  1. Troy Sorry for the misunderstanding. You said you prefer Latina/Latino over Latinx but Latinx is only ONE word while Latino/Latina is two....lol. Yes, I know much of the pressure for this came from the LBTGQIA (and add more letters if you like...lol) activists; however just because it came from a group I generally don't agree with doesn't necessarily mean all of their ideas are bad. For example I'm not not a Conservative, I consider myself Liberal....but I believe in LESS government and regulation.
  2. They CLAIM the virus has already mutated several times; so it's already changing up.
  3. Troy Lol..... I didn't know the Washington Post was owned by Amazon. It basically points out the hypocrisy of the Administration and how THEY are trying to secure masks for themselves while downplaying and minimizing the need for others to use PPE. Just like they've been minimizing the need for testing the public while at the same time ramping up testing for THEMSELVES.....especially after so many of Trump's staff have recently been infected with the virus. And again....... They are stressing wearing the masks not so much in preventing you from inhaling the virus....although the less of it you inhale the less likely you will be infected....but wearing the mask prevents YOU from spreading so much of it by sneezing, coughing, or talking if YOU are infected. It may not be perfect, but most of the medical experts agree that any little bit will help. Why do you think so many people have been on the Administration officials' asses lately for NOT wearing masks in meetings and other engagements?
  4. No shade to this book, which I'm sure will do great............. However I'm trying to figure out the psychology behind why so much sexual activity in this society revolves around "sneaking around"? What is is about lying and "cheating" that turns so many people on? I've decided to start a thread on the subject to get other views on why this is: https://aalbc.com/tc/topic/6495-sex-sin-and-psychological-dysfunction-among-some-afroamericans/
  5. After reviewing so many of the novels that are written I've come to the conclusion that there is some sort of mass psychological desire for illicit and "nasty" sexual activity in this society. Especially among a lot of women. Not just regular sex, but illicit and what may be deemed as socially unacceptable sex seem to be the MOST desired among some. I'm trying to figure out the psychology behind why so much sexual activity in this society revolves around "sneaking around"? What is is about lying and "cheating" that turns so many people on? Is "honest fucking" just plain boring to most? Not to me. But I'm not the most attractive man in the world so I guess I've grown up appreciating the opportunities I DO get to have sex....lol. Ugly dudes can't be too picky and unless they have a lot of money usually don't have the luxury to "try something new" every week in different locations for excitement. Banging the single mother 2 floors down while her children are at school is "exciting" enough for me....lol. Although there are married women I've found attractive, I don't have sex with vowedly married women. But there are a lot of our people who are married and routinely cheat on their spouses without thinking twice about it and one of my arguments is why in the hell did you get married in the first place if you knew he/she weren't going to be the only one you slept with? This is twenty first century America......not fourtheenth century Iran; nobody put a sword to your head and FORCED you to get married. So why do it when you KNOW you aren't going to be committed? Sex itself isn't wrong.....it's natural; but I believe LYING is. And I don't like how this society tries to FORCE people to do the wrong thing like lying and cheating and sneaking around on eachother when it's just as easy and LEGAL to simply be honest with eachother and agree to have sex with whomever you want whenever you want. I know most women wouldn't care too much for this, however I have to wonder how much of their opposition to this is due to natural instinct and how much is do to social indoctrination. Back to my original observation...... It seems like a lot of our people find JOY in sex only when they have to hide it, sneak around, and lie about it as opposed to being open with their behavior. I've thought about this over the years and have come to the conclusion that many of our people really do believe in the White Supremacist Christian teachings that they are the children of Cain or Canaan and are "black and evil". And because of this believe they feel that is is their ROLE to lie, steal, cheat, commit adultery, even kill. If you really believe you're evil by nature then subconsciously you feel you're not doing the "right" thing uless you're engaging in what you believe to be the "wrong" things. I put right and wrong in quotes because most of what we feel are right and wrong is a matter of subjectivity. But the point is if many of our people have been taught that it's wrong and THINK it's wrong (even if it's not really wrong) they will engage in it out of a subconscious desire to be "bad" and fullfill their role as a devil and evil seed of Cain.....as they were taught. I can actually type out ten pages of posts about this subject (seriously.....with all of the observations and experiences I've had over the years I could bang out 400 more posts or 10 pages of posts the same size as THIS original one on this very subject...lol) but I don't want to seem like I'm rambling so before I go into more details I'd like to read what others have to say. Does any of this make sense to any of you?
  6. Xeon Lol... Where DO you get such confidence in AfroAmericans? Do you sit around all day listening to Farrakhan lectures? Troy Well right now all they're talking about in the media are vaccines. They aren't talking about how to actually kill the virus itself (well.....The Donald mentioned a few methods for killing the virus that I don't think it's wise to even repeat out of concern some fool may decide to try it) and CURE people. That's not even being discussed by them. They are talking about the various vaccines that have been developed and who will be the first gineau pigs for them to be tested on. All of these hundreds and probably thousands of laboratories around the United States and world doing all of this research and yet scientists claim they can't even kill the virus that causes the common cold.
  7. Troy Lol..... I'm sure you KNOW you didn't just make up the word "Latinx". It's what's called a gender neutral term that can be used for both males and females. Not sure if you know this already but Español is heavily genderized with most words categorized as "male" or "female". Even some words having NOTHING to do with sex or gender are still genderized as either male or female. The word "Latino" is one of them. If you're talking about a Hispanic male you would say Latino....using an "o" at the end. But if you're talking about a Hispanic female you would say Latina...using an "a" at the end. But the interesting thing about Español is if you're talking about BOTH males and females then you would use the term "Latino" because the male gender has historically been considered the standard and most important. So I guess this generation came up with the term "Latinx" with an "x" at the end so that neither gender is prioritized. I personally think it's a move in the right direction. I'm not into men turning into women or women turning into men but I believe BOTH should be treated fairly with equal justice. Anyway....... If you have nothing better to do you should listen to the interview because as "stereotypical" as she may seem with her exaggerated behavior and afro, she certainly dropped quite a few jewels in the conversation. Some people said that Charlamagne was probably just trolling her or there may have even been some sexual friction between the two going on that we don't know about.....lol...but his ignorance should be ignored.
  8. I see the X-man is sliding through the 'hood........ Xeon I don't see anything currently nor in the future that is going to change any of it Well I do. While some of our people are casually strolling down the street munching on bags of doritos and sucking down soda pops grinning away without a care in the world....... Destiny is waiting for them around the corner with a baseball bat.
  9. I came across this video a couple days ago and I was so focused on the sheer BEAUTY of this young lady, it took about 5 minutes to listen to what she had to say about her struggles as a dark skinned AfroLatina not just in the United States but even in the Hispanic entertainment industry. Poor brutha Charlamagne........ Judging by many of the ignorant comments he was making.....lol....rather than being enlightened, I think this interview just added to his confusion. Troy, having come from New York and now living in Florida I'm sure you've met THOUSANDS of Black Hispanics. Judging not just by the interview this beautiful young lady just gave but just based on the dozens of conversations I've had with different AfroLatinos over the years......they seem to be VERY frustrated at their STILL lack of representation in the media and other segments of society. I'm sure continental African outreach has crossed your mind, but have you ever thought about building a forum specifically for Afro-Latino literature or pursuing Afro-Latino authors for interviews? There doesn't seem to be a huge platform for them anywhere.
  10. Troy One of the reasons Black children got a better education in the past even though there was less technology available to them is because of 2 things: 1. You had a lot of teachers (of all races) who ACTUALLY CARED about teaching children. This is why many of them became teachers in the first place; because they actually loved teaching people. Unlike today where a lot of people choose to be teachers because they have a degree and can't get the job they REALLY want so settle as teachers as a last resort. Not all ofcourse, but many....too many. 2. A major reason why so many AfroAmerican children get a better education when they are around other AfroAmerican children is for the same reason so many AfroAmerican students do better in HBCUs more so than when they go to Caucasian universities......because they have motivation to do so. It raises your self esteem when you're around more of your own people who look like you and share the same values. When you're around people you can relate to and have fun with and are vibing at a similar level you actually LIKE going to school!!!!
  11. You can study it, but as I advised earlier....you should focus more on Dravidian or Tamil astrology as it's much older.
  12. Troy I hear what you're saying, however how does what you AND the Surgeon General are stressing about how ineffective the masks are square with what Governors and community health officials all over the nation are requiring that people wear masks in public? If masks are NOT effective, why are so many community officials requiring them? And according to THIS article...... https://www.washingtonpost.com/ While the federal government is telling YOU that you don't need a mask they are running around like crazy securing them for THEMSELVES! It seems as if mixed messages are being sent to the public.
  13. I'm knowledgeable enough to know there are grammatical errors in that statement.....lol. In light of recent events, I may have to "review" my consideration of you for the position.
  14. Old or new, the question is does it work. You'd be surprised at how many times calling a woman "scrumptious" has worked......lol. Old Spice cologne is OT like a mug, but a lot of women still like it....lol. Troy I used to think it didn't matter. Now I understand that wearing masks not only LIMIT (key word) the amount of viral particles you may be exposed to but also if everyone is wearing a mask it's quite effective in preventing those with the virus from spreading it beyond themelves.
  15. Troy Alright, I may have to walk back my statement about Bernie talking over the heads of people. I admit I don't listen to him much....because I don't trust him....so I can't say this. As far as Obama, even when he was running people were worried that he was so smart and used such educated language that the masses of people wouldn't be able to relate to him or understand what he's saying. This perception of him was maintained through out his Presidency. https://prospect.org/power/obama-aloof-sure.-matter-no./ https://www.nationalbcc.org/news/beyond-the-rhetoric/1181-our-president-is-aloof Even HE recognized that this perception of him was pretty pervasive and said it troubled him..... https://www.npr.org/2018/06/05/617091665/obama-staffer-looks-back-on-his-white-house-years-it-can-take-a-real-toll Do you mean the dems should appeal to the unwashed masses by blatantly lying to them? No. But speak plainly and in more general terms. For example, if you are a Democrat and are running for office and you believe that your Republican opponent is a gun toting racist......SAY THAT. Tell your base that the Repubican party is a racist right wing party and want to lock up Blacks and deport Browns. Now YOU Troy may be laughing at what I just said right now however you know that that statement about Republicans in general is fundamentaly true AND the masses of poor people and people of color will definately understand this! What the hell is: "Well, my opponent doesn't believe in diversity and supports unfair immigration laws!" What kinda shit is that? Diversity? Unfair laws? Most poor and half educated (or in many cases uneducated) people don't know what the fuck you're talking about! Speak to them PLAINLY and motivate them (or scare them) to get their asses out and vote for you! This is something Republicans have gotten good at doing over the past 40 years or so since Reagan. It's not about lying but about properly selling whatever program you're pushing. But when it comes to poor and working class people....you have to call a spade a spade and speak in GENERALITIES; something most educated people have been taught NOT to do.
  16. Troy Yeah, I was going to ask you were you talking about Dr. Umar Johnson but Del claimed it first. My example of AfroAmericans building their own educational institutions wouldn't be Dr. Umar Johnson so much as it would be the Nation of Islam and the various Muhammad University of Islam schools they have scattered all over the nation. Having no straight Black male teachers AND all of the injustices mistreatement that you were dealt as an AfroAmerican male should be enough to make you wish that NO other AfroAmerican boy experiences what you did.
  17. Is it me, or does it seem like wearing those masks make many women look more attractive? Just going to the grocery store gets me worked up now as I see dozens of women of all ages rolling around with masks on and I'm seeing one set of pretty eyes after another. Even women I'm intimate with and am already attracted to, when I see them with that mask on it's like meeting someone new for the first time....lol. It reminds me of those old television shows when a man invades an Arabian harem and sees a bunch of women laying around half naked with mask on. All you see is a pair of pretty eyes batting and staring at you. A couple of other brothers have mentioned the same thing to me when I brought it to their attention.
  18. Troy He didn't threaten me directly, he was too smart for that. But like many negroes do when they get angry he talked OF violence and how he COULD be violent.....lol. Typical foolish behavior you see online when the emotions come out, which is why we must be careful. Some White Supremist could watch 2 fools go at it and take advantage of the situation by commiting an act against one and the public would assume it was just 2 Black folks fighting eachother! As for our people getting our own schools.....YOU sir...can make that happen.
  19. Yes, Bernie DOES talk over the heads of most people but that's not why he doesn't get enough support. Most people just don't think he can seriously become president. As for Obama, YES he did talk over the heads of most people and a lot of people actually criticized him for being aloof and too cerebral as compared to Bush. But people hated Bush so much it propelled Obama's Caucasian support into the Whitehouse and most AfroAmericans supported him....not because they completely understood what he was saying but because he was a fellow AfroAmerican who wasn't a brainwashed Conservative Republican.
  20. Troy Is this what you are trying to say? No, that's what YOU are saying when you support theories like Evolution....lol. I'm saying that the laziness and self-hated that many of our people suffer from isn't from genetics but from hundreds if not thousands of years of being miseducated and SPOILED. That's right....SPOILED. A bad parent will spoil a child to the point that they never really grow up to be independant and self-sufficient, and this is what living under Caucasian rulership has done to many Africans not just in the United States but around the world. I'm almost sure this is one of the major reasons why the West may hate African nations but insist on continuing to give them billions of dollars in so-called financial, food, and medical aid. So that they don't learn to take care of themselves.
  21. Troy If you want to put some money in MY pocket....... Build that school, make me Senior Professor (along with Delano as my trusted side-kick & paper-passer-outter) , and put me on a steady salary......lol. On a real tip, I don't know Tim Wise personally or interact with him enough to invite him anywhere. There ARE people that I know personally who would make great contributors to the conversations we engage in in this forum, but as I've said over the years I try to keep my online life and my REAL life seperate as much as I can. The battle me and K2 had a few....years has it been????...ago is an example of why it's not good to share your personal information with people you meet on highly opinionated forums. All it takes for things to go south is a few cross words and next thing you know threats are being made. I've recommended the site in general to a lot of AfroAmericans I know.....especially the authors and poets. And to my suprise many already knew about you even before I mentioned you! But as far as the discussion forums that I may frequent on this and other sites, I don't talk about them.
  22. Troy No these people are not civilized if they continue to believe this stuff and act upon these beliefs. They are the exact opposite to civilized they are barbarian. Political postions, money, and power does not make you civilized. Is 45 civilized? They are highly civilized. ...Immoral ...Diabolical ....but still civil, towards eachother. I keep trying to tell people like I said about G.W. Bush.....don't play Trump cheap. He's not stupid NOR is he a fool. He talks the way he talks and acts the way he acts to CONNECT with his base that he needs for support. Caucasian Democrats could learn a lesson or two from the Republicans on how to connect with the average American they CLAIM they're in office to help instead of talking and behaving in such a high-brown manner and speaking over the heads of the average American.
  23. Troy Now you just talking crazy LOL! Lol.....only just now? had it ever occurred to you that most of the time all the law enforcement jobs you talking about Black being too lazy to get -- we were excluding from being hired into them until our generation. That's not historically true. Since the 70s in most major U.S. cities AfroAmerican men have had a decent opportunity to become law enforcement officers. Many have taken advantage of that opportunity and joined the force, but many more haven't. We aren't fighting to get on the force or change the laws at nearly the level we should be. And even if I were to concede to your point about Black men being excluded from law enforcement jobs until recently.... what about now? What's keeping so many hundreds of thousands of AfroAmerican men from joining the force and more importantly demanding change to a system that is clearly targetting them today? There are a lot of AfroAmericans working as prison guards for a racist prison system that is locking up their own friends and family members so simply joining isn't the entire solution either. Again, too many don't want the responsibility of governing themselves or their community and would rather leave that up to "them white folks"; but then turn around and cry about how "them white folks" treat them when Caucasians DO what Caucasians do. There are many Black men who were destroyed by the school system. You expect these very same dudes to have the wherewithal to start an educational institution. Which is all the more reason for us to build OUR OWN institutions! Examples like the ones you gave are common across all of America. I remember when we used to raise our hand to answer questions in class that the teachers stopped calling on me when my voice started changing and got deeper. Even Malcolm X mentioned the discrimination you faced in school. This has been going on for decades. We know that most Caucasians (male and female) don't have a vested interest in AfroAmerican children getting a proper education so they can grow up and compete with THEIR children.....we've BEEN known this. So again, what's the excuse for these victimized Black males NOT to exodus the public educational system in large numbers and develop their own schools? Same reason I gave for the police force...... Too lazy to do so. Lack of desire to take responsibility for the education of their own children and would rather Caucasians MIS-educate them than take matters in their own hands. Man, you know I'm right. You know MOST (not all) AfroAmerican men and women don't want to be bothered trying to teach THEIR OWN children let alone a class room full of other AfroAmerican children. It's sad and it's a shame.....but you know it's true. If you want to know why I'm so hard on our people, it's because this society has destroyed the morality and even the very humanity of too many of our people to an unbelievable level. You may not believe this but if a law were to be passed right now that parents no longer have to support or take care of their own children beyond the age of 3 years old- Man....what you'd see in the streets of Black America would make you get on your knees and cry. Laziness is just the tip of the iceberg. It's more than JUST laziness, it's a self-hatred and lack of desire to even take care of our own that is really at the heart of these problems.
  24. Troy Thanks????? If the idea meant THAT much to you then you can thank me by putting some CASH in my hand (with gloves on ofcourse)....lol.
  25. Troy I never read the Origin of Species, so I don't know if he was spewing racist propoganda, but if he was a man of his time he probably was. In any event the average 12th grader, from a half way descent school, knows more about genetics than Darwin possibly could. Why linger on 19th century ideas today? Well the title alone speaks volumes even if you never opened the book. If the title talks about "favored races" then that in itself suggests racism. But the reasons why point out the Theory of Evolution's racist origins is important today is because most of the so-called civilized educated world BELIEVES in it! And they either consciously or subconsciously believe that Africans are inferior in part BECAUSE of this theory. You keep trying to separate the theory from it's racist origins, but you can't. Consider the gene that results in a sickness like sickle cell. If the person with sickle cell is a genius does that make him superior or inferior to a dumb person without sicke cell? Some would argue that sickle cell anemia isn't really a sickness but natures way of fighting malaria. According to science, it was found mostly among West Africans in a region where those who DIDN'T have the sickle cell trait would often die of malaria. But in my opinion a genius IS intellectually superior to a dumb person.
