  1. ProfD As a Black man 1st and AfroAmerican, I don't believe the US should be more involved to the point of meddling in African affairs. As a Black man also, I don't believe ANY nation outside of Africa should be meddling in African affairs. I'm not going to just pick on the U.S. when China, Russia, and the Arab countries are just as guilty and have been trying to get a stronger and stronger foothold in Africa for decades if not centuries. However as a Black man IN America who is also a Pan-Africanist and well read global affairs as well as African history, I would rather a nation with SOME Black influence like the U.S. have a stronger presence in Africa than for a nation like Russia or China with almost NO Black people...let alone successful Black people who care about Africa...to increase their hold. It's best to be OFF the plantation, but since you have to choose one.....which "massa" is going to whip you less and put more butter on your biscuits?
  2. ProfD For several reasons, the Democratic party chose not to go that route. Instead they played the poker hand dealt and came up short on the river That's my point, they played the hand DEALT to them instead of doing the dealing THEMSELVES or better yet choosing the time, place, and the GAME ITSELF. They choose Harris because she was next in line. A logical linear choice, but not a STRATEGIC one! Really it was one of emotion. Choosing Biden OR Harris is a choice of EMOTION. The DNC didn't want to hurt their feelings by telling the both of them that NEITHER was qualified to destroy the Trump MAGA Movement and they'd have to groom and pick someone with a much better chance of doing so for 2024. So they just went with Biden, then Harris.
  3. For some, the fear of isolation and public humiliation is much stronger than the courage and desire to stand on your principles. Where some see disadvantage however....others see opportunity.
  4. ProfD Hopefully they don't walk away thinking you're some crazy old dude yelling at clouds Would you believe that many of them smile (a genuine smile...not a "this nigga must be a little touched let me hurry UP and get the fuck away from him" smile..lol) and actually come back for MORE conversation and perspective or to tell me that I was RIGHT about something. They also say that they almost never hear other Black man say they are bothered by this. I'm usually the first and some women even say I'm the ONLY Black man who ever said this. Both African AND Black American women tell me this, by the way. They are used to Black men being jealous of EACHOTHER but they rarely hear a Black man speak about not wanting Black women with White or Arab men. Honestly, when I look in their eyes I truly think many of them are honored that a Black man actually cares so much about them that he's actually jealous. Believe it or not, some women actually see jealousy and possessiveness as an attractive and masculine trait..as long as it's not taken too far.
  5. ProfD Times change especially as people grow up in different environments. Black people who grow up in mixed environments are exposed to non-Black people. True. But during the 2 years I went to a mixed (actually predominately white) Middle school, I didn't see ANY of the Black or Mixed girls with White boys. Nor did I see or hear of them being attracted to any of them. You're not lying based on VGQ. LOL I do not recall it from the same perspective because I grew up in a chocolate city that had very few non-Black fokks in it. OK. But you didn't get a chance to visit the suburbs from time to time as a child? If so, you mean to tell me that as a kid and teenager and young adult that you ONLY focused on what the Black folks were doing and didn't pay much attention to what the non-Black people were up to? Again, if there was any change at all, it would be 1) environment, 2) maturity level and 3) expectations. Sounds like you're suggesting that there WASN'T much of a change in the sexual relationship between White men and Black women. Atleast from your perspective.
  6. Yes. I'm glad that so many Africans are so politically astute; however they should be careful. Too many of them assume the right-wing Republicans actually MEAN what they say when they talk about restoring morality and family traditions....not knowing that this is mere rhetoric to get votes. When Africans believe there will be less meddling in African affairs under Trump, either way I don't think that will be as good of a thing as they expect. 1. First of all I think it's largely a FALSE belief because as I said earlier....neither Trump nor Kamala actually makes those type of foreign policy decisions. 2. As an AfroAmerican, I actually would like to see America be MORE involved in African affairs than China, Russia, or the Arabs.
  7. Where is OUR (AfroAmerica's) Charismatic equivilant? I'm convinced that over 90% of Black MAGA supporters are only with him because of a lack of a powerful Charismatic pro-Black figure on OUR side who can match him in terms of drawing and electrifying the people. Infact..... I'd go as far as to say about 25% of the WHITE MAGA supporters would actually get behind and support a Black...I'm talking PRO-BLACK!!!!....Charismatic figure! You probably don't believe that, do you....lol.?
  8. ProfD Even if we cannot decide what's right and wrong the law will be a tie-breaker. I was actually going to mention this further down the line but you got ahead of me, lol. We can talk religion and morality all we want, but for MOST people of all races, religions, and ethnicities...the LAW seems to be the final arbiter of what is "good" or "bad" because they have the power to impose IMMEDIATE consequences for breaking the rules. Your religion can talk religious rules all day long, but if you break a rule...other than ex-communicating you...what can they legally do to you? Will their be Divine punishment? But if you commit a LEGAL crime like robbery, you can expect for the police to IMMEDIATELY come looking for you. So if we want to restore a sense of moral and ethical unity among our people, we have to look at the laws on the books and seek to change them to our benefit and liking.
  9. Say what? 'said you don't believe in Conspiracy Theories? Well.....'yo bad, lol. Because many if not most Americans of ALL races and most socio-economic backgrounds DO. That's another reason Trump won. From vaccine conspiracies to cell phone tower conspiracies, most Americans believe something or someone(s) are orchestrating and benefiting from most of the problems this nation faces. Republicans entertain their fears and concerns, while Democrats tend to ridicule them and their answer to every question is to just shut up and "trust science" and not question anything. Most adults don't like being lied to OR lectured to, especially by people who they don't feel has their best interests in mind. Like Troy said in another thread, the Republican party is increasingly becoming seen as the party of the working class masses. Not because they truly have the best interests of the working classes, but they know how to pander to their beliefs and fears. If Democrats and Progressives have the answers to the problems of the American people, then they need to start producing them and solving them in a CRYSTAL CLEAR way that the masses can plainly see and understand.
  10. I know a LOT of Africans who support Trump! They've told me this. And I thought it was because he was Republican and they support the Republican's more Conservative and Traditional platform. What I didn't realize was that many Africans are for mass deportation of illegal immigrants! Which makes sense, because most of them had to come here the RIGHT way. They couldn't just sneak across the border like many Latino immigrants do. Many many Africans from different parts of the Continent that I know say they definitely don't like the LGBT and Abortion platform of the Democrats. I was surprised at how much they knew about the differences in the parties...lol. Many of them can barely speak English, but they know the differences in political parties. As far as Trump meddling in African affairs........ I don't think that's Trump's call. I think BOTH the foreign and domestic agendas of the United States are set by the powers who control the nation. It doesn't matter who sits in the Oval Office...it's set.
  11. I wouldn't say Integration was the "beginning" of our sub-division, but it definitely accelerated it. As much as I admire the Nation of Islam and the great works that it did and still does.....IT...like the Moorish Science Temple and other socio-religious movements of the 20th century played a huge role in fragmenting Black America. Before these groups introduced new religions, new moral codes, and new ways of looking at White people and history....the vast majority of Black America was pretty much a monolith in terms of religion and morality. Nearly all Black Americans believed in Jesus and were Bible believing Christians. The only real division...and it was real...was based on skin color and dark vs light. The various organizations that pulled Black Americans way from traditional Christianity and the church taught Black people how to think in different ways, however it also fragmented the moral and ethical pattern of collective Black American thought leading to more division. Today, many if not most Black Americans can't AGREE on what's "right" or what's "wrong".
  12. Troy Dude, I never said that. Why does nuance always escape you? She lost for both reasons and more. That statement wasn't directed at you, but for ProfD your constant casting of young black men as weed smoking lazy ne’er-do-wells is straight from the MAGA handbook Actually, it's the opposite. Most MAGA supporters publicly IGNORE the Black population...including young Black men...and rarely speak about them or their issues. And when they DO speak to them or about them, it's in a pandering or flattering sort of way designed to convince them that the Democrats and Liberals are their "real enemies" and that they should abandon the Democrat party and support Trump. Now when they are talking to EACHOTHER in PRIVATE...young Black men are often demonized as everything from natural born criminals to sub-humans. But they're sure not to discuss these things in public. It is a pointless exercise as she wasn’t in position to be the presidential candidate. It is simply a pipe dream. I continue to bring it up because it was a mistake that should have never been made.
  13. That's obvious. The question is....WHY? And WHY NOW? We're close to the same age, so you remember the 80s and 90s like I do. Now based on what I remember.......... Most Black American women and even many if not most White women didn't even find White men that attractive back in those decades. Most Black American women wanted Black men, barely looked at White men for sexual purposes...and a good half of White women felt the same way. It was clearly understood...in the United States atleast...that from a SEXUAL point of view, Black men collectively were clearly the most attractive. You didn't hear about Black "incels" and many White men were engaging in perversion and even committing suicide out of loneliness and lack of ability to attract women and "get laid" as they say, lol. Now ofcourse there were exceptions to this on both sides, but this is what I recall society was like back in the 80s and 90s. Before we go any further....am I lying or making this up do you remember this being the case also? And if this WAS the case, my question is WHAT CHANGED about White men OR Black women that all of a sudden they became more "attractive"?
  14. ProfD Mandatory vaccines seem to have been relaxed already. I've noticed. You don't hear any more talk about mandatory Covid vaccines for jobs or school. Troy Really? Do you really want to see a return of measles, small pox, whooping cough, polio, another COVID pandemic? Ofcourse not. However it seems to me that actually focusing on a CURE for these diseases would be a better use of time, money, and energy...rather than mandating vaccines for them. Anti-vaxxers are an interesting bunch. Ofcourse. We don't like simply following the rest of the herd like a bunch of ignorant sheep. We also like actually doing research and WEIGHING different options and opinions on an issue. Once upon a time...thinking for yourself USED TO BE admired.
  15. My question is why aren't the "Aliens" or UFO's THEMSELVES making Their presence known to the public in a massive way? With all of this technology and knowledge, They could easily present Themselves before the entire planet or atleast an entire region and introduce Themselves, stating clearly Who They are and what Their mission is. Surely, They don't need to "go through" Congress or some UFO study organization to get Their message out.
  16. But circus' are usually sold out. People come to see the circus because they want to be entertained. Most Movements are founded and/or maintained around a central Charismatic figure. Like Malcolm or Martin or Gloria Steinem or Ceasar Chavez. The MAGA Movement is organized around Trump and his charismatic persona. His charisma is what made his television programs so popular. Remove Trump and insert Kamala Harris or Mike Pence into the same positions and those "reality" shows would have been a flop.
  17. ProfD So, we're not going to believe she met and fell in love with the man behind Star Wars and Indiana Jones Perhaps you're joking, but it IS possible. Many women fall in love with older men. Too many Black women fall in love with White men because of their SEEMINGLY "mild" and "agreeable" demeanor. Whatever the reason is, I would rather her be in the arms of a wealthy Black man...not him. She doesn't have to worry about him pressing for s8x. ...maybe not with HIM. But you know how those Hollywood freaks get down...lol. richardmurray She just clicked with lucas, who to be honest is a divorcee so i think they had a personal clicking I'll be honest with you....I simply don't like it. I don't care if it's genuine love. I don't like seeing intelligent, attractive, successful Black women in the arms of White men. Would I stop it if I could? No. It's SHOULD be a personal choice. ...but I don't have to "like" it, and I don't. I actually tell Black women this in real life and many are visibly shocked to hear me say this, lol.
  18. America is whatever AFROAMERICANS collectively decide to make it. If this IS a racist country, it's because WE allowed it to be. If this IS a sexist country, it's because WE allowed it to be. If things HAVE gone backwards in this nation, it's because WE allowed it. Our laziness and desire to imitate and get closer to White people rather than form a more perfect union in OUR image and likeness is a much bigger threat to our community than White racism.
  19. richardmurray Well, like I said there is no doubt that she is an intelligent and capable sista. I'm not religious nor chauvinistic so I don't feel a woman has some sort of "place" behind men or shouldn't be in positions of power or ownership. However the fact that she chose to couple up with a wealthy White man and form a "power couple" is what I take issue with. And like you said, unlike those other billionaires' wives...the fact that she already had money before marrying him really says a lot about her state of mind by choosing him.
  20. Why do so many of these Black men like Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather INSIST on making these nobody White men rich by even acknowledging their existence? Nobody would even know who this clownish White boy (Jake Paul) WAS unless Tyson agreed to fight him. Then he ends up losing to him. Just helping White men make money. They don't want to fight another Black man and help HIM make a few million. Just pick one no-named White boy after another and prop them up on the world stage so he can win/lose and make a quick $50 million, and then disappear. Meanwhile they're really looking for a "great white hope" who can go down on record as having whooped the Black champ and knock his ass out; so bruthaz better be careful. Mayweather has a perfect record....I believe. I haven't even bothered to google it, lol. Nobody has beat him or knocked him out. Why he continues to have these exhibition matches with these White boys and risk LOSING that record is beyond me, but rest assured they're looking for that one White dude who can beat him and go down in history as THEE top dog.
  21. People need to understand the difference between a MOVEMENT and a CAMPAIGN Movements promote specific agendas with clearer goals (be they good or bad) than campaigns which pretty much parrot partisan rhetoric. Movements tend to be more grassroots oriented, wholistic, and longer lasting, than campaigns. While campaigns typically last less than 4 years, movements can span DECADES. Think.... CIVIL RIGHTS MOVEMENT WOMEN'S MOVEMENT LABOR MOVEMENT While a campaign is designed to change the POLITICAL direction of a nation, a Movement is designed to and can change not only the entire political landscape but the entire CULTURE and FUTURE of a nation. Trump had...and still has...a MOVEMENT behind him! The MAGA Movement. Harris was merely running a campaign.
  22. ProfD Of course, those booger wolves are checking for any dude with a pulse. Free prostitutes. That's all some men want, lol. OK. I don't see booger wolf big game hunting as a flex. If all a man wants IS somebody to fuck, then they aren't interested in flexing and showing out. They just want a hole..lol. They'd stick their dick in a RABBIT HOLE if they got horny enough, lol. The women have more options too. Besides rape itself, when has the Black woman NOT have the option to fuck a White man???? They BEEN had options to fuck White men, for hundreds of years. They just didn't ACT on those options, unless she was raped or otherwise forced to....which so many where. The difference is that today, many of them are ACTING on those options. Troy & nels Until we get past race, we get past nothing. Telling somebody to "get past race" is like telling a person with End Stage Cancer to just "get past" all of those tumors and muscle wasting, get up out the hospital bed, and go train for the next Olympics....and don't let it stop them. You can try to deny Reality and play ignorant like racism doesn't exist all you want, but at some point REALITY will....in the words of Jay Z...."stop your buffoonery".
  23. Troy that FDR quote is fiction, he never said such a thing, that is why you can’t find a source. I know I heard those words in audio and I THOUGHT it was Franklin Roosevelt who said them. Perhaps I was wrong. Do you know for sure that it's fiction, as in... You heard that quote before, and it was actually debunked? Or did you do as I did and searched the web for it but couldn't find the source; so you just dismissed it as fiction? Mel Nearly 73 million people understand Harris’s platform. Whether they understood it or not, I think most of her supporters simply "went with it" because they didn't have much of a choice. The DNC chose her to be the candidate and the rank-n-file and grassroots Democrats didn't have much of a choice. I really think she was chosen out of LAZINESS. They didn't actually prepare and GROOM a candidate to go up against Trump. They had Biden, but when it became apparent that he was too senile to run, they just chose the next one in line....Harris. The DNC didn't have a real PLAN or STRATEGY against Trump and his MAGA Movement White women, white men, and Latino men polled for voting for Donald in the swing states. None of Donald’s policies protect them, so maybe they believe he protects their “christian” values. Perhaps they think he will bring them a better economy. Well a lot of Black men voted for Trump (only about 20%...but still larger than past Republican candidates) and many more stayed on the couch in silent protest against BOTH candidates. I believe THAT is one of the main reasons Trump got in. Not the behavior of the Whites or Latinos. Although some in the media are clearly trying to spin the "Latino support" narrative. Only in America can a highly qualified, exemplary professional woman do nearly the impossible and still lose the job to a less-than-mediocre, unqualified white man who is also a felon. Mel, now you know the official "qualifications" to be President of the United States is pretty low..lol Just be 35+, born and raised in the U.S. and a resident of this nation for more than 14 years. The TRUE "qualification" to be President of the United States in the 21st Century has little to do with how smart and accomplished you are but how CHARISMATIC you are and your ability to attract and electrify the masses. The actual leadership in the U.S. picks and chooses the candidate they want to run based on THOSE qualifications. Trump was simply more charismatic and commanded more respect than Kamala. Oh, by the way, I read Donald is giving out reparations - TO WHITE PEOPLE!!! Yes. Something VP Harris was adamant about NOT doing. One more reason so many Black men just stayed on the couch. If you want support, you have to explain to people how you will BENEFIT them. It's not enough to shake your finger at them and accuse them of being sexist or lazy or "being difficult". You have to actually OFFER them something....which Harris rarely did for Black men. nels Nope. She was just a pathological liar and a terrible candidate. If being a pathological liar was a factor in one losing the election, Trump would have lost by a LANDSLIDE...lol.
  24. ProfD Well.... If you want to keep saying that Kamala lost because she's a woman and NOT because of how she ran her campaign....be my guest. Perhaps a brutha rolling around in tinted windows, with his music blasting so loud that it shakes the houses 2 blocks away, and weed smoke puffing out of his ride like a damn chimney can CLAIM that the police saw him and pulled him over because he was a Black man. ...but is that the REAL reason they saw him and stopped him? Troy nels is a straight up MAGA, what do you expect for him to say about Michelle? His views don't represent the majority of America OR the majority of voters in America.
  25. ProfD 1. They aren't crediting illegals in Trumps win....but Latinos in general 2. Maybe SOME Latinos who voted for Trump support or atleast couldn't care less about mass deportation but MOST of them don't want that to happen because that would mean a significant drop in their numbers. Their economic and political power. They see Trump's victory as White Power strengthening, and they're trying to play up to it.
