Troy I was just thinking the same thing relative to Katrina and 911. Both seem a life time ago. They literally WERE. Katrina was 20 years ago and 911 was almost 24 years ago. Think about how many teenagers you remember who didn't make it PAST 20 years old. Think about how many people were born and died between 2005 and 2025. It makes you so grateful to have live as long as you have. The events of 911 created a great deal of patriotism many people flew American flags during that time. One of the things I distinctly remember after 9/11 was how FRIENDLY Arab gas station owners were in the days and weeks following the event...lol. They were being phased out anyway and by 2001 there were almost no "full service" gas stations left in the Detroit area. They were almost all self-serve. ....except after September of 2001, lol. Arab gas station owners went from sitting behind bullet-proof glass taking your money for the gas and not even looking up at you let alone speaking to you and more likely speaking to another relative or friend sitting next to them in Arabic and all but ignoring their American customers - to all of a sudden coming out of their booths cleaning your windshield, checking your oil, greeting customers, passing out candy and potato chips for "customer appreciation day"...lol.

Granted, they aren't broken down old men but are usually in pretty decent shape. That doesn't mean EVERY 30 year old woman is chasing them down, but some old bruthaz still look good like some old women do. Infact, there is one dude in my neighborhood who is 62 years old and constantly complain about being able to get a woman....but women of different ages constantly give him the eye and flirt with him and a few asked me about him talking about how "fine" he was....lol. I think I mentioned him before on this very site. Troy There are definitely older women who would go after younger men, especially if they kept themselves together and are financially secure, I’m not talking about getting married or anything, but certainly hooking up. Male exotic dancers are in demand for a reason and of course, they stories of women going to Jamaica… I've always like older women. I'm talking those MUCH older than me. When I was 28 I had a VERY brief sexual relationship with a woman who was 63 (I checked her ID...lol) I didn't do it for kicks or on a dare, I genuinely found her physically attractive. Obviously, a higher percentage of men go after younger women. You don’t hear about wealthy older women setting up rings to procure young men as in the Jeffrey Epstein case. You don't hear about women doing this for men of ANY age...lol. I say this half jokingly, but I don't think most women in general find men as attractive as most men find them, lol. That's why most men have historically had to have more than just themselves to secure the women of their desires. Even if ALL he has is sex and being good in bed, he has to use THAT as some sort of commodity to attract women. Where as the average woman doesn't even have to be good at THAT. All she has to do is EXIST and be willing to give them a chance and over 40% of the men in her environment will be willing to have sex with her.

The issue with that theoretical strategy is that the virus WASN'T killing people by the millions, let alone sterilizing them. Granted, unlike the flu....the virus affected multiple organs in the body and caused a lot more long term damage but it's mortality rate wasn't too much higher than that of the typical flu, especially when you take in the mortality rate of seniors and those with pre-existing conditions. People are catching Covid MULTIPLE times and are not only functioning in society as they were before but still reproducing. All I'm saying is that we had it easier than young adults do today -- all things being equal. College, Housing, Insurance it is all just so much more expensive now You're keeping it a buck right there. It's harder for both young men AND young women but in my opinion it's much harder for young men today than it was 30 years ago. Much more confusion. Especially for AMERICAN men. If you come from another culture where male expectations are still solidly intact and you are taught what's expected of you, you may find it a little easier living here...as long as you stay in your own community. And see, when I was coming...you were considered a BUM if you lived like that. In Michigan atleast. The ideal was to own/mortage a HOUSE. That was what most people of average intelligence were doing. But living with a "roomate" back in the day was something people one step above homeless, or just got out, or had some sort of mental issue and got kicked out from their family did. Even in Detroit in the projects you didn't really have a "roomate". 95% of the residents were women with children and their boyfriends who would drop in and out. But now a days you have people with solid middle class jobs who are sharing houses and apartments with roomates and people they barely know because the cost of living is so high.

Not just for financial reasons but for maturity and life-skills confidence. There are exceptions, and this society allows for that. He MAY be best able to answer this question since he resides in the DMV area, but anybody is welcomed to chime in. With all of this talk about Trump sending in Federal officers and national guardsmen into D.C. and now I read where the state of West Virginia is deploying troops there as well. I'm curious as to WHERE all of this security will be concentrated. I don't know TOO much about D.C. but I've heard that the South East quadrant was the most dangerous and heard stories from people including relatives about Anacostia so since that was such an infamous area I decided to google "National Guard and Anacostia", but nothing came up. Based on your observations, do YOU see any extra police and troops patrolling the areas? What's the climate like out there right now? Me knowing how these people are and how they operate..... They probably send the authorities and extra security to the places where they are NOT needed like the wealthy elite districts, just to make THEM feel safe and secure. While the hood continues to see lawlessness and abandonment. I remember on a trip to New York years ago I was in a restaurant in Brooklyn and we heard so many gun shots go off people were sitting up describing what KIND of guns were being used and who was using them....lol. The next day we had to go to Manhattan for something and I remember going past some wealthy business area near Wall St. and saw all types of police and security with what looked like automatic weapons just standing around on the sidewalks staring at people looking like they had nothing to do BUT stand guard. I remember thinking to myself why aren't THEY in the neighborhoods dealing with the violence instead of just standing around guarding financial institutions???

What about soldiers who sign up during times of war and offer their services and very lives for a nation or "cause"? The vast majority of people who are together are choosing to be together for their own personal reasons. I'd rather it to be this way than to have a society where relationships are "arranged". What makes a man with money a fool is tricking without a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). He's better off paying an escort service. That wouldn't be bad at all. It would certainly be easier. However as I mentioned before, prostitution take some of the "fun" out of pulling a female by your own wit and charm...lol. Even if a man is using his money and cars and status to attract women, the idea of actually pulling out some money and PAYING for coochie is very off putting for most men because of what it implies. I was talking to somebody a few days ago about 9/11. They said they signed up to go to the military BECAUSE of 9/11. They were in their late 20s but when they saw those buildings get hit, they enlisted a week later. ..........and yes, they were White. But most of the people old enough to remember 9/11 that I talk to....like me...thought it was a movie when they first saw it on television. I remember coming out of the shower to get dressed and seeing the second plane hit and wondering what kind of movie this was. Katrina actually hit a little closer to home than 9/11 because I have so much family down in Louisiana and the aftermath of it was just sad.
