I read a few comments after this article, and some feel that this punishment was too harsh. Some say, that the public does not have all the details. But one of the most interesting comment, IMO, was the one that asked the question regarding the police and their decision to ignore a barricade and drive past it... as a result, two White Women in the back seat of the police car were killed due to the flooding in Hurricane Florence. Thesw women were supposed to be transported to another place for the mentally ill. The poster commented that, the police were not charged, and suggest the 'racial bias' in this situation.

Well, I believe that his 'researchers', as usual, are to make sure this kind of situation would not backfire, but apparently, they just did not care, perhaps explited this family because they wanted ratings. The older sister was not given the information, by the family, to exclude her, but it should not have went that way. @Troy I agree, however, Dr Phil wanted to exploit this family and to make it 'go viral' and he is supposed to be a professional, not some average citizen posting this on facebook. This story is just not important enough to 'go viral' in my opinion, so, they called Dr. PHil . . . and he felt the need to help this story get out there . . . Yes, I too believe that it will only get worse. Wasn't Dr. PHil sponsored by Oprah? I vaguely remember years back, that he would come on her show periodically before he had his on show. I suppose Oprah heard about him in that he was really good, but, I eventually became tired of watching talk shows, and avoided them like the plague.

@Troy I did not know he said that! yes, it seems like people are listening to advice from Trump. This is how I feel though: I believe that this maybe a repeat of history in that propaganda is used to start a movement thta otherwise would never happen. It is a painfully emotional situation though because, this is not how I was raised and to witness a leader incite these kinds of racial situations in my lifetime is shocking. It is normal to believe that there is integrity in all walks of life, so how do we, as humans, accept the kind of abnormal behavior that is going on right now? On the contrary, that deranged shooter, a White man, responded this way, but that White womans behavior, is absolutely connected. Racism and White Supremacy is not just coming from White men. I hope you saw the other two viral stories that just happened a few days ago about two other White women that acted in the same way that KEY FOB KELLY did. One White woman confronted two Black woman, and told them, in so many words, that they did not belong in that apartment community. The other news reported that a White woman put something in a mailbox stating that her community was White, suggesting that she did not want Blacks living there. And then the case you shared about the man that shot at a young school teenager in Detroit was instigated by his wife. There are so many other White people, men and women that do not deserve to be categorized with these kinds of people, because they too, would never go along with this; Make America Great Again approach. Trump is certainly bending the media in a certain way. This is terrible.

yeah, I eventually got tired of watch the Maury Show and all his attempts to 'find the baby daddy'... and then there was/is the Jerry Springer show and all of the fights that broke out on stage and etc. Once in a 'blue moon' I watched Dr. PHil. @Pioneer1 I think it has something to do with her family environment. I guess you could say that I am 'X-generation' and I do not understand the 'Y-generation' so, maybe these young people are being confused due to other happenings that the X-generation did not have. I dunno. It's hard for me to see past her family circle.

But, I think this is not easy to process under the law. But yes, I think that there should be some kind of consequence to this situation here. I posted the videos at the start of this thread. That is why I doubted my assessment after your first comment in this thread! You alluded to the young man NOT having a key fob, so I assumed that I had mis-heard and responded to you that I didn't realize that he did NOT have a key fob, so I went back and relooked and then responded to you later, that I did confirm. He did have a key fob. So, based on your comment that you 'did not realize that she called the police', I gave you the benefit of the doubt and, assumed that I had mis-heard that part too. So I went back and had to confirm. Yeah, well you made it clear that you think this topic that I posted is 'stupid'; that is intimidating, because this topic went viral and was broadcasted in a significant news program, not just People Magazine. @Troy You keep asking about 'the police response' and I continue to answer: My response is, the police came to his door, I think. Because, from what I remember, she did call the police. Then, I think the video I posted said the police, left and did not feel the need to arrest him. I'm not sure, But since you keep asking, I will listen to the video again. My response was this though: This is NOT about the police, but it is about the White woman that called the police. I asked you this: Does the police have to 'be negative' in order for you to see the actions of the White woman? It is NOT about the police, it is about her and other white women that have recently called the police on Black people, ... for nothing, but they wanted the police to come out and do something to what they believed. @Troy I was addressing your previous statement in that you believe 'slavery' and overt racism is a thing of the past. I countered your statement with this recent publication, and now you call it 'over-reacting. You are the one that made that statement. I cannot debate that? You said that you did not realize that this woman called the police, and so, can I debate that point, without being attacked as if I am over-reacting? Troy, for you to selectively NOT here that point, seems alarming to me. For you to think that us Black folk are NOT being subjected to overt racism seems alarming to me. For you to think that the police would have to arrest this man for this situation to be significant, seems alarming to me. Troy, there was a recent book published by a White man and his book revolves around how today, it is much worse for many Black people due to the CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM that used the Constitution to criminalize Black men. I just heard it for the first time recently in that the Constitution has some type of clause and allows for slavery and punishment by enslavement based on crime and this man writes, that this was the process used against Blacks specifically. Have you heard about this? If I can find that book, I will share. This is new to me, so I am not sure, though.

I LIVED IN ST. LOUIS FOR MONTHS IN 2017, and I can tell you the atmosphere and racial tension is extreme! I initially did NOT believe my relative prior to moving there in his assessment, but experienced it for myself, and am ashame to say now, that he was right and I believe him only because I was there. He said that when he would go to the park, he was being stocked aggresively. He said that old white people came up behind him as he was sitting near the lake and told him they did NOT want his kind there and 'to go back to Africa'. He told me that when he drove to the park and parked where there was no one nearby, a White woman drove up behind him and stopped and did not leave and ten minutes later, he took a picture of her and sent it to me! HIGHWAY K is the parrallel area near to St. Louis, and it is predominantly 'all white' and the parks are visited by mostly 'all white' and a lot of East Indians live there too, but they are also racially profiled, heavily. The church I went to, the pastor even said, repeatedly that this was 'an evil city'. The strip malls look terrible in certain areas in St. Louis, but Hwy K and the other 'white areas' are clean and beautiful. And most of the White people work the fast foods and restaurants, and they seem to make a living doing these kind of 'hand out jobs', you know, like the one that woman had when she felt so confident to screen the Black man at the condo. I went to a park nearby hwy k, and was surprised at the atmosphere myself. Although, I had some amazing people mostly White men, be very friendly towards me. A kind word in the midst of so much hatred, makes my day.

@Troy She had been separated from her husband for over a year! She was bitter and may have lashed out at this Black man based on this very reason! It was none of her business what he was doing, she should have moved out the the way, and then if he did piggy back on her, she could have notified someone. What woman in her right mind would confront a man that early in the morning! that was just crazy to me.
