  1. The family of Henrietta Lacks' has filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Courthouse in Baltimore, MD B against ThermoFisher Scientific. The pharmaceutical company, listed as a defendant in the case, is allegedly responsible for profiting off Henrietta Lacks' cancerous cells to develop the HeLa cell line. According to AP News, the lawsuit asks the court to "disgorge the full amount of its net profits obtained by commercializing the HeLa cell line to the Estate of Henrietta Lacks." That amount could total over $250 Billion. You may recall published reports, indicate in 1951, John Hopkins Hospital admitted Henrietta Lacks to treat cervical cancer. Doctors took the cells of the…

I did not know the race of the people that were shot, it never really occurred to me. So I was watching the trial, in passing, and saw a video where one of the men that the boy shot was about to jump on top of the boy's head. So, YES, he acted in self-defense. This is the link to the video of him shooting all three peop…

@DelRegarding your current deconstruction of time, to me and some others, it seems as if time, or what I perceive as time, has sped up. Tempus fugit! It's like we just celebrated the advent of 2021 and in a blink of the eye, the year is almost over! This perception trickles down into other representations of time in my life. I identify a day as being Monday, and then before i get oriented, it's the week-end! Just recently, I lost a whole day! When I was getting my recyclables together to put out on what I thought was Thursday, my daughter informed that it was Friday. My advancing age probably has something to do with this and the fact that I have no schedule to keep.…

The fantastic Jennifer Hudson would have made Aretha Franklin proud with her rendition of "Natural Woman". Recently, archaeologists have found in a cave the skeleton remains of one of the earliest inhabitants of England(maybe Europe in general). He is called Cheddar Man because his remains were found in Gough's Cave in Somerset's Cheddar Gorge. It turns out the man had dark skin, curly hair, and blue eyes. I know a lot of white people must really be pissed off about this discovery because, if it is true, the earliest prehistoric Europeans did not have white skin, However, his features are not Africoid and he does have blue eyes. Cheddar Man looks more like he is closely related to the Australoid or Vedd…

Although most people of all ethnic groups tend to stay within their race, there are those who still take issue with the matter. But some black/white marriages stand out more than others. For example, a very dark skinned black person who is with a blond, blue eyed pale skinned white person is going to draw the most fire from both the white and black communities (especially if it's a black man with a white woman). On the other hand, a racially ambiguous, white passing black with a Mediterranean white would be less noticeable because their…

Time and Space or rather Spacetime comprises the fabric of our world. And although they have distinct contours we have an easier time thinking and describing Space. Time is analogous to Space. The same adjectives we apply to space can be applied to time. It just requires a change in perspective. Which although it sounds foreign is something that we do both intuitively and unconsciously. If a person is like a fish out of water, we say they were born in the wrong time. When we are in the state of flow time seems to disappear or subject and object merge. We even can say a landscape is majestic, beautiful and other things. We have a harder time with Time since it is intan…

I tune into all of the TV staples on this subject: DATELINE, 20/20, 48 hours, Discovery ID, and last but not least, "Fatal Attraction", which is a black series that I watch on a regular basis. Like Maury's show, Fatal Attraction gives you a snap shot of the life styles of the black Section 8 sub culture or, in these cases, the death styles. Spirituality is the counterbalance to our body, personality and all that is tangible. The body is a ship and spirituality is our anchor in the higher realms. You could exhange spirituality with world view or existential contemplation of essence. Religion is a lower order manifestation of spirtuality. Analogous to the word apple and the object. So your spiritual approach defines and informs your actions personality, thought process, and emotions. All of the later terms are constructs or a way to embody the intangible essence. These constructs are what make life feel real. Its easier to argue religion or spirituality. Than the reality of your body. Yet you…
