicity on the planet it seemed. Talk about African women....lol....from EVERY tribe. Tall jet black Sudanese women walking around...in high heels. Silky haired Ethiopian and Somali women walking around giggling. South African Zulu women walking around eating pretzels and cheese and shit...lol. Some of them were fliers. Some of them were airline attendants. Restaurants with nearly every cuisine on the planet. If I were in my 20s I would have probably relocated there just to work in the airport....lol.
  25. ProfD I blame the managers for not doing a better job of enforcing food safety rules The managers are often times the biggest culprits...lol. They often times get so busy and frustrated trying to do several things at once that they say "fuck the rules" and do whatever needs to be done however they can do it....even if it's not safe. But then again, if the MANAGER of the place is a 20 year old kid with tattoos all over his neck, chest, and up and down his arm and a ring in his nose....you really shouldn't expect the most sterile dining environment anyway, lol. Black America does not own the farms & corporations that produce food in the USA. We used to. The Nation of Islam used to....and still does to a certain degree....have acres and acres of farm land where they not only grew their own food but had enough to sell and distribute to the rest of Black America. One of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad's sons took over and sold many if not most of the businesses and even dismantled the military structure of the NOI and made sure these businesses were managed effectively. If Black America had its own farms & grocery stores & restaurants, etc., we would -sell them again? Because we DID have our own farms, grocery stores, and restaurants.....in far larger numbers than we have today. But after so-called Integration a lot of our people became lazy and decided to let White folks do for us what we should have been doing for ourselves.
