  1. Can't speak for others, but I "think" I know you well enough to presume that you're not an alcoholic. Atleast you're not posting pictures of yourself all over the internet drinking liquor half the time.....lol.
  2. If that's true......then why would you want to live it on the back of Prince's motorcycle??? 🧐 Anyway................... ProfD Right. I bet we'd never see pictures of YOU all over the internet riding on motorcycles with women on your back grabbing on your crotch. .....or pictures of YOU hanging out in gambling houses. No Because YOU don't seem like that type of person to glorify such behavior.
  3. @ProfD You sound like a confident brutha who doesn't need to go around "advertising" himself over the internet. You don't seem like somebody who likes to post images of himself grinning and grabbing on women in strange places....lol.
  4. Yeah.....wait until my man finds out what she's been doing with his images, lol. She better have a good lawyer....lol.
  5. Troy Here we go, exaggerating putting words in my mouth, I didn’t say anything about missing teeth Well shit, man...... If she's got flabby batwing arms, her grey hair is balding and falling out, and she's all wrinkled up looking like she spent half the day in a cold bath tub....missing teeth would be a given! I wouldn't expect for somebody in THAT condition you described, to have 2 full rows of healthy white teeth, lol. the point I’m making is people wanna see 50 year-old women who look like Shakira not Monique (the comedian). Nothing wrong with Monique but she looks more like the typical black woman her age than Shakira I agree with this statement. MOST PEOPLE would find Shakira more attractive than Mo'nique. However I actually would RATHER date and sleep with Mo'nique over Shakira. I'd feel more comfortable being around her. Doesn't matter how attractive a woman is, if I don't feel comfortable being around her for whatever reason........
  6. Ofcourse he does.....it brings back old memories! He remembers when you used to sit on the porch and holler out at his mother as they'd walk by when he WAS a baby....lol. Troy What's funny is I used to say the same thing about men texting, years ago. I didn't think it was very masculine to see some big hairy grown ass man sitting perched up on a chair giggling and tapping away on a phone with his thumbs. Now it's a common sight. Man, one of the worse ways a woman can insult me is to say in so many words that I'm boring or otherwise uninteresting. Instead of focusing on ME she'd rather call somebody up or start texting or scrolling. I'd rather have a full blown argument with her, than for that...lol. Sometimes I'll talk to women at work or in the public and if they yawn for any reason I take that shit personal. She could be just tired or have had a long day at work and is just winding down, but I'll take it as you not finding my conversation interesting. Maybe it's an esteem issue...lol. Mel Well, she's not my LEGAL stepchild because I'm not actually married to her mother; but I have "stepchildren" and my own children...lol. I rarely talk about them for a reason...going back to the subject of this very thread! There's a whole lot of personal information about myself that I "conveniently" leave out so that the people who don't need to know....won't. I can't speak for other men, but I know EXACTLY what I will and won't say online and why I will or won't say it. Much of it is strategic. Although I don't lie (though I do make mistakes) I will purposely omit certain things or not fully disclose certain detail about a person or event I'm discussing, all for the purposes of not putting too much of my business or theirs out in the street so that an enemy can use it. That's one of the reasons why you'll never see a picture of ME in a mirror taking selfies and checking my rear view....lol.
  7. That was the plan all along. Before Trump was re-elected I was telling people to WATCH and see who the "immigrants" are that his administration will go after. All this talk about building some damn "wall" at the border that hasn't been even been started on yet. Mexicans and other Central Americans are still flowing into the country. Their main goal is to curtail the growth of the BLACK population. Most of the PURE Native American population has been diluted or decimated so they don't consider them much of a threat. Most of the Latinos are racist mixed-breeds who hate their own Black and Brown skins so they are useful pawns. The first generation Black immigrants may often be hostile towards Black Americans but the second generations and onward blend right in with us and pretty much add to our political and social power.....so the racists seek to curtail their migration. This is why many believe this whole FBA movement is some sort of co-intel operation designed to sew discord and confusion in the Black community so that when they go after the African and Haitian immigrants...there won't be much backlash or challenge from Black Americans about it.
  8. Troy #1 ignore something called competition. If you’re competitors are using low wage labor and foreign companies and sell their products for half of what you were selling yours, you would not be in business very long. It's hard to ignore competition when they're taking your clientel, potential clients, and resources away from you. #2 I guess we could exploit the labor in those black countries as well, but then you’ll still be left with the same problem a loss of jobs in the United States It depends on the communities affected. If Black people owned the factories and could freely travel back and forth between the U.S. and Africa....then there would likely be NO LOSS of jobs in the Black communities of America and any losses would be among the Whites, Asians, and Latinos. I still have no interest in seeing the new Michael Jackson movie. You should. I think you'd like it. I didn't think I'd like it very much myself until I saw it. It's not the best movie in the world, but it's probably better than you'd expect for it to be. It explains a lot of his history that you ordinarily wouldn't have known about him. I was a little surprised to find out Michael Jackson used real gang members to make his "Beat It" video. The movie made we want to go back and listen to some of his music and watch some of his videos again with a better history and understanding of them. ProfD Of course, easier said than done back in those days when white folks had everything on lock. Before so-called "Integration" Black folks...especially own South....owned quite a few businesses! We owned hotels in almost every major city and I heard a few bruthas owned their own entire buslines! AG Gaston owned a lot. Black folks would have still been employees & susceptible to whatever the white owners decided to do. Owmership is the only way to insure security & build wealth. Facts. However, working for White folks is better than not working AT ALL. If White folks are going to own the factories and pay somebody to work, wouldn't you rather the poor and destitute in African nations get the opportunity over the poor and destitute of Mexico or China? I know you don't have any grave yard love for Africans, but still.....lol. Reads like the producer, script writers & Fuqua bought into the belief that Joe was a villian. Lol....I wonder they could have possibly gotten THAT idea from? Certainly not from the mouths of his own children saying it. There are degrees to selling out. Several factors influence it Joe was certainly villainized in this movie, but I'm not sure if I'd call this selling out to ANY degree. Unless you're suggesting that holding dysfunctional members of our community accountable and calling them to the carpet for their behavior....an act of "selling out". I don't support the idea of running to White folks and tattling every misdeed one of our brothers makes or setting them up to be targeted and punished by White folks; however WE need to hold OUR OWN accountable. Especially if we don't want the heavy hand of the White establishment to come in and do it in our stead. If a man is abusing his children or other children WE need to hold him accountable. Don't make excuses for it and let it go until White folks get wind of it and use that as an excuse to lock him up for 100 years. Afrika Bambaataa and R. Kelly are two examples of what happens with we fail keep our own in check.
  9. It's most certainly a gender thing. Not totally, but for the most part. It seems as if most women....even older mature women...don't seem to take their financial or personal safety seriously when it comes to online behavior. I warned my stepdaughter so many times about posting all of her information online years ago, she ignored my warnings and ended up with an ex-boyfriend who stalked her and took her through an ordeal. She told me I was right and after the drama with her ex was cleared up she started being more cautious....for maybe HALF A YEAR.....and then went right back to posting all of her shit on Meta and TikTok again! She's her own paparazzi.
  10. LOL....I was about to say. It seems that our brother needs to GET OUT of Florida if the 50 year old women down there are full of warts, balding with grey hair, bat wings, and no teeth in their mouth!!! Maybe all that sunlight and heat is drying them out and turning them into human prunes...lol. Come up here to Michigan and I can show you some BAD ass women in their 60s and 70s! I work with one sista from the Congo who is 63, a grand mother, 7 kids, no wrinkles, and not a stretch mark on her.....and I know, lol.
  11. Lol....what about me? Do I "read" you right???? Remember, I was the first to recognize and legitimize the words you invented......like "DOSer" and "Statian"...lol.
  12. ProfD How could Black folks as employees have stopped white company owners from outsourcing their businesses? Many of them couldn't go into that same factory job their parents worked because it was gone overseas. 2 points: 1. If we were properly organized, we would have bought atleast ONE of the big three automakers as well as many of the other steel and coke factories that many of our people were gainfully employeed in for decades and they would have been a legacy of good jobs to leave to our children and grand children. Infact, instead of buying them we should have risen as high as we could in those jobs and learned the in's and out's of them so that we could have built OUR OWN car, beverage, steel, and other factories! That's what people who know how to think ahead usually do! 2. If we were REALLY properly organized.....instead of Mexico and China.....we would have convinced the owners of some of these factories to move them to places like Haiti or countries in Africa where they could not only employ the people of those countries as well as move to those nations ourselves to help manage those factories. But again, that's too far ahead for many of our people's thought processing. Katherine Jackson stayed with Joe for a long time. Long after she had more than enough money to leave him. From what I understand, she's a nice woman...religious woman...and somewhat old fashioned. A lot of women will stay even with the most no good men not just for the money but because they feel it's the "right" thing to do. Stand by your man. Sure. But, we shouldn't allow white media to turn a good Black father into a villain. 100! I think this movie villanizes Joe pretty good...lol....and actually made Mike's White/Whitish? bodyguard look like the good guy. However guess who directed it? Antoine Fuqua Mr. Denzel Mr. Equalizer himself....lol. I'd hardly call him a sell out.
  13. I don't know if I'd call it genius over just being typical men....lol Most men like to keep a low profile. Many of us have learned....whether it was from dating, working, or highschool homies....that the less personal information people know about you the less "ammunition" they have if they ever decide to come at you, lol. I'm constantly getting on the females in my family about posting all of their business on social media. Posting their pictures. Posting their activities. Posting their full name and family history. Posting their children's pictures. Posting pictures of their new house or new car. Posting from their job letting everybody know where they work. Posting themselves in their underwear. Posting themselves laying in bed with a cold. Just putting out ALL of their information. I've warned them over and over again to stop putting all of their business out in the street like that, but most of them don't listen UNTIL something happens and they end up regretting it. They act like their can't possibly be some creepy mofo sitting in a dark room eating mushy frootloops with chocolate milk and building a profile of them to be his next stalking victim. The thought of it NEVER crosses their minds. Now about that photo........... 🤔 -Seems like I saw somebody who looks JUST LIKE her....in LL Cool J's "Around The Way Girl" video....lol.
  14. The Republican Governor Mitt Romney instituted the same healthcare system in Massachusetts years before. "Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney made a rare public appearance in Boston on Monday to celebrate his signature health care law, which later became a liability during his unsuccessful run for president. The 2006 law extended health insurance to nearly all Massachusetts residents by expanding eligibility for Medicaid, the jointly funded federal and state program that provides health coverage to low-income residents. The law also provided subsidized private plans for people who purchase their own insurance and mandated many employers offer insurance. Today, more than 97% of Massachusetts residents have health insurance, though rising costs remain a pressing concern. The law served as the model for the controversial federal health care overhaul under President Barack Obama in 2010." Romney returns to Mass. 20 years after 'Romneycare' passage | WBUR News It's really a right-wing healthcare plan because it pretty much FORCES you to buy health insurance from private companies and doesn't even offer you an option to choose coverage from the government. This is a wet-dream for Big Pharma and they had been lobbying Congress for something like this for years if not decades. Most Liberals and Democrats were trying to move us AWAY from private Insurance companies and taking the profit motive and incentive away, not FORCING people into it under penalty of law. ....although there is no real financial penalty attached to not having health insurance anymore. I have to day that the Democratic leadership actually sold out on this one and it's obvious. For a good 4 years Obama had the Whitehouse AND both the House and Senate were Democrat controlled; there was no excuse for us to not pass a Universal Healthcare plan.
  15. Nothing wrong with factory work as long as it pays well. I'm not just saying that because I work in a warehouse.....lol.....I actually mean it. Sometimes people overlook the obvious. Joe Jackson SUPPORTED HIS FAMILY....a family of nearly 10 people....from a FACTORY JOB! Ofcourse you can make a lot more money IF you become a famous celebrity, but people who are able to achieve this are very few and far in between. We know about the successes....but how many have failed and fallen into destitution chasing that dream? How many people with Bachelor Degrees can support a family of even 4 or 5 today? Let's not overlook the obvious..... Back in the day you used to hear people who were millionaires or otherwise very successful talk about how their fathers pushed them and their siblings to get an education or be excellent at what they do so they don't have to work hard in a factory like them. But they were ABLE to work at a factory....because those jobs were available back then! Now many of those factory jobs are GONE. Now where are they working? Many people are locked up behind bars, homeless, or otherwise unemployed WISHING they could work in a factory and make some money like their parents or grandparents did....but don't have that option. I grew up in a neighborhood where most of the parents were working at car factories and the children all had big dreams about this and that, but they all agreed they DIDN'T want to work at a factory. Now half of them (those who are still alive) are unemployed, locked up, on drugs, or working low wage non-union jobs. A handful are what we'd call successful. Black people should have focused on keeping those factory jobs in America instead of letting them be shipped overseas. But a lot of our people were lazy and were too focused on "get rich quick" shit like being an entertainer, sports star, or some big time "Superfly" dope dealer. Anything but waking up early in the morning and taking their ass to work for a decent weeks pay. As far as Joe Jackson...... It's hard to say whether or not he was a good father because yes he pushed for his children to become successful and kept them out of the streets and supported them. That's what a father is SUPPOSED to do anyway. But I heard he was an abusive womanizer as well. Perhaps the problem is the standard or bar of what it means to be a "good father" has been lowered so much in our community that any nigga who sticks around and feeds his kids is considered "good"...lol. But I'll leave 'ole Joe alone....lol. Whatever happened with them is between him and the rest of the Jackson family.
  16. Troy If Shakira was your run-of-the-mill 50 years old, who would want to see that? ME I actually prefer the natural look to the artificial made-up look that Hollywood promotes. I'm not saying I'd prefer some broken down old hag who looks like she just survived a nuclear holocaust; but if a woman is 50 years old and nothing is sagging on her, no cellulite, and no grey hair....I'd be a little insecure (yes I admit it) about being with her anyway. She looks too young and I'd be constantly concerned with too much competition from other men trying to snatch her up. She'd have to have atleast SOMETHING about her physically that says she's over 40 and ripe for the picking....lol.
  17. Well they better be careful. Remember the Dodgers USED to be in New York before relocating toe L.A. Let's see how many New Yorkers will love ANY sports team in L.A. if the Knicks end up moving there....lol.
  18. So do I. And it's affordable, but not the best. I think the quality of what was offered has declined since it was first offered. When you go to the Market Place they have a bunch of plans available that don't offer very good coverage and in some cases aren't even accepted by some hospitals and doctors. It's a mess. And it looks as if it was designed to put a cap on people's wealth because the more money you make the lower your credits are for discounts on it. It's actually a Republican plan! Democrat constituents and many politicians actually WERE pushing for Universal Healthcare or atleast a single payer system, not some watered down Republican plan that pretty much FORCES you to buy health insurance from a private organization. Remember the "public option" that Obama got rid of? You said that there was a difference between Democratic Socialism and Socialism itself. I don't want to call myself lazy....lol...but so I won't have to go digging up a bunch of articles and essays full of nuances and word salads to compare and contrast the two.....could YOU kindly explain the difference to me in a nut shell? richard murray You MUST have been digging to go way back to 2016 to find that quote from me....lol. I forgot I said all of that. But I'm consistent, because I agree with every word of it....lol. You KNOW you must have touched a nerve if you managed to draw Mel out of her hiding place screaming at you with a broom stick in her hand, lol.
  19. I can think of 2 "possible" reasons and one definite reason right off the bat.......... 1. Jay Z doesn't have a reputation for affiliating himself with Minister Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam like Michael had. 2. Jay Z hasn't angered the Jewish American elite the way Michael had at times. * Jay Z is just plain "street smarter" than Michael. He knows people....Black and White...and how to play them and NOT end up getting played. He knows WHO to fuck with and who NOT to fuck with. He also knows and understands the price tag that comes with everything he seeks and weighs his willingness to pay it against how bad he really wants it.
  20. Yeah, clearly Michael was very sensitive. I get the sense that it may have just been "in" him to be so soft and sensitive but on the other hand he never really got to enjoy a normal functional childhood. He was forced to behave as an adult since he was 6 or 7....which meant a lot of faking and no actual maturity and emotionally/social growth. No doubt, his father shared in atleast SOME of his dysfunctionality, because it wasn't just Michael but his other siblings. Look at Janet and how she got her nose done! ...but growing up in a racist society that told them that unless their skin was light, hair was straight, and nose was thin.....that they were ugly, carries the bulk of the blame.
  21. Troy The NBA recruits played from all over the globe today. Would you prefer to restrict the talent to just American players? Actually, YES....I would. If you look at most of the star players....they're FBA anyway. So if all of the foreign immigrant players were eliminated from the teams it wouldn't make much of a difference. Also, while the Black population is growing our percentage of the population has been decreasing since the 1790 census Most of that is due to immigration. ProfD There is no reason that a Black-owned mega-company cannot have a majority Black labor force. Oh there's a reason for it....lol. We may not LIKE the reason why so many Black owned companies don't have a majority Black labor force, but there is definitely a REASON why. I've heard the "reason" quite a few times. One rather unforgettable time was back about 20 something years ago when I was down South in the Carolinas and got into an argument with a brutha who owned a construction company and told me he preferred hiring Mexicans. We really went at it, but thinking back on it today....I realize how silly I sounded vehemently arguing with the man over what was best for HIS own business.
  22. There's a reason for that. When it comes to operating INDUSTRIES.....like car factories, steel plants, and even agriculture......it takes actual WORK. You have to take stock of material, hire employees, make sure they're producing, make sure the product is quality, and do a lot of math to make sure you're making a profit and paying people properly. That's a lot of MENTAL work and responsibility!
  23. Troy Now you KNOW you didn't really have to post that video....lol. I think you were just trying to show off and was looking for any opportunity to post it. You probably were showing off even back in your school days, and that's why that one cat got angry with you and tried to steal your flute and ran off with it. Talking about he was "just playing" when you caught up with him, lol. Anyway..... Finally, 49 is not THAT old man. Now I won't say 49 is the new 30, but you should not be broken down at that age. Here is a video of me at 49. Ofcourse 49 isn't old, but it's well within what we'd call "middle age". Shakira is attractive no doubt, but she doesn't look like what a typical middle aged woman (of any race) looks like. It's an unrealistic image being promoted. As for YOU, still being able to do that at 49 is certainly a wonderful feat. Actually, being able to do that at ANY age is remarkable! I met a few gymnasts and they had muscles like steel cables. Thanks for reminding us of your Youtube channel btw.... I forgot AALBC even had one. You need to start doing lives.
  24. 🤔 What I'd like to know is why is a woman from Los Angeles celebrating a New York Knicks victory????
