  1. Especially in the lower western Midwest and the Pacific Northwest. We should be aiming for the same thing for ourselves in the South. Especially in states like Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas. There is no way Republicans should be controlling Georgia....with Atlanta in the midst of it. I'm talking Governor, Senators, State Legislators, U.S. Reps, Mayors, Sheriffs, etc.... Black folks should control ALL of Georgia....and all of Mississippi and Alabama to be honest. That should have BEEN ours...solidly for the past 40 years or so.
  2. Christianity, Islam, Hinduism..... I'm not religious and I think religions are man made anyway. However our people should be aware that the Caucasian Arabs were making slaves out of Black people long before the Caucasian Europeans were. Troy & ProfD Prof D some of your commentary here on these forums comes across similar to what Maher says particularly when you talking about the alphabet community Like ProfD, I was little surprised at this accusation myself...lol. I haven't heard him say anything that was homophobic or even anti-trans. Now ProfD HAS...like myself...said things that one MAY consider as chauvinistic. And I'm sure that he...also like myself...is unapologetic for those views, lol. I personally can be chauvinistic and liberally egalitarian at the same time by understanding both points of view and being honest with myself about what I really like regardless as to whether it's "right" or "wrong".
  3. Sillyque Cynique The only legitimate contribution Piognat could've made in his attempt to enlighten, was to point out that I spelled W.E.B. DuBois' name wrong. But he's too ignorant to know that D-u-B-o-s-e was the wrong spelling. This is because I didn't care. I'm not as petty as you are....lol. No sexism...but that's some petty feminine shit. Expect that one if you get into it with another female....not me. but I'm not keen to discuss the secret rituals of Greek organizations on a public forum. "Secret" my ass... The term "crossing the burning sands" and most of what we've discussed already is pretty common knowledge that can be found all over the internet. The ORIGIN of that term isn't, but the term itself is. You don't know what the REAL secrets are because you dropped out of college (🤔 to sell "stuff" out of the local post office, maybe????) before you got high enough to learn more...lol And his failed attempt to "school me" by babbling a lot of drivel was a glaring example of him not knowing what the hell he's talking about inasmuch as his whole premise was based on his WRONG ASSUMPTION about what I "seemed to think". But THIS is from a person who THOUGHT that the Boule was: 1. An organization of both males and females 2. Merely the collective of Black college Fraternities and Sororities. ....until I educated yo' ass, lol. Now...in your own words...you can't resist...lol. Check it: exercised my will power to resist the temptation to get the last word Yeah... Everybody can see this isn't the ONLY thing you're exercising your will power to "resist the temptation of"...lol. People, Look at her choice of words: I also refuse to allow Piognat to draw me into a conversation where he "controls the narrative". She didn't say she wouldn't allow me to draw her into a conversation! She just doesn't want ME to control the narrative. She doesn't mind being "draw in" as long as SHE gets to sit in the driver's seat once she's in! Oh boy..... Foolin' NOBODY but yourself....lol. Troy I thought it was a pretty straightforward metaphor meaning going through the pledge and eventually crossing. If there is some deeper, meaning, please do share it. I will...if Cynique BEGS me to do so...lol. Other than that, suffice it to say that the "Black Greeks" (how silly of a term...lol) got it from the White Fraternities who got it from other older White secret societies. But there is a definite origin and meaning to this saying. @aka Contrarian you are one of a kind LOL! She certainly is. But a kind of WHAT?????
  4. I don't like what's been going on lately with these famous/wealthy Black men being hemmed up for fucking with White women. This is the REAL "high tech lynching" that Uncle-Tom Thomas complained about years ago. Do we see what's going on here??? On ONE end, they are trying to encourage Black women to get into sexual relationships with White men. And on the OTHER end, they're trying to intimidate Black men (with the threat of financial ruin or legal problems) to "stay away" from White women. That's why I Iike what ProfD said about learning how to "fight back". Already on the internet you have some silly sell-outs talking about: "See! That's what they GIT for messing dem white womenz!!!" They're putting the blame on BLACK MEN for doing what MEN do...which is screw women (regardless of race)....instead of seeing thist as targeted racism and an attempt to scare Black men away from White women and box them into a corner of social isolation. We can't let that shit happen. We can't let them take the society back 200 years where White dudes could go around snatching up and fucking any Black woman they see but if a Black man just LOOKED at a White woman longer than 1 minute....they're already tying nooses. We need all Black attorneys on deck and as many Black men in law enforcement to deal with this shit before it gets anywhere NEAR approaching that level.
  5. Not if a Black man is able to get the same thing and move NEXT to him....lol. He'll dust off that MAGA hat quicker than a duck can shake his ass. At some point the nation will have to be re-divided because these rednecks aren't going to want to see an America where Black people are treated fairly and properly even if THEY stand to benefit too. That's the REAL reason the United States hasn't progressed nearly as far as they should have. Racist Caucasians (and other groups) don't want to advance America if it means AfroAmericans will advance with it. They're like a jealous and hateful Ex. It's not enough for you two to go your own separate ways so that THEY can find someone and enjoy a healthy relationship and YOU can too. No. That doesn't bring THEM peace. Seeing YOU alone or in an unhappy relationship is the only thing that will satisfy them...lol. They don't want to see you doing as good as them. What kind of "supremacy" allows my subordinates to enjoy the same lifestyle I do???
  6. frankster There is more in Asia Jeffrey Dahmer was a serial killer, but Ted Bundy killed MORE. They're BOTH serial killers, so what's YOUR point???? You want to run around the place maligning black and giving everybody else a pass and excuse If that's what I WANTED to do, I could have brought up the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and that would have shut you up and ended the discussion. They are ranked no. 6th out of 7 continents in terms of wars Australia is mostly White though...lol. Are you telling me these gruffy White folks who are descended from English criminals are less warlike than Africans??? SAY it ain't so...lol. Historically it is....bring your facts and or links "Historically" my ass...we're talking about the here and now. Where is your evidence? Oh, you need "evidence" that there is fighting and killing going on in Africa? Ok: In theory....what about in real life You already know, which is why I drew that distinction.
  7. ProfD Well you already know how I feel about the Democrat Party. We need a NEW Party specifically for the needs of AfroAmericans but not much of a chance of THAT happening in the next few years SO........ Democrats need to figure out where their HEART is and focus on just a hand full of KEY ISSUES that the majority of the people can rally around instead of pushing this "big tent" narrative they've been doing for the past 40 years or so. You can't be the party of EVERY-fucking-BODY. Some of these weird ass people are going to have to be kicked to the curb. Issues like: AfroAmerican rights and Reparations. Women's rights. Worker's rights Universal Healthcare Robust social benefits Improving the Economy Those 6 items right there could be and should be the main focus of the Democrat party and if they MADE those their main focus....I'd say about 60-65% of the American people would immediately get on board with that because each of them address SOMETHING most Americans are concerned with. But they're going to have to drop all this "trans" shit and this unwavering support for Zelensky and Ukraine. Those are NOT issues most people are discussing at the kitchen table or in the living room.
  8. Cynique As usual you invoke your straw man retorts by contradicting what i didn't say. What I did say was, "bougie" is simply pop culture slang. And I did not deny that the boule had a connection with the DuBose talented tenth. What I further pointed out was that just because you are a Greek or belong to the boule doesn't mean you are automatically wealthy so the connection between boule and the well-off family on the Beyond the Gates soap opera wasn't a "given" as you implied. Furthermore, Sororities are members of the Divine Nine so they do have an affiliation with the boule, something you denied. You seem to think Boule = College Fraternity/Sorority They are NOT the same. The Boule is NOT an academic fraternity. Moreover in 1951, my first year at the University of Illinois, I resided in the Alpha Kappa Alpha (Gamma Chapter) sorority house, and I and the girls in my pledge group remained bonded and friends all of our lives. Woman please....lol. That little dancing, holding up candles, and "walking around in circles while chanting" shit you did in college is NOTHING compared to the BIG LEAGUE sororities that you enter into once you get OUT of college and are being considered for positions of power in and by upper class Black society. So stfu. You didn't school me on nothing. Shut up...you KNOW I been schooling your ass for the past couple of days, lol. And you're probably going to be occupied for a week TRYING to do as much research as you can on just the little bit of knowledge I JUST dropped on you in these few posts alone! I can tell you that there was no worship of Greek gods there as you falsely claimed. How the hell do YOU know? You ain't BEEN high enough in any order to find out...lol You PLEDGED didn't you? Who do you think you were "pledging" to? You "crossed the burning sands" didn't you? Do you even know what it MEANS to "cross the burning sands"???? Even most initiates and full fledge members of those organization don't know what it means....but "we" do.
  9. Which is why I kept saying that BOTH of them were wasting their time with that "live from the capital steps" event. Just like Booker was wasting his time and energy with that 25 hour filabuster. These racists bastids don't give a fuck about integrity or morality or you "speaking the truth" on some damn steps in white tennis shoes and a chain around your neck like rapper rejects from the late '80s. These people only respect POWER, and POWER comes from organized people. What Booker and Jefferies NEED to do ("what niggaz NEED to do is"...lol...shout out to Tariq Nasheed) is get OUT of D.C. and do a tour around the nation organizing the PEOPLE...especially Black and Brown people to rearrange Congress for the midterms, rearrange the governors, and groom a viable candidate for 2028! One of the wisest things President Obama said was: "Don't get angry.....get organized!"
  10. Nah woman, YOU'RE the one who's got it all twisted because YOU are the one running around trying to "research" the shit I'm telling you....lol. I don't need to research it because I've BEEN knowing it....for decades. Stop thinking you know everything and you MIGHT learn something....even from a "dummy"...lol First of all "bougie" didn't come from the "talented tenth" concept, but the Boule itself did....in part. Second the Boule (which isn't it's official name) is an organization for MEN....not women (who have their own organization). So there are no sororities involved. Maybe if your attitude wasn't so shitty some of your well educated girlfriends might have invited you to some of their parties and shared more information with you about their clubs and organizations....lol For those who really want to know the truth, a lot of it was influenced by the Prince Hall Masons who are an organization of men but also have a counter part for women called Eastern Stars. But these were mostly poor and working class people though, so the wealthy and professional Black folks decided to form their own secret organization along similar lines....one for men and the other for women. That's enough for YOUR brain to handle...lol. That FRACTION of knowledge I just dropped really wasn't for you anyway, but for those who are curious about how much I actually DO know....lol.
  11. Colorism is still an issue among our people and it's making a resurgence because of our prolonged contact with Latinos and even Asians where colorism is still very strong among them and often influences the "type" of Black people they want to interact with. I remember in the 80s and 90s....colorism was almost extinguished like a fire. The only place you found it was in schools among little kids. But as I said, contact with a lot of Latinos brought out the hidden desires of some of our people and exposed how much many of them love light skin. Just like a person who loves White people but doesn't want to admit it will often get with the lightest skinned Black person they can find, contact with Latinos gave some of our people just the excuse they wanted to get closer to White folks without actually getting close to "White folks"
  12. Troy My girl Tiffany Cross begs to differ with you over whether or not Bill is a racist: 🙄 It's segments like THIS that may explain why MSNBC let her go. Anyway.... She pointed out how people like Bill Maher uses "fair play" or "equal time" as an excuse to give racist White folks like Trump, Ann Coulter, and Kid Rock space to spew their rhetoric. When was the last time Minister Farrakhan or any member of the Nation of Islam or the Black Pather Party was invited on his show?
  13. Mel So, since you're not a member, do you think something satanic is going on? Jeez! Please stop. They are just people who want to make a difference in the lives of others. I don't ascribe to a belief in Satan or demonology, so no...lol. On a spiritual level I think educated Black people should be careful pledging and taking oaths in the name of and to Greek Deities of whom they know little about. As far as the Boule being a service organization. Hey....it is what it is. What would you like these legislators to do? Focus on local and statewide mid-term elections and especially on the Presidential Election (if there IS one) of 2028. And specifically...although I don't think they're going to do it...reconsider being members of the Democrat OR Republican parties period. It's really high time for AfroAmericans...and non-Blacks who share our values and are willing to follow our lead....to form OUR OWN political party. The recent election of Trump as well how the Democratic Party abandoned Mayor Adams and a lot of other Black politicians over the years has made this point crystal clear. They really need to be spending their time and energy going from region to region and organizing a new party. Or do you have animosity towards them because they have some semblance of power in this country? Or because they can change lives with their access? No, however if you DO sense a little bit of frustration...it's because there could have been another brutha up there with them on the steps. Hill Harper. Hill Harper was running for U.S. Senator out of Michigan and the Democrat Party including the Black Caucasus pretty much IGNORED him and his campaign. He was already a Hollywood star and could have been the next rising star...or possibly another Obama...if they had backed him up but they didn't. Shit like that solidifies my position that NEITHER party is serious about delegating real power to AfroAmericans. And what does their complexion have to do with anything? That's a bit offensive because colorism is divisive. Don't worry about it. You brownskinned woman.....you wouldn't understand It's a light skinned masculinity thang....lol. You can't be talking all day long with your legs cocked open with a small ass package and call yourself representing ME. And finally, where are you holding @Pioneer1 hostage? Where do we drop the ransom to get him back? After these dudes gave light skinned bruthaz a bad name, Pioneer1 had to grab a pair of tight pants and find the nearest mall to chill in with his legs open to get our respect back! But don't worry....what I was packin' MORE than made up for what we saw in D.C. this morning. 😉
  14. It goes back further than that when a lot of Black leaders in the 30s and 40s studied the philosophies of Communism and the terms "bourgeoise" and "proletariat" were introduced to us. In Marxism the term "Bourgeoise" means more than JUST middle class but UPPER middle class. A more accurate term would be Professional class and Small business owner Just like Proletariat is the working class.....masses. It's not just a term thrown around by young folks in the 70s. When I joked about that show being "Boule Behind The Gates".....how in the hell did you think so many rich niggaz GOT to be Bougie in the first place??? As MEMBERS of the Boule their positions afforded them a comfortable "bougie" lifestyle....lol.
  15. Why would you ask questions from a "dummy"? Let me guess... The popularity of the word "bougie" in our community (or atleast before the 90s...not so much after) has to more to do with the mistake a lot of early Black leaders made aligning themselves with Marxism and it's philosophy thinking it would be some sort of better alternative to capitalism.
  16. If you think this is some sort of "insult".....lol....you apparently don't know men very well. Anyway..... How accurate are political polls really? | The Week
  17. Talk about synchronicity.... Funny how I just got through talking to Cynique about the Boule, these congressional dudes start set tripping about the Divine 9 and throwing up frat signs and even the female pastor who was sitting between them threw up some sort of sorority sign. It tells me where THEIR minds are, lol. Mel They're wasting BOTH time and energy sitting on those steps dressed like Run DMC. ...not to mention how they're making light skinned bruthaz look sitting like that. I can't keep watching that shit FrFr
  18. Then why would you accuse me of confusing boule with bougie?
  19. Mel So, you have a problem with the means (data collection and distribution) because you believe they negatively affect the end (statistics). Yes Did you read what I said about the methods they used to gather "unemployment" stats? How could anyone reasonably accept those figures as accurate given the methods used to collect them? I can only disagree that you can trust your eyes. You can't because people can cloak their physical abilities, mental abilities, and finances. Therefore, you can't accurately determine the unemployment rate of those people by observation. Also, using your criteria, you cannot physically observe who is "able-bodied" or if those people are employable. While you're right, from a PERSONAL point of view...I can say that I'm pretty honest with myself. So why should I trust information coming from a stranger more than what I've personally witnessed? I can drive down the street and SEE homeless people on the sidewalk, but I wouldn't even TRY to guess the homeless rate in the state of Michigan much less the entire nation. You can only trust your observation if you first check what the Labor Department is measuring, who they are collecting this information from, and how they distribute it to determine the results. However, observing a sample population, such as who is working and who is being counted in your neighborhood, will never get you to a correct answer. And while it may bring you comfort, how does it bring a solution? I wouldn't compare my personal observations to an agency CHARGED with collecting data to determine these things because my personal observations are obviously too limited. Troy What about people who have 20/10 vision, who can see thing people with 20/20 can't. How about eagles who can see thing now human can see? What about them? They are accurate too with even MORE precision (thanks for something Delano...lol) Or is it your position that only concepts like NUMBERS can be accurate but when it comes to hearing and sight....it's a matter of detail and not accuracy? AGAIN we are not talking about liars or people trying to deceive -- set that aside. Yes we ARE. That was my point earlier. That's PART of the reason I DON'T trust many of the stats being put out. Delano 🤔 -For a person who dropped out of the conversation...you're sure leaving a heck of an echo...lol Nor were you trained in statistics Nor do I need to be to make the point I'm making. They are subject to human error and shouldn't be blindly trusted. It's obvious to everyone else. Am opinion is never wrong but it can be either uninformed or misinformed. Pioneer has hit the Daily Double. Hee hee haa haa But uhh.....don't quit your day jobs as a gigolo & part-time horoscope reader in the down under, lol.
  20. As the late great Honorable Neely Fuller Jr. has taught us.... Given their history, when it comes to a White person.....it's not about proving that they ARE a racist, it's about proving they're NOT.
  21. Troy Is that really your take-away from the presentation. Pretty much...... Because as far as I'm concerned they're just jaw-jacking. They may as well just "put a sock in it" (pun intended) because all of these local townhall meetings and discussions with "the people" are pretty much useless at this point. What POWER do any of these men have to counter what Trump is doing or what he's planning to do? The man is in office and he's pushing his agenda. Plain and simple. Anything short of talk of impeachment to usher him out is pretty much a waste of breath. The focus might as well be on who's going to replace him in 2028.
  22. Troy We're not talking about the end of the "planet" but the end of the "world" or a global system of how things operate. As far as it's end..... I stopped believing in dates after 2012....lol. Really, I told myself I would stop after 2000 after all of the predictions about the world ending before the year 2000 failed. But since the 2012 prediction supposedly had came from the ancient Mayans...I held out for that one, lol. However the Covid 19 Pandemic came close to ending the world as we know it today. People I talked to even in their 80s said they hadn't seen the world shutting down and that much fear and panic before in society like the Covid Pandemic produced. We all remember 9/11 and it changed a lot....but even IT didn't affect America and much less the world like Covid.
  23. And apparently YOU don't even know what the "boule" is. If you hadn't dropped out of college, maybe you would have...lol. Ask your friends Troy or Mel about the boule, maybe they'll explain it to you. I won't waste my time and you wouldn't believe me anyway.
  24. 🙄 Like I sad, living in her mind rent free....lol.
